😠 I would like people to know that in this GP there is a lack of professionalism and customer service. The customer service is awful starting from the reception, every time I call to get an appointment the answer is "There are not available appointments" I have called 3 days in a row and not appointme... People often mention appointment, call, surgery, helpful, staff, doctor, patient, phone, people, service,

I would like people to know that in this GP there is a lack of professionalism and customer service. The customer service is awful starting from the reception, every time I call to get an appointment the answer is "There are not available appointments" I have called 3 days in a row and not appointments available, I have tried online and nothing available. The receptionist is really rude, I asked her so how do I get an appointment if every day I try you say there is nothing, the only thing she said try tomorrow. This lady is so arrogant, you should not put people that do not know how to deal with patients in front of the reception. When I finally managed to get the appointment for a really back pain( sciatica problem), the doctor instead of providing any solution, she told me it was going to be a problem I had to live with, all this whilst she was with other patient at the same time. No medicine, no treatment, she said "your problem is not a serious problem there is nothing I can do you have to leave. I really do not get it, we are paying every month NHS contributions to be able to receive a good service, it should not be like this, we should not beg to receive medical treatment. We are 4 in my household, we all four already registered in a different GP, first day and I managed to get the appointment, not issues, no rude people.

I feel sorry for those specially who are struggling with mental health ,how they are going to deal with. 🥺🤔

Minus actually. Unfortunately keeps having extremely rude and intimating experience from one particular receptionist. I know it’s not Disneyland here, but a display of basic human manners is non negotiable. It might help her to be happier to switch to a different position, font desk is not for everyone.

Dr Su is very understanding and really cares about his patients. I also got a call from a gentleman called Richard from the link department at the surgery today and he himself was so caring and helpful.

In this gp the attention is very bad, to be able to make an appointment it is impossible by phone and in person it is not possible. the receptionists are rude and do not help the patient. It seems that people ask them for charity. After suffering so much bad attention for several years, I have decided to change gp, but not before warning users that we contribute to the nhs what happens at pavilon medical center in brixton. They should close it in a revision or change all the staff for the benefit of the people. thanks greetings.

I have been a patient at the Pavilion for many years. Most recently I’ve been helping my elderly neighbour and also transferred her to the Pavilion. I just want to mention Joy in reception who is always happy to help. Great sense of humour. But overall so very professional and helpful with my neighbours needs. Very caring and professional.

I have personally only had good experiences with this GP. Registration was tricky at the beginning but dad, mum and I are all registered now and they manage to see us quickly and prescriptions are sorted swiftly and the staff have been helpful on every occasion. I appreciate they are under a lot of pressure so maybe don’t come across as overly friendly but they get the job done. I would personally recommend.

I called in today to book an appointment. And to my surprise the customer service of Joy was the best I ever received. I would be glad if she always attended to me very polite and patient.

Told the reception I’m mentally unstable and was feeling suicidal and needed to talk to the doctor asap and she told to go right ahead as the only available appointment was the next day. Apparently the best she could do was put it in bottom of my notes for the doctor to read tomorrow. There’s also a time I called a couple weeks back while crying during opening hours and told them I need speak to a doctor as I was suicidal and the receptionist just rudely told me to call 111 they don’t deal with that their and slammed the phone on me. They don’t mental health seriously at this surgery.

Such a POORLY run and unorganised GP surgery. The front of desk staff are THE WORST, EXTREMELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING. I have had to wait OVER A MONTH regarding GP results, just to chase them up MYSELF to be told “I don’t know why” when I asked why no one had been in contact with me. Appalling service and I can’t wait to change GP.

Been with this surgery for years, always get appointments (even when you had to call before 8am) and now it's even easier through the patient access app. I've found the doctors thorough, kind and attentive. I've moved further away and have not changed, because they are much better than most GPs. I have also always found the receptionists to be lovely and helpful. Don't normally do google reviews but thought they deserved one after 6 years of being their patient.

Very busy surgery, doctors overwhelmed on a daily basis. Sometimes they do not follow up with blood test results, or shared care e.g Guys etc then one has to chase them up and they try to rectify their errors. My issue is more with a particular rude Receptionist, who always seems to be the one that handles calls in the mornings. She is the tall Black lady, who always comes across as very grumpy, queries everything and assumes one is always wrong. In person, she is rude towards people. The other receptionists come across as caring, professional. I don't know why this particular member of staff is allowed to get away with her condescending attitude towards people. Called the surgery at 8.01am this morning, phone was constantly engaged till 8.40am when I decided to get off the phone. Ridiculous phone system, something needs to be done. *Pls note that this Review was written a while ago, and I just edited spelling/typo errors. I am happy to say that the service has improved with most staff in Reception, acting much more professional, friendly and patient. Glad to note that the particular Receptionist/Customer service staff that I kept having nasty experiences with, seems to have left . Good riddance. Now enjoying quality service as the Receptionists esp the European lady, is always polite, helpful, patient and treats one with respect.

