This is for their urgent care walk in clinic Awful on every level. They spent more time trying to sort out payment than they did actually providing treatment. The treatment itself was sub par and had to be undone at a real clinic within 24 hours. This hospital is part of a rotten-to-the-core US chain of for profit hospitals. I hope the UK gets rid of for profit health care and doesn't go down the path that much of the US has taken. This clinic, their obsession with collecting payments and their incompetence in providing care are reasons to choose a different way. Follow-up: to add insult to injury (literally), this hospital sent me a bill for £100 after they collected from my insurance company. When I asked them why, they told me they send everyone that bill and I could ignore it. So, not only are they incompetent, they are thieves, deliberately sending people bills for money no one actually owes. This place should be put out of business and the thieves who run it need to go to prison.

Below one star service and racist ! Needed an urgent appointment to see a doctor at the princess grace hospital. Was on the phone with the front desk, and asked them three times if I will be taken in to see a doctor as all appointments are closed since it was 6pm. I called at 6.10pm to the help desk and the man on the phone was very assuring that I will be able to get to see someone for the urgent medical Advice and I asked him twice if it is available space for me. When I reached the receptionist, Cirillo or a similar spelling to this, had a very confused look and was very rude. When I explained I had spoken on the phone about the appointment he shrugs and says I don’t know and the department is closed. After me three Caucasian people come and they are allowed in to see someone. I ask a second time if I can be seen and he says no and tells me to go to wellington hospital. Since the hospital is at full capacity. Why wasn’t this delivered on the phone to me ? I ask him to tell me why the person at the front desk I spoke to on the phone wasn’t more clear on the current situation about hospital and his reply is he doesn’t know. Then in a very pushy manner tells me - come, come let me take you outside and you read. The poster was saying due to unforeseen circumstances emergency drop in is closed. If this was the case it should have been clearly said before I spent 30 mins plus getting to the hospital and then rejected. Please try to train your receptionists specially how to treat patients. Someone who comes to a hospital should not be spoken to at in such a rude manner. The poster also says please ask main receptionist for more information - only information when I entered after asking about seeing someone is go to another hospital. Followed by three Caucasians being allowed in.

Incredible that a woman’s LIFE SAVING surgery can be cancelled LAST MINUTE because she requested an ALL female staff( due to previous SA).. It appears that Princess Grace Hospital will refuse to administer life saving treatment if their patients do not share their own faith and beliefs! Despicable! If you don’t want to support a hospital with this ethic, go somewhere else.

I was looked after very well during my two night visit. My surgeon Mr Lloyd Williams fully explained my procedure, visited regularly and gave me great confidence. All staff from the porters, nurses, catering, physiotherapists and general staff were polite, attentive and made me feel positive and welcome.

The staff is incredibly rude. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else that is equally overpriced, but at least they treat you right and as a human being. Reception lady was rude, asking everyone to put a mask when she is not wearing one. Then another lady came in that rudely sent next of kins to a waiting room incredibly far away, leaving elderly and non-english speaking language patients alone.

So disappointed with this hospital considering it is private. GP referred me and told me to go to the hospital to make appointment. Went to hospital who told me to go online, applied for appointment online (given that its pretty urgent and i need to be seen within the 2 week period) did not hear anything back. Called hospital again 3 days later who said there is no record of my applying online for appointment and that they dont even know where that online booking goes to!!!!! Now i am being told that my referral letter is not sufficient enough even though i have one from my NHS GP and private GP, apparently it is not signed and only digitally signed.

My name is Michael... I have been at this hospital... I had an operation... and hospital gave me very weak painkiller. ... they promised me... if something goes wrong... you can back to hospital.... and the next day after operation since early morning... I started to feel... VERY SHARP PAIN ... I called the doctor... doctor said... you have to in person appear in the hospital... and they give you more strong painkiller... when I came back to this hospital... my pain was awful.... they refused me any medicines... then they told me if you will pay 2500£ we relief your pain... ... I think.. they didn't give on purpose painkillers to me.... I explained them that you must give painkiller after an operation ... and i called the doctor... and he told them the same.... I was waiting 2 hours... doctor continued negotiations with hospital authorities... I couldn't stand... and started screaming in pain... they promised to give me prescription... and refused to relief my pain in hospital... ... but painkiller need to wait in pharmacy a day... I was in shock... and my pain was awful... then only because I was screaming ... and my head already couldn't think... they agreed to give me painkiller... and after their solution I was waiting 30 minutes... this hospital is not cheap...

