This is a totally honest review of our recent 3 night stay at this hotel. Good points are it is in a good central location and the tube station is a short walk. Loads of take aways cafes and shops etc. We didn't encounter any issues with the locals and most people were really friendly despite the area looking a little rough in parts. The staff at the hotel are friendly and accommodating. The bad points; the room was far too small to be a double room,we could barely move and could only unpack limited items. The room looked really clean on first inspection until we dropped some money and had to put our hand under the bed,it had left over items from previous guests. One light bulb was broken so limited lighting. The bed was uncomfortable and headboard broken. We had to ask for a clean towel on day 2 as this had not been replaced..towels should be standard on a daily basis. Only a kettle in the room so no tea, coffee facilities and no cups. You can use the kitchen downstairs but this is shared so no privacy in doing so. We had a great time in London however and found the location a covenant one. Would not stay again, probably ideal for a single person who just wants to put their head down for a night or two.

Do not stay in this hotel. Even given that this is a budget hotel, the standards were sub par. The place was dirty and run down, with stains on walls and broken things all over the place. We were in a family room for 5 people. It was in the basement with no natural light and the stairs leading down were steep and narrow. The bathroom was outside of the room - luckily no one else was staying in the other basement room, so we had it to ourselves, but still not ideal to have to leave the room for the bathroom and potentially share. They also only left half a toilet roll, with no spares. There was junk in the hallway outside our room: broken furniture, etc. In the room itself, they had crammed in 3 double beds, in a room I would consider 2-3 person occupancy,  not 5-6. Not even enough room for a bedside table in between 2 beds. It was dark and dingy and not very clean. They room door also set off an alarm for 10 seconds every time you opened it (which when you have to exit to go to the bathroom, it woke everyone up in the night with the sound and the light from the hallway). It might be a good location for Bethnal Green, but I would prefer to have to travel back out of the city than stay here again!

Absolute joke of a hotel, paid £377 for a 3 night stay, got told that the A/C was chargeable by the day, the TV didn't work and the room (102) was barely big enough to put a double bed in, which itself was broken...stayed 1 night and checked out the next day. DO NOT STAY HERE. FIND OTHER ACCOMMODATION EVEN IF ITS A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE.

I visited London with my friend and because we arrived at late night. We texted to hotel 3 days before arrival. Noone answered to our messages. Photos of the rooms doesnt match the reality. Ripe heating, the room was so small doesnt match any standards, broken windows, small closet. Thats the reason why i have to rate this hotel with one star. At your own risk.

Rooms are extremly tiny and primitive, once you open the door and step in then thats it the room is finished...just a bed that takes the whole size of the room....they should call this a budget hostel not a hotel

What an amazing stay! Such an accommodating hostess. Fresh towels, clean rooms and comfy beds. The beds aren’t as big as they could be and I’m having a bit of trouble with medical disabilities getting comfy. But the staff are absolutely lovely, and available for any recommendations around the area that you may have. So many tourist maps and so much information! Highly encourage to speak to the staff about local gems in Brick Lane. Location is worth more than pricing.

Double room was only slightly bigger than the double bed! Pretty low rent fixtures and fittings. Air con didn't work (remote control had gone missing.) Claustrophobic as there's no windows. Had ensuite shower and toilet which were fine. If I had to go back to the London office at Liverpool Street, I'd consider staying here again as it's relatively cheap but I didn't really like the experience so can't really recommend it.

I stayed there for about 17 days. As promised during booking they didn't provide breakfast and refunded 2 pounds per day which was very less. The rest of the things are good. Good service, nice location, and not over pricy. Recommended.

Booked for a few nights. Left after 1... Went out for dinner on Sunday night to come back at 8pm to be told that the sink in our room was being fixed. We never said anything about the sink didn't realize it was something that was wrong. The sinbeing 'fixed' had a leak to it and they had switched the hot and cold. The hotel was far from being full so dont know why they would give us a faulty room to begin with. As well as this we werent informed of any maintenance in our room so had to wait for over 30min at night. The windows wouldnt close completely either so were stuck with the noise of a busy road the entire night. Area seemed dodgy anyway and didnt feel comfortable walking back in the dark. Heard many sirens the entire night which just emphasized the sketchiness of the area. There also seemed to be a bathroom right next to us in the hall when opened sounded as if someone was coming into our room. Very uncomfortable situation never stay again. Dont book here.

The room was fare too small ( no chair in the room, because there was no room for it ) . The television was coming of the wall. I was given bathroom in the hallway (something I think is a very important information to be given before arrival) . This is definitely not to be considered a 3 star hotel. At the most 1-2 stars on a good day. The pictures at they're website does most certainly not given the right representation of the rooms and general facility's. My best advice would be to find another hotel. I'm never again staying at this hotel.

The Plaza London Hotel is a true gem. The location is perfect, with easy access to all the city's top attractions. The rooms are stylish and well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Plaza London Hotel. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and luxurious linens. I would definitely book a stay here again in the future.

We (family of 5) had an excellent stay during easter. We stayed 4 nights in a room in the basement (no window), bathroom included (nice shower). Good beds, shelfs for putting clothes/things, several sockets (usb and normal) water boiler and tea/coffee in the room, - cups, plates, cutlery, fridge, microwave in shared kitchen. Very friendly and welcoming staff, asking about our day, and answering our questions. We even had a lady singing birthday song for our son, and she came with a birthday surprise for him when we arrived back after a long day in London. Nice walk to the underground, 6 min from the hotel, with easy access to central London. Groceries, cafes, e.g. good breakfast at "The full monty", excellent italian coffee at Quarantacinque, a tiny park ...We would love to come back!

A fantastic little hidden gem 5 minutes from bethnal green tube station. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. With a 24 hour reception I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room seemed ok at first look, but it has the worst bed and pillows i've ever used, pillows are like a stone, the bed is small and not even straight, because you fall to one side, and you can feel every spring on the mattress to the point it hurts your ribs (i ended up sleeping on the floor using jackets as pillows). But thats not all, a woman from room service entered the room with us inside, and my girfriend told her i was in the bathroom, but she entered anyway, seeing me naked. Truly dissapointing, stay as far as you can from here.

I was shocked at this place. Curtain didnt fit, lace curtain torn, windows didn't fit, mattress cover badly stained, poky room with a kettle but nothing to use it with. Recently refurbished bathroom but no toiletteries except a tiny bottle of shampoo. Shared kitchenette downstairs. Very noisy and all for £135.00. Utter rip off.

Plaza Hotel, Roman Road is an awful place. Manager is rude, aggressive and unwelcoming. He resented the fact I requested a window open and gave me verbal abuse. Very nasty piece of work. I felt so sorry for the young receptionist who only tried to be helpful. Mr Adam, Manager verbally abused him for no other reason. Please avoid this place! I'm reporting them to trading standards, the Council and Hotel Ombudsman. Rooms claustrophobic and smaller than prison cells. Absolutely awful experience!

This hotel is located in Bethnal Green and is easily accessible from central London. The rooms are basic and beds weren't great. Staff especially the cleaning lady were very friendly. Fine for a night but not really much longer. Shower was decent but the sink was unusually small. The hotel was clean though.
