Read my review if you’re considering to join this gym, Nuffield’s generally very slow with inquiries I froze my membership for a year in 2021, sadly their system malfunctioned and they started my membership without my knowledge earlier than expected. My bank account was charged twice during this until I stopped it… long story short in January 2022 wanted to restart my membership I emailed the gym managers here both Maria/Eddie they replied to my emails once then ignored my inquiry for 2 months!! After lots of chasing by myself a sales manager named Tashan was able to fix my membership (Thank you!) which was easy work (all it took was few phone calls to Nuffield HQ) I didn’t want to lose my membership as I’ve been a member for 6 years I think Nuffield should train their managers better so they can assist their customers more effectively. This experience really disappointed me on how Nuffield manager at this gym handled my inquiry, otherwise I’d have loved to leave a 5 star review as I consider Nuffield my second home.

I don´t where i can start. My experience in the center have been unpleasant. but never worse than the gym without water. I give a example, we are in a pandemic the toilets without water, people make their necessities but they cannot clean the hands and then going to use the machines and facilities, I don´t need to finish the story. For me, the problem with this gym it the manager, you never see enough staff, the changer rooms are dirty and smelly. lockers broken, and the swimming pool smelly and unclean. The story about the water is true, I found the gym without water couple of time.

Service or quality of service is from random to non existent, no working system for ANY service issues resolutions, its a members club that no one is interested of the members opinion, to the contrary. Avoid if you can! Shame for the good location and some of the good people that work at this place

General manager was very rude and unhelpful, I’m not a member or the gym but I use to come there to train for a while , since winter 2022 , a lot of the staff members know how I look and what I do , I’m a sportsmen , and mostly I use bags for boxing and spa. Always use to pay 15 £ per session , without any problems , today I traveled all the way from Heathrow , and she refused to let me in without any explanation , telling me that I need to Become A member in very unprofessional and rude way , it ruined my whole Mood . And I had a travel back home , feeling very unhappy and depressed. I even showed her video of me working out , in your gym last week . This is very unfair , I never had any issues or problems with any one , I’m this gym and the rest of the staff are very polite and helpful . But this GM lady don’t know how to do the job professionally

Yesterday and today I have tried for the first time the Nuffield Health Club in Paddington and I had a very nice experience. Machine are various, very new and cleaned, there is loads of choice if you are a passionate bodybuilder that needs to work all the body parts. On top the staff is really friendly, Nathan and Natasha showed me around the gym and helped me understand how to use a machine in the correct way. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

SCAM - AVOID Absolutely ridiculous the way they treat their customers, especially in COVID times where relocation is frequent and often unavoidable. When I signed up they assured me that if I moved from the area I could cancel my membership, based on a bad experience with a gym previously. I have now had to move home and my closest Nuffield gym takes approx 1 hour to walk one way (so a 2 hour round trip) or 50 minutes via tube (1.6 hour round trip). Add to this that the gym doesn't offer 24/7 access and closes at 10pm, it is virtually impossible for me to use their gym at all given my working hours. Having explained my situation to them, they came back to say I can only cancel my contract if I am 5 miles or more away from any of their gyms and if not then I have to continue to pay full price until May 2022 even if I am not able to access their services. How is this acceptable? - it's robbery!! They haven't even had the decency to respond to my emails and have zero customer care despite all of the talk they gave at the beginning about their flexibility and care for their gym users. What a farce - do not sign up to this gym!! It's also not worth the money in the first place and a lot of the facilities are well-below par in comparison to their competitors as well! AVOID.

Joined this gym on a 14 day money back promo. Can't say I was impressed by the gym, £67 per month (discounted) and facilities were not very well maintained and isn't very clean in comparison to other Nuffield's. I decided to cancel my membership in the time given and have had nothing but problems. I have had to speak to the team on 4 separate occasions as they have still been charging me the membership fee, despite being told it had been cancelled. This started in October and is still going on in December. Very very poor customer service and would 100% avoid

**Read before signing up** This gym has had a fall from grace, as one of the cleanest and best value premium gyms in the area (pre-covid) to being disgustingly oversubscribed, overpriced and falling apart. At peak times the facilities are unusable with the club opting to fill the floor with sweaty classes and the pool area packed with people queuing for the steam and sauna (which is also far too cold). What’s worse is this descent seems to be linked to the change of the management team. The only staff that seem to do any work are the PTs, with management spending most of their time chatting with members (especially the tall one who, when he’s not eating, takes any opportunity to creepily flirt with any girl he sees). Cleaners are always on their phones in the changing rooms. It would be great if staff could try to fix the dire state of the club instead. Until they reduce numbers, it would be advised to avoid locking yourself into a contract.

Beautiful atmosphere, the team was really helpful. Gym and swimming pool were really clean and in good condition.

