Small, crowded and there are not enough machines… there are more stairs in this gym than there is workout space… Preference is given to people on PT sessions, so if you want to get your go and do your thing, then likely you won’t find room to stand. Recommend anywhere else. [Visited the gym as Marylebone Hotel guest and heard great things about The Third Space, but definitely disappointed..]

I joined the Third Space, Marylebone in late January 2023.From the onset, no clear information was provided on important matters - class booking system. For almost a week I wasn't able to book any class as every time I tried, the classes were fully booked already. I felt that it was all waste of time and money, for benefit of a doubt I gave it a chance. One of the receptionists tried to be helpful, however the gym manager told me "I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had with getting on classes. They definitely are popular and people set their alarms to ensure they remember to book. The dedication of people to always get their spot on the popular classes always inspired me." There is no clear sign for members not to bring their children to the sauna ( even 5 year old ), children under 12 left in the swimming pool unaccompanied, new members take selfies and videos in the female changing room. The management has been informed, in contrary they are prepared to go that far with false allegations just in order to keep the membership of the offenders. The instructors are genuinely nice, equipment generally good. Small and crowded space. This gym is only interested in your money. Management - Incompetent, unprofessional, ripoff gym under the logo of Premium service

Been coming here for a number of years and remains a core favourite place to workout, especially following a refurbishment for 2022. Split across three levels there’s lots of new equipment, and quite well stocked for a compact gym of this size. Gym overall has a premium feel and is kept exceptionally and consistently clean by a marvellous house keeping team. The steam room is very hot and the pool a hidden gem of Marylebone.

I really want to love this gym, but it is far too small for the number of people who use it. At peak times, doing a workout is a nightmare due to the lack of equipment (only 2 squat racks, for example). At the very high premium you pay for membership, I would strongly advise against it, unless you use their other London clubs, which are far superior.

In contrast to other Third space gyms like soho and canary wharf which are excellent, sleek and well proportioned gyms, i felt Marylebone needed a bit of refresh. It felt a bit tired with chipped tiles in the shower (although filled in with grout) and traditional lock based lockers in contrast to other gyms with pins (lucky i had a lock in bag from my old gym). The gym had all the usual bits of equipment you'd expect to see but overall the layout didn't seem to flow (with gym equipment technically in the reception area) and it didn't have the same third space up market feel I have come to expect. A perfectly adequate gym, but not in line with it's other branches.

My partner and I are long-time members of Third Space and we have the membership that allows us to visit any branch. Though our home club is Soho, we have since moved to Marylebone and have been visiting that club almost exclusively over the past six months. We would like to express our utter disappointment at the lack of communication surrounding the Marylebone club's recent issues and closures. We are receiving NO communication at all about any issues or closures at that club, left to find out from the concierge there only when already having planned our gym visit. As members who can visit ANY club, we expect to receive communication that would affect our ability to go to ANY of the clubs. That is literally the point of purchasing the all-club membership. We've brought this up with the concierge at Marylebone a few times, asking if we can be added to the communication about the gym, but they've told us that "the policy is set from the main office" and apparently members who go to Marylebone but whose home club is not Marylebone cannot receive any communication about closures at the Marylebone branch. That is ridiculous. We understand that issues happen and they need to be fixed, what's unacceptable is the complete lack of communication and disregard of people's time. Really disappointing and has us considering other gyms in the area.

I love Third Space, but this Marylebone branch feels stuck in 2001 - it’s in the details, like the faucets in the women’s changing rooms being manual, small and very uncomfortable to use, the lockers that are not automatic (you must buy a lock!), the room for group clases is small and uninviting, and the flor plan has again aged very badly - think low ceilings and cramped. I was also surprised that the women’s bathroom had urinals, which felt like an old remodel gone bad?? I urge the administration to invest in this branch, update the furniture and colors and bring this gym to 2021 like the branch in Islington! Sometimes a rapid expansion leaves other locations forgotten, this has happened at Marylebone

Been a member almost two years. I hesitated for a while, as the membership monthly is as large a slice of my salary as I've ever spent on fitness. It was one of the best decisions I ever made - great instructors, most of whom are kind and responsive. The changing rooms are very clean , particularly on the weekdays. I always feel better having visited and it makes me look forward to trying new classes and developing my fitness as I get older.

