Had the best time on holiday here with my family and can't recommend it enough. We were going to use it as a base and go and explore the island but there is so much to do on site that we didn't end up leaving the site very much. The team in the pool are great and we did lots of activities with them so thank you to all of them for being great. The entertainment is amazing, we've never known a friendlier team! Big love to Jess who goes out of her way to make things great AND is an amazing entertainer. Clearly a very happy team with good management, well done

Absolutely beautiful caravan ! Extremely clean and literally cannot fault anything . Site itself was amazing , great food at the restaurant, both pools were clean and warm ! Entertainment was good too . Cannot Wait to go back . Some lovely little touches for my children when they arrived too , along with milk and wine in fridge ready for us . Best weekend ! Just got back this evening from an absolutely fantastic relaxing holiday at Cooper's Beach! The staff all so friendly and work hard, easy check in as straight to van. Clean van and very spacious. The food in the entertainment area was lovely, good breakfast, really nice dinners and rustic pizzas! We have come home very relaxed, only left a day early as of the weather.

Stayed in a caravan on the site and it was OK, too many trades people staying in caravans whilst they temporarily worked in the area for my liking. Few people kept to the on-site speed limit and the humps did not slow them down either. The site owners do not seem to want to try and enforce the speed limit either, so please be careful if you have children running around. The a joining beach is far more mud than sand, so no real chance in sitting on it. On-site shop is OK and the club house serves good meals at a reasonable cost. I would not buy a caravan on the site as it is too noisy, but for an occasional weekend or even a week away it is just about worth it, but only just.

Mud mud mud, take wellies if the weather has been wet as it turns into a mud bath in places. Our caravan was very poorly equipped, but I am sure if you let reception, I know I would try and help out. The beds are very comfortable. The site is well thought out. It was clean and well maintained . Lovely sunsets. The entertainment early session was a little hit and miss. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Great site to take small children.

Had a lovely weekend break away here. Used the restaurant, pool, sports court and beach, all of which was pleasent. Smallish in terms of park size, but had what we needed, and was not too busy during our visit. Caravan was perfect for what we needed, including being dog friendly. We initially had an issue with hot water, which was quickly fixed by the on site maintenance team. Just a shame we had to wait until 9am as there doesn't appear to be a out of hours team to help with this kind of thing. One area they should consider reviewing is the need for a one way system around the park. This resulted in longer drives to get where we needed especially as we had a disabled person with us, so walking from one end of the park to the other would be too challenging. The roads look wide enough, I would suggest letting drivers use common sense and giving way in the tighter sections. Overall, would recommend for a small break away.

Spent a week here May 2022, the park is big with lots of caravans a mix of private and rentals set close to a peaceful beach, that at low tide turns into a haven for wild birds, and a high tide it looks like a regular beach. There is a sandy part for swimming further up the beach from the clubhouse. The Parkdean clubhouse is too small for the size of the park, the amusements are also too small, the swimming pool is just for kids and gets booked up weeks in advance of your stay. Overall it's a nice park situated in East Mersea Island, with West Mersea island a 10 minute drive away, overall the park and Island are worth a visit or short break.

Really lovely and peaceful place, very nice van we stayed in too and the view from the bar/restaurant was something else.. staff were lovely, especially the guy who runs the arcade (Frank?) who deserves real credit for the way he deals with the kids and treated everyone, top top guy! Will definitely visit again with the family

We visited Coopers beach recently, from the word go we had the best time. We arrived at our static caravan that we had rented. We found it to be very clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need, it even smelt nice! We were in a great location to get on the beach and our view was amazing. We ate in the clubhouse, we found to food to be good and well priced. We enjoyed the entertainment and also the swimming pool, the kids loved the pool. All the staff that we came into contact with were polite and helpful. We will 100% be back, thank you Coopers Beach for a fantastic stay.

We upgraded to a 4 bedroom lodge. Which is lovely and spacious. A couple of things need sorting prior to next customer coming; Oven needs a thorough clean. I'm not a house proud person but, how did housekeeping miss this! Also basics, dustpan & brush needed to pick up bits on floor (there is a long handled broom). Perhaps too, mop and bucket. Understaffed in restaurant, couldn't cook adult menu pizza on our first day. Not good when you have 3 children with ASD. Not big things but things that matter. Kids loved hot tub and swimming pool small but okay for us. Staff amazing. 3rd August: just seen reply from Parkdean! Someone just pressed a button without reading what I wrote. A better response is needed than a standard one like that.

