Lovely sandy beach, easy access from Hovertravel, just 5 mins walk. Bars, pub and cafe on the way. Dogs not allowed since May to end of September

Beautiful beach. Full of sand and so many shells. My children really enjoyed playing in the sand and collecting shells. Be careful of the tide though, as it comes in quick. We were a little stranded and my partner had to carry us all through the water 🀣 definitely making memories here. Definitely the best beach I have ever been to and I am a big beach lover.

The kids loved the place, it was nice & they had lots of activities. They did not want to go home & the activities were not expensive, tokens relatively cheap as well. It was really nice

Stunning sandy beach. Spent a blinder of an afternoon here yesterday with family, had an ice cream too and the children just had a blast!

Love the beach. Came to visit after staying in Sandown. Nice area and definitely will stay here next time I visit.

A great beach, especially if you have a dog. We took the hovercraft over from Portsmouth as a treat for the kids. Spent a few hours on the seafront and had lunch by the tower. Dogs can go on the beach once you pass the tower. Our dog loved it! Running around, playing with the other dogs there and trying to drink sea water. The kids enjoyed finding loads of shells. Some great ice cream parlours too. Shame the boating lake was closed due to covid.

Classic beach with vibrant seafront. Great for kids as very shallow, though near the ferry it goes out miles. Best to head a little further east.

Awesome Beach πŸ–οΈ It's a soft sand beach situated on the Isle of Wight If one goes by Hovercraft which is the fastest mode of travel to Isle of Wight from South Sea you will reach there in 10 minutes Lot of fun activities on beach is available If you are lucky enough you will get to see a pair of Swan 🦒 as well.

Good beach but not as beautiful as other. Good for family with children. Plenty of food and others stores near by at walking distance. Lots of parking options Train station close by Bus stop close by Ryde Pier at walking distance. Other amusement like Bowling 🎳 and funfair is also close by in case weather turns to otherwise. Restaurants are also close by.

The beach was ok , cold wind was blowing so needed a jacket to keep warm. Cant compare with the beach in Mombasa.

Though I didn't venture onto it this visit I have many times in the past. Just keep eye on the incoming tide. Plenty to do along the esplanade which once the upgrade of pier & roads finished will be much enhanced

Really love walking along Ryde seafront. We had two dogs so didn't go on the beach this time but was still lovely. You do share the walkway with cyclists which can be slightly hazardous and some don't like to give you warning there behind you, would be better if the lanes for walking / cycling were seperate.

The water is so clear here. This is one of few beaches that are dog friendly all year round. Not much up that end. The dog had fun in his section of the beach. It was his holiday as well.

Amazing when the tide is out, but be careful, don’t get stuck on a sand bank when it comes back in. This beach is sandy and well looked after but it can get very busy in holiday periods. Toilets, bar, food and amusements very close to the beach, lots of parking from Ryde all the way to Appley.

Lovely to just sit and look across to the mainland. Like to sit in the car and read a book whilst gazing across the water. Beautiful.

Ryde Beach is one of my recently discovered favourite places.

Good but missing services like showers to don't go back to the hotel full of sand and more restaurants and nightlife in general. But I find terribly annoying the boats coming so close to the shore because u end up swimming in dirty water, u can see the oil and also a lot of sea weeds that the boats move and bring to the shore. It's extremely annoying to swim and feel the water is dirty.

Loved Ryde Beach. Large sandy beach with wind breaks, deck chairs available to hire Lots of food and drink places Public Toilets need refurbishment but they are fully functional and better then most public toilets

Nice sandy beach. The town is nice with some fun activities to do. We did the bowling and it was fun. It was less crowded at the beach. There is a small pond nearby with many ducks.

Best time we spent with kids. Clean, clear water and no tide beach with lots of kids activities and restaurants.

Ryde has a long beach which is covered with fine sand. The sea is not very deep here, so not amazing for swimming in as you only get about waste deep. However this is good for children. The sand is very clean, and is good for digging, or making sandcastles in. If you don’t want to lounge on the beach there are good walkers in either direction and places to eat all along the beach.

Went during low tide on a clear evening. A 10 minutes stroll along this stretch of sky mirror was all that was needed to lift off the weight of a 10 hour work day πŸ‘

Beautiful sandy beach with lots of cafes nearby. Amazing in the evening once the sun starts going down...

Very enjoyable. Good sand. Seems to be new sand, imported from Barbados. Nice views of Portsmouth which I guess is its letdown but it can’t be helped. Handy for hovercraft-spotting too