Not the services I would expect for a private hospital, especially given how much you are paying for it. I was waiting for two hours to be admitted to my room, after the doctor confirmed that I needed to stay overnight. Waiting for another 2-3 hours for my treatment and was told there are no food left, so have been left in the room starving, in pain and without any treatment. The nurse simply told me they are understaffed, not sure what I’m paying for is any better than NHS. London Bridge Hospital was much better.

Excellent care and well informed by the surgurens and anesthesist. First surgery I've had and everything was carefully explained while also giving reasonable reassurance where needed. Perfectly looked after by the great night shift nurses and discharged same day with detailed instructions for being at home.

I was in the hospital for a day case surgery and all the staff, nurses and doctors were amazing. The care and attention was perfect and I never felt uncomfortable. The private rooms are exactly what you would want and I was very well looked after by Rohini who was the nurse assigned to look after me.

My husband had to get some tests done & the hospital insisted that I come to pick him up at 11am and that he can no way go back home alone. When I reached at 11am, I was told that I could not enter the hospital (covid guidelines) and have to wait (stand) by the side of the road. Every time I asked, I was told that my husband will be done in a few more minutes. I ended up having to stand on the side of the road in the cold for 2.5 hours waiting for my husband's tests to finish. Please either install chairs outside the hospital for immediate family (when you've insisted them to visit) or provide the correct time for picking up patients. I don't understand how it is ok to make someone wait in the cold for 2.5 hours just because the hospital cannot confirm the right time. When a hospital needs to follow covid rules and not let even immediate family in, they need to be better about informing the exact time family needs to come.

After pulling an all-nighter for my assignments, my fingers turned blue, with pain and numbness in my arm. I was anxious but wanted to avoid A&E because I would be kept overnight. So, I decided to go to the urgent care center in case it wasn't anything serious; I didn't want to put my body through further stress. I felt vulnerable and wanted to be dealt with compassionately. Instead, I got a child in a doctor's coat, throwing tantrums which added to my anxiety. He was annoyed because I asked the receptionist when I would be seen (a patient who arrived after me was seen before me). The receptionist returned with this red-faced doctor. I did not appreciate his tone and body language. When I entered his room, he pointed at a chair and told me to "sit" I sat down before he said, "There is a reason why we see some patients before others." Appalled by how he spoke to me, I stared at him in disbelief, thinking, "I am paying for this." He looked at my notes, continued to talk to me with the same disdain, and said, "There are reasons why 111 would recommend going to A&E". His approach was aggressive, and I didn't appreciate it. He was also reluctant to write the condition's name on paper when he told me my suspected diagnosis. I thought it would be helpful since I am forgetful, so I couldn't understand why he responded this way. When he eventually wrote it down, he followed it with, "Your GP would probably be annoyed if you mentioned the name." Again, staring at him, I was in disbelief. I wanted to tell him about himself but chose to let it go; I didn't have the energy. In addition to all of that, I did not appreciate his unsolicited advice on how I should spend my money. He was very patronizing; I am fully aware of my finances and know what I am getting into. Telling me how much a procedure cost is acceptable; telling me I will use up all my money is not. This experience made me think, if I wasn't brown, a woman, and was considered solvent, would I be treated this way? I work in care and wouldn't dream of behaving like this with my clients. Avoid this place if you are a fee-paying brown person that wants to be treated with respect and care.