Great location for sea views and walks. Staff were friendly and our caravan was clean and comfy. Swimming was great for the kids and you didn't have to book a slot, despite what the website tells you. Any decent supermarkets or regular shops(other than the on site tiny convenience store) are miles away so be prepared to pay for their food on site if you haven't brought any. Regular pub food nothing fancy and reasonable standard price's (10-15ÂŁ a head without drinks) Overall it was OK. I wouldn't stay more than 3 or 4 nights

Really nice family getaway. A lot of dogs around if you have a reactive dog it won't be great, there are signs everywhere to keep dogs on leads but there were many let loose outside of caravans! Really short walk to a lovely hidden beach. I wish the caravans had some soap, toilet roll, towels etc so we didn't have to rush around trying to find some but otherwise really nice. Definitely eat at the barn or somewhere in West Mersea, the boathouse was awful!

We had a brilliant stay, the lodge was huge, very clean and it was great to not have to take towels. The restaurant served very tasty, well priced meals. The location was lovely right next to the beach. Lots of wildlife to spot

The lodge we stayed in was ok. Dog friendly. Not 100% clean as lots of dog hair still in carpet. Master bedroom toilet has a smell problem and shower head broken. The boathouse restaurant is maybe 3 star. Not much selections of beer and food is not so great as quite expensive for what is is. Try not order pizza as they are from frozen. And most dont use the mens toilet you regret going in there. The gents in clacton on sea is far more cleaner. Internet lost of black spot. No signal in the caravan site.

Great place yo take the kids and the park itself was immaculate and the accommodation was very good. Friendly and helpful staff the whole duration of our stay and the entertainers done a very good job keeping the kids entertained. Highly recommend and lovely views of mersea.

The caravan was amazing, pool was good, very nice. Except the waiting for the food i don’t mind waiting for a while but during the time the waiters could have been helping i saw them on their phones. I think we ordered food at least an hour before and we didn’t get it until later. Anyway other than that it has been amazing so far

Just got back from 7 nights with my family, caravan was lovely clean and very close to sea and club house, good entertainment in the evening for the kids . Food was good at the restaurant save some money using the deals , drinks a little pricey so have deep pockets lol. Swimming was great and the extra things to book kids had fun . Great staff all round very helpful and pleasant đź‘Ť. Not much to do on the island so very peaceful, shops and takeaway is only 5 minutes in the car as well .

Not a bad location Caravan seemed clean Well equipped and in good working order We had a dog friendly van at a pet additional cost but did not reflect this. Main seating area was dog haired and later found to be flea ridden as our dog was infested after a couple of days. Was told they had regular routine cleaning procedures but obviously not enough and what used not effective. Later in week when weather changed had rodents in roof space at night. Left a day early for sleep and shower and treat dog once home. It was disappointing.

Writing as a owner at Coopers Beach. Is it perfect, no, but I think that is some of the charm here. Great location on the East of Mersea island which I like as it’s a bit quieter. The small beach is wonderful to sit next while having a drink or food at the club house. There is also a slip way to launch your boat or kayak from. Everyone is so friendly including all the staff who are excellent, including Mark the GM. And yes you get the odd wrong-un in the summer but where doesn’t. Every time we arrive at coopers we are instantly relaxed. Recommended for ownership or just a short break.

Lovely holiday park was very quiet, if your wanting to do things whilst there you need to travel. The park is well looked after, clean and friendly. There are some very nice pubs for food but you need a car to get around really.

