My 80+ year old in laws paid £18000 , yes £18000 from their life savings for eye treatment. The process was cancelled due to ill health. We received a letter 3rd April from London Eye Hospital confirming full refund ,,in 28 days..by cheque! There have been countless phone calls chasing up the repayment of the monies which is now massively overdue. Lots of promises and several contradictions by L Eye H leave the in laws thoroughly distressed and suffering even worse bad health. We are passing this over to our solicitors as it is now 15th June.

Update from review I posted 7 months ago - still no refund, neither Bobby Qureshi, the LEH or their solicitors are responding. Taking legal advice now. Dont bother ! My grandfather paid £12k up front for operations on both eyes in April 2016. First operation unsuccessful so decided not to have the second one done. Received a letter in April 2017 saying would send a refund within 6 weeks.....never happened. Have rung and emailed repeatedly and always fobbed off and told they will be in touch ...but they don't. Absolutely appalling lack of service do not deal with these crooks

Had Light Adjustable Lens implants 2 years ago at London Eye Hospital. Cost £6000 per eye but chose them as I was told that unlike other lenses these could be adjusted after implant. Information re these lens was headed "Auto Focus Light Adjustable Lens" so that is what I thought I was getting. On day of surgery in the ante room, the consent form was given me to sign after drops were administered so couldn't actually read what I was signing and I was also asked if I wanted Auto Focus lens fitted and which eye. I thought I was getting auto focus lens and I was shocked when I was told that it was another £4000 (yes you read it correctly) per eye for auto focus lens. I chose my left eye as it was too late to have it in my right eye anyway. Apparently eyes fitted with auto focus lens do not experience glare or starring of lights whilst night driving. Not true, I experience both these. When they wanted to set my left eye I didn't want to as I didn't think my right eye was correct and I was worried that when they got the setting of my right eye correct it would alter the sight of the left one, but they said to me that it was no problem as it could be adjusted with laser later. Of course what they didn't tell me was that was also an extra cost. After having both eyes set and being told I had 20/20 vision I was told I could now drive at night. Tried but couldn't see a thing so had to go back home as it was dangerous. It appears that I was one of the "unlucky" ones who suffered with PCO which is almost like a cataract and Mr Qureshi said it was because I obviously had young eyes (I am 70!!) - think he was saying it tongue in cheek!!!!! Well then I had to have YAG laser treatment and guess what - yes more money £1000 per eye!!! Well after all this my eyes suffer with floaters and it is like looking through greasy eyes which affects my focus. They kept telling me to try and not think about my eyes that it was now due to dry eye (because of my age!!). I had a second opinion regarding my eyes and it appears I have quite a lot of debris in them and that I don't particularly have dry eye. What they did tell me was that I had a freckle on the back of my right eye which is pre-cancerous. Eye Hospital did not mention this to me at all. All in all a truly BAD experience and they have now signed me off as they don't want anything more to do with me.

I was pleased to read that Dr Bobby Qureshi (Dr Muhammad Ali Qureshi) who worked at London Eye Hospital, 4 Harley Street, has finally been struck off by the General Medical Council. Thankfully I only got to the consultation stage. I feel sorry for the patients who he deliberately misled and took thousands of pounds from for botched operations. He should hang his head in shame for his disgusting deceit and greed.

Stefano A Feel absolutely stupid and foolish and guilty for allowing this hospital to operate on my dads eye. Initial consultation and assessement was brilliant and even the point of surgery and 1st aftercare check up. Thereafter, we decided not to carry on with the 2nd eye as 1st operation wasn't successful and it was on their recommendation that it probably wasn't worth doing the 2nd eye. On the day this was decided, we were told that the refund would not be straight away and probably we'd have to wait a few months which was fine. Almost 7 months later no one returns calls or emails and refund still has not been issued. I'm considering taking legal advise as we have not been kept informed and it feels like we have been roobed of our dad's savings. If you read this review please please consider your options as it appears this private Harley Street Clinic is not all what it appears to be. Do your research and don't be fooled like we have as now it looks like we have a battle to recover our dad's money.

Very professional and had can-do attitude. Clean professional environment. Thorough tests before procedure happened and good followup care. No hidden costs. Only slight criticism was delays of several hours on both days of operation. However checkups and followups were punctual. End result (symfony lenses in both eyes - I'm type 1 diabetic so lasik unsuitable) very good.

I have been shortsighted since I was 10 years old. In the last few years I also had cataract built up in both of my eyes. Due to my severe shortsightness (-16 & -17) & double vision problem caused by the shapes of my eye balls, I was not able to see anything clear more than 4-5 feet away before the surgery. Last year in Oct 2015, I decided to have cataract surgery. At the first consultation in Nov, Mr Bobby Qureshi explained to me clearly about the procedures. He said due to my severe shortsightness, the 2 surgeries should be done within a short time, otherwise I would have difficulty balancing myself. My first surgery for my right eye was done 4 weeks after the consultation. The 2nd surgery for my left eye was done 7 days after the first surgery. I had single(mono) vision lens for both of my eyes. During both surgeries, staffs made me feel comfortable lying down & I did not feel any pain at all. When I took my eye patch off the next day after both surgeries, I could not believe I was able to see everything so clear even very far away. At the eye check up after the 2 surgeries, I was told I had 20/20 vision but I would still need reading glasses which is only +2.5. I thanked all the staffs who's been so supportive & I told them my life just began. I had my eye test a few days ago & I was told my distance vision is still 20/20. I waited until now to write this review because I want to see if there's any change in a year. It's still the same. For the first time in more than 50 years, I'm able to see distance clearly without glassess or contact lenses. I'm very grateful to Mr Bobby Qureshi & his staffs.

I cannot thank Mr Khan and his staff enough for the treatment which I received last year. I have dry AMD and prior to vising the London Eye Hospital where I had the iolAMD lens implanted in my left eye, i could hardly read even the largest print and could not recognise people who I had known for many years. I have a lazy right eye since birth and the decision was take to only operate on the left eye.. Since the operation I can now read smaller print and face regonition is not now a problem..My opthalmic optician who was seeing me for the first time since the treatment was truly amazed at the improvement since my last visit. Once again THANK YOU. Edward Green

😐 The front desk receptionist has an attitude problem. Came here for a medical emergency and got yelled out of the A&E room as only patients are allowed to wait there (photo of the reception waiting area). Really disappointing experience. No need to be so hostile when there is a medical emergency - s...

😠 First impression, poor! The staff had no idea about parking fair enough, eventually found a car park around the corner. Came back, toilets are grim, tea machine had a sign "ask a member of staff if you want a hot drink" so I did and they said they have no idea. Let's hope everything else is perfect....