BEST DISSERVICE EVER! So they deserve one star for achieving that at least. Apart from AC that never works well in summer, the dirt everywhere, poor, and I mean terrible, customer service, disgusting and smelly changing facilities and showers that have low pressure and are filthy - I have not once seen a cleaner! Today, I was in the middle of an aerobics class when I felt dizzy and needed a quick rush of sugar. I ran out to reception to pick up a Lucozade. I explained to reception I will pay for it after class cause my money is obviously in the locker and I would like to continue with my class. He called his manager who told me: No, it’s against policy. I laughed thinking she was joking. She was not. I am confused...are they distrustful of their members to pay the £1.50 or do the distrust their reception staff, who man the barrier, to remind me to pay the £1.50. Abysmal service!! I couldn’t believe it...

If you want your stuff to get stolen, join this gym. Staff are not trained, very rude. The manager is clueless. Zero consideration, zero customer service. Machines are taking a long time to repair. Changing rooms are dirty. Cleaners are always leaving.

After the renovation the gym is overcrowded to the point when exercise becomes a safety risk. I had a lady literally trip over me while I was doing planks a few days ago. TRXs next to heavy bags?! Seriously?! If you do decide to join, I would strongly recommend that you read the fine print in the contract and perhaps re-read it a good four five times. I have had multiple issues with Nuffield Paddington 'forgetting' to freeze my and my husband's account when requested (yes, we were still being charged on a monthly basis while the accounts were supposedly frozen) and forgetting to notify of the changes to the Direct Debit amount (from 70 pounds a month to 140). The response I got is that it is in their "Terms and Conditions" that I signed five (!) years ago when I joined. Needless to say, there is practically no way to contact the management team without having to siege the reception: email addresses are not available and not shared, calls are not returned. Absolutely not the way to treat customers who have stayed loyal to the chain for five years!

I think management should look into how the opening hour is managed in this location. Staff will shut cardio machines and clean the gym floor 30 minutes before the supposedly closing time. For anyone that has late working schedule, this is a gym that's closed at 9:30pm and 6:30pm in the weekend rather than 10pm and 7pm as they promised. Be aware if opening time matters to you.

I had a great experience at Nuffield Health on Sheldon Square. The equipment is basically brand new and top of the range, loads to choose from and had everything I needed to do my workout. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

I love this place! I am both a member and freelance instructor here and have always felt such a welcoming atmosphere. The reception staff are friendly and gym staff are really helpful. The new equipment is amazing and the pool is always clean.

Poor showers, not enough cold water and there’s flies everywhere in the shower, very dirty place. The swimming pool has too much chlorine, to the point it makes your eyes hurt. Definitely not worth £89 a month. Very disappointed

Looking for a gym in west London for a while, finally found this place. Pool, sauna and steam room, cleaning staff always on spot. And finally I can find a gym with 10AM classes and affordable price. I never came at peak hour and find the gym very comfortable and quiet. Wish they can add 11AM class in future, which will be perfect.

Very frustrating. Zero communication when gym closes unexpectedly, bathrooms are dirty and constantly issues with equipment.

This place is always packed no matter what time you go. Any available space in the gym usually has someone in it. They have just added all new equipment which is good but the equipment that you want to use is always taken and if you do get hold of a bench, the weights you want to use are never there. The shower and locker facilities are horrible and often broken and in the three times I’ve tried to contact staff, I’ve never received a response. Sadly, I’m tied into a year long contract but this is the worst gym I’ve ever been a member of by far and yet for some strange reason, this is by far the most expensive gym I’ve ever been to. £80 per month is a ridiculous amount to be charging.

I love this gym... they have some amazing new equipment, fantastically skilled/friendly staff and great classes :) The facilities are great too, with a lovely swimming pool/sauna/steam room, which is perfect for a relax after a great workout.

We've tested five different gyms in this area and this is our favourite. It's not the cheapest (or the most expensive) but the equipment is good quality and new. When something breaks it gets replaced relatively quickly and the gym floor is always clean and tidy. Comms through lockdowns were handled well, our contract was a bit messy and this was handled smoothly too. The team are really friendly and create a good vibe. Massive credit to Kenneth here, who seems like a genuinely nice kind person. Definitely agree the changing rooms could do with a refit and they can smell from time to time. But equally I've been to gyms that charge twice as much and smell worse...

They are quite rude and they will continue charging the fee after the cancellation of your membership is approved. Don’t bother calling them, they won’t pick up the phone and there is not an email available to contact them.

