A lovely pebbly beach, fairly quiet and dog friendly. There is parking on the roadside and carparks nearby. A short walk up the beach and you can find a cafe and even further leads you up to Southsea peer and a but more bustle, with a big park, model village and arcades. We had a lovely walk on the beach sifting through pebbles to find tiny shells, kept the kids busy for ages. People are very friendly here too.

If you want to bare all, this is the beach, to strip off and go nakie, very peaceful and quiet, with just the hum of motor boats in the distance, parking a stone throws away, a van selling hot drinks and foccasia breakfast bread as you step on the beach further up, a Co Op store near by if you want to buy a pack lunch for the beach, very invigorating to swim nakie and achieve an all over tan in a peaceful setting, remember we were born naked, enjoy the freedom with out being judged

Beautiful beach in Portsmouth, but but the beach is a short distance from the station, and there are not many shops nearby, the beach hurts your foot so plan to bring back slippers

One of the best relaxing beaches that I've been to. In awe whilst watching the beautiful sunset and blue sky change colour. It was quiet and clean. Can't wait to visit again!

We came here in a late afternoon in early September. It is quite and the view is good. There are plenty parking along the street. If you visit Portsmouth, the beach is worth seeing.

I like it just because there are many shells I could find. On the other hand, it takes us ages to drive there. I would still recommend that beach: 4/5 stars

For those seeking a more laid-back experience, the beach offered ample space for sunbathing and relaxation. Lounging on a comfortable beach chair, I soaked up the sun's warm rays while sipping on a refreshing tropical drink. The gentle sea breeze carried the scent of salt and sunscreen, completing the sensory experience. With the beach stretching for miles, there was always a secluded spot to unwind and revel in the solitude. Furthermore, the beach amenities were top-notch. Clean and well-maintained restrooms and showers were conveniently located nearby, ensuring comfort and hygiene for all visitors. Beachside cafes and food stalls catered to every craving, offering a delightful array of local delicacies and international cuisine. I particularly enjoyed indulging in freshly grilled seafood, paired with a breathtaking sunset view.

I love this place. There is no words to describe the simplicity of this place. A very quiet area where you can swim or playing around in your own way. The wave of the ocean & sound of it will gonna melt your heart for sure. Just make a space in a sunny day, feel the sun, hear the sound of wave & enjoy πŸ’™

Lovely beach away from the main tourist area of southsea. Parking available all along the esplanade Road, but a bit pricy as is all portsmouth parking. Dog free and dog friendly areas which are marked on the boards. Shingle beach as is all this coastline. Lovely marine plants bloom during spring. Toilets available opposite the coffeecup coffee outlet and by the swimming pool. Toilets always kept very clean. There can be occasional issues with sewage outflow from nearby Emsworth Harbour from Southern Water! Portsmouth City Council do post warnings when there are issues. We are there for the European Kite surfing championships.

Lots of space. Easy parking on main road (where there are reasonable loos). Mostly shingle with some sandy bits when tide is out.

This is an amazing pebbly and clean beach. Spacious and not overcrowded. There is a footpath alongside it and you can bring dogs (though in certain parts). There is a cafe on the beach. The seawater looks clean and on a sunny day people are swimming in it. Yesterday it was pretty warm.
