Very disappointed. Op scheduled was delayed by over 5hours! A family member stayed overnight for a procedure due to the delay. No communication between staff (nurses). Morning after op, was made to wait to see a doc who never did arrive. Never given Painkillers that were meant to be given after breakfast, had to take own painkillers, luckily we had some. Wasn't even helped out of bed or asked if need any help to get dressed, discharged etc (after major surgery). Some staff were brilliant and rest weren't really organised or compassionate. Was seen by almost 7 nurses in the course of 12 hours. Had to even keep asking for water or any help at all. For so many thousand pounds, you'd expect tad better treatment. EDIT: we never heard from the Lister team after we complained. No calls, no emails. I don't think they care once they have taken your money sadly.

Attempted to book a routine scan with the imaging team. Receptionist was friendly but when I was transferred to speak to somebody about the scan I was spoke to in a condescending manner and the person on the other end of the phone even started shouting at me when I asked them to repeat their email address because they were speaking too quickly. Really poor patient service and will be avoiding.

My consultant was lovely but every stage after initial meeting re egg freezing was a huge disappointment. Aggressive receptionist who nearly reduced me to tears, bad communication between stakeholders on several occasions, poor management of expectations from timing of operating procedures to likening egg retrieval to having a smear test. I was stunned I wasn't shown how to use an injection by a nurse and when I called the support line the service was appalling. I give better service to my coaching clients for a cut of the price the Lister get! I was refunded a mere 250 out of 14k spent from a director. Makes sense when you realise many of these places are owned by private equity houses. I'm a very positive, strong person but I was left traumatized by the above at a vulnerable time. Friends who have gone to smaller places have reported much more personal experiences where you're treated like a human being going through a tough situation rather than a moving part on an assembly line.

In almost identical circumstances to the previous reviewer. I attended the Lister for NHS surgery. Overall the care I received was terrible. I provided feedback following this in August but have not received a response. As a result when we started IVF treatment following my recovery, we decided not to go to The Lister having experienced how they treat their patients.

I had such great experience in Lister with Doctor Bora! I had once miscarriage before my baby gave birth... kind of afraid to try another time. Bora just gave me her always patience, kindness and professional advice. Finally my baby girl healthly gave birth and now already 6 months. I will definitely have my next one with Bora in Lister.

I had Surgury here on Thursday. My experience was 10/10, in my humble opinion if people are going to this hospital and rating anything less than 8/10 I think the NHS might be a shock to your system. Upon arriving I was guided to the self isolation room for a covid test before surgery could commence. In isolation I was handled by staff that were kind, thoughtful, respectful and spoke and cared for me like a human being. On completion of my COVID test I was taken to my private room and again handled by staff who were just nice people, I was even handed a menu with food options before going into surgery. Honestly, I can’t fault my experience here, the staff were all accommodating, the nurses very kind and just so helpful and the doctors / consultants were throughly professional. I even received a follow up call today 2 days after leaving to check up on me. Please if you are in any doubt I dare you to go to Wexham Park Hospital and experience for yourself how your hard earned tax gets wasted on people who don’t care for their patients and treat people like animals. Thank you very much Lister Hospital

Lister hospital is really good. The service was top notch. Staff are great, welcoming with a smile on their face at reception. The nurses and doctors were also super kind. The nurses made sure every small details were checked twice. I feel like i have been very well looked after. I had 2 procedures under GA and honestly everyone was so nice. The room was clean with a nice view of the bridge. Excellent choice of food. felt safe and in good hands. Thanks to everyone at Lister Hospital Chelsea

My girlfriend was referred for treatment to the lister for surgery two weeks ago. Everything seemingly went quite well and was discharged the same day. They had booked her in for a check up in 6 weeks and that was it. This weekend she had a complication and almost died from blood loss. Luckily the ambulance arrived in 10 minutes and was able to stabilise her and rush her to hospital where she had to have 2 blood transfusions. We came to find out that this complication wasn’t uncommon after her surgery but this was never communicated to us nor was any other potential life threatening situations. Considering how serious her surgery was, the level of post op care was absolutely abysmal which she almost paid a huge price for. Luckily the NHS was able to sort her out and she’s now recovering. If you want to be treating like cattle, go to the lister. In fairness this is as much the surgeons fault as it is the hospital.

I’m really disappointed with my recent visit to the Lister Urgent Care. I’ve phoned 3 times to give them a chance to redeem themselves but to no avail. Was seen after a cupboard fell on my finger, took forever when there were only two of us there that morning (Saturday 15th July.) I waited so long it was time to breastfeed my son again and I had to leave, so the doctor Irena told me I could go and she’d send everything over to me via email, also that I’d get a call on Monday to discuss x ray results after specialist had looked at it, and that I would also be receiving an open referral letter. Again, I have phoned three times and been told they would follow up with the doctor to see what happened. I’ve still heard nothing 2 weeks on. Shocking service when you pay so much. It’s a shame as the nurses and front desk staff are so wonderful.

Worst service experienced in a hospital. Fully paid upfront and was horrified by the treatment and feel the staff put my health at serious risk. I will be filing a formal complaint but would advise no one to visit this facility.

