😠 I wouldn't recommend this place. They never respond to emails and then claim they didn't receive it. Classes that they don't want get cancelled. Some of the staff are very rude and shout at you. I've heard staffing talking about certain instructors with members which wasn't very professional. I was... People often mention staff, membership, good, David, Fulham, club, great, pool, facilities, classes,

I wouldn't recommend this place. They never respond to emails and then claim they didn't receive it. Classes that they don't want get cancelled. Some of the staff are very rude and shout at you. I've heard staffing talking about certain instructors with members which wasn't very professional. I was told when I joined I could leave after 12 months which I have done now done however I'm now being told I have to give 3 months notice. The place is a big joke that I'm glad not to be a part of. I actually found them to be racist and other members that have also left would agree with me.

Update: I was told at the time of this encounter by the Sales Manager Ziad that the Black Friday offer of only paying £50 until the end of the year and then £100 per month on a long 12 month contract is the best offer and there definitely will not be a better offer than this even in January. Well what do you know I have just been sent an email by the sales team of an off peak membership at a reduced rate of £50 per month! (I can forward the email they sent if you contact me). I was there in the afternoon and was never even told there was an off peak membership. He said there definitely will not be any reduced rate, ever, in fairness to current members and that the price will increase in December so you can add dishonesty and high pressure selling tactics to the qualities of the sales staff here. The sales/membership staff are rude and will treat you with contempt if they cannot earn a commission from signing you up to a long-term 12 month contract. I had been a trial member in the past and saw that they had an offer for trial membership again so was willing to sign up but at the club I was told by the Sales Manager that I now need to sign up to a long-term contract. I was reluctant to sign up to a long 12 month contract as I heard that David Lloyds makes it really difficult to cancel but he dismissed what I said saying it's all "hearsay". I then said I would buy a coffee so I can just sit in the lounge for a bit but he refused saying I need to pay up as a member if I want to sit here even though it was mostly empty. I asked don't they also have a 3 month contract term and he told me the terms and I then ask if I can have a think about it and if not I will leave in half and hour. He refused saying "I will give you 5 minutes. Then I will ask you to leave." I have never been spoken to like that by any staff in any gym/clubs that i have been to let alone a supposedly high end one like David Lloyds. I felt quite humiliated and if you were to google David Lloyds cancellations you do come across many people who have written about bad experiences when they come to cancel their membership so I don't think it is hearsay as he had claimed. The 12 month contract also comes with a long 3 months cancellation notice so you will be locked in for at least 15 months. Ask yourself are you really going to be using this place for a long time because if you change your mind or your circumstances change do not expect sympathy as they will pursue you to pay the full amount.

Currently investing £6.5 million to transform David Lloyd Fulham into one of the finest health, wellbeing and fitness clubs in London. A place to escape the outside world, recharge and reset. As a result of this, David Lloyd Fulham will be temporarily closed from the 30th June 2023 until early 2024

I'm a local Veteran living very close by ...I went in to DL to enquire whether I could just pay and be a member to use the pool to help my rehabilitation for my injured leg and was greeted by a very rude and ignorant member of staff that wasn't interested In helping me , just interested in trying to sell me an over priced membership , they finally said that they were very busy and walked away when I said I couldn't afford the membership. I will be writing to David Lloyd personally to report this as I know he is supporter of British Veterans.

Few years member in this gym, didn't have much problem until i was canceling my membership due to medical issues after a difficult birth. I kept going to the gym very often until few days before birth, but couldn't after, the whole year after birth I had difficulty to even stand up. The only thing they did was sending me nasty mail every few days, trying to blackmail me. Luckly I have all my medical records and as well i can bring up some charges for what they have been doing. So if you can avoid this gym, trust me, it is not worth to sign-up.

I have been a member of David Lloyd Fulham since 2016. It's been like a second home to me, so today (Sat 24th Feb 2024) was a very special day, as it was my first visit since the £6.5m upgrade. Wow, what a transformation. Something for everyone. Oozes class. The Spa Retreat is the icing on what is a sublime cake! Important to bear in mind the location (above a tube station), so to achieve what they have done, is nothing short of remarkable. Well played Kris & team.

