East Wittering Beach

Beach

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The beach is nice and you can walk over to West Wittering where the beach is exceptional. However, East Wittering has the better vibe. It has a good collection of local shops, an awesome surf shop, a couple of good fish and chip shops, and some great cafes, restaurants and bars. People often mention beach, Wittering, tide,

Spent my childhood growing up on this beach, you really cannot beat it, great for surfing, wind surfing, kite boarding, it has a pub, an ice cream shack and also fresh fish shop what more can you possibly want

Love it here. Visit anytime we can. When tide is out it’s a beautiful walk along the beach to west witterings or even if the tide is in the walk along the top is just as good. Views of Portsmouth and Isle of white can be seen from the beach

Lovely large pebble and sand beach with very little shingle. Quieter and cleaner than its West Wittering neighbour. We had a lovely day, however there was a lack of facilities like toilets near the beach.

Great relatively quiet pebble beach. Sandy when the tide goes out. Good for relaxing as it does not get as busy some of the other local beaches.

Steep pebbly beach. Lovely views across the Solent. Good path along the coast whichever way you want to go. Not great parking so we prefer to go off season and blow the cobwebs out.

Nice quiet family beach. Lots of shingles and hard for elderly to access water. Despite dogs being banned in summer no one seems to know. I was bitten by a dog that was off the leash and just casually walked up to me and bit my knee, luckily not hard enough to draw blood.

Put in Marine Drive, East Wittering for parking. Β£5.60 for whole day. Parking charges finish at 6pm. Lovely town with nice eating places. Co op and tesco also available for sandwiches. Charity shops and various clothes and surfing shops.

Lovely beach to go for a stroll. It is pebbly so I probably wouldn’t use for sunbathing but great for dog walks and watching the sunset. Incredible views when the tide is out. Good place to set off for paddle boarding as car park just behind!

Shingle beach - nice quiet beach, but I would recommend West Wittering Beach over this one esp if you are in the area.

It is a pebble beach, and can go into water. I enjoyed a lot. There is no toilets around, however there are pubs and local shops nearby which you can use. Parking available nearby area in streets at free of cost.

I didn't like the beach. Beach have so much stony ground.

East Wittering beach is mostly pebble but when the tide is out, there's lots of sand. Waterworks, kitesurfing wonderful to watch on a blustery day, paddleboarding, surfing, windsurfing etc. Recommend paddle shoes to avoid the weaver fish. The sunsets on the Manhood Penisula are stunning and I still pinch myself that I live here. πŸ’•. Shops and eateries close by.

Nice pebble beach with long beach. Gentle sea although not very warm.

Nice beach. Not too busy. It is pebbly, however when the tide is out, there is sand. Nice ice cream shop on the front. Lots of cafes & restaurants just off the front.

We had great fun finding sea shells on the beach and just enjoying the peace and tranquil sun popping out.

One of my favourite places to go when I’m feeling down, especially at sunset it’s beautiful! The waves are perfect sizes for walking in resulting in a relaxing effect. It’s also very lovely community-wise, surfers, people walking their dogs in the sea, it’s just a very comforting vibe.