Clean, friendly people, good quality equipment. But the gym has a very small footprint and so it's nearly always packed (the free weights section in particular). Expect to wait for a rack or bench. I don't think the price is justifiable for the small size of the gym.

Have been a member for half a year, wouldn’t recommend this club. 1. The number of equipment is very limited. Only 2 squat rack, which are always occupied if you come after 5pm. 2. There are always children in the swimming pool and changing room making noises. 3. Some members lock the lockers overnight, and the management team didn’t do anything about it. Limited numbers of lockers available even when the gym is quiet. 4. The gym is becoming more and more crowded over the past few months. For some class at 4pm working day, it’s quite usual to be booked out.

I joined the Third Space when it opened in Soho over 20 years ago and have always been a big fan. Having been living abroad for the last 12 years I have missed it and my trainers as well as the healthcare practitioners. The Third Space has top trainers and I always had exceedingly good experiences with them. Back in London twelve years later, the first thing I did was re-join the Third Space. The Soho club has changed a lot but the staff is as friendly as it was in the beginning. I use the Marylebone club more due to convenience and it feels like an intimate, more exclusive gym and I feel more at home there. I have a new trainer who is great, extremely knowledgable and motivational. The gym has top-of-the-line equipment and now with the refurbished changing rooms; people are super friendly and it feels like my home away from home. It has been great being back.

New member and so far it’s been great. Lovely club with current upgrades going on and love the classes. Due to upgrades have had access to other clubs as well which is great. Few teething issues with communication however these were sorted very quickly

I was considering joining this gym, so I visit it first, but it's too small and not enough machine weight exercise, only free weights for the price of £175 a month, it's better to buy the weights and workout at home.

I love this gym, they always know my name and make me feel looked after and welcome. This is not a faceless mega gym but a small friendly place to get the best training in small classes or with fantastic trainers.

Have been with Third Space for about 6 months now. Still absolutely love the gym, the facilities and the classes. Great customer service too! Recently joined Third Space in Marylebone but have attended Soho too. Love both studios, the classes and the pool area. Staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help. Have already recommended the gym to 2 friends. Absolutely brilliant!

Great selection of classes, fantastic trainers, and not to mention a lovely reception team! They are always very friendly and on a few occasions where the classes had last minute changes, they made the effort to call me so that I would be informed before I arrived, really appreciated. Nice residential gym, recently upgraded a lot of equipment and facilities so much better than before. Please consider adding more barre classes by Steph!

Luxury cozy small fitness club with great facillities and classes, a really nice place to relax after work or during the weekends. Really enjoying it! I really enjoy the classes and swimming pool, it never is too crowded for me and I can find a space to relax. Particulary amazing classes are with Sam (lift class) and Richard (yoga)! Thank you to the Marylebone Third Space staff and trainers for a great space and time at the gym.

Fantastic gym! I'm so happy with my decision to join! Best equipment, top trainers, friendly staff and a great workout schedule. I also value the option to visit other Third Space locations all over London.

Pros: Excellent instructors Nice pool Cons: Rude staff - specifically Maria- very condescending and unhelpful Size- it’s a hotel gym, it’s far too small to be considered a full gym. It’s often cramped not because of members but because the teachers, trainers and members all have to share the main fitness area. During most hours it’s difficult to get a workout in without being in the way. The equipment - it’s not in the best shape- the dumbbells often felt loose and the kettlebells are stacked in a way where they may topple over you if you jostle the rack in the wrong way or if someone didn’t put them back properly. Price point- at 200+ GBP I can’t recommend this gym alone. It really should be 100 GBP maybe a little higher. Overall the gym was okay but I couldn’t recommend it to anyone I cared about. I ended my membership recently and have no regrets.

Gym is small and cozy. Mostly local people. People are nice and coaches excellent. Some of them will make you wake up early not to miss their classes :) recommended!