Best thing I ever signed up for - literally go 4/5 times a week because it’s such a joy to work out here. This is an overall very good gym, it's well equipped with modern equipment, the helpful and informed staff have a great atmosphere and innovative classes. They also have quiet areas where you can bring your own laptop to get some work done which for me was a bonus! Highly recommend

Arrogant, Rude and Offensive Sales - Don't know what's changed with DL, but they didn't used to have this level of rudeness. No one wants to be told "depends if you want a Porsche or Skoda". Who teaches you this type of language. For the record, Skoda's are more reliable, efficient and eco-friendly than a Porsche. Used DL for over a year before and it did finally get a face lift after years of neglect. It's a good space now with up to date equipment. Certainly not worth the price though. Also, which dumb idiot at head office decided it would be a good idea to charge for towel hire. DL don't know if they are a high end, medium or budget, leisure facility.

The gym is ok and not very busy (except between 6 and 8pm), which is definitely a plus. On the other hand, it is very frustrating to see most of the lockers taken (even when the gym is empty) which implies that other members keep their stuff inside the locker at all times . The staff should enforce this more by opening any padlock left overnight . Staff members have very poor customer service skills, they do not care about anyone on the gym floor except if you are one of their "friends" or a good looking girl. In fact, they spend more time chatting up with girls than looking after the gym. In few occasion, I have found the boxing heavy bag stained with blood and no one cleaned it until I complaint. When something is damaged, it takes them ages to replace it (more than a month for a new heavy bag and the standing punch bag was damaged and fixed with tape for a couple of months before being replaced) and this is unacceptable considering the monthly fee is not the cheapest. I have noticed different times customers not performing the exercise in the right way (risking an injury) and no one corrected them. Unless you pay for a session with a personal trainer, they do not even look at you. Speaking of personal training, when I joined the club I spent 30 minutes with one of them and the exercise routine he made for me was absolutely a joke. Obviously I did not follow that at all. Unfortunately, around Chelsea there is no much choice as the Virgin Active gym is quite old and others are too small, but I will be forced to look elsewhere as I do not valued as a customer.

Probably the worst David Lloyd I've been to. The facilities are ok, free weights are similar to other David Lloyds but a bit cramped and less of them. The pool is average, and no tennis courts etc like other David Lloyds have. It's particularly annoying on a Saturday that they tell you to leave 30 minutes before they actually close due to cleaning etc. This is super frustrating particularly as they already close quite early on a Saturday and a Sunday.

Most of the on site staff (trainers, front desk, etc.) are fine, but their management and back office operations are a mess. It is far too complicated to initiate and cancel memberships, e-mail responses are slow or non-existent, automated phone systems are in need of a massive upgrade. The facilities are fine. Equipment is serviceable. They simply are not the posh club they pretend to be.

Convenient location, friendly staff, but it's never clean. The toilets always look like a provincial nightclub at 3am - the whole place is pretty dirty and when something breaks, it's usually broken for over a month.

The staff is terribly rude and not helpful at all with whichever issue you may have. It took them 2 months to actually release my access card as there weren’t any on stock ?so every time I was going to the gym, I had to explain why I don’t have a card and to ask them let me in, while I was fully paying the membership! Also, it smells like in a toilet everywhere around there. Disgusting! Regret that I have subscribed for a 1 year contract, wouldn’t advise you that.

I had a really bad experience with the gym receptionist ("Tayla" or something like that) not recommended. I'm new in the area and I asked for a tour to see the gym facilities with a friend and she reply that there is nobody available and she asked me for my phone number to call me back... for a 2 minutes tour...

Quite disappointing for those who are interested in yoga. The yoga lady didn't seem to be into yoga at all, unsure if she even practises it. She didn't even bother to grab a mat and demonstrate at least something. The class was going in complete silence, which made it even more boring, I've always thought that relaxing background music is a must for yoga. Barely made it till the end, even though it lasted only 1 hour, while I normally attended 1,5 hour classes. Good gym and swimming pool though. Locker room could be better, it lacks free lockers, looks like people are used to occupying them forever. A shelf to separate your shoes from clothes could be a great idea for lockers.

