Good gym but on the small side. 4 entry pods so never an issue of getting in and out. Changing room isn't the biggest and not enough benches/places to rest your bag but there is a lot of lockers available. Plenty of cardio machines, mainly treadmills. The weights area has a good selection of machines/free weights but spacing is tight so most days you will need to adjust your workout to what is available as it gets busy quickly due to size. Staff are friendly and helpful with somebody always available. Plenty of classes available but yet to take one. Vending machines with all the usual gym fare available by the entrance. I use this gym every day and generally enjoy it except when it's over busy.

Horrible place! First and foremost, it is simply far too oversubscribed, the place is way too busy during peak times to actually get any quality of a workout completed. It had a negative impact on my fitness goals as it is impossible to get anything done when there are dangerous numbers of people all trying to workout in a very small space. Not worth it! The app has a feature that is supposed to display how many people are present in the gym b4 you go in, it’s completely inaccurate! It can say there is less than 20 and u walk in and it’s more like 200! I complained and I got a reply agreeing it was wrong but the issue never got fixed. What’s the point in having this feature on the app if it’s consistently giving customers wrong information? Also, the locker room STINKS permanently! Never seen a cleaner anywhere in this place and clearly hygiene is lacking. Locker rooms also extremely small. Equipment is pretty average, machines all kind of facing eachother so you feel like your being watched all the time. And it’s freezing cold! Staff are a bit attitudey too. So if your looking for a ridiculously crowded, smelly hell-hole of a gym, sign up.

Keep on repeating they should make people use towels or tissues to clean the machines after using them. Every single time I'm using a machine is full of sweat and disgusting. Their excuses are really poor and something as easy as provide some blue roll or similar for 1 month and then make towels mandatory seems not to be a solution for them. The only reason to go is because it's the closest to my job. But I would change inmediately if something better gets open next to it (even paying double) It's worth to enforce being clean! Sent them 2 emails about this matter and those were ignored or replied carelessly. I'm editing to respond your answer. This is your gym few days after my complaint. There was like 5 people working around the machines and nobody did a thing. Tower enforcement or even encouragement is purely a lie. Do I need more proofs or is that disgusting enough? That's not a one-off time. I don't want to clean sweat from other people with my towel. How much will cost you to provide some blue roll and how much will that be if we split the cost between the members? Happy to pay double that!!

I loved the flexibility of this gym and the app. Unfortunately, I cancelled my membership in February due to the lack of sanitation. There are signs around the gym which advise members to wipe their equipment after use and to bring a towel. Unfortunately, when I was a member disinfectant was not supplied at this facility for the public to use. You have to bring your own wipes. On a number of occasions, I have seen gym goers use their sweaty towels to wipe down machines. Im not sure when cleaning happens as I actually never saw it taking place. The Yoga mats and foam rollers are also visably soiled. If management can sort this issue out I would gladly restart my membership. For 24 hour access you really can't go wrong and the classes are excellent.

Very conveniently placed in the middle of Victoria, close to the tube station and most offices. Usual difficulty in finding any free equipment or machines after 4:00pm, usually this way until after 7:00pm. Another branch was under refurbishment at the time which could explain the increased capacity. Ended up stopping my membership to find a quieter gym with greater choice.

This gym is definitely overpriced for what you get. Other than Friday it is always packed, you cannot control the temperature in the showers which in fact are extremely hot especially if you have just worked out. One of the female toilets never flushes and 4 months now they still havent fixed it. Space wise is very limited but because it is the cheapest gym in the area at £36 per month they get away with it.

For 2 months there have been only 4 working showers out of 7. They have quirky signs badly taped on saying how th be back soon and similar. There are plenty of locker's, but very little bench space to change in It's an incredibly hot gym being in the basement, this is even so when it's around 1 or 2 degrees outside. It's it too busy, if it was busy, the gym and shower would be unbearable. I've quit after two months, the price is ok for zone 1, but there is better out there. Make your choice

Best gym is the one most convenient for you to go to. Quite basic in what it has to offer, nothing fancy. No you don't have a track to push your sledge. But hey ho, it gets the job sone. That said, all the plates and equipments are tired and old, not sure why they are not upgraded already, even my home gym got renovated recently!

I have joined PureGym a couple of months ago and the Victoria site is probably the one which has the worst facilities. It gets very hot in summer, but when it rains, there are buckets collecting water on the gym floor as there are leaks coming from the ceiling. Although it is responsibility of each of us to tidy up weights etc.. during the morning weights are mis matched and spread all over the gym. It’s like a treasure hunt! Staff could be more attentive on this. Given that this is one of the most expensive site for pure gym.. I don’t think It is good enough. Otherwise.. all other sites I visited are so much better

The heating insulation is very poor around the entrance area of the gym. All of the rowing machines are clustered around the entrance area of the gym, and it is impossible to use any of them without freezing or catching a cold during winter times. Please consider either having better insulation around the front area, or at least moving a few of the rowing machines to another area of the gym, so they can be used.

👍👍 I had such a great experience at UP Mayfair! My husband trained with them a year ago and the results were incredible. When I struggled with my weight after lockdown, I decided a big change was needed. Best decision I ever made - wish I had done it sooner. The training program is hard but I genuinely...
