Have been a regular for many, many years now and it never fails to disappoint. The pub aesthetically is lovely, laid back with a lot of character. Ofcourse the outside facade with the lovely flowers never disappoints and is breathtaking all year round. The Thai food restaurant is a local gem with lovely food. The service... super prompt... sometimes more prompt than what you would like it to be but understandable given the demand. Over the years it has become quite popular with tourists but still remains a nice hangout for locals. Must a visit whether you're a local or tourist!

Definitely a unique pub/restaurant. Flowers & plants on the outside façade, pictures of Churchill on the inside and a Thai restaurant at the back. We booked a table there and they told us we can only stay there for an hour. The time worked out for us as we left before the deadline. The food took pretty long to come, around 30 min. We had curries and the Pad Thai. It's not terrible but definitely not like Thailand! Also, you can choose the spicy level because it's actually mild.

When I called up the restaurant that I wished to come on 29dec2023 to their pub for a drink during Christmas and the reception answered that they were full and asked me to do online reservations. Then, I proceeded to do online booking and secure a table on 15jan2024. When I turned up for the reservation, I was shocked that we were redirected to its thai kitchen seating rather than pub seating. We ordered green curry and beer there. We supposed to come to enjoy the pub feel but end up eating Thai food. Green curry was below par. It didn't pose the authentic Thai green curry fragrance. The chicken slices lacked of the bounciness. 2 star Stir vegetables also, too plain in taste. 1 star The prawn roll was mediocre. Good to take along with beer. 3 stars As told by the waiter the waiter, we were only allowed maximum 1 hour in the restaurant. We leave in 30 minutes actually My lesson: next time just come for beer and not food

One of best pubs in London. Pubs outside and inside is very impressive. You just have to visit here and take a beer. Food was Thai-style, which dropped one star from my rating.

Walked in with no reservation and got a table for an early dinner around 5pm with no problem. The Prawn Rolls and Pad Thai (mixed) were fantastic. Ordered it spicy and it was more on the mild side, but had great flavor!

The Churchill Arms Thai restaurant offers a variety of flavorful dishes, particularly their commendable curry and spring rolls. The food quality meets expectations and presents a satisfying dining experience. However, during my visit, I observed a disparity in service. While the food was enjoyable, the interaction with one staff member felt somewhat unprofessional and uncomfortable. This inconsistency in service based on different customers' backgrounds (race) could potentially affect the overall dining experience for some patrons.

Lively and entertaining pub. The front is very eccentric, and the back is a sit down Thai restaurant! Nice range of ales too rather than just lager. Cool Christmas lights, definitely gets you in the festive mood

SUCH a fantastic pub.. was there this weekend with some friends and my sausage dog.. the whole staff from the bartenders to staff to even the cook were so welcoming, friendly and kind. The vibe is fabulous, very bustling. Absolutely cannot wait to go back again. Shout out specifically to the girls working Saturday Feb 29th, they were outstanding

Our visit to THE CHURCHILL ARMS in Kensington during Christmas was an absolute delight! 🎄🍻 The charm of this place, both from the outside and inside, is simply captivating. As vegans, we were unfortunately unable to indulge in the food offerings, but the tantalizing aroma wafting from the restaurant was nothing short of mouthwatering. The anticipation was enough to whet our appetites! We opted for a couple of refreshing beers, and they hit the spot perfectly. 🍻 The atmosphere exudes a relaxing vibe, making it an ideal spot to unwind. THE CHURCHILL ARMS is undeniably a wonderful pub to visit, whether you're stopping by for a meal or simply looking to have a drink and watch some football. The overall experience left us with smiles on our faces, and we're definitely looking forward to returning. 🎄🍻🥂

It's a charming pub with pretty flower decoration outside. We popped in here for a quick drink with family. You order and pay everything at the counter. We had a few pints and enjoyed the atmosphere. They also serve Thai food at the restaurant.

A beautiful & historic pub in London. Even during the hottest day in history, I had to visit, have a pint, and indulge in some delicious Thai food. Green curry with pork. Yum. I was hot & sweaty (along with everyone else), but still enjoyed this iconic spot. Looking forward to visiting again when it’s cooler!

Great Thai Food in a super original setting. The pub is gorgeous with an eclectic decor and a cozy atmosphere. The pint of beer is a bit on the expensive side at £6.90 but they've also have a bit choice of beer bottles.

