This is a beautiful and picturesque pedestrian hanging bridge across River Thames. We came here by taking the underground train to Embankment station via the District line from Hammersmith. Once exiting the station, you will see the bridge, but need to climb up a staircase. Alternatively, you can access this bridge via a connecting bridge from the nearby Charing Cross train station, which will be convenient for those wheelchair bound. From the bridge, you can see beautiful London City view, River Thames and the Waterloo bridge , partial view of the London Eye too. If you are visiting Jubilee bridge, I would suggest to visit the nearby Trafalgar Square, walk over to the nearby horse and parade ground at the Whitehall, Downing Street, St James's Park as a combo tour.

The Hungerford Bridge and Golden Jubilee Bridges is a very nice bridge. You can get a pretty great view while walking across it. The best thing about it is that it enables you to cross the river. That's truly incredible. I can't wait to walk back and forth on it again. I totally recommend it to everyone. It's a unique experience that everyone should try.

One can witness the entire city in a glimpse when on these bridges! If you visit early morning during dawn, you will witness one of the most beautiful sunrises of all time. Very close to London Eye, Big Ben, The Stand, Victoria Embankment Garden, and Southbank Centre. Also, it is accessible for all kinds of people :)

Embankment Station's doorstep, a striking modern bridge offers an unparalleled view of London's iconic landmarks. Could really be enjoyed in the evening when the lights awaken. Adjacent to London Eye, vibrant Embankment, Victoria Gardens, Gordon's Wine Bar, Big Ben, and Parliament. Don't forget your camera or high-end mobile for stunning shots. Bonus: A talented steel drummer adds to the charm on sunny days.

I had the pleasure of visiting Hungerford Bridge and Golden Jubilee Bridges in September 2022, and the experience was nothing short of magical. These iconic bridges, spanning the River Thames in London, offer not only a convenient pedestrian route but also a stunning vantage point to soak in the beauty of the city. One of the highlights of my visit was the breathtaking panoramic view of London's skyline. From the Hungerford and Golden Jubilee Bridges, you can witness some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, and the majestic Big Ben. The view is particularly enchanting during the evening when the city lights up, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for a romantic stroll or some contemplative moments. Additionally, the pedestrian-friendly pathways make it easy to explore the area at a leisurely pace. Whether you're a tourist eager to capture the perfect snapshot or a local seeking a tranquil escape, the bridges offer a welcoming environment for all.

For sure my MOST CROSSED bridge in London. Love getting off at Waterloo and walking into town over this bridge. There’s a pedestrian footbridge on both sides which is very useful. And the bit on the north end of the east footbridge is fun!!! Also fun when a train goes past. Great for views of the London skyline‼️

This is an elegant bridge to vist. Apparently, I've saw the trooping colours and planes going past the bridge (at 13:00). You can get a lovely view of Big Ben.

Nice bridge. With a lovely view of one side of the city. With covid, they have the pathway for walking split in two to allow social distancing. You can get some really lovely pictures. Due to it being right next to the underground/overground track, one side of the bridge isn't very sightly. Would be nice if they could put up some art to refurbish the look - definitely will get a 5 star experience if it weren't for that unsightly side. A better walk to the south bank than the Westminster Bridge still, but doesn't compare of the sights

Some places and magnificent structures are better seen in the night… such are these bridges!!! Here is near the Charing Cross Station.; Trafalgar Square is like 3mins walk away from the bridge. Just opposite the bridge on the entry from the Charing Cross Station side is the lovely Whitehall Gardens. So much to view around the bridge. A lovely sight of the River Thames in the night awaits you here. More interesting and wonderful is the splitting into two (not the bridge 😂😂) of the walkway to allow social distancing due to Covid. Visit here at night and be mesmerized with nightly beauty!!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hungerford Bridge in London, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. This iconic landmark, connecting the vibrant South Bank with the magnificent Charing Cross, offers much more than just a convenient crossing. I was captivated by its rich history, stunning architecture, and the breathtaking views it provided. First and foremost, the history surrounding Hungerford Bridge is truly fascinating. Its origins date back to the mid-19th century, and it has undergone several transformations throughout the years. From its humble beginnings as a suspension bridge to the current steel structure, the bridge showcases London's development and progress over time. What sets Hungerford Bridge apart is the striking design that seamlessly blends with the cityscape. The intricate ironwork and the elegant arches create a harmonious contrast against the modern skyline. It's a testament to the ingenuity of the architects and engineers who brought this masterpiece to life. Walking across the bridge, I couldn't help but be amazed by the panoramic views it offered. The River Thames flowing beneath, with its iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and St. Paul's Cathedral, provided a breathtaking backdrop. The mesmerizing play of light and reflection on the water made it a photographer's dream. Moreover, the pedestrian walkway on Hungerford Bridge allows for a leisurely stroll, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I took my time, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and observing the bustling activity on both sides of the river. The bridge truly serves as a gateway to London's cultural treasures, with easy access to the South Bank's renowned theaters, galleries, and restaurants. Another noteworthy feature is the accessibility provided by Hungerford Bridge. The bridge is wheelchair-friendly, making it convenient for all visitors to enjoy its beauty and take in the surroundings comfortably. It's heartening to see such inclusive infrastructure in a city as diverse as London. In conclusion, Hungerford Bridge is an absolute must-visit when exploring London. Its rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views make it a true gem in the city's crown. Whether you're a history enthusiast, architecture lover, or simply seeking a picturesque spot, Hungerford Bridge will leave you in awe. I highly recommend taking a leisurely stroll across this iconic landmark and immersing yourself in the magic it offers.

A wonderful walk at night with both all the buildings and any boats light up. Especially impressive on the evening I was there were the colourfully light London Eye (bright red) and Shell Building (blue). For anyone wanting to get from the Trafalgar Square area including the Strand to Waterloo it makes a great alternative to taking tubes or buses.

These are two very striking looking bridges with a railway bridge between them, offering spectacular views down the river Thames and of central London generally, and they are both fully accessible via steps and lifts. The bridges are also well lit at night making them an ideal visit during both daytime and in the evening or early morning. The reason for only 4 stars though is beware of the occasional spark coming from the trains, especially in the evening.

Amazing place to capture great pics of the city over Thames and also the iconic London eye. Besides its good for a casual walk too. Not crowded. If you want to have great pics with the London eye here is one point too head to. The nearest station here is embankment. There are three parks in the nearby vicinity Whitehall Garden, Victoria Gardens, and Jubilee Garden. If you're here you are close to quite a few landmarks and places in the centre of London city, including Trafalgar square which is at walking distance.

A rather uninteresting railway bridge, improved by the addition of footbridges added in 2002, which are officially named "Golden Jubilee Bridges" but are usually referred to as the Hungerford footbridges. This bridge carries the trains from Charing Cross station on the north side of the river.

Fantastic modern bridge in london. Probably more nodern than the other bridges. Connects the south side of the river thames to the north side and vice versa. Public can walk across it. Will take you from the south bank of the river across to the embankment. Which is only 5 mins away from trafalgar square.

  • 5/5 Russ B - Endless k. 3 years ago on Google
Love crossing this bridge and there are lifts for disabled access and prams. Great view of the River Thames with spectacular view of the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Social distancing still in place with a divider to keep pedestrians crossing separated, with messages not to congregate or stop so please if taking photos observe these Covid 19 guide lines and if you take photos please try to be as quick as you can and not in larger groups. The original Hungerford Bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in the Victorian era and the current modern version was built to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. It has won both architectural and structural awards for it's innovative design and deservedly so.
