Whilst this gives the impression of being an up to date modern hospital, there were many aspects of this hospital that weren’t up to date at all. The only thing you can operate from your bed is the bed settings. To turn the lights off you have to get out of bed. There is a bedside light that you can double tap to switch off, but it is too far away from the bed, and if you have the back of the bed up you can’t reach anything, let alone the light. The nursing staff were friendly and helpful. The catering staff too, although for the love of god pull the table over the bed when you serve the food. I had to get up every time and try and push the table, which I wasn’t supposed to be doing after surgery. Just little common sense things let this hospital down enormously, and for what they charge, they need to up their game!!

Extremely disappointed with the service I received whilst staying for my operation, after spending a very large considerable amount of money for one nights stay, I was told they were understaffed, my buzzer was unreachable, so I had to call the hospital to get someone to come into my room, because I was freezing, no one asked if I would like the air con temperature changed. Although the food was nice, the menu was whizzed past me, so I basically was told what to have! With regard to a follow up, this didn't happen for 8 weeks, even though I had asked for someone to call me prior. I personally feel my expectations were sadly comprised However my surgeon was excellent.

I had a great experience. I was quite nervous before after meeting with staff I was very relieved. My experience was great especially night shift nurse Susannah was amazing.

The doctor who was doing my procedure was excellent and knowledgeable, attentive! The staff like nurse and other need to be restrained. I had a procedure on my own expense and could stay in the paid room for 24 hours at list. I was pushed out of the room as the nurse was keep coming and sayiyou look good to me and time to go home, I was in the room for about 3 hours after procedure. Patients can recover in very individual way time ways. I had my blood pressure really raised up so felt so dizzy and pain after operation started to raise so I couldn't leave so quick. I had to call for the doctor to stop the nurse stressing me out, that's the last thing you want to have at the point of time. The food and room was really good and clean up to a good standards. I put 1star for the experience after procedure recovery.

I attended Weymouth Street Hospital this week for a pain management infusion. I had never undergone a hospital procedure before and was therefore extremely nervous. However, the nurses were incredibly professional and, most importantly, kind. They immediately set me at ease and reassured me throughout the procedure. The consultant, Dr Singh, was also compassionate and supportive. The standard of Weymouth's medical and catering facilities were more than impressive! If I achieve adequate pain relief, I won't hesitate in repeating this procedure at Weymouth in the future.

Stayed for one night back in July. Room was nice and spacious, only complaint there wasn't any handles around the bathroom. Food was great. Special thanks to Arden who was very attentive and quick to help me out of bed several times in the night. He also noticed sometimes I couldn't reach things around the bed very easily and re-arranged everything without me asking. Only removed one star as the nurse in the morning seemed the complete opposite to the rest of the staff and to have a bad attitude. She insisted I get out of bed and walk around, completely ignoring the fact that I told her I had been out of bed pretty much every hour throughout the night.

Stayed one night after having surgery and couldn't ask for more. Really modern clean room with ensuite. All the staff were kind and friendly and made you feel comfortable. Food was amazing. I didn't want to go home !

I had a horrible stay at Weymouth Street Hospital. While I was very happy with my anesthesiologist and surgeon, I cannot recommend this hospital. I arrived at 8 am and was told that they couldn't guarantee that my surgery would take place as scheduled, because they didn't know if they would have room. The room I had to wait in was next to a supply closet and a far cry from the luxurious accommodations shown on the website. I waited almost 7 hours before I was told my surgery would proceed. You can imagine how nerve racking that was. Upon waking up, feeling extremely uncomfortable with more pain in my throat then I have ever experienced, the nurse on duty said that my physician did not prescribe any pain killer. It wasn't until a few hours later that another doctor checked on me and said of course I could. The next morning, when the anesthesiologist stopped by to check on me and I told him I was denied pain medication he assured me that he had provided a prescription for it even before my surgery had commenced. There were other issues as well, and when I filled a formal complaint to the hospital they apologized profusely in a letter, offered a ridiculously small refund, and then never gave it to me. I will never come back to this hospital again.

Please AVOID this hospital group and consultant Miss C Mills. I had facial surgery with Miss Mills and on both occasions my cheek implants were too large for my face. I also had other surgeries with her which were not performed correctly . I have been in dispute with the Phoenix hospital group & Miss Mills for almost 3 years now . At first Phoenix hospital ignored my complaint and it was only til my local MP was involved that I was taken seriously . I have met with the CEO Andrew Barker on a couple of occasions and have expressed my unhappiness and how all this has affected my mental health. No one cares . They will not refund my money despite giving them letters from my GP, my MP and second opinions from other consultants. No matter what evidence I provide for them they will never be happy and take any accountability. They are quick to take your money but not offer a refund or support you when you are not satisfied. I would NOT choose them ever . Please do not have cosmetic surgery with Phoenix Hospital because your happiness doesn’t matter . You are NOT safe and in capable hands. Why not safe ? Their consultant Miss Mills injected a filler in my face which has Bioalcamid . Miss Mills gambled with my looks . I have evidence from a complication expert that this was very UNSAFE . Yet, the Phoenix Group are still not taking any responsibility for this error . I am really struggling and have made it known to them how this complaint is affecting me- they won’t refund me .

