Much smaller but still impressive version of its big brother located in the centre of Victoria. The clock tower was commissioned by the Vestry of St. George’s Hanover-Square as a public convenience, sitting conveniently next to another sort of public convenience – an underground lavatory. There’s a suggestion that it may have also been used to conceal a ventilation shaft from the toilets! The location, at the junction of Victoria Street and Vauxhall Bridge Road, was also chosen specifically as it was where people hurrying for a train would lose sight of Little Ben’s bigger brother in Westminster. Built by Gillett & Johnston of Croydon, the clock tower was unveiled at noon. It was originally painted green. Three shades of green, although the gold detailing is as it was originally.

The Little Ben is a cast iron miniature clock tower designed it mimics the famous clock tower. A monumental clock in miniature and a quirky little landmark of London. A little bit of fun and worth seeing if you're in the Victoria Station area

Just a miniature version of big ben. Nothing worth to visit this place, if you are going this way then you can have a view of this. This is placed in middle of road, anyone can visit and there are no tickets or anything. Just a random clock on road designed like big ben.

If you need to kill a few minutes while waiting for a bus, train or the tube at Victoria Station you can run on over and take a look at Little Ben. Originally erected in 1892, it's a cool little photo opportunity for I guess Big Ben's little brother. It's a pretty busy intersection but pretty easy to get to.

Disappointed that Big Ben is covered in scaffolding? Little Ben isn't! Came upon this spot on accident and I am so glad I did! It was great for a couple of pictures and right in the thick of things. No special trip required to enjoy this spot! #letsguide #photoop

(Translated by Google) Little Ben is a scale replica of Big Ben. Manufactured in cast iron by Croydon Gillett and Johnston watchmakers. Erected for the first time near Victoria Station in 1892, it is now located at the intersection of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Victoria Street. It was removed in 1964, but was restored and returned with a new mechanism in 1981 under the patronage of Elf Aquitaine UK. The poster also says that it is offered as a gesture of friendship between France and England "My hands can be delayed or can move forward My heart beats both England and France. J.W.R

Due to its small size you might regard it as some poles if you didn't look closely. Besides its in the middle of walkway so it gets busy with people crossing the street.

Little Ben is a cast iron miniature clock tower, situated at the intersection of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Victoria Street, in Westminster, central London, close to the approach to Victoria station. In design it mimics the famous clock tower colloquially known as Big Ben at the Palace of Westminster, found at the other end of Victoria Street. А replica of Little Ben called Lorloz (painted silver) was erected in 1903 in the centre of Victoria, capital of Seychelles to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897. Little Ben was removed in 2012 and put in storage during upgrade works to London Victoria station.[1] The time piece was refurbished and the clock tower was reinstalled on 28 February 2016.

When you first see this 15 for replica of Big Ben it looks out of place surrounded by so many big buildings. But if you give it a chance to grow on you, you will be pleasantly surprised how detailed and beautiful it is.

Visited in July 2022 after seeing this landmark on the Amazing Race . It’s free , easy to find and that’s about it. Worth five minutes of your time , sure - but don’t go too far out of your way to visit if your time in London is limited . It’s a clock , Big Ben is much more impressive…..

Did not realize there was a small replica of Big Ben but came across it on our walk round the Victoria station area. Not a lot to say about it really, its a clock but looks nice all the same

  • 5/5 Andreas S. 1 year ago on Google
In my opinion, the "Little Ben" is the most beautiful clock in the world. The colour composition is uniquely beautiful and classic. The great example of this clock is on the Thames. The clock can be easily reached by taking the underground or bus to Victoria Station. It is located on an island between streets and can be reached on foot.

Nice little landmark with no wait, but has a flaw that it is in a central crossing, which doesn't make it look like a popular landmark.

Excellent and pretty miniature copy of St Stephen's Tower in which Big Ben is housed. On a busy island road crossing. (Confusingly, St Stephen's Tower is also known as the Elizabeth Tower). Little Ben was erected in the 1880's as a token of friendship from the French. Originally, it was supposed to tell British time during half the year and French time the other half of the year which is what the writing alludes to on it. These days however, it is just the British time. Really good place to meet people. Recently been repaired and repainted it now stands proud in full glory.

Little Ben is a miniature clock tower, close to the approach to Victoria station and worth viewing the next time you are in the area. However it is located in a very busy area, lots of crossings. If you are out for the day to get some landmark photos it's best to avoid early morning rush hour and lunch time as the streets are very busy to get good photography shots.