We had reservations in the Thai restaurant located in the back of the restaurant. The food was good, but not outstanding, really went for the experience of visiting this pub during the Christmas season. The decor and vibes were definitely lovely, but the pub was insanely packed (could barely get in and out!) - definitely no social distancing there! If you’re looking to eat there, you need reservations and please note you’ll be in the back so separated slightly from the madness of the front of the pub. Worth a visit during the year (when it’s less busy), but during Christmas, probs best to just stick to viewing the pub from the outside!

We've been dying to visit that place, it's really such a beautiful pub with warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Although toilets absolutely stung. The food wasn't the greatest, We've ordered a pad thai and a portion of spring rolls. Spring rolls and their sauce was so tasty, although pad Thai had a weird smell and taste. Beers wasn't that good too (although that's about our taste)

This is my fave pub. The Winston Churchill pub is a gem! A vast beer selection complements the antique-filled ambiance. The memorabilia adds character, and the bonus of an adjoining Thai restaurant makes it a complete experience. A must-visit!

If you’re looking for a good vibe and good food, this is the spot!! The interior and the building itself is not only aesthetically pleasing on the eyes but also the food is actually really tasty! We ordered the pad Thai, green curry and pad kee mao. All three tasted amazing. Be warned that the last dish is VERY spicy for those that are not good with handling spice. Would want to come again :)

What a strange but lovely place. Its frontage depicts a typical london pub. Once inside that is there if you wish it but passing through an archway to the right brings you to a bustling Thai restaurant with excellent food in a garden type setting. A very unique dining experience we worth seeking out in Kensington.

To order food you have to walk inside, u will find the Churchill Thai Restaurant. I ordered Pad Thai and Beef Rice , both were very tasty. The place as it is old bar has very good vibe , cosy , relaxing environment , highly recommended to have a bite and cuple of beers after long day work.

Beautiful pub with a great selection of draft on tap. The bartender offered a couple samples before purchasing which was appreciated. We also ordered the Thai food (green curry and pad see-ew) which was delicious. Very interesting interior. Highly recommend!

Walked in and immediately sat at an empty space at the bar. I overheard someone complaining for a table and the bartender told her that these people were regulars for 30+ years. Guess she was out of luck. We had a good experience. Bartenders were friendly. Good vibe. Met some cool people and stayed way too late. Would definitely return and do it all over again.

Love this place. Iconic British pub/Thai restaurant in Notting hill with great food and great prices (£15 per person) WARNING: last time I went there (last week) we saw this band stealing again a phone from the customers in the pub.. apparently is very common in this place. They put a newspaper on the phone and take advantage of when you are busy and steal it.. police came straight away but i don't know if they found the thieves

Well, what more needs to be said about The Churchill? One of the most characterful pubs around. Very rarely not packed. Good bears. Good Thai food in the conservatory. If you're in the area and have never been, a visit is a must.

My favourite old English pub. A place with character and interesting decor. Attracts nice, chatty people. A good atmosphere. I like Thai cousin too, which is quite unusual. It’s definitely the one to remember. Great Christmas decoration outside. It’s always crowded but worth visiting x

Reluctantly, I have to score this place 5 Stars all around - the reason is I don't want it too crowded or change from what is the best pub I have ever been to. Terry built a gleaming tower of quality and friendliness that no other pub has yet done. It stands today, in my book, as the Best Ever pub I have experienced all around. Peace

I really hesitated with the review for this place. Our first encounter with the owner or hostess was horrible. He was rude, dismissive and mean. We only stayed cause we had already paid for drinks at the bar. But after that, everything was very good. The rest of staff were super nice and attentive. The food was perfect and the ambiance is amazing. I would recomend the place, that is the only reason I give it 5 stars. But the owner or manager will definetly drive business away with that attitude. We order the extra spicy noodles and fried rice. Both were very good.

A pub like no other, one must see it. We stayed in Kensington, and the pub was easy walking distance from our hotel. It is a bit surreal, even for London. Meat pies and warm ale .. wonderful. We're planning on another trip. Oh yeah, if you're going to the UK might I suggest the Queen Mary 2 out of Brooklyn. Bucket list stuff.

Church Arm is an exceptional establishment with a fantastic staff. The bar is always clean and bustling with activity. They serve delightful oriental cuisine, offering a wide range of tasty Asian dishes. The variety of drinks available is impressive, catering to all preferences. The staff members are friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Overall, Church Arm provides a top-notch experience, combining great food, a vibrant atmosphere, and excellent service.

