Historic castle used as a residence by the British Royal family. Tickets can be purchased on the day but better to purchase online. Tickets which are purchased from the castle itself can be converted to an annual pass for free. It takes about two hours to tour the grounds and castle, depending on how long you want to linger at each point. A free touch screen audio guide and headphones are loaned for the tour. There is no tour guide, you just walk around at your own pace. The touch screen guide will provide information on various parts of the castle. The parts are numbered. The North terrace then the doll's House followed by the state apartments then St George's chapel. The Chapel is closed for visitors on Sunday. Changing of the guard happens at 11am on certain days except Sunday. No photography is allowed inside. Use public car parks, the castle does not have one for visitors.

This is my First review since the Pandemic has taken over the world..... We moved to United Kingdom recently and Windsor castle is the very First Attraction we visited. There are many ways one can reach here but the best is Via Train - Cheapest and the View is great you catch sight of the Whole Castle while you reach the destination. Alternatively you can use Bus , Cab or your own Vehicle. There are a lot of Option for Shopping as well for Eating out BTW dinning is allowed so can enjoy in house dinner/lunch. Talking about the Castle it's stupendous , Still in a very great shape and looks very clean and nice. The protector of the queen will be standing outside with Weapon of course. The location is just great... You can enjoy in the garden or take a long walk towards the Queen's Walkaway... It's an Awesome Destination for Few hours of Chill, photoshoot , Eating & Drinking & Shopping. A must Visit place in your London's Dairy.

Perfect for a day out and I recommend buying tickets in advance. Amazing place to explore and stunning architecture. Audio guide is available. Taking photos inside the chapel and state rooms are prohibited. Still you can enjoy and appreciate the place inside and out. Highly recommended!

Better experienced than described. Tour operators I went with = Premium tours. Excellent group, great Tour guide, experienced driver, great timing and important tips. I visited on a Saturday, started tour at 9:30am, witnessed guards change around 11am. Place was packed with several tourists from all over the world. I'd recommend going with a guide. We had to wait a few minutes in long queues before entering as the place was heavily booked. I bought tickets in advance through the tour group I came with and that saved me a lot of hassle. Was lucky to witness the guards change. Rich English culture, well preserved, proudly displayed. A definite recommend for anyone interested in rich royal history and artefacts. Decent washrooms, affordable eateries around, friendly but strict castle staff, everything was on point. Souvenirs to be grabbed within and outside castle at reasonable prices.

Windsor Castle reigns supreme as the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, proudly perched atop a Thames-side bluff for over 900 years. Witness to British monarchs from William the Conqueror to Queen Elizabeth II, it's a tapestry woven with royal splendor, architectural intrigue, and captivating stories. Key Features: St George's Chapel: A Gothic masterpiece, housing the tombs of 10 monarchs and Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's wedding venue. State Apartments: Immerse yourself in the opulent living quarters of the royal family, adorned with priceless art and furniture. Changing of the Guard: Witness the iconic ceremony where Queen's Guard regiments swap duties in a vibrant display of precision and tradition. Magnificent Grounds: Explore sprawling gardens, lush lawns, and the majestic Round Tower, offering panoramic views of the Thames Valley. Significance: A symbol of British monarchy and national pride for centuries. A stunning example of medieval and Gothic architecture, evolving over time. A vibrant working castle, hosting state occasions and royal residences. Visiting Windsor Castle: Open to the public for tours of the State Apartments and St George's Chapel. Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place daily. Advance booking recommended, especially during peak season. Step into a world of royal grandeur at Windsor Castle, where history whispers from every stone.

A majestic castle, very fortunate to get some sun throughout the day during Winter. I love St's George chapel but I love St.George's Hall, State dinning room and King Charles I story. The day I visit the queen was residing there, such an amazing feeling to be quite near her presence.