Took a while on a busy day at the urgent care clinic but the staff, from the receptionist to the doctor were fantastic. The lady (I forgot her name) who gave me the registration form at the urgent care counter on Saturday understood my urgency and was thorough with her explanations, including resources around the area, if I need one. Big shoutout to her! Dr. Eric who took my case seemed highly experienced and explained things I have to watch out for my conditions. The price was also reasonable given that it’s a walk-in. I highly recommend this place.

I had a operation under UCLH with an absolutely fantastic surgeon from UCLH but as there were no beds at UCLH I had it at The Princess Grace Hospital on Nottingham Place London at 7am I was quite early, the receptionists were both very polite and nice, after checking in there the male receptionist took me to my room on the 5th floor, the room is nice, everything clean and a decent size. All the staff are really lovely, very helpful, respectful, kind and very considerate, as are all the staff in the operating theatre. I really can't rate UCLH and this hospital and all the staff from both UCLH and the Princess Grace enough both are excellent, they really do care about their patients and patients needs and so willing to help you and make your stay as stressfree and as comfortable as possible, I can't thank them both enough for taking such good care of me before, during and after my operation. The only downside is the air conditioning isn't cool so the heat is a bit much one hot days and could do with that issue fixing but that is the only thing, I highly recommend both UCLH and the Princess Grace hospital.

I know the medical and nursing care here is excellent because I’ve been here three times before. One of the best in the UK. However some of the rooms are in a really poor state. Here are some photos below. Dirty walls, broken cupboards and a TV hanging off the wall. The window frame is coming apart and the shelves haven’t been varnished in years. HCA really need to better maintain/modernise the rooms especially given what they charge. This is Room 510 on 30th June.

The staff at Princess Grace could not have been more helpful or comforting during my recent visit. Being an American tourist, I wasn't sure why to expect coming into the urgent care with walking problems. They were so kind and helped answer al of my questions. I left feeling even more impressed with London and its people! Thank you for everything! This is a wonderful place for care.

Some Amazing Doctors and nurses but unfortunately supported by a poorly organised administrational team. Prices are also incredibly high in comparison to other private hospitals internationally. Don't deny yourself the support of the Doctors and nurses but expect a great deal of chasing.

I attended the Urgent Care Clinic at The Princess Grave hospital and I was blown away at the level of service offered. All the team, medical and support staff were outstanding. The staff and facilities at Princess Grace Hospital are truly wonderful. The level of care and consideration I received during my recent stay was outstanding. I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough. My consultant, Marc Ladiano treated me with every kindness and consideration at what was a very worrying and difficult time. He was so reassuring and positive throughout and is a most able professional. The nursing staff and the ancillary staff were caring and extremely competent. I have come through a very difficult time with their amazing support.

I was admitted, had tests done and started treatment in a matter of hours. Dr Jameel and his team were fantastic at the private A&E service. He made me feel listened to and was comprehensive in his assessment of my injury. The entire team were wonderful. Chris, the Senior Radiographer, was incredibly patient, very thorough and it was a pleasure to have his expertise for my X-rays. It was lovely to chat with Susan, the nurse during my lateral flow test and she explained the process of how the appointments would run. Dovsha and Angela in the reception team were so pleasant and friendly - they both made me feel welcome and comfortable at the practise. It was a great service all round and highly recommend the clinic to anyone needing urgent care.

The Urgent Care Centre lived up to its name in providing immediate urgent care. The entire team of doctor and nurses on duty on a Saturday evening were very friendly and very professional. Consultation with a doctor costs £120. Any other tests or care are extra. This seemed reasonable for the immediate care provided. Highly recommended in the unfortunate event that you need medical assistance in central London.

I had complex spinal surgery and a 4 day stay. The care I received was outstanding from all the staff. All the nursing team throughout were fantastic and so caring, the anaesthetist explained everything to me, and both the catering and housekeeping staff were amazing ensuring everything was just right. My neurosurgeon was amazing and came to check on me on Sunday too. Special thanks to Rose and Cait - the two nurses mainly caring for me for being so amazing; I was terrified of surgery and staying in hospital but they made it all so much easier. Thank you.

