An absolutely wonderful experience! The tickets were good value and the surroundings beautiful. Who would have thought my kids would sit through a thirty minute narrated documentary about dark matter? Well, they did and I didn't hear a peep out of them throughout, except the odd "wow"! The Planetarium is modern, comfortable and really impressive to behold, from the exterior 'dome' to the interior 'cinema'... The experience is half way between watching a movie on a huge screen and riding a rollercoaster and is genuinely exciting... We'll be back!!

Good experience and educational. I booked tickets for Night with The Sky which included the Planetarium and the observatory at £24 a ticket. Bear in mind, this event is only shown around wintertime so you'll have to keep checking dates from the website. The planetarium is a fantastic projection of the stars and constellations, where one of the lovely staff will take you through its history. No photos are allowed when watching the projection so bear that in mind.

We booked tickets for "meet the neighbours" and loved it! The presenter was so friendly and has such a calming voice, and was nicely funny too. It really takes you back to childhood - I'd definitely recommend for any age!

What a wonderful place! The show was great, Greg is brilliant so entertaining and he does create a friendly atmosphere filled with knowledge and giggles, fun and relaxing afternoon out. Always filled with shows and programs, you want to do something different and to expand your general knowledge than this is the right place to visit. (Great for dates too!) The views are phenomenal you can look out over London, see my pics. There is a steep hill to walk up to the observatory, once you up it is well worth it. The sunset light made it even more magical. Highly recommend, already thinking about the next time we can visit.

Not bad, but not great. Much more potential if they added more planet pictures/statues etc all over the entrance/Cafe/Stairs etc. Rather than just a single area (pictured) before going into the Dome area.

The planetarium experience is great, worth the walk up the hill, If you have a pram or want a gentler slope from the bottom of the hill follow the road up.

Worst customer service from management. No consideration or empathy for the customers travelling from far. They will take and keep your money, then not admit you in at their own discretion. To get there the walk is ridiculous and tiring especially with the closures at the park . Google maps gives in inaccurate time span fr the travel so if you do choose here bare that in mind. However, I'm about to check out Marylebone planetarium and try luck there.

Disappointing given the Greenwich location, history and importance. Lacking in content and the presenter was difficult to understand with a depth of knowledge he did not share. It could have been so much more informative and interesting. Not worth the ticket price. For what was on offer it should have been free

Well, the seating sucks. Straight up ridiculous. Unless you're in the middle of course. There's seating at the end, where you can't even look up, you have to turn your neck uncomfortably around, might as well bring a pillow. Or come way before the show starts. The people there were very polite and helpful, I've been here before but I sat in the middle then. I honestly don't even understand WHY the corner seats are there. And you have to put force into leaning back in the seats, would be great if there were something like a lever to hold the sear in place when you're leaning backwards. Order in advance, but you can also just buy tickets there. The gift shop have a variation of space trinkets and some books, prices good. Helpfull staff and signs all around. Only reason I don't rate this a 3, is because of the staff.

Took a 4-year-old lover of the planets here, I didn't expect him to have great concentration levels, but he loved his day out at the Planetarium & in London (although pretty irrelevant to the main event... he especially loved the gift shop.. which bankrupted me!! 'We' got all very pricey gifts for EVERYONE 🫣). An expensive day out for me, having booked 2 lots of train tickets, having rescheduled the trip after the initial booking, we then missed the 2nd train by 2mins, so drove there & got a parking ticket, so including the gift shop 'experience', it was a more expensive day out than an all-expenses-paid(by me) trip to Smith Toys! Good cheap fun for children & adults alike. I came here as a child <5 & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended for anyone over 5👍.

(Review for "Ted's Space Adventure" under 7s show, which is less than 30 minutes long). For a building they maintain well and a space projection they clearly spent money on, this was a let down. Unexpectedly, the narration came from the venue host - not from the eponymous 'Ted' who is completely silent. Not giving him a character through a professional actor or having narration over the show is lazy and cheap, not to mention controversial and divisive. The information is fairly uninteresting and they imagery doesn't wow you. Our 3 year old seemed to enjoy the novelty which is fine but as adults, you still want value for money and we just expected so much better and so much more.

What an amazing place. Went here for an Italian language planetarium site as part of the bilingual families series. The staff were incredible and so was the show. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the planetarium is an amazing building. I would highly recommend being well rested when attending. It is quite soothing and the seats are almost bed-like in their comfort so nodding off is a distinct possibility.

Not worth £10. It's the only planetarium I've been to in the UK, but compared to the planetariums I've been to outside the UK, this was more than 3 times the cost, but only a third of the screen size. Tiny little room with less seating capacity and a show that lasts only around 20-25 minutes. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because of the host. She was quite fun in the way she illustrated and took us through the whole show. It wasn't pre-recorded, she explained everything as and when it was displayed on the screen. Btw, the screen wasn't amazing either. They should include the observatory and planetarium for £16. Not charge £16 for the observatory and another £10 for the planetarium. Sorry, not worth it.

i was afraid we'd lose our visit as our kid got ill the night before, but they gladly moved our tickets to the week after, so that was nice of them. the planetarium is nice, and i'd love to see the main show, because the one for kids was short (shirt attention span of the audience, i guess) and a bit childish (duuuh....)