Highly recommend it. Buy your tickets in advance to avoid queues. The Doll House & State Apartments are impressive but you’re not allowed to take pictures. Lovely and helpful staff. Don’t forget to pick the audio guides. Parking can be expensive, £10 for 3 hours but there is a train station 10 minutes walking distance

It's great to visit a place that it is actively being used, but the ticket price is not justified. The majority of the places that you can see are actually on the outside of the castle. The only good thing is that is you decide to donate the ticket amout to charity, you have access for a year to the castle with the same tickets, but still, if you don't live nearby then my initial comment stands. The dollhouse, for example, has really long queues, and once inside, you have to keep moving and can not really enjoy how much you want as the flow has to move. Honestly, overall, it's not that impressive compared to other castles that I have visited. The great thing about it is the location as it is really close to the train station and it's easy to reach.

The official Queen Isabel 👸 residence. After visiting it, i have no doubt why she has chosen this venue. Even the air feels different, the streets are not regular pavement which makes it feel more time traveling than walking around. Once inside get shocked with the different rooms ( download the audio guide) it makes the experience complete and more involving or alternatively you can purchase the book containing the history of Windsor castle and more, it is available for £5, quite cheap if you ask me and all that money goes to the restoration and improvement of this royal venue. Take some time to visit and admire St George's Chapel built around 1300. Also you'll have the chance to witness the Changing of the guard 💂‍♂️ 💂‍♀️ at 11 am. Btw you wont be allowed to exit Windsor castle during this change until it is over. But before and after no worries. I would recommend arriving early so you can enjoy the sun rising lighting the Castle. The quietness and serenity of the surrounding area makes this venue perfect for those looking to unplug from the noises of the big city and listen to your own thoughts. All in all is a place to be visited, appreciated, and don't haste or hurry up, also always look up, the ceilings are sometimes unbelievable decorated and full of details and history.

A very beautiful castle. Wonderful collection of rare artifacts throughout the palace. What makes is very interesting is that the castle is still working. You get to see 900+ years worth of history in the making.

Impressive and interesting. Beautifully displayed and the free narrative via headphones is brief and informative so you don't get overloaded with unnecessary information. Tick the right box on your ticket and you also get a years worth of admission.

I liked it. We visited as part of a 2-day tour from London so we had limited time, but it was more than enough to visit the whole place. We didn’t get to see the changing of the guard, but the doll house is very impressive. There are lots of rooms to explore, and the audio guide was explanatory. However, one of the guides had the files in different order so it was difficult to follow the path

Visited the Windsor Castles during the Christmas holidays, the castle was closed but we could walk around the castle, take pictures, and also walk to the river. The rail station is historic and the engine which was used by the royal family is still on display. Even if you want to see things outside of Castle it would take at least a couple of hours, our tour gave us one hour to eat breakfast and look around. Make sure you have good cameras and comfortable walking shoes. There are a few restaurants that are open on holiday that day. I guess due to holidays the souvenir shops didn't open until our tour ended.

Beautiful architecture and rooms filled with all sorts of weapons, cutlery, crockery, and furniture. The detail that is in the ceilings, stonework, and paintings is intricate. There is so much to take in visually. We didn’t get the free guided tours and even so it still took us about 2 hours to walk around the grounds and through the different buildings. Unfortunately, you’re not allowed pictures inside St George’s Chapel or the State buildings but the inside of both these buildings is full of intricate detail and decoration. Also some of the nicest, cleanest, and most tranquil bathrooms you will use, some nicely decorated with wood and others in rooms with historical charm and character.

Windsor Castle remains a favourite home of Queen Elizabeth, and she spends most of her weekends there. There was a huge fire at the castle in November 1992 which took 15 hours and 1.5 million gallons of water to extinguish. It began in the Private Chapel and soon spread to affect approximately one fifth of the castle. It took 5 years to restore the castle, and was finished in late 1997.

Amazing History, took us 2 to 3 hours to walk round, unfortunately no dogs are aloud on site at all, and there is no photography inside any buildings. Very knowledgeable guides and the audio tour is very interesting but we found it very difficult to follow as it all seemed in the wrong order and finding what room you were in and the appropriate audio was a challenge. Local parking is incredibly expensive at over £17 for 4 hours.