This Hospital is an absolute farce. My experience: • Post-procedure, the nurses were physically rough when they moved the patient about and unnecessarily aggressive/direct when speaking to them. • Incapable of booking a Private Ambulance to transport the patient to an essential radiotherapy appointment causing the appointment to be missed, and with no availability to rebook another, the patient's recovery was compromised.

DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! We went to the lister hospital for ivf treatment and we were told by our ivf consultant that the cost would be a little over £5000, by the time we paid that she told us we had to pay more and then more after that leaving us with no choice but to pay it ended up costing around £13000, it’s a blatant example of taking advantage of the desperate, and to cap things off We’ve just been sent a letter from a debt collection company saying we need to pay a further £550, how these people ar allowed to do this il never know, if a traidsman done anything like this then he/she would be done for fraud and sentence to prison, our ivf consultant claims she had undergone ivf treatment her self some years back and I find that hard to be true considering the lack of Empathy for the heartache stress and desperation Couples go through during IVF treatment she was blatantly focused on Taking our money and nothing else, No doubt I will more than likely get a comment on this Review saying I am really sorry for your experience if you send me an email I’ll look in to it, il probably have to pay more money for that so I don’t think il bother

EXTORTIONIST, STAY AWAY! I regret not going with a friend's advice to use the NHS for a simple annual check-up. I received an initial invoice from my specialist of ₤220, I have just been slapped with another invoice of ₤710 from HCA Healthcare for who knows what. Reading the other reviews, people mention the same thing about receiving a second bill for "consumables". I just cannot wrap my head around paying ₤1000 for a pap smear, knowing that the true cost is nowhere near this amount. Help it make sense!

Excellent hospital. Beautiful design aesthetic. Felt I was in a six-star hotel. Smiling, exceptional staff, very professional on the day and night shifts. Everyone enjoys working at the Lister Hospital.

I hate posting negative reviews, but it is worth warning other potential patients when an Urgent Care doctor refuses to listen and doesn't even know that the medication she insists on prescribing is simply the generic name for the exact same medication with which I told her I have not had good results. This particular doctor (female, brunette) was dismissive, combative, and incompetent. I ended up having to see an A&E doctor the following day who actually took the time to listen and got to the bottom of the issue I was facing (which would not have been as severe had this doctor provided appropriate treatment) and design an appropriate course of action. I am very disappointed in Lister Hospital indeed.

I’ve just had ACL reconstruction in my knee through my insurance. The service and care was perfect and accurate. The food amazing, the room was big, clean and totally quiet, with great views facing the park. My surgeon, physiotherapists and the whole team was incredibly professional. They explained each stage of the procedure very calm and nicely. I could describe this place as “5-star hotel with operating theaters”

I've been using The Lister for fertility treatment with a private consultant and it has been really positive experience. The nurses that have looked after me have always been lovely and helpful, and I've found everyone that I've encountered to be great which has made everything so much easier. And as for Embryologist, they are AMAZING. The team is so helpful and always happy to answer questions. I also really trust their consultancy. I'm so glad that our care has been under The Lister because we did look at a couple of places and I think it would have been a mistake to go anywhere else.

Super efficiency friendly and helpful They have a branch hospital located in the Shard, which can take all the dr/nurse appointments, scans, blood tests etc. This made my travels much easier as I live closer to london bridge than Chelsea. The appointments are 80% on time, 20% overran about 30mins, during the COVID period, and we were happy about the service too.

I’ve been to two fertility clinics and Lister surpasses in every way. The care here is just incredible. The egg retrieval and embryo transfer are personally handled unlike others where you’re given a cookie and sent on your way. View from my personal room.

Very good hospital - I was there for a Day Procedure, but it went very smoothly. You do feel assisted and reassured all the way, from when you enter the hospital to when you leave the hospital. Nurses are very caring and attentive. It has been helped me getting through the day and would certainly put the Lister Hospital onto my top hospital list should I ever need to go back to hospital (I hope never again though !! Hospital is nobody's cup of tea :)

Miss Jenny Lo had barely looked at me. She has done her visual visit in less than one minute while doing a smear test she has charged separately, been confident that it was all good. Superficial look. Also the test results have been charged by the hospital and that was not properly explained. “Visit”charge 285£+smear test 100£ + test results 203£ (which it’s the only thing I was happy to pay!). I’m definitely not going again!

I recently had a weeks stay at the lister hospital following some issues that came up with the NHS. The hospital itself is clean and well equipped, the staff are absolutely fantastic- every nurse is kind and gentle, the catering and cleaning staff are lovely and the doctors were world class. Throughout my stay I felt supported and safe and my post operation care was 10/10. I would definitely recommend the hospital for any procedure or operation. I am so grateful for the care I received.

Booked 1 day in advance. I had, what could quite possibly have taken the NHS up to a year to do, everything done in 1 hour and 50 minutes. That was with an initial 20 minutes delay. That includes, consultation, X-ray and procedure. Amazing.

Very poorly run. Doctors and nurses are nice but the administration is shocking. Had surgery here earlier in the year and it was a complete car crash trying to get any information from them in advance about basic things like what I should expect, what I should wear to the hospital, COVID testing etc. Just today, in October, I have received a letter threatening me with debt collection for apparently not paying for two appointments in July when I haven't had an appointment since May. Totally pathetic - avoid, avoid, avoid