Like another reviewer said, I didn't leave thinking wow. In fact, very average. I thought it'd be a more immersive experience. The quality of the screens were poor. Lots of stopping and starting. Lots of still images of astrological constellations. I still remember the planetarium at Madame Tussauds. Now that was excellent. I would've given 3 stars but on the way out the staff didn't let us buy any souvenirs. I promised my kids on the way out we'd get a few mementos but the 3/4 staff members refused to serve. I thought it was the norm to buy souvenirs upon leaving..... I do not recommend

Went to Ted’s adventure show. It’s really nice for kid but the ticket £10 for adult is too much. The show is more for children so it would be better if cheaper for adult

A stunning experience for sure. We watched The Sky Tonight and Mario was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the myriad of information regarding the different star formations, galaxies and the universe at large. Yes, it's half an hour long but it's a stunning, educational half an hour that you won't regret.

We went to see a really great show at the Planetarium recently but it was a little disappointing as it was so short, only 30 minutes in length. For the price that you pay, 1 hour would be much better value although I appreciate the staff narrate it but that could be audio-recorded and automated to save on costs. Other than that's it's well worth a visit and hope to come back again soon to explore the rest of the Royal Observatory and the surrounding park.

The seating is very uncomfortable. The corner seats are such a pain. And the show is good for kids and parents accompanying them. But if u are an adult looking for an awesome experience, skip it. Look for something with a good screen resolution. By the way, the astronomer, Dr. Greg Brown was hilarious and amazing. Great diction and quite knowledgeable.

I went as a child and brought my 8 and 13 year old today. Greg was FANTASTIC and gripped the kids straight away. He was funny and SO informative. My daughter asked a question about atoms at the end and he didn’t dodge it at all. It was further than I realised which was a bit stressful before as we didn’t quite leave enough time being non Londoners but well worth it.

My visit to the Greenwich Planetarium for the bilingual show in Portuguese with Tania and Priscila was nothing short of amazing. The experience was a perfect blend of education and entertainment. Tania and Priscila were fantastic and made the entire show engaging and informative for the audience. Their passion for astronomy shone through, and their bilingual presentation was incredibly helpful . The visuals and content of the show were captivating, and I left with a greater appreciation for the universe around us. The Greenwich Planetarium provided a comfortable and immersive environment, and the entire experience was truly memorable. I highly recommend visiting the Greenwich Planetarium and catching a show with Tania and Priscila. It's an experience that both educates and inspires, and I can't wait to return for another visit. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Where do I start.. it’s a teeny tiny planetarium with awful sound system and awful narration. To think that this is London’s only planetarium is very disappointing. I have attended a show called beyond the moons and the content itself is pretty basic. They could definitely invest in a better mike and sound system. The show time was just under 30 mins including an introduction with housekeeping instructions. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

There's 2 shows a day - dont know when the morning one is, but my friends and I went at 14.45pm (quarter to three pm) it was sensational! The history, the narrated story of the stars from our guide, the lovely gentleman who told us about the meteorite, dont wanna give too much away! The royal observatory is just breathtakingly beautiful too x well worth a visit x

This review is about the planetarium show, it is part of the Greenwich Observatory site, the site has two sets of tickets the buildings museum and meridian line. There is a separate ticket for planetarium show, this has to be booked on line and is separate from the building/museum side. There are a couple of shows, Mars and The sky tonight. The show last about 3/4 of an hour, you are seated like a cinema. The chap who did all the descriptions was a astronomer, young man who added a bit of humour as well. Very interesting show and worth gbp 10.00

So disappointed. Due to technical error. ‘System crash’ the show didn’t get beyond two minutes. We traveled across London for the 16:30 viewing today. My advice would be, only book this if you are already in the area doing other things. Don’t make the mistake we did by heading across London just for this at the end of a busy day. This was supposed to be the highlight of the day, but as the system ‘crashed’ two minutes in, we were left with a frozen image on the screen and the promise of a refund - which we had to queue up - for a good half hour to get - and we were 4th in the refund queue. Only one person on the till providing refunds to an auditorium full of people. This caused more delay and disappointment to our day. Greenwich has lots to offer so plan lots of other things to do here so you are not left as disappointed as we were. It was a long way to travel for a frozen screen and no one on hand to fix or reboot!

Had a fantastic visit to the Peter Harrison Planetarium. Was great to learn more and add to my own knowledge plus more to look for with my very own telescope back home. Highly recommend

The show was excellent. Host was extremely funny and informative. Very well recommended (especially as I got in free with blue light card)! I recommend as part of a visit to this area.

Sucks!! We took the tickets on the internet but the address was not indicated!! So we came by taxi (even he didn't know where it was...) and we asked people where the planetarium was but no one knew how to show us the way!! We turned for 30 minutes and we finally found the way... When we FINALLY arrived, two staff members refused us entry because we were 2 minutes late!! Inadmissible!! We went to talk with staff members inside the planetarium who were not even able to reimburse us and give us an explanation!! Very unpleasant in addition! So we looked at the reviews on the internet out of curiosity, and we are not the only ones!! Moreover, many people say that the experience is not good.. so thank you for this very unpleasant experience, if you come to London or Greenwich, you will have other much better activities to experience!!