Check-in was a bit chaotic with a faulty printer and faulty door entry system conspiring to hold us up. There were quite a few people crammed in the small reception area. After that, it was good, though - the nurses and other support staff were friendly and efficient. The fabric of the building ids generally good once you get past reception, well equipped and clean. I was here because the consultant I wanted was able to do the procedure here without too much of a wait. You do have the issue of getting yourself here and home again which is complicated by Covid restrictions although it’s a 10 mins walk from several tube stations. Overall, though, no complaints and there are some outstanding health professionals here.

I was very happy with my experience of the nursing staff. My bed was very comfortable. The food was excellent. I was really amazed though by the poor finish of my bathroom and my dressing gown was a hole ridden rag. I received an email with a receipt attached for medication I had been sent home. The following day I was checking my credit card statement and they billed me for a second time without even telling me.

Unfortunately I didn’t have the best experience at Weymouth Hospital. Felt like the majority of staff had awful bedside manner, felt ignored from the majority of staff after an operation. We weren’t informed of our “check out time” when I arrived, and after my operation being delayed for around 6 hours was told at 10:10 the next day that I should of left at 10:00 (they didn’t have a patient needing my room it would of been empty). I voiced my concerns of pain management multiple times, to which I was either ignored or shunned off with “I’ll see what I can do”. I had to follow this up each time as no one would give me an answer. There was one lovely staff member (HCA) who apologised and seem to empathise with the situation. She witnessed me trying to walk out of my room carrying an overnight bag in the morning and refused to allow me to walk any further due to my condition. I wish I remembered her name to thank her personally. I cannot fault the surgeon, anaesthetist, and the HCA mentioned above. But very disappointed with everyone else involved in my aftercare. We have made a complaint- unfortunately haven’t heard back.

Overall, an extremely positive experience regarding my hip replacement from pre-assessment to the accommodation, logistics, staff and surgery itself. The arrangements and details of surgery were expressed to me clearly by Professor Lee, logistics were flawless in getting me to and from the hospital and the accommodation was both comfortable and very spacious. Every one of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. I would highly recommend based on my experience

Daunting experience especially when I found out I could not bring my mum with me due to Covid. BUT as soon as I got there everyone was so sweet and supportive. Clear instructions and caring nurses. Not as much waiting around as expected which was great although there was a flat screen TV if I was staying for longer. After the surgery the nurses took brilliant care of me!! Thank you to the whole team !!!!

I had a minor operation here in June 2021. My nurses were the amazing Safia and Arden and I cannot praise them enough. The kindness, compassion and care they showed excelled above what I could have imagined. They put me at ease and explained everything that was going to happen on the day, asked me questions to make sure I understood and gave me the time to ask as many questions of them as I needed. My consultant and aneathisist were also fab and again the attention to detail and explaining what would happen and my follow up. Truly excellent service.

I was throughly impressed with the care and professionalism I received at the Weymouth Street Hospital in March 2023. I stayed for 2 nights and the staff were warm and friendly and made me feel very safe and cared for. The facilities were also very good, my procedure successful and I wouldn't hesitate to use this hospital again.

I had a surgery with Dr William Townley yesterday in the hospital. My surgeon is perfect which I have already known for a long time throughout the consultation. The hospital definitely exceeds my expectation. They have taken extra caution to make sure the hospital is coronavirus free. Room is nice and clean, with my own big ensuite toilet. Every nurse is so caring and passionate about their job. It is clear they love what they do. I stayed in another famous private hospital few years ago, despite being charged more, it was so difficult to find nurses when I needed. I had to wait 2 hours to get a painkiller. However, in Weymouth, I was deeply touched by their professionalism. The nurse held my hand when I was nervous and before being locked out under general anesthesia. Also my anesthetist is the best! I always had strong reaction to general but this time, I was completely fine after waking up. I was in pain after waking up which was normal, and they immediately gave me injections to relive it. Few hours after, I was totally pain free and even worked from home from the second day. Hot food has brought to my room shortly after the surgery, upon my request and included in the fees. Whenever I pressed the button for needing anything, nurses always appeared within a minute, smiled to me and put me in ease. I think it is the most important thing as we can only have surgeries on our own in hospital at the moment due to the virus. The excellent care can definitely help to reduce stress and make you feel better when you have to go through the surgery without any families or friends on side. I will choose the hospital and Dr Townley again without any hesitation when needed. Thx again for the great care!

What a great experience. It's never fun to have to have a medical procedure, but being treated like a VIP from beginning to end is definitely a plus. Each staff member I encountered was kind, funny, and understanding. I deal with anxiety issues, and they took this note well and did their very best to make the experience as least stressful as possible and I couldn't be more grateful!

