Nice beach, pebbles everywhere so not for a sandy beach day but the sea had very little pebbles so was easy to walk on and sea was clear enough and was warm after the sun had been on it for a while. Wonderfully easy to get to from London travelled on the train down and the station was a 2 minute walk away from the beach. Only one food place nearby and shut way before dinner timings. Toilets are good for a beach each one separate. Had a really good day out here.

Lovely beach with free accessible toilets. Very close to the main train line station and easily accessible in general. The beach is very friendly and clean. Close to the seaside restaurants with seafood 🦞. Highly recommended and yes, don’t miss the sunsets by the beach.

Massive park, feels like you're in the countryside you can find a spot where you're nice and isolated from other people where it's quiet. It's great to see the cyclist doing their thing and seeing the deer and all the other wildlife.

Arguably the best kept and quietest part of this coastline. To my surprise there is a nice amount of sand on this beach and even on the busiest days you can find a space to sit. Be aware that although parking used to be free after 6pm, that has now changed to free parking after 9pm for a lot of this stretch.

Beach was very good with public toilets. We visited in September 2020, the beach was good, a bit stony but there was sand. In the morning the tide was in, but by the evening it the sea was miles away. They have an open shallow salt water pool thing; once the tide was gone there was a pool area. Everyone was socially distanced and the public toilets were quite clean and maintained. If you get there early there is parking but midday is luck. Overall, very good.

This is honestly such a lovely beach and on a summers day you can forget that you are in England. It’s got a blue flag so it’s lovely to swim in and it’s catered for family’s with kids. It’s part of the Thames Estuary which is where the River Thames meets the waters of the North Sea so I’m guessing it’s a mix of sea and river water but you must still be careful as like any water there are tides etc.

Last minute decision and what a great choice. Easy access from London. Great place for the kids and they have a new play area right on the beach for the kids. Absolutely awesome!!

I appreciate the opportunity to visit this beach, it certainly did not meet my expectations and is not a place I would eagerly recommend to others seeking a truly enjoyable seaside experience.

The beach is full of stones and shells, there are shells in the water and you can choose with a few cuts, from 1:00 p.m. the water receded and it's like a swamp full of mud and shells. I don't recommend it at all.

A calm and quiet beach, suitable for relaxing with friends and family. The water is not much suitable for dipping, except may be a couple of places. Try to visit during the tide time as you won't be able to find the sea during the ebb.

Beautiful Pebble beach with bits of sand here and there, clean toilets, nice cafes to quench your thirst.. Mind the tides as wate recedes quite a bit during low tide.

Nearest beach to us from East London. Took approx 1hr and 15mins drive. As you can see from the pics, this time of year its very low tide. So no sea for miles! The beach is mostly pebbled and other than once place that sold ice cream and chips and sandwiches there isn't anywhere to eat nearby.