In the midst of the ‘lockdown’ it’s time to ponder over old photographs and look forward to the reopening of your favourite pubs. This is one of the most attractive, and most photographed, pubs in London. Adorned with beautiful flower displays in summer and bedecked with many Christmas trees in winter, it’s a tourist hotspot for those seeking a quintessential London pub. Churchillian memorabilia gives the interior an eclectic charm. Friendly staff greet both regulars and ‘passing trade’ with a warm welcome. Fullers ales and other craft beers are well-kept. Food here is Thai only - one of my favourite cuisines. It looks and smells great but personally I prefer traditional pub grub in traditional pubs, so drink here and eat elsewhere. Not a criticism, just a personal preference. Hopefully it will reopen soon!

Stepping into the pub felt like stepping back in time, into a cozy haven where history and hospitality meld seamlessly. The rustic charm of its weathered wooden beams and the warm glow of the lighting created an ambiance that was both nostalgic and inviting. In essence, this old pub was more than just a place to enjoy a drink or a meal; it was a living, breathing testament to the timeless appeal of traditional hospitality.

Cute and cozy vibes in the pub, a little cold in the back with the restaurant and very different feel. Food was ok, but lacked flavor and was overall plain. Cute and cozy inside vibes! Pretty much everything on the Thai menu cost 13£, pretty reasonable.

Proper London pub with tons of atmosphere, great beer and wonderful decor inside and out. The last time I was here was in my 20's 35 or so years ago. Enjoyed here today as much as I remembered I did back then. Will be back....and I won't leave it 35-years this time.

Food is alright but this place is not for people with food allergies! No soft drinks on the menu. The waiter said they serve tomato juice. The person with celery allergy ordered tomato juice but got tomato cocktail with celery! Had to take urgent measures. Stuff didn't ask about allergies and didn't even say sorry afterwards, being rude and telling us it was our fault!! Never again.

Popular not just among pub visitors but also the public - The Churchill Arms is a very unique, large and beautifully decorated all around with flowers & plants. It`s located in a pretty much prominent area of London & is a famous attraction that is pulling the photographers like a magnet. Therefore, it`s a little bit expensive but well worth a visit and recommended to try. It`s captivating.

We really wanted to have some pub food here. The atmosphere is amazing. However, they don’t serve food-you have to go to the connecting restaurant. The food is Thai. I love Thai food, but we can to this pub thinking they would have classic pub food. We were willing to eat Thai, but as soon as we asked for a table, the woman said “you have to each order an entree.” It just have a bad feeling. She was t welcoming, just making sure we would spend a certain amount. We just did not feel like spending 40+gbp on pad Thai we did not plan to eat. So we left and went to The Swan down the street. The place is very charming inside. I just think they should at least do some pub food.

Must visit if you are in London!!! Quirky pub with lots of trinkets on the ceilings and on the walls. Churchill portraits, newspaper articles, night pots, airplanes, cars, everything you can imagine is used for decorations. Touristy but also lots of locals. Food is available in another hall. Really great decorations on Xmas as well. Not too much of beer choice unfortunately. But there are standard choice of Guinness, IPA and cider. Atmosphere is fantastic!

Very very beautiful place from outside. The whole building is decorated with natural colourful flowering plants. Just the sight of it is also very refreshing. Drinks are great. “london pride” is a must try. I haven’t tried food, but it looked delicious. Ambience is best enjoyed when you stand and drink outside.

Yes but no but. I love a Fuller's pub more than most and was chuffed to see ESB on tap but despite the glorious flora and decor, I couldn't help but think it has become far too successful on TripAdvisor or Fodor's. No locals to be seen. The pint was good and the place is a sight to behold nonetheless.

Classic spot for a photo in London and the pub itself is pretty decent! Bit chaotic inside but adds to the personality of it. Plenty of public transport to get there from the hotspots of London, or walking in the sun isn't so bad 😌. Shame they don't have some more interesting beers/ ciders to match the crazy interior.

As packed with patrons on normal days (I haven’t been back since before lockdown) as it is beautifully decorated. And deservedly so: good Thai food with literally the very best restaurant meal pricing in the area, and a good selection of beers (Fulham’s) that are distinct from many of the other nearby pubs.

This pub had the same landlord for about 30 years, he built it up and left a fine establishment when he retired. Hard act to follow. But they have and done it in style. Well done.
