Very well located near Waterloo station, this local coffee shop offers a wide choice of day drinks. They also have a fresh food bar with salty options as well as homemade pastries and desserts! Very tasty overall!

For the price and the atmosphere I was expecting the food to taste really amazing. Sadly I was disappointed. I had the American pancake breakfast and expected fluffy pancakes, well cooked bacon and just good quality fried or for £13.95 for 4 items (pancakes, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes). But the whole thing tasted like it’s been precooked and scooped on my plate. The fact the food came out in 3 minutes should have alerted me to the fact that it was not freshly made. The postage’s were swimming in grease. The pancakes were flat. I guess this place is targeting tourists and passers by, there is no way they are targeting repeat/regular customers because there is no way would I go back there and pay that amount for that quality of food. The atmosphere looks good and you think the food will be as good quality as the space it is in. But no. Especially as there are so many other food places in the same road that sells food cheaper and better quality. Heck, I could have gone McDonalds for better pancakes. And to the greasy spoon on the same road for better quality bacon. All and all it’s a no from me. And I feel like I got a bit conned by the space itself.

This is a really nice place to sit and eat; I loved this place. Their range of healthy salads is absolutely awesome - you can customise them, choosing the meat or fish to go with your salad. If you're into healthy eating, I would recommend stopping by - you wouldn't be disappointed.

Good coffee so far in London probably because the barista is from Italy 🇮🇹😜 There is Japanese soy milk “Bonsoy” available in the cafe which definitely will try next time. Quiche with two kinds of salads was fresh and tasty but if the quiche could be reheated in an oven rather than reheated in a microwave oven, surely it would be better though. Nice ambiance for lunch and work there. Staff were friendly too.

What a fantastic lunch. I hade Peri Peri Chicken with some different salads. The salads were absolutely amazing, I'm not sure I needed the chicken (and I like chicken). The chicken was moist, nicely flavoured without being over powering. There was quite a queue but this moved very quickly. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend, especially the variety of good salads.

Great place to have a full breakfast. A long variety of sweet and salty dishes to choose from and excellent taste and quality. Staff was amazing, friendly and polite, ready to fulfill all our needs. We also left our luggage there for a day (though an app) which was very helpful as well. Definitely recommend it!

3.5 stars. Tables are quite close together so you can’t really have private conversations, queue to order is rather long and then waiting for food to arrive took a fair while too. Some staff were really kind and helpful, others not so much. However, we did go on a Saturday and they were busy. The food was really good, we had the Super Club Sandwich and it was yum, also had a super green smoothie which was nice. I will go back but maybe not on a weekend.

Great place for a morning meeting or catching up with some work over a cup of chai tea latte or fresh squeezed juice. Cheerful service and well proportioned interior. The salads look good! Hope to come back to try them.

A great brunch place near Waterloo. Lots of options for your breakfast whichever way you prefer it. I really liked their Turkish style poached eggs on toast.

Came by chance by this place. Since we were both already hungry and some guests were already in the restaurant, we decided to test it. And we were not disappointed. Food fresh. Palasty. Staff very nice. Locally clean. It's a pity that we have to go back to Vienna today.

Best place in London for breakfast! Staff are very polite and respectful of patrons and the food is just magnificent! Totally worth it, and in Central London! Served by Cintia and Giorgia, lovely people!

Truly fantastic place for brunch. Absolutely delicious and fresh. Coffee was watery not the best nor the worst I’ve had.

Cafeteria style brunch place, no table service. Throw something on a chair to get a table before you go up to the counter or you might not have a place to sit. It's a large seating area and the staff are slow for the big numbers on a Saturday. My coffees and orange juice arrived as I was nearly finished with my breakfast. The food quality was good though it was advertised as sourdough and what arrived was a white bread. There's no salt, pepper or condiments on the tables so ask well in advance if you want it. Coffee is good but come served without sugar.

Good food, breakfast all day available, a giant salad buffet, tea, coffee and a very relaxed and neighbourhood atmosphere, a lot of things can be found at Balance Cafe in Lower Marsh Market in Waterloo. The staff are lovely and helpful. Varied clientele, hip decoration.

Very diverse menu and great food! The to go area looks really nice, but the seating area could use an update to match that cool counter. Although the food was great, the coffee wasn’t as much.

Excellent customer service and food. Popped here after attending Wishmas Experience with my family. The salmon pie was really tasty.

Had a couple of brunches during our stay in London. We tried a veggie English breakfast, some of the salads & a cake. All were delicious. Staff were friendly too. Next time we’re in this area we’ll be back.

Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. It was very busy at 10am on a Sunday, so we queued for 10 mins to order, waited 15 mins for food to arrive and another 10 mins before the drinks arrived. The food was great. Only criticism was my oat latte wasn’t very nice - just a preference on the type of oat milk, but I don’t think this was a nice creamy one like Oatly Barista; it just tasted a bit too oaty for me.

The salads look great, I will be popping back one lunch time. This time round I went for breakfast and went for the eggs Benedict, just a little cold otherwise it was really nice and very filling. Balance is a small walk from Waterloo and worth the walk to have something better than what the station offers. Atmosphere has a nice chill vibe inside, outside seating is on the street not as nice vibe. Overall Balance is well priced for London, welcoming and the salads look great a must place to go if in the area.

We had breakfast here this morning as we were staying at Ruby Lucy hotel a few doors along. The food was lovely - we both had pancakes - but service was a little disappointing. We weren’t told it was counter service when being seated, so wasted ten minutes waiting to be served at our table. My wife wanted to replace the banana with strawberries on her Belgian pancakes, but we still had to pay the extra £1.75, only for her to be given about four strawberries. I’d have also liked a little more maple syrup with my pancakes and bacon.

We fancied a little something sweet after lunch today and this little block of loveliness absolutely hit the spot!! 👏🏻 Firm yet moist with loads of that lemony flavour coming through with each bite… they say Blond(ie)s have more fun and we sure had a lot of fun whilst eating this… (sorry…😏) We love a visit to Balance here at L4T, great coffee, a cool surrounding and a vast selection of interesting and tasty salads followed by sweet options like this Blondie - what more could you ask for?! 🤩👏🏻 Our fave things: The sheer variety and quality of the food being offered.. something for everyone here! 📍🚇| Just a 5-7 min walk from Waterloo train/tube station

Many breakfast, brunch and sandwiches options, savoury or sweet. The Spanish Muffin brunch was very good, especially the chorizo. The vibe is ok, a small brunch place that group of friends or a family can visit. Friendly and quick customer service. Price was ok, maybe some plates a bit overpriced. Overall, we had a good experience

One word "AMAZING!" As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with a smile and a welcome. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is AMAZING and presentation and quality of the food is AMAZING! YOU MUST VISIT HERE!

Incredibly busy and vibrant restaurant. We had brunch and drinks. Bit pricey but food is cooked fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful although it took us a while to realise it wasn't table service, you have to order at the till and I had to get up and find some menus. So many choices of dishes...we will be back.