I certainly didn't expect to have had surgery today! I went to The Princess Grace Hospital to get my moles looked at using a procedure called mole mapping, and it turns out that one of my moles actually did need removing! I was so happy that I could do the surgery right there during the same appointment, the procedure was really quick and painless and I'm so glad that I didn't have to go home wondering about a suspicious mole and waiting weeks for an appointment. Dr Ramia Mokbel was amazing too, she really took the time to explain everything to me and even taught me some helpful day-to-day things to protect my skin, like choosing the right sunscreen. After this experience, I'm a massive advocate for getting your moles checked and I'm telling all of my friends about mole mapping - I'm shocked that no one has heard of this procedure, it should be a staple in your annual medical check up!

I had a partial thyroidectomy performed here two weeks ago and cannot recommend this hospital enough. Apolonia in the Pre-assessment team was so lovely and helpful. What can I say this hospital deserves an award for the AMAZING patient care!!!!. I was in here for almost 3 weeks back in May 2021 and the nurses were fantastic, so caring, friendly, kind & funny, the food was incredible and caters for food allergies so well ensuring there's never any cross contamination. Sadly I was in here again in February 2022 for my second emergency admission and despite they had changed things around most of my nurses knew me from the year before it was the same amazing care & as for housekeeping wow they are just lovely I had a lovely chat with some of them who were just the nicest people!. From the moment you enter the princess grace hospital the people at reception are lovely, Tom at the front door is charming and very funny if you get to talk to him, the staff in imaging & the endoscopy unit!. Thank you so much for the incredible care! PS: Auna who is Filipino deserves recognition for the INCREDIBLE care!. She was my nurse in 2021 and again in 2022 and she really made me laugh, cheered me up and is just the loveliest woman you will ever meet!. Auna (Anna) if you see this THANK YOU THANK YOU for the amazing care your a person I won't EVER forget!!!!

I was an inpatient at this hospital following diagnosis at their urgent treatment centre. The hospital places focus on the patient being at the centre of the treatment plan and all the healthcare staff listen to patient concerns with respect and dignity. The consultant care is of the highest standard with good bedside manner and clear explanations. Nursing care is excellent and the rooms are comfortable and quiet, especially during the night. The menu choice is wonderfully varied and delicious. All staff at every level are courteous, respectful and kind and can’t do enough to help. It is this exemplary service by everyone that makes this hospital very special and undoubtedly greatly aided my recovery.

I was a self-funding patient. Undergoing orthopaedic revision surgery against the backdrop of a heart condition the single factor giving me the confidence required was that the entire process was consultant led by consultants who fully explained what they were doing and why. Each member of the total staff team was able to make a contribution to my wellbeing and did so in a friendly and humorous manner. Could not recommend more highly.

First of all, I would like to say that the medical treatment and care I received during my three-night stay at The Princess Grace hospital in Marylebone was excellent. I felt that all members of staff treated me with respect and dignity and I felt well cared for. The rooms were kept very clean and all ancillary areas spotless. However, in my opinion, the food served to me needed drastic improvement both in selection options and delivery. I had undergone quite major surgery and obviously I was put on the “Light Diet Menu” to prevent constipation. My understanding of providing a good diet to avoid constipation should include fibre, fruit and vegetables alongside light protein. The selection offered to me was white bread and rolls, pasta, cheese and eggs which as far as I am concerned should be the things to avoid! There were good protein options like fish and chicken but the lunch and evening menus were identical and even ordering the only vegetables on offer either did not turn up or the portion size was so small it got lost on the plate! The menus did not include anything such as fruit, either fresh or tinned. On two occasions selections were either not delivered or changed. I also felt the presentation was not much to be desired. Having used other leading hospital providers this year I have quite a comparison to draw upon and I must say the HCA “Light Diet Menu” is the worst of the lot. I did discuss this menu with the Catering Manager at the time and she did everything in her power to help but I consider this menu is something that needs to be discussed at a higher management level.

I recently underwent a robotic prostatectomy at Princess Grace Hospital. From start to finish I had an excellent experience. The facilities, staff and expertise were of the highest competence and quality. All services were delivered with great empathy and care.