Do not waste your time booking a membership at this gym! They stole my money a few weeks ago and now I’ve been chasing them for a refund with a complete lack of service and great difficulty. I went to view David Lloyd Fulham club back in December and had my membership booked, but upon being shown around the gym, I realised it wasn’t pleasant enough to commit to. I cancelled my membership a few days after, and now in July, 7 whole months later I’ve been charged an unauthorised payment for a gym I never even used! I have sent several emails and called them many times, only to be redirected to numerous email addresses or telephone numbers claiming that it is not their issue to deal with. And still I have not got a response or a confirmation that they will process a refund, despite them acknowledging that it was their fault (the first time I got through to them) and them confirming I had in fact cancelled my membership 7 months ago. By the looks of things they’ve stolen money from many others too. I should not be the one chasing with great difficulty to receive back my stolen funds. Unprofessional and ill serviced. Also not even a half-decent gym for its extortionate fees. Please do avoid them.

The gym is nice and has good amenities. I can't say it's exactly Covid-safe if you care for that, staff don't bother wearing masks at reception or through the gym (though they're meant to) and the gym does get super busy and no distancing is possible because they don't control the number of people being in at one time. Most annoying experience is with their customer service which is appalling - it's essentially non-existing, I don't think such a department is in place though they claim to have one. We signed up for a 3-month membership and they promised to offer the month of December for free - naturally they charged us for it. Half way through the membership we gave notice to end our membership after those 3 months we agreed on. To date, nobody from Customer Service has reached out to us to discuss this (it's been almost 2 months). They even scheduled a call at a convenient time for them and nobody reached out still. The experience is deserving of 1-star which is a shame considering the gym itself is nice though given their price point, they're miles away from the likes of Third Space.

Very arrogant staff at reception, I mostly go to a lot of DL's where the reception team are amazing, particularly Epsom and Hampton, When asking for a second towel at Fulham because there towels are very small I was told I was only allowed one! when I asked if I could have a second and declined I was read the contract rules! Don't expect a nice vibe hear, they are rude....

i dont know why there are so meany bad review's , but i have only ever been in the pool and spa. Its always clean and tidy, the staff are always welcoming, and if theirs a problem , they do try and fix it and listen to your concerns and at the moment i do have a complaint in and it is being dealt with and i know with out a dought it will get solved , i have the family membership @£215pm 2 adults and 4 kids and that is cheap considering what you get , there family friendly with proper changing facility's unlike virgin active who dont give safe changing facility (only the lowest and the highest have them) and some of them (like Chelsea are very grotty) i know with DL its clean, in one of the reviews i seen about replacing a boxing puch bag , taken a long time.. in the spa there was broken bench it took them 1 day to fix it see to me that was quick. i like the company of the staff there, to them people who have something bad to say , try talking to the staff and pop up a question or 2 , insted of being snotty and just walk past them and never open a conversation , and when you do its just to complane, im rating this 5 stars because that is what i feel is right, the kids are happy there , im happy there.

Great renovation. One thing I am not so happy about : - only 1 towel per person to use the pools/spa. It would be more reasonable to give the option of taking up to 2 towels per person. By the time I am done using the pool/spa amenities my towel is soaked and it’s been everywhere. Not great and with what we pay for memberships I don’t think it’s reasonable to charge for the second towel. I don’t understand the reason of this towel rule.

You can't get any closer to the station (Fulham Broadway Underground Station) than this gym. When advising clients about choosing a fitness space, we always say, convenience is a strong 1 consideration. This place is very ideal if you are commuting through Fulham Broadway Underground Station to and from work. All you have to do is decided to fit it in before or after work and then actually do it. Check it and see if will be convenient for you. Good luck. [F]

This gym is the best in the area. It is large roomy with plenty of space. Machines are new. Most staff are prepared to help you if you ask.Pool and spa very nice. I see here some say its expensive well i trialed a cheaper gym, and couldn't get on any equipment, they didn't offer complimentary towels and didnt have a jacuzzi some had no steam room either. So its a case of you get what you pay for. Another huge plus it is directly above the underground!!

They have a large variety of workout equipments, and different classes to choose from all day long. The gym itself and the changing rooms (including the pool) are kept clean. If you need to take a work call, they have a nice and quite cafe area as well.

Highly recommend the swimming facility and instructors here for children who want to learn how to swim. The only thing is if you are at beginner level make sure you ask if your instructor is available to teach in water because not all instructors teach in water. My child has been learning swimming here for a few months now, he has improved a lot and is more confident in water, when we first came here he was only at beginner level now he can swim like a happy little fish. A big thank you to Attila and Louise(sorry if I miss spell names), they are very professional and good at teaching children.

