Fitness
first
on
Baker
Street
is
a
great
gym.
More
than
that--
given
the
location
in
prime
Marylebone
this
is
a
gym
that
is
so
good
I
have
felt
lucky
that
a
gym
as
good
as
this
exists
so
close
to
my
house.
The
staff
and
trainers
like
Jeer
are
extremely
friendly,
professional,
and
constantly
working
hard.
But
also
the
clientele
on
the
whole
is
great,
generally
quite
friendly
and
polite.
I
always
find
myself
in
a
good
mood
after
leaving
for
the
day
after
being
surrounded
by
such
a
positive
community.
Not
only
that
but
trainers
like
Nigel
helped
correct
my
form
in
a
way
that
likely
prevented
serious
injury.
Nearby
W1
gyms
tend
to
be
either
rather
busy,
heaving
with
crowds,
or
small
boutique
gyms
without
a
full
offering
of
equipment.
Fitness
First
Baker
street
has
not
only
a
great
deal
of
equipment
and
facilities
but
it
also
has
a
good
number
of
off
peak
hours
where
one
will
almost
never
need
to
wait
for
any
particular
section.
Plus
there
is
a
pool!
Building:
The
gym
is
located
in
what
seems
to
be
something
like
a
converted
basement
or
parking
garage.
There
is
a
small
upstairs
waiting
room
and
welcome
area
then
the
gym
itself
is
downstairs.
There
is
a
pool
in
the
center
of
the
gym
and
the
equipment
itself
wraps
around
the
pool.
Equipment:
At
the
far
end
of
the
gym
is
a
group
room
used
for
trainer
led
classes,
which
happen
throughout
the
day
in
a
variety
of
genres.
Then
there
is
a
section
of
machines,
like
seated
bench
machines,
seated
overhead
press
machines,
lat
pulldown
machines,
leg
curl
and
extension
machines,
dip
stations,
row
machine,
and
so
on.
Then
near
the
stairs
down
from
reception
is
a
sort
of
central
stretching
and
general
use
area
with
some
variety
exercises
like
the
heavy
ropes,
high
bars,
box
jumps,
barbell
hip
thrusts
and
so
on.
Then
a
section
of
power
racks
and
cable
machines.
Then
some
more
assorted
machines
like
a
hip
thrust
machine
and
smith
machine.
Then
finally
is
a
section
for
boxing,
and
beyond
that
a
number
of
benches
with
dumbbells,
a
bench
press,
leg
press,
calf
raise
station,
and
more.
Throughout
the
gym
is
a
large
variety
of
different
cardio
machines
like
rowing
machines,
different
bikes,
treadmills,
stair
machines,
and
on
and
on
and
on.
Pool:
There
is
a
pool
and
a
sauna,
which
is
a
very
nice
treat
in
central
Marylebone.
The
pool
seems
to
be
used
often
by
both
people
training
and
also
by
families
with
children.
Changing
rooms:
At
the
front
of
the
gym
by
the
stairs
down
there
is
a
female
changing
room
and
at
the
other
end
of
the
pool
there
is
a
male
changing
room.
There
is
no
female
only
portion
of
the
gym
beyond
this.
Both
changing
rooms
then
go
directly
into
the
pool
and
sauna
area
or
back
into
the
gym.
The
changing
rooms
are
quite
well
maintained
and
there
is
always
a
lot
of
lockers
free
although
the
men's
bathroom
is
quite
small.
You
can
borrow
padlocks
at
the
front
desk
or
much
more
preferably
bring
your
own.
If
you're
buying
a
new
lock:
the
shackle
diameter
of
the
lockers
is
a
bit
larger
than
8mm,
I
was
able
to
use
my
8mm
shackle
lock
easily
but
it
was
snug
so
I
wouldn't
recommend
anything
bigger.