The equipment here is fantastic, the classes are really great with instructors who are friendly and put effort into what they do. The club is exceptionally clean and it is a pleasure working out there. The club itself is split over a few levels and although it is small and the gym can be busy before and after work, I have not found it to be an issue. I have tried some other gyms in the area and this one is by far and away the best. I love coming here as part of my daily routine, in fact often more than once a day!

We had a blast working out at Third Space while visiting London! The manager, Sebastian, couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful, and the facility is easy to navigate and full of great equipment. The newly renovated women's locker rooms are gorgeous with lots of products! We loved our workout experience and will definitely return soon.

Staff are incredibly friendly and this gym has everything and beyond that you'd need for your well-being, but it looks very cramped and small compared to other locations. Another minus is that the steam room is mixed-gender, might be nice to do it like the other branches, separated. Otherwise the best gym in town!

Top place to train in London! It can be pricey, but it’s exactly what I needed to not skip any class hahaha classes are superb with some of the best coaches you can get. They are supportive, friendly and always keeping an eye on you and making sure that you are doing the right movements to avoid any injury. Classes have the right amount of people which allows coaches to give you that personalise experience that you can hardly get in low-cost gyms. Overall I’m happy :). I would encourage the Marylebone gym to organise more social/bonding events among members to improve the sense of community :)

The defining characteristic of Third Space company-wide is the quality of their personal training staff. From the most experienced to the least, all are steeped in the latest insights and techniques derived from top athletes and leading fitness and nutrition experts. Their approach to their clients is completely individualised and meticulously data-driven. Feedback from the trainers is direct and clear and armed with the data, for better or worse, empirically true. It’s a highly motivating but still low key environment. As for the rest, the staff is unusually friendly and helpful. I wish the place were a bit cleaner, specifically the stairwells, the low ceilings and the cockamamie layout of the floors needs a major rethink; and finally there’s no getting around the fact it’s a very small club and definitely feels like the poor cousin to the fully tricked out Third Space Soho. That said, for those people looking for a quieter somewhat more serious training, Marylebone might be the ticket.

Really appreciate the "boutique" feeling of Third Space Marylebone. Facilities are great and the stuff is always willing to help. There is always enough space to train hard thanks to the top level equipment. Although I'm usually following my own program, each time I needed a blast of HIIT Kettlebells or Bodyweight the classes offered were very effective. The Gym also maintained good level of communication with members throughout the pandemic and provided some great home workouts through the app. Highly recommend

I looked at many gyms before I joined Third Space, and it was definitely the right decision! I used to be into fitness but had let it slide and was very intimidated to get back into it. TS is so welcoming and the classes are structured so you can work hard no matter your level. I love the range of classes which are actually fun (and having a multi-gym pass is brilliant for trying lots of new ones!) Instructors are fantastic and the facilities to die for. Even in my fitter youth I always thought of the gym as a necessary evil; now I actually look forward to going. Best gym I’ve ever been a member of, by leaps, squats and bounds. :-D

Just joined Third Space in Marylebone. So far so good. From the onboarding by Daniel and personal welcome from Alex, the gym here is World class. The facilities are great and the changing rooms and showers are amazing. Such attention to detail from cowshed products to how clean and tidy everything is. All exercise machines are too and team there is so friendly. Will start going regularly now to get fit for the summer and beyond. Great steam and sauna rooms too.

Everything you could hope for in a gym , helpful and accommodating staff more like family than an artificial environment. Seven months of membership - and this space is my real haven. Great pool, such a good range of classes & instructors allowing for an interesting personal mix each week. And it’s simply a very nice space to be a part of. The front desk team are always so bright & encouraging - and the changing rooms are an oasis of their very own. One can be oneself.

Attended to have a tour and inquire about membership. Staff were friendly. However, the gym is under refurbishment, therefore temporary changing rooms and sauna out of service, but still charging £180 a month. No room for negotiation. Swimming pool area is mediocre, free weights area small - facilities are limited. However, the gym looks lux from the outside, set in a lovely cul-de-sac off the Marylebone high street. Would’ve given 3* if it offered value for money.