One of the greatest if not the greatest I've ever seen!!! The place is absolutely stunning!!! Magical 🪄. The castle is huge, with wide areas, gardens, doors. You can't take pictures from the inside but was emotional just seeing it: the chambers, historical events, battles and king's pictures are all over the place. Highly recommend.

Exceptional staff who provided a Royal 5star service helped to make this one of the best places to visit. One member in our party was in a wheelchair and the staff communicated behind the scenes to each other, ensuring we were greeted at each level by a member of staff who notified us where the next lift was and they would be on hand to help. Douglas was exceptionally helpful and provided us with a private mini tour of the staterooms explaining items in great detail.

Windsor Castle is open to the public only five days a week, closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Recommend buying tickets in advance otherwise it gets busier during holidays and they get fully sold. If you have your ticket printed then you can convert it into a seasonal ticket near reception which is a bonus. It's a must see castle in the UK where you can still see strong tie up with royals and his majesty the king. Surprisingly still it's a home for royals and they use this place for stay. Beauty, history and still its live place for royals makes this castle unique and amazing. We spent around 5-6 hrs to cover the entire castle, the chapel and short lunch. We first visited the chapel and then covered the castle. They had two long queues to go inside the castle and the longest slowest was always queen Mary's dollhouse. We waited about an hour outside in line but the dollhouse is definitely worth it! Staterooms are marvelous with arts , painting and decorations. I really enjoyed it. They do have a cafe inside the castle which is good but quite expensive. After all you are paying for the place.

Great service and kindness from the queens staff here at the castle. They made both my wife and I feel so welcome. The castle was full of so much history and was so fun to visit. It was beautiful and worth the tickets! Don’t just wait outside, go in!

This was a lot cooler than I expected! It was absolutely beautiful and impressive. The doll house and the artwork inside the castle are incredible and gorgeous. The church was also really neat to see. Just a really awesome and beautiful place- I would come back again and hopefully would spend a bit longer next time. Plan on budgeting a couple hours for your visit and also keep in mind that there are certain times when the changing of the guards will take place, as that can impact when the gates are open. I also wish I could’ve spent more time in the Windsor town area- it’s super cute.

What an amazing experience to walk around such an historic and influencing place with so much history facts and rare things. The guides were helpful thoughtful nothing was to much trouble no question was left unanswered definitely worth a trip. This was a family decision on a split second unplanned excursion as online there were no tickets for sale

Wow, what a place. 1000 years old and still looks amazing. Went to visit and look inside the halls and residence, etc. Fascinating history Kings Queens paintings and from all over the world gifts etc. To see. I had to pay my respect to the late Queen and Prince Philip. Took a few moments to remember how wonderful they both were. Well, it's worth a visit. What else could someone say.

Actually I like this place. I think the Royal Family has a good taste. Worse to visit better than Buckingham Palace. The guide tour equipment has to be improved and check the condition. I think should be restrictions supervised and let do some photos about craft work, architecture etc. Some photo spots would be good idea.

Such a fascinating place of British regal history. Perfect place to go on a weekend and to see the history maintained beautifully. The regiments of royal guards are there to be photographed in their ceremonial uniforms. There is Royal Doll’s house and miniature royal palace are also fascinating to see. There are a lot of sights, where you can click aesthetic pictures and after checking all the places, you can buy magnets, postcards and souvenirs. There are a lot of good food places near castle and not to miss the ice cream places. Also not to miss to see “The Long Walk” at Windsor park.

My visit to Windsor Castle was amazing! The castle itself is stunning, and I was fascinated by the history it holds. The staff were friendly and shared interesting stories that made the experience even better. St. George's Chapel was a highlight, so beautifully designed. The views from the castle grounds were breathtaking too. If you're looking for a memorable and enjoyable outing, Windsor Castle is a great choice!

Spent several hours walking around Windsor Castle and it was great to learn more about its history and to physically walk around and see many areas of the castle. When we visited it was extremely busy (to the extent we found it difficult to move). Little tip: If you intend to visit St George’s Chapel, I would recommend you do this early on in your visit as the queues build up fast.