Physiotherapy at its best!! I'm a keen cyclist and swimmer. In the last 6 years I experienced three episodes where I believed I had to go under the knife after months, in every case, of either shoulder pain or knee pain or leg/back pain. I had all sorts of massages and tried yoga and stretching and those pains never went away. I despaired. BUT in every case physiotherapists from Nuffield were able to fix my pain in a heartbeat. Max two sessions with the physios and those pains were gone and joy replaced what was silent despair. Very professional and effective all three therapists: Sarah, Mattias and Tom. I see a pattern here and it is that physiotherapy at Nuffield has worked wonders for me. I highly recommend them. Don't struggle with pain and don't despair without having tried physiotherapist at Nuffield. I'm so impressed and grateful. Cheers to all of you.

I'd just like to say and give big Thank out to Nuffield Health Gym in Paddington and to Clinton for his hospitality in demonstrating what great customer service and professionalism should look like. I was down in London on business and as a active member training at the Birmingham location wanted to experience and compare. Happy to say Paddington certainly lived up to this this unlike another I went to to where the welcome was not as great, which as in a higher tier, one of the connections centre. Keep up the good work Clinton and hopefully others will lead by your example

Great and spacious gym! Love sauna and steaming room! Equipped with a lot of boxing bags, enough equipment to train pretty much everything, maybe few machines are missing but not major. The only thing is that showers stink a bit and they have some flies there all the time. Great gym, would love to join but not for £120 pm. £80pm for that gym is fine.

The Venue is in an amazing location. Easy to reach both via public transport and with your own means of transport. The gym is very well equipped and is all on one floor. I mainly use the Swimming Pool which is decent size (20 mt and has 3 very large lanes), quite and you can train appeased most times of the day and of the week. In the Pool are you can also benefit from Steam Room & Sauna. The changing room are spacious and clean, the showers are immaculate. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend Nuffield Health Paddington

Diligently and consistently clean, friendly attemdants. Excellent outreach and easy availability to Paddington Station. Nuffield Health has a medical suite on-site and a joint coed wet sauna in addition to the pool. Observed aqua fit and was gratified to see a different focus.

Not a bad gym; a touch on the small side but looks recently renovated and all the kit seems to be brand new. I guess time will tell if it gets maintained and stays that way. The staff seem friendly enough and the classes offer a good variety of exercise regimens to suit all tastes. Not sure why all the other reviews mention broken air conditioning because the main gym area always seems a pleasant temperature to me even when I’m on a treadmill. I will however agree with the comments about the changing facilities here. It feels like being in a school locker room at times. Lockers that don’t lock, showers that have the most pathetic water pressure and little black flies everywhere in the showers. Basically I’d say this gym is definitely good value for the membership and if they modernised the changing facilities it’d be a 5* gym

Getting from bad to worse! I use mainly the pool and the Studio. I stopped using the pool because the changing/shower facilities are absolutely disgusting and smell. As for Studio, well the temperature control is terrible. It's far too warm for high intensity aerobics. Add to that AC has been broken and still not fixed one month on. It had been a month since I did a class. Apparently someone fainted yesterday. I will be asking for a refund for that month. How can you charge premium rates for this level of facilities and service is beyond a joke. AVOID AVOID AVOID.... Not surprising that there is no reply from Nuffield to my review. So today same same with dirty towels everywhere you step in the changing rooms. The shower gel dispensers are all empty. Wet floors everywhere. When I asked, they told me there is cleaning staff constantly monitoring the changing rooms. Must be invisible! The manager not only talked over me, he had the nerve to say he I checked the changing rooms less than an hour ago!! Think I will change and shower at home from now on...

I haven't been to a gym for years and was delighted at the reception I received at Nuffield Health Paddington. The staff are approachable, helpful and friendly. The space is generous, immaculately clean and it offers a great range of classes. So far I've been to yoga and pilates classes. The teachers are knowledgeable and very personable. Great atmosphere and the pool and sauna are fantastic.

Shame as I have been coming here a while, I am actively looking for another gym now, they should make it absolute clear that they have a vast Kids swimming lessen program on. Amazing I have been on Fridays, 5pm peak times and they take a lane for kids lessens, leaving the other 2 lanes with literally, 4 people to a lane and people waiting to even go in. Nothing against kids and I loved lessons but never got to go to a private members gym to do them lol. Have had ear infection after swimming now which I have never had, other swimmer has caught eye infection!. On top, noise and screaming of the instructor to the kids (at times) is a massive no no when you are having a steam/sauna. Sorry guys you cant mix the 2, get if you are looking to make an extra buck but its plane wrong..I know members who have left because of this, as am I now. The reason why I write here is that I wrote to the head office complaints and never even got a reply, being a member for some time is upsetting. Thanks

Amazing service by Adam at Paddington Nuffield. Always delivers great customer service. He is very approachable, nothing is to much for him. And the nice thing is he always acknowledges you on arrival. He is a real asset to Nuffield.