I've been a member of Third Space for four years and Marylebone is my absolute favourite club in the estate. I'd avoided it before it was renovated because I'd heard it was tiny, dark, and old. But, wow, the new layout, management, and staff that have all landed over the past year are amazing. And, the members I see regularly on the club floor and in group fitness classes have created a welcoming community; everyone's there to work hard, have fun and, most importantly, not take themselves too seriously (it's not like some other clubs where there's lots of pumping and strutting). If I could live there and give up working, it'd become my First Space. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Originally a member at the Mayfair third space gym and wanted to try this one for a change of scenery. Very friendly staff and PT's and fantastic facilities. Having tried other gyms in London, this one is by far the best.

I've been a member since October this year, and safe to say, it's been the best decision to become a Third Space member. The facilities and the quality of the equipment is unmatched, there's a wide variety of great classes with great trainers, and access to a pool and a sauna at all locations is just the cherry on top. I would highly recommend investing in a membership.

I joined in September & cannot recommend it enough! Each of the instructors deliver classes to such a high standard. Sara (& the team at the front) are always so welcoming and helpful. I’m officially addicted and hope it continues. Worth every penny. Thank you Third Space (& the teams in every location)

Love this gym, receptionist staff are always lovely and make me feel welcome. Especially the girls! I only had one bad experience with a PT on the gym floor… she was very rude and interrupted me half way through a work out even when there was 15 minutes left and didn’t even apologise. Apart from that I really enjoy it here :) x

  • 1/5 Valerie E. 1 year ago on Google
I signed up for this gym while it was undergoing refurbishment and was ensured that the weight area would be expanded. There are 7 machines, 2 squat racks, and 2 benches. This is nothing in comparison to other locations, but they’ve now raised prices to the same price as other locations when this doesn’t have most of the amenities of the other locations. There is no smoothie bar, the gym is so crowded that I’ve had to wait 10 minutes for a hairdryer and was late to work because of it, and they refuse to turn on A/C when multiple of us have raised these concerns over five times. We hardly ever get response and when we do, it’s severely delayed. To now charge members the same price as other locations when there’s limited equipment and massive overcrowding (all when we were promised the refurbishment would make it equivalent to other locations) is an atrocity.

  • 5/5 Rby G. 1 year ago on Google
Costs a pretty penny, but it's the attention to detail in the service and facility offerings that make it a worthy splurge. Staff responds quickly to needs and changing rooms have everything you need to look presentable. And most importantly, the pool is not too crowded when I try to go. Not sure if every gym in London has such a young crowd, but 90% of people working out here are in great shape (and possibly model on the side??). This can be intimidating if you feel you're more on the ordinary side of things, but everyone has been very courteous and respectful of personal space thus far.

  • 5/5 Ana H. 1 year ago on Google
I’ve been a member for over a year and Marylebone is one of my favourite clubs! It’s compact and feels intimate. The pool, steam room and changing rooms are the best, beautiful and well maintained. Only issue is the classes fill up really quickly as it’s a smaller club, so hopefully they add more.

I have been a member of Third Space Marylebone for the last 8 years and frankly I could not be happier with this place. For amateur athletes looking for a place to train seriously with like-minded people, it is a particularly good option. The staff and the training professionals are really friendly and fun to be around, and the gym, whilst not vast, has everything you could possibly want. If you are looking for a largely recreational experience, then this may not be for you, but if you are looking to get fit or keep fit, and be amongst friends, then I think you will quickly find yourself at home here. Highly recommended!

Third space in Marylebone is my favourite - unique combination of wellness (steam, sauna and pool), classes and gym floor. As last one is small however team always finds a solution to substitute and elevate training by lift classes, etc. Additionally I would like to highlight wellness part - gives a feeling of top luxury hotel more then a gym. Pool is always in perfect shape and never too busy. Staff is great - especially ladies to support house keeping in changing rooms, so friendly, makes you feel like at home.

Fantastic gym, really well looked after with very clean and high quality facilities. Especially the front desk with Kelsi, Maria, Shannon, Eleonor and Hamish is extremely helpful and always very friendly and welcoming. I love coming here to workout in either my favourite workout class Sweat X or just training by myself and I’m already looking forward to my next visit at Third Space Marylebone.