Standard admission charge for access to the castle and At George's Chapel is £22.50. Audio guide at no extra cost. Amazing place. Better than Buckingham Palace in my opinion. Easy to spend half a day if you take your time to listen to the guide and stop to appreciate your surroundings and the history. Understandably, photography is not allowed in some areas.

I deffinitely recommend the walk you can do along side the path which is leading you to the castle. You can do a great pictures from there.

Visited Windsor Town and the Castle. Tuesdays and Wednesdays the Castle is not open to the public. However an excellent location for a photo opportunity. The Castle is situated in Windsor Town and is surrounded by The Great Windsor Park and also has the famous Long Walk. The Castle is very popular with Tourists from both home and abroad. A good day trip for family and friends.

Amazing place, a lot of history, beautifully managed and a must visit. You can feel the enormity of history in every vein of the castle. Wish we could have had a lucky glimpse of her highnesses, as she happened to be in the castle today. The guard change ceremony was another highlight and a fabulous one at that.

Highly recommend this as it is one of the must-see locations if you are visiting the country or the area. Overall, it was a lovely visit. Before arriving we did not know what to expect as this was the first time visiting this particular location. We had a driver who dropped us off at the corner between the long walk and the entrance. Entrance was very easy and organized and the guards were very professional and helpful. No pictures are allowed inside parts of some buildings but that leaves the visitor plenty of area to take pictures outside the buildings on the grounds. I like the audio tour but think that your estimate of how long they take is a little low. It took more than 120 minutes to see most of what we saw and that was before the planned Kitchen tour that we booked. I think 180 minutes might be more accurate. The church and grounds are beautiful and have a rich history we could have spent much more time there. The fire restoration is amazing. Kudos to the builders for restoring it to its current condition in just 5 short years. After the visit, we walked part of the long walk and then down the cobblestone city streets. That was a bit less well-kept than the castle grounds but nice all the same.

Absolutely worth a visit to get a true feel of how the royals work/ live. Loved the audio tour that comes with the tickets, they are not too long or getting boring so that makes the whole experience easy going. Loved having a break in the cafe and had a yummy hot choco with cream. Only thing that does not make me give it a 5 star is that I think the tickets are too expensive. Even though you can make the tickets a “year entrance one for free”, for a tourist like me not coming from the UK is something I can’t use or is a bonus, but good to know for people knowing they want to revisit in a yeas :-). And I wished you were allowed to take pics inside

I always wanted to visit this beautiful 🏰, we went on weekend and there was not much queue. We opted for audio tour which was very helpful to understand about each section of the castle. We walked and it felt amazing- I can really understand what a beautiful place the queen chose for her abode. The view is magnificent and filled with royalty😍 We enjoyed each each sections like state apartments, state rooms, dolls house and beautiful treasures across the globe. We also visited St. George Chapel were most queens, kings and priest’s were entombed. There is beautiful restaurant inside the castle- we loved the dessert. Staff is very helpful and kind gesture. Highly recommended if you get a chance to visit this magnificent castle❤️

Absolutely beautiful place, a tad expensive but we felt worth it. We went as two adults and two children, and unfortunately were not eligible for any type of discount. It’s worth noting that buying tickets on the day is a couple of pounds more expensive than getting them the day before. All the staff there are incredibly helpful and if they see you curious or looking at something, will often come over to talk to you or go out of their way to help. The tour itself relies on a small digital guide with screen and requires you to interact with it. The kids got pretty distracted quickly and were missing the stunning architecture so we took three back and had one for our eldest to use and she told us about what was going on while we read the signs etc. also worth noting that there are no paper maps, although if you buy a guide, the gift shop is just as you enter, which does have one inside. You enter and if with kids, the area to the right has activity maps usually and a craft area if it’s a half term or holiday. The site itself we spent two and a half hours in and the children loved it, especially in the great hall with the suites of armour and taking in the surrounds. We did walk through the original chapel which actually has Henry VIII armour in, but otherwise saw most of what we wanted to see. Make sure to get your ticket stamped on the way out and you can return again within a year, the chapel is closed on a Sunday so we’ll be revisiting to see the other sights another day.