I was shocked that 2 days after my op I had a call from your “business” department about my bill which the insurer is covering. The member of staff told me there was a problem (not what it was) and to contact my insurer immediately. This is terrible service - firstly I was in a lot of pain and sleeping when you called (why not wait a few days a week - shouldn’t patient care not payment that is hardly late be a priority?), secondly there was no explanation and I’m sure this is something that could have been resolved between hospital and the insurer, thirdly why not email with the detail rather than calling the patient 2 days post op, fourthly why put the owness on patient to contact an insurer - surely could have asked them to contact / explain to me? No pro activity (bound to be an admin error somewhere) - just here’s a problem , you sort it and I don’t care that you’ve been in hospital recently. Unbelievable - possibly the worst customer experience I have had and I certainly don’t treat my clients (who aren’t sick) like that. Some business sense and customer centric behaviour desperately required. Clinical and nursing staff great but what a way to conduct yourselves professionally.

My experience at the day surgery ward was poor. The shift was probably understaffed and I encountered distant and rushed nursing care. There was no discharge process. I will avoid Princess Grace for surgery in the future as I much preferred the kindness and attention I have received from the nursing staff at the London Clinic.

This was my second time at Princess Grace hospital. I specifically chose it because I had such a good experience the first time I had surgery there. I really struggled with the difference in service since 2014. Good things My consultant was amazing but I already have a relationship with him outside of the hospital so I couldn’t praise him enough. My feedback doesn’t include my consultant. Three nurses were God sent - Micah, Rose, Memina, Carys. Loved them! They looked after me at key moments of my stay. Areas of improvement 1. So many agency nurses - I was there for seven days and had different nurses each day and night. I struggled with the lack of continuation of service provision. Mainly because at times some nurses would ask me to tell them the instructions from my consultant’s visit or ask me what meds I had the previous day. I found this very worrying - I was really dizzy and out of my mind with post surgery meds. I could barely remember my own name let alone the meds or instructions! 2. The food was awful! Granted I had really bad nausea but there was no attempt to help me eat something at all that would agree with me. I had to ask my family to Bring food from home post surgery. The catering team refused to warm it up and also the GF menu was very lacking. 3. Key hospital staff really shouldn’t wear strong perfumes around patients with nausea. This was very difficult for me - I would heave eaCH time certain staff would come in my room and leave lingering smells. I feel so bad for even raising it but it was the worst thing. I really struggled. 4. If your catering team doesn’t have capacity - Either provide water for tea especially for constipation post surgery or provide kettles in each room. My consultant had to ask several times for the peppermint tea to given to me several times a day during the I was admitted. 5. Keep the meds at consistent times or explain why some are given later than expected. Two of the days my meds were given to me a few hours later than I was taking them during the other days. My stockings for blood clots were replaced after the physio complained that I shouldn’t be sitting around without the socks on. I couldn’t bend so I couldn’t put them on myself .

I had a great experience of visiting the Urgent Care Center. Short waiting time, good quality of medical care, friendly staff. Regarding the pricing, I think it was decent as it suited with the information on their website.

All the staff in the hospital from start to finish were excellent from the nurses , anaesthetist and consultant. I felt safe and secure in their hands and confidence to go ahead with the procedure. A very professional experience was given by them all. Kind Regards Dave Cutler

😠 This was a waste of time and money and I do not recommend The London Clinic. I had an initial consultation for £300 where I was asked to get some previous test results so we could arrange the correct tests. I provided the previous test results and despite chasing them up several times about arrangin...

🫤 I had an MRI done here and had no issues with respect to a referral or the imaging itself. However, once the MRI was completed and my insurance paid them the money it has been impossible to get a hold of anyone in the imaging department to release my report. 😠 I am posting this on 27th Sept….. my son had SDR surgery at The Portland on 14th May. We had the most horrendous experience in the run up to surgery, even down to the pre op assessment. We waited 1.5 hours in reception without anybody noticing that we had been forgotten, when I mentioned it to the s...
