An Interesting stay at the City View hotel to say the least, definitely a unique experience. Now i'm not usually too bothered by a minimal hotel, as i just need a place to lay my head for the night, but this certainly was one that didn't meet my low expectations. You are met with a dark room as you enter, and you would also assume to be met by a welcoming staff, ready and happy to accept your booking. This was not the case, minimal eye contact and blunt one word answers, almost as if they are deeply annoyed you are staying at the hotel and giving them money. An odd start, but i thought i'd press on up the narrow steep stairs. I am under the impression the rooms are not cleaned, judging by the empty beer cans in the floor corner of our room and the strong smell of smoke in the room, other than that the beds were good, but a few suspicious stains on the wall, i tried not to think about them and put them out of my fairly swiftly. I had a good night once I'd left, upon my return i was greeted again in an unfriendly manner, and up to my smoke scented beer can filled room i went. On my journey a guest started barking at me through his door (i am pretty certain it wasn't a dog), then proceeded to scream at his other guest, or possibly to himself til the early hours of the morning.

Filthy furniture and carpet that you would never want your bare skin touching otherwise you feel like you would itch and get a rash. As you walk along, you get this nasty, pungent smell. It's like you are in a batcave. The staff are unwelcoming. The first staff member gave me a curfew to return to the hotel by. I told him I already paid till a certain time. He wanted me to return by 3am or 3:30am. Yet still they advertise 24hr front desk. So it is false advertising. When I came in 2:58am, the staff was sleeping on the sofa in reception and told me to lock the door behind me. I didnt understand their peculiar lock on the first time and he behaved disgruntled with me again, as though he thinks I am his son or someone he knows in his personal life. He gets up to lock the door with a hint of attitude. I go to the bedroom to sleep and feel something poke me when I roll. There are brown particles on the bed of some type of food which i flick off, one by one. The shower downstairs is so small you cannot even manouvre to change your clothes. The toilet area is small and you feel like you are just surrounded by germs. No interesting art, fancy designs, tiles, or aesthetic appeal. Nothing is fancy or beautiful to make you feel the feel of a hotel in this wicked dungeon. The entire place and vibe is just the worst of the worst. It is literally a last resort if you have no other option and want to rest your head down. But personally, I would rather sit and sleep outside than go back to this disgusting place. I wish I could give 0 stars. Or -1 to -10. I would give it a -10. By morning, a new staff member was reminding me to check out. He also had a negative attitude. It's like they are all mad with themselves inside there. When I checked out I just gave him the keys, no eye contact, and a thumbs up, because quite simply City View Hotel is the NHOAT. Nastiest Hotel of All Time. A trip to London Hell.

Iā€™ll be totally honest, im not usually one to complainā€¦ Ā£65 we payed for one night and it was absolutely awful We travelled quite a while for this hotel as it seemed nice on the photos the photos was not at all what the hotel was. Our room was awful Walls were ripped and teared, lots of liquids over the walls of god knows what! Carpet was absolutely filthy. Both beds weā€™re on wooden planks Thatā€™s not all my other half brung all his equipment for a shower thinking there would be privacy absolutely not he refused to shower due to bathroom itself I asked if we could swop rooms he told us no you got what your given. Beds were a little comfy but definitely not worth Ā£65 at all. Even more the cab we payed to get there I donā€™t recommend this hotel at all.

This hotel is a shame! I have never seen something like this! 1 star ā? No.. Zero star ā! The "C" is at the image of the hotel! The reception smell bad. The backyard is full of garbage and dangerous for children. The room was terrible.. I have no word for discrib this! Hairs in the bed.. The shower is unhealthy with mushroom everywhere because of humidity. The toilet brush was so dirty that you couldn't touch it.. Want to vomit.. If you take a shower in this bathroom you are more dirty when you get out after shower than you came inside before shower. It's better to use a protection suit if you want to spend some days in this hotel. Good luck!

I arrived here by chance during my first day in London without booking. However the hotel staff was so friendly and helping that I can't explain Particularly Mr . Zulqurnain was too much concerned about my well being. He helped me out of way to find things in this new city. Since I came without booking, he even helped me to find another good hotel at good price while checking out.

I wish I could rate this property (-1000)! This property clearly doesnā€™t look like or feel like a hotel but a brothel!! So stinky and shady. People checked in next to our room were making too loud noises all night ( they were having s*x) ! . we approached the authorities a couple of times regarding the issue as we were not able to fall asleep and the result came out zero! they didnā€™t even bother! the manager and staffs are not concerned about the customers as soon as they check in! I would never recommend this accommodation !

Friendly staff and spacious rooms. Outside the hotel is a pleasant market to see especially admire as cultures mix together to live and watch.Bathroom under construction and surroundings but looks good and essential.

Staff do not speak or have a minimal understanding of English, the hotel is filthy and stinks of cooking. Dark and Dingy. The fire exit at the back of the hotel is never shut and from the outside the have drilled a hole and wrapped a plastic bag around the fire exit door hande to open from the ouside. Shared shower room and toilet amongst 10+ rooms. The bed lined and consumables and COSSH is all stored out in open in the back garden near rubbish bins where flies are swarming. The back garden is a mess and there are living quarters in the back of the garden. I stabled upon the kitchen which is very filthy and staff are sleeping on the sofa by the reception desk. When i checked out at 0830am i had to wake one of the 2 men who was sleeping on the sofa and he just told me to leave the key on the desk. Lastlty, there is an issue with security about this place.... They leave the front door and back door open all night!!!! Leaving the hotel an easy target for a burglary!!!!!

A pungent smellingy dungeon. Think of yourself as batman entering a batcave. Unwelcoming staff who seem disgruntled and spread their negative vibes to you in every simple response. They advertise 24hr check in but try giving you a curfew to return to the hotel by a certain time, so it is false advertising. The staff member behaved disgruntled with me to lock the door after I came in because I didnt grasp how their weird lock worked the first time using it. The carpet and furniture is filthy. I try not to let my skin touch it otherwise I may itch. The shower area is so small that you do not have room to change comfortably. When I went to lay on the bed and rolled something poked me, when I checked there were brown particles of some type of food on the bed that i had to flick off bit by bit. It's just the worst of the worst. Literally a last resort if you have no other option but just need to rest your head down. The NHOAT. Nastiest Hotel of All Time.

First of all, they don't keep their promises. When rebooking they confirm the date, you arrive there and they donā€™t expected you. Then you have to pay for a 2 person room while you are with 3 people and it is too dirty for words.

It was somewhere to sleep during the incredibly busy period of the Queen's Lying in State, but won't be back. Very basic, could do with a major refurb.

The room was filthy, the sink had no plug and the shower head was hanging off the wall, there was no hot water plus the dirt behind the tv was horrendous. On checking in I was told they didnā€™t serve food which would explain the change in reality to what the picture showed

One of the worst hotels! Dirty , unsafe, unsanitary. You should only use this hotel in an absolute emergency. It should be closed down by the authorities and no longer listed anywhere as a hotel. Any hotel with a toilet/ bathroom not in the room is just not acceptable for sanitary/ health reasons. The staff, as to assume, is just careless, cheap.