Went on a Sunday, having booked tickets in advance. Definitely book them beforehand. If you have a print out of the ticket, you can convert it into a season ticket at the castle. It is a bit weird that they need a physical copy even in today’s age to do so! The castle is beautiful. Pick up an audio guide and go around. We also got to see the change of guard when we were exiting. The visit was a bit disappointing in some regards though. 1) we were unable to go to the chapel since it was closed 2) the audio guide didn’t match up with the way we encountered the rooms - it seems they had reversed the path and as a result we had to figure out which section of the guide to listen to upon entering each section. Overall though, it was a great visit and would recommend going.

Lovely day out. Visited again after 10+ years. Sadly I didn't see much of the current king Charles III or the queen Elizabeth II. Shame couldn't visit the st George chapel because it was a Sunday. In England the church is closed on Sunday ( unbelievable) . However very informative. Not sure why we can't take pictures inside ( bit weird).

Holy, It's beautiful! There were rooms with many beautiful great old paintings you'll break your neck just by looking and turning around seeing just how beautiful the castle and the chapel is. The architecture dates back to the 1200s, it's worth the visit. Give it a try.

Probably the oldest and largest castle in the world, it was fabulous to see the home of British king and queen. Visited with family. Be sure to check the castle opening days before visiting, it stays closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I personally lived it, had a view of the long walk where prince Harry and Megan walked for theri wedding reception. This can be seen also from the Windsor city tour hop on bus. Had a great family time

Royal residence during the English summer. About 45 min drive from central London. Was busy and had to wait about 30min in line. Photographs are not allowed inside the state rooms but you can take them outside. Impressive castle which is the oldest and largest in England. You get an audio guide if you do the tour which gives great detail and hiatory along the guided route. Well worth the visit. We took about 1.5hours here but we were on a bus tour with other tourists and had other places to visit so had to be a bit quick about it. Once there head first to the state rooms to cover those before heading to St George's Chapel as the rooms are the highlights along with their art and antiques. Pictures posted are only the outdoor ones.

First visit to this fantastic piece of British history. The whole place is steeped in our heritage. The displays are beautifully presented and described fully. The castle is immaculately kept and the grounds are clean and tidy. Three hours well spent.

Amazing castle. You do have to go through a security check, but considering it is an active castle with politicians and dignitary visiting for events I understand. Was only able to take photos outside. But getting inside and seeing the art, armor and weapons was awesome. The doll house was realy cool to see considering it was wired and plumbed at that scale. Though they did turn off the water to preserve it. A must see if your visiting.

Had a brilliant visit here. It's very well organised, as one would imagine, with lots to see. We also visited St George's Chapel, which was magnificent and also very moving. No photography is allowed in the castle or the chapel, but it is every bit as splendid as you would imagine.

Easy to book tickets online, very friendly staff who share lots of information about the castle and just a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. We missed St Georges Chapel as we were so absorbed in the castle and it closed at 4pm. Never mind will definitely be visiting again.

I very much enjoyed my visit here. The State Apartments are very impressive but the Castle also offers some great views of the surrounding land particularly over towards Eton. The whole operation, given the site is obviously very security conscious, seemed to be very streamlined.

The castle is in a very better shape than most of the castles here in the UK. It's clean and there are washrooms at every 100mtrs. It's made accessible for all kinds of visitors including kids. Beware, if you plan to enter the State rooms, the staff there won't allow your kids even milk bottles coz that might spoil the carpet. Else, it's good to see the luxurious rooms there. We went during Christmas time and so they had decorated trees put up. But you won't be allowed to take pics inside so really no need to dress up. LoL. Nice experience overall.

Absolutely stunning! A must see for anyone visiting. Lots of restaurants, pubs and shopping in the area as well.