I would personally like to thank Sam for all his support and help to set up my fathers fitness journey. He lacked a lot of motivation and wasn’t too familiar with the concept of dieting and a solid exercise routine, with the help of Sam’s knowledge and experience my father is actively using the gym. Hats off to you Sam! You deserve recognition for your dedication. Thank you for always checking up on him and greeting him warmly.

Amazing refurb, which we knew it would be. Gym, classes, pool, spa.... something for everyone. And much enhanced cafe and workspace even with booths! The staff sooooo much more welcoming than David Lloyd Raynes Park which has real problems with its culture and treatment of customers. One criticism...... naked woman artwork in spa.... really? Objectification....

I don’t use the gym equipment, I normally would use the pool and do classes. I just wish we had more aqua, dance and Zumba classes as the teachers are honestly the best I ever had! Love them all!

I am writing this review because I feel I have been treated unfairly and I feel that every time I go to the gym. I have registered with David Lloyd Fulham gym about a year and a half, I did get Diamond membership to use Raynes Park gym which I loved. My home club was Fulham. In June 2023 right before closing the club for refurbishing, I had serious surgery in my Knee and required between 9-12 months recovery which I couldn’t drive and exercise other than my physio exercise. I did request to downgrade my membership because I can’t use Raynes Park gym which was far away and need to travel by my car and I live in Chelsea. They said is not allowed because I am in initial period. But I can cancel which I did. When I was thinking about any gyms around my area It was Fulham the closest so I cancelled the cancellation. When I finished my initial period I did request to downgrad my membership before opening the Fulham gym. They did offer me same prices as anyone wants to join and only use Fulham and lose the Diamond membership. It was £5 less than my membership. It was not my problem to close that gym and offer us to go to Kensington one which was absolutely ridiculous and not ventilated, it was basement and the lifts were always out of order. In top of that, I find the customer service people not polite at all. You can check our chats. Also I have 3 guest passes I can’t use them for the first 3 months and asked to use them in other gyms which is really annoying. I did not write this review to offer me discount.

I am a new member of the club. Definitely enjoyed my visit. For what I pay, I think they do offer a lot, especially with the spacious gym, a pool, steam and sauna room. Would definitely recommend! Sam also gave us a good tour of the club before we joined. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I do try to go when it's less busy, so not sure what it looks like when crowded.

Never have I dealt with a more frustrating gym in my entire life. There is no way to get in contact with management. I’ve tried phoning and emailing (over 10x now) about cancelling my membership (because I moved out of the UK) months ago and I’m still getting emails about payments and membership fees. They are totally incompetent and I’m hoping by posting a public review something will get done.

Good decent equipment and facilities but very pushy staff and management.

Great place. Great equipment. Great Staff. Easy to get to!

Great gym and class offerings!! I am impressed with the facility overall. Great selection of equipment. The changing rooms offer lockers, large towels, hair dryers, ghd hair straighteners, and the showers have shampoo/conditioner/body wash. These small details make a difference in the amount of stuff I have to carry in my gym bag. I feel the gym itself though should have more equipment/space for what it costs.

(Translated by Google) Good: The setting is very nice and the location is great. The gym is very well equipped and some work has been done recently.  Bad: The staff is arrogant, rude and unprofessional. They never know how to answer our questions and always ask us to send an email to the management. This is where it gets worse: no response or weeks after, and stereotypical answers that do not really answer the question. Bad: the payment service. I stopped the direct debit because they always withdrew my daughter's subscription when she was no longer a member. It took months before finally I decided to cancel the Direct debit. I pay every month directly at the reception. Unfortunately the payment is not always registered on my account and I had to come several times to provide proof of my payment. In short, beautiful gym well equipped but deplorable administrative management.

The Staff are rude & arrogant if you have a basic membership. Quick to tell u the hrs u are allowed to use the facility. I think it is unfair if you have a basic package u can only go at certain times!!!

The gym is amazing, love the pool, sauna and steam room too... Jacuzzi is ok and the location is so easy to get to.... Only thing is, they should be open later on a weekend...!!

Great gym with swimming pool for the ones interested. Just more and more members, so less and less exclusive for the high fees, but still definitely recommended even if it happens you struggle to find the exact weights or space you'd like to have to exercise, because already taken by others.