Great hospital, the staff is absolutely fantastic. Nothing is too much for them, empathy is number one. I was taken care of with care and kindness, they absolutely went above and beyond. Clearly they enjoy where they work and have passion for their job. Example of how medical staff should be with patients, thank you to all the staff.

I have undergone two operations in the past three years at Weymouth Street Hospital. The experience at the hospital is one of luxury, commencing with the receptionist who exhibited a wonderful attitude and explained all the consent forms thoroughly. The consultant, anaesthetist, and physio were all extremely helpful. The room and ensuite was incredibly spacious and clean, and a delicious lunch was provided. The nurses during my first operation were very helpful and reassuring, assisting in calming my nerves. However, the senior nurse during my second operation seemed uncertain about numerous things. Firstly, my visitor and I had to request my food about three separate times from other staff members. I initially asked him [senior nurse], and I ended up waiting over an hour for a sandwich and some crisps! When my visitor approached someone else, the food promptly arrived. Secondly, he was not very informative regarding my discharge, so a lot of my stay was spent just waiting around, which led to agitation. Despite this small issue, the environment I was in was very pleasant, and the attitude of the majority of the staff was positive. I would still give this hospital 5 stars.

More of a calm oasis than a hospital. Room was large and immaculate, quiet and relaxing. Every single member of staff I met was friendly and kind and wonderfully efficient . Going into hospital is stressful but my experience at the Weymouth made it almost enjoyable!

Please make sure you teach your staff that they need to talk to their patients with respect and care. Some people may be panicking and need to be explained to what the procedures are and why they are there. Not just "Leave the room!". And "No you can't do that because I said so". Ruins the entire experience. Make sure your staff are educated as to why they may need to explain procedures to people as if they're 5 years old for various reasons and not be dismissive and rude. I asked a male escort why I couldn't be in the surgery room and he was extremely rude and acted like I was crazy. He responded with "because you cant" and told me to get out the lift and take the stairs. I was very concerned for my wife and she's afraid of going into places on her own.

I had feet surgery on both feet. The quite complicated surgery in itself went smoothly. The post-op lunch was tasty and nutritious. The nurses were very helpful and nice. I warned the relevant staff that I have history of recurrent UTIs but I was reassured that the aesthetic would not cause problems, but I've been left since with constipation that won't go away and UTI symptoms. I was also left to wait for the physiotherapist for hours (I could not put my feet down until she showed me how to use the crutches). She was good though.

I was recently admitted to the Weymouth Clinic, for an elective overnight stay. I chose the Weymouth as I had heard from close friends that the care and treatment was exceptional. I was not disappointed. Both my surgeon, Mr Waterhouse, and the nursing teams, in theatre and at ward level were brilliant. On my return to the ward following a good 3hr operation, the staff were attentive, caring, courteous and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, and I had frequent visits from the team to ensure I was being properly cared for. All of my needs were met efficiently and with a smile. The food was delicious and the catering staff so helpful. What a wonderful stay, in a well-organised unit. Thank you!

I chose the Weymouth Street Hospital for my surgery and it was a great choice. I was made to feel totally at ease and any questions I had were answered fully. ALL of the staff were so kind and caring but a special shout out goes to Arden and Suzanna (night nurse). Arden is so kind and caring and an absolute delight, he is a definite asset to the hospital. I must also praise the delicious food, wish I could have stayed longer! I would thoroughly recommend The Weymouth Street Hospital and in fact I already have recommended it to a friend who is considering surgery.

I cannot remember the names of all the staff I had contact with at Weymouth street Hospital but they were all very caring, the nurse that checked me in, was unbelievable caring. the nurse that looked after me in the night was like my mum, remember I am 46 year-old. I had surgery with Mr William Townley just over a week ago & couldn’t be happier. I had had a few consultations with different surgeons however I was never 100 certain until I had a consultation with Mr Townley & I just knew I had chosen right! Weymouth Street Hospital was immaculate, all of the nurses were so lovely and caring, constantly checking on me to see if I needed anything and to answer any questions/concerns that I had, they explained the after care that I needed to do & gave me all the information I needed and advised me to call them if I wasn’t sure about anything. Everything from my room , the staff, food everything was perfect and i love my new nose, thank you

Having left the hospital just an hour ago I wanted to post a review when it’s fresh in my mind. I cannot recommend this hospital enough - the team are amazing; kind, efficient, smart and entertaining. The building is subtly located on the street immediately opposite Dexters estate agents and is easily missed. Inside the rooms are clean and well designed and the bathrooms are both practical and extremely well equipped. My operation was challenging (for me at least) but I was reassured throughout and Mr Simon Marsh, my surgeon, has done a brilliant job. All the staff, including catering, were great. Suzanna got me through a bad night and I cannot thank her enough - but they’re all amazing and there’s too many to list them all. Thank you very much to you all at Weymouth Street Hospital. Alex.