Well maintained. You'll get the feel of how royal palace will be. Audio pass given (free audiobook devices) adds more clarity about the history of the palace. Once you book it you'll get one year pass.

Great little museum, the Headphone led tour as you walk around the castle is a great idea, especially as it's included in the price of the ticket. The unfortunate reason I've had to drop the castle a few stars is because we had a couple of issues with some rude staff.

Glad we visited the Castle and Windsor. Only recently started appreciating what an amazing country and heritage we have. Staff were very welcoming, approachable and knowledgeable. It certainly had wow factor and hope to return one day to take advantage of the free returns within 12 months.

Lovely home of the Queen. A once in a lifetime experience to explore the medieval castle to one of the famous monarch. The place is secured. Photography and video taking is controlled so the best way to experience is to go in and buy a ticket.

Windsor is a castle you cannot miss. It is indeed beautiful and the surrounding area adds a nice touch to the overall experience.

Lovely castle with such history. We did not enter the castle so I can't comment on ticket price or the wait to get in but we saw the change of guards here, amazing experience for all ages. Beautiful little town and some nice walks around the castle and mile walk. Plenty of places to eat and shop.

I personally loved this place. The place shows the history of Royal family. Do not miss the tour. You can get the feeling how the royal family lives. Amazing interiors and so many precious things related to history.

This place is well worth a visit. Use the audio guide to make the most of your visit. Try to pick a day/ time of the year when most rooms are open. Don't forget to turn your ticket into an annual one which you do at the audio station

Being an absolute history nerd I was beyond excited to come visit the UK for its rich history. While staying in London I ventured out to see this castle. I absolutely recommend the trip out to see it.

It is now wonder the Royal family lives here. Amazing is too tame a word for Windsor Castle. It is more than worth the time to tour as much of the castle as one can.

Wonderful place... Early Sunday morning is the best time to visit... Have an English breakfast at a local café in the station and then take a stroll through the town... Around 10am if you want,,, you can visit Windsor Castle... Just buy tickets 😜

Beautiful castle! The queen actually resides in the other part of this castle on weekends.Shows history of the British reign in different parts of the world..also gifts given to the queen from various countries on display! A beautiful castle on the interior and the exterior. Takes at least 2 hours to properly notice and read all the details.

Expect to wait at least 15 minutes in queue to visit the Castle. Fortunately, the staff members were really helpful, and the security check was completed smoothly. The admission ticket included a multimedia guide available in several languages, which aided me in planning the visit. Nonetheless, since some of the spots were overcrowded, I didn't spend as much time exploring.

Immense place (over 400,000 square feet and at least 12 acres). After security, you come into an outside section with some choices. I recommend St. George's Chapel first - get in a slowly moving line and see the chapel inside, the grave of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip and a lot more. After, go to the dollhouse and what they call the apartments (lots of rooms with preserved furniture and paintings). The audio guide comes with. Needs almost 3 hours to do it right.

I meeeean, it’s a castle. A working home for royalty when they aren’t doing royal stuff. Getting up to the entrance from the nearby car park is a bit of a hike, but it’s through the cute town of Windsor. Ice cream shops every where you turn, old buildings litter the view, and if you look up, you can see different views of Windsor Castle as you make your way up the hills. The entrance is easy enough, especially if you’ve pre-booked (a bit cheaper, too), and the first look as you round the corner of the grounds and castle is awe-inspiring. Just a little way past your first view is where you can pickup an audio tour, included in admission. Not a fan of the old-school over-the-ear headphones, but hopefully, they are cleaned well. The views are beautiful (especially overlooking the town), and the outside of the castle as well as the grounds are masterpieces in their fields. (It would be great to learn about the groundskeepers, but we didn’t see that option anywhere.) The inside of the castle tour is grand and long. There are many rooms, and an option to learn about pretty much all of them. Unless history is your thing, it’s great to be able to pick and choose what information you want to ingest. St. George’s chapel was closed since it was Sunday, but the outside of it is stunning and the carvings intricate. Lots of great photo opportunities, but there are no photos or videos allowed inside the castle. Enjoy!