Myself and my partner were commenting saying we don't know why the reviews are so bad from Cooper's beach. Then on the 4th day we booked swimming for 9am on the website as their were limited slots and we had booked Colchester Zoo for 11am so 9am was perfect. When we arrived at the pool we were turned away and told it's Policy that it's owners only swimming from 9am. Why let people book general swim slots when they are unavailable. My 3 year old is now in floods of tears as she cannot do swimming. Very very poor and now it makes sense why the reviews are so poor

Location was perfect, lovely walks around the park, however, we booked a swim for 9 am on the 6th of July and we were turned away! It was said that it was an owners only swim (which is fair enough, but why would you let us book that slot?) and that we had to come back at 10 to go swimming, by that point, we had already woken up early on our holiday and rushed to get ready, only to be turned away. We had a gym class booked at 10:30 so couldn’t go to the 10am and we thought that 9 was a good time to swim. The only option to book the swim that day was 9am and 2pm, so there was not any other option. When we got to our caravan on the Monday, we looked straight away for swimming slots and the only available times were Thursday, they said that all the other days were fully booked. On the website, it says that you can swim whenever you want, this is not true, can’t believe we paid to use the facilities yet couldn’t use any. Furthermore, the park customer wifi is bad. They make you pay £30 to use “premium wifi”. We paid the £30 to use the premium wifi yet ,what they didn’t tell us, is that they were having issues with the wifi and had people on the park fixing it. The issue was not solved until Thursday so we paid for use of 5 days of wifi and could only use it for a day and a half. What a joke! We then found out that the park had told the owners of the caravans that they were having wifi issues, yet they didn’t tell us, who booked a caravan from Monday to Friday. We contacted the customer service regarding the wifi and they made out that it was our phones that were being faulty, not their wifi. So, we wasted an hour or two talking to customer services when we should have been enjoying our holiday, bit of a waste of time. Also, while contacting customer services they cut the conversation out midway (we still had no wifi) and we did not receive any further help. Furthermore, when I got to my bedroom in the caravan on the Monday, I found an empty packet of chicken under my bed. This obviously doesn’t reflect a clean place to sleep. Other than that, the park was lovely to stay in and there’s some really nice beaches and things to do in the area. Not sure if I’d go back to that specific park though but there are surrounding ones that I’d like try out next time.

My in laws bought there lodge at coopers beach over a year ago. Well it’s safe to say we can’t get enough! It’s our home from home, our relaxing area! Even more so with our son, it’s amazing he loves the entertainment that coopers provide and the grub ain’t half bad either. This will be our weekend home and holiday place for at least the next 10-15years. The neighbourhood is great too they all love our little boy and include him in there days/party’s etc….

We are regular visitors to Coopers Beach..... its a lovely, relaxing caravan site. Lovely walks around the site & along the beach (when the tide is out). Staff friendly. Club house is great for a drink looking over the sea or having a nice meal. Children's play area could do with a bit of updating but the caravan park isn't far from Culmore Grove, which is a great play area for the children. Swimming pools are fab. The outside pool has just been refurbished. Definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday.

My partner has owned a caravan here at coopers for over 15 years I have been coming here with him and my children for the last 4 years. The children aged 13, 10 and 7 all love it here as do me and my partner. The staff are friendly. Food is nice. Camp site is kept nice. Nothing is ever perfect so always room for improvement and have heard the manager has some really good ideas for extending the complex which is quite small at the moment. Suggestion for further improvement bring back the Sunday carvery!!!!

Cooper’s Beach is a lovely Family Park which is kept to a very high standard. The grounds are kept immaculate. We are new owners here and our family enjoys coming for a family get together. The Boathouse is always run well by the staff and the new outside pool has been lovely this year as well as the inside pool. Our grandson loves it here and always makes friends when on park. The staff are always very helpful and always go above and beyond to help. Mark Gillings the General Manager is very lovely and his door is always open to anyone, he and his team work so hard to keep the park running well and looking lovely. We love the Entertainment and the Park try very hard to keep the children entertained with special events in the school holidays. We are very happy here and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

We are approaching our 1st anniversary as owners and wanted to share this with our friends. We booked in for the owners breakfast which was excellent. The staff serving were happy to be there and were very professional. Mark, the general manager had returned early from his holiday to be present. He spoke to everyone personally to express his thanks and appreciation for our continued support of the site. He really takes pride in Coopers Beach and wants to continue to improve the facilities. We look forward to spending many more happy years here.

Kids love it here, everything is so clean and tidy in the club house and the food was good. Play ground could do with some more or a good tidy up. The swimming pool is big enough and well under control by the lifeguards, shame the heaters for the pool weren't working one of the days but apart from that it was warm enough for me and the kids.