So I’ve been a member of DL for a few years. Firstly I was at kid Brooke and for the past year DL Fulham. Unfortunately, due to many reasons I am leaving DL and have to deal with 3 months of notice. I just don’t think it’s worth the money they are asking for anymore. The gym here is okay, not enough squat racks but a good selection of dumbbells. The functionality equipment is also not bad, but I’ve seen the same standard at much much cheaper clubs. The gym itself is far too dark, I don’t know if this is because they are trying to create some kind of vibe but a little more light would be good to see what I’m actually flippin doing…During the day it’s not very busy, but at peak times there’s too many people. There are classes of which I’ve done about two but I’ve had no bad experiences here and the trainers seem nice. The spa facilities are okay, the steam room seems to often be closed which is annoying. Recently, they have stopped members of Fulham going to Acton park completely(I liked to go there every now and then for a change) and use the outside pool. I spoke with the manager about this, he said there was nothing he could do. Ultimately, I’m not willing to pay £120 a month to just use this facility anymore and if I’m honest I wouldn’t recommend it to new people joining, especially as you are tied in for so long most of the time.

Great place for working out😁 As the gym located just above the fulham broadway tube station gets lots of natural light✨ Open plan, airy, well equipped, clean, spacious and very conveniently layed out.The highlights of this gym is a modern members area/working spaces which is a big bonus for me.There's a good selection of classes in the gym and the studios are quite large too. Staffs have always been friendly and helpful. No question it is the best gym in Fulham/Chelsea area.

A great gym with fantastic facilities, super friendly staff, all very nice and clean. I love sauna and steam time, and chill out at the lounge having a good coffee. Excellent place for disconnect and work with your laptop. 5 stars 🌟 place.

Joining the gym was the best thing I have done for myself & my children! I enjoy a variety of classes (Pilates, yoga, Spirit etc.) and like using the spa facilities whenever I can... My children like playing in the play area and attending Dance & Arts classes with their new friends...They also have yoga, movie nights & variety of additional seasonal activities for children.. There are few members of the staff who always make my day with their smile - Chyna, Lottie, James & Timi are all amazing! I love the location above Fulham Broadway station and the natural light in this gym. I'm really excited for the refurbishment to go ahead this year!

I absolutely love David Lloyd Fulham, the facilities are great, it is never too busy and all of the staff are really friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend it more as a gym and spa! Has transformed my gym routine :)

Staff are great and all, nice club. But explain why I had been charged almost £2000 over 1 MISSED DIRECT DEBIT? Head office is scamming you and using every possible chance to siphon as much money as possible out of you.

I came in to have a tour on Wednesday with Sam and he was so knowledgeable and patient with me. He showed me all the facilities (Which are beautiful and well maintained). I didn’t feel pressured to join at all but my decision was an easy one due to how kind Sam & the staff were. Sam also made me feel comfortable as a Trans woman to join this gym. Very inclusive :) Thank you! Dani is also an amazing PT and I’m excited to have more sessions with her.

You may as well be signing away your life when you join this gym. I signed up for a year’s membership and paid in full. I did not renew as the room I wanted to use was used for a class with an additional cost at peak times. The rest of the gym was difficult to use with weights constantly missing. I was also promised that Blaze classes would start and they never did. I made this complaints and did not renew - they then came after me for 3 months payment as they said I had to give notice on a year’s membership… if want to contact them about any of this, you have to book a call with them a week in advance. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Absolutely love this club, been using it for years and the atmosphere is unmatchable. Super friendly staff who remember your names, which is something no other place seems to have. Trainers are amazing, will go above and beyond to help you and reception staff always have the best smiles on their faces!

Good fitness club with great facilities. Was on the fence about joining but club rep Sam talked a good game and delivered. Informative and no nonsense which we appreciated. Always available to chat too as there can be a lot to take in at first.

Had a really wonderful experience at this gym from the moment I entered I was greeted with such a warming welcoming by Andy at Reception. The facilities were in perfect condition especially in the lounge area whereas I caught up on some work before proceeding to my workout where Mike kindly guided me to the find the changing rooms and gym area, he also gave me some tips to help me with my workout, which was great! I finally ended my afternoon in the Leisure pool using the steam room and spa, whereas I met Alex the lifeguard and had an amazing conversation with him as I had some further questions about the gym, he reassured me of everything I needed to know in greater detail. Overall My experience was amazing and this gym really gives a family type atmosphere which I’d say is really a benefit for any existing or aspiring members.