Windsor Castle is HUGE!! and a must see. Sadly you cannot take photos of the opulent inside. The line up even off season with pre-purchased tickets was quite a long wait. Do not trust Google maps to provide accurate hours. We went on Wednesday and it was closed despite maps saying it was open, and were told to review the Website. They are closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The ticket is a high cost for someone who only has the day to view it, however if you are able to come back ensure you get the photo ID since the ticket will provide admission for an entire year. There are washrooms on site and a cafeteria to have cakes and tea. The staff varied in their friendliness and helpfulness some were considerably impatient with questions and moving people along. It is still a must see. The history is quite incredible to see.

Just an absolutely stunning place with so much history; it felt very special to be there. We went on a very hot day but all indoor areas were kept cool and meant we had a lovely time throughout. There was a lot of people there and it was busy everywhere you went so that would be my only negative but when the castle and experience is so amazing, you can't really complain. We were also lucky enough to see the changing of the guards, which is extremely intimate at Windsor and was something I'll never forget.

Love this castle! When visiting Europe you see a ton of castles but this one has to be my favorite! It's clean, kept up and absolutely beautiful! This was my first visit and I already recommended it to all my friends and family planning trips to London! This is a beautiful must stop!

Windsor Castle the world's oldest and largest Castle was founded by William the conqueror in the 11th century. It is opened to the visitors throughout the year. For visiting the castle visitors are advised to book their tickets on line early in the morning to avoid last minute rush. 39 monarchs have since been lived in the castle so for. The Queen Elizabeth ii have spent most of her private weekends here. A must place to see.

Loved my visit to Windsor Castle. Access to St George’s Chapel was closed however so good excuse to visit again . The visit inside castle was amazing , Queen Victoria’s childhood , the majestic rooms , artwork . Highly recommend the tour inside. Photos inside the castle are prohibited

I was near Windsor for work, and as I had never seen Windsor Castle before, I decided to have a drive over and take a look. Although I didn't arrive until early evening and didn't have the opportunity to go inside, it was still impressive walking around the perimeter. Such a lovely, clean, and tidy area, with plenty of nice shops, and definitely somewhere I shall visit again when I have more time.

Top of the most amazing castles in the world! Not just a castle but a small town in itself, full of history and stunning art pieces, beautifully preserved, everything nicely organised. So much worth more than a visit!

Magnificent second home to the Monarch. Toured the State rooms, walking the same route as dignitaries, heads of government, etc. which comprises a very small part of the expansive castle of 484,000 square feet on 13 acres. Again, no photos allowed inside.

Great side trip from London. Nice shopping area outside the castle. Queen Mary's doll house was OK, interesting. The inside of the castle that we saw was gorgeous. Cool to see all the knight crests. Also nice to St. George chapel, and the queen's resting place.

An amazing place to visit. Spent the day there with plenty to see and do. You need to get your spot at the front early to see the changing off the guards as it was very busy when we went. The moat garden is worth a visit and there were some chairs to sit in and chill out. The state rooms are well worth a visit and the dolls house. Altogether an enjoyable day in a lovely place hopefully we will go back again soon 😀 😊

Stunning displays of art, weaponry, and the Queen's various jewels. The castle is huge. My favourite part was the Chapel. Absolutely gorgeous! Many staff were on the grounds to explain facts and point us in the right direction. It was a great historical experience.

Windsor castle was a great place to visit with the whole family. The area is buzzing and quiet popular with tourists. Remember that the queen still resides in this castle hence everyone wants to visit. Make sure that you visit the surrounding area as it’s a lot of nice places to walk and beautiful garden. Lots of restaurants around and boutique shops.

This place is incredible. I never realized how big it was, over 2000 rooms. Photos are not allowed inside, but it's not to be missed. Audio guide is included with admission and really enhances the experience. Loved it, and lucky enough to be here day 1 of the Queen's Jubilee!