I had a great experience here. I called last week in the afternoon, and the reception team answered immediately and were very helpful. They booked in my travel vaccine appointment for today. The nurse (Hilda) was absolutely lovely and very helpful, and even helped sort out a repeat prescription for me while I was there. I asked the reception staff to help me book a GP appointment while I was there and they were very helpful, and showed me how to request an appointment online.

I got an appointment fast after explaining what my symptoms were. I was seen by Dr Cox who examined me and explained possible causes very well. I hope all my future interactions with the practice are like this one

Called @8:01. 115 phone calls rejected. Finally 8:14 they put me on wait for other 6-7 minutes. And on the end I was told that is no more appointments for today and I have to call tomorrow! That is scandal! No words for that. I think after 14 years is the right time to change GP!

Didn't have the issues in the morning so didn't ring at 8am. Rang later to be advised to get an e-consultation. As I was passing to visit the pharmacy, I thought I'd pop in and see if there had been any cancellations. The staff went above and beyond to help me get what I needed on the day, despite the limitations of the current system.

This is one of the best and nicest chemists, very welcoming and warm. I'm a regular - they know my name and are more able than me to tell me when i need a repeat prescription. Very supportive and professional. Charlene is particularly good.

Finding a GP in London can be a nightmare but I have had a great experience with Pavilion. But the best part is how helpful and kind Joy is! Cannot thank her enough for her help.

A lady called Joy is very professional and really takes care of me, she always makes sure that I get my GP appointment as soon as possible and that I will get my prescriptions for my medications. Very helpful and always happy to help and a smile on her face Thank you Joy

This is the best surgery in Brixton. I have walked away from 3 others. They are currently training up new staff. Joy and Brenda are doing an amazing job. Please bear in mind this transitional period and please be patient with them . Training is a tedious affair and takes time. Joy and Brenda constantly try to achieve highest standards possible. They always succeed. I talk from experience. Be very fortunate to be accepted onto their systems. ...and so say all of us. Joy and Brenda are two outstanding members of staff who run this surgery basically singlehandedly. They both perform way and beyond and above the call of duty. To the owners of this Surgery you have two absolute Golden Nuggets, hold on to them with dear life. They are irreplaceable. If someone needs to be spoken to and needs a reset Joy will attend to it with the minimum of fuss. Her man/woman management skills are truly Outstanding. Remember we are all human and errors will occur . These are done quietly and with the minimum of fuss and absolute discretion. Allan Keston

The comments below from a Laura Bush clearly demonstrates this woman is unhinged. She definitely needs help but of a mental capacity. I have never heard such utter poppycock in all my life. This surgery is the best you will find in the whole of London , you may find one as good but you will never find one better as this is not possible. This surgery are polite , efficient, competent and this goes right through from the receptionist through to the doctor's. They only ever need to be asked once and the instructions are always carried out. Absolutely first class in all areas. A Special mention to Joan on reception and the amazing Dr Cox who are outstanding as are everyone else Please ignore the comments from that Laura Bush, she needs a therapist not a Doctor. Go to this practice with absolute confidence. Allan Keston

It feels impossible to get seen by a doctor, but the worst thing is having to deal with the receptionist. I seem to always be put on with the rudest receptionist unfortunately. My first complaint would be that I wanted to get a check up to see if I have ADHD. The receptionist immediately tells me I can get a self referral, but according to the NHS site that is NOT the case. If anything it felt like they just wanted me off the phone as soon as possible. My second complaint is that I reached out to them to let them know I received two missed calls from the doctor (My phone is usually on silent in the morning cos I kept getting scam calls). My phone log clearly states I received only two missed calls, both at 4:05pm but once again, the rude receptionist said I got four missed calls, the other two being at 3pm. I kept telling her that wasn't the case, but it felt like she didn't believe me. Why would I lie about that?! If you are going to register with this GP, good luck.

Useless. They tell everyone who tries to book an appointment to call back at 8am the next day then you’re stuck on hold for an hour as everyone is now trying to book at appointment at the same time. If you work in the mornings then forget about this GP. You will never get seen as they assume everyone is unemployed and free to call and wait for so long. If on the rare occasion you do get through they will offer you a telephone appointment next week where the GP will call you at any random time during the day. Miss that call and guess what? You have to start the whole process again. I wonder how many people’s illness could have been seen to sooner had this practise not taken this route for booking. Terrible. Wish I could give 0 stars.

I had a great experience at the Pavilion. Booked in very quickly to get my IUD fitted. The receptionists were lovely and the doctor was very efficient. Would recommend them to anyone!

👍👍 I cannot recommend heartily enough this surgery, I left my previous surgery of 20 years due to them going down hill. From the moment you enter, all staff are polite, helpful and listen to you.
