I love Leicester Square! It is a great place to go when you're looking for somewhere new to hang out, but it should be advised that it is not an empty square. With so many tourists walking around, the area gets crowded and becomes difficult to navigate. That being said, the location is perfect for those who are looking for someplace new to visit.

Brilliant place, so vibrant, always so much happening, from the Xmas market at centre, cinemas, restaurants, bars. Also lots of street performers and artists make it interesting. Just watch out for pickpockets. Also can get a bit rough at night, really need a police presence.

Haven't been here in over ten years and decided to take the kids sight seeing. I was thrilled to see that in times like this the place is still buzzing, the kids enjoyed their time, the only issue I forgot my bank card in the car and when it was time to eat we could not because everywhere was CASHLESS even the street food stalls and they will not take my cash, so the kids started to get grumpy and that cut the trip short.

Leicester Square, right in the heart of London’s West End, is like a vibrant cultural hub. Here’s what you’ll find: Theater and Movies: Imagine a place where theaters and cinemas come alive. Leicester Square is that spot! If you are lucky to catch premiere night, you may actually get to see your movie stars. As you stroll through the Square garden, you’ll see cool sculptures honoring famous movies. Street Performers: Constant flow of street artists playing music or drawing pictures. They add a dash of excitement to the square. Nearby Gems: Just around the corner, visit the National Gallery (amazing and free art) or explore Chinatown endless eastern food offerings. Shopping Fun: Lego and M&M are huge favorites for families. Food Adventures: As the sun sets, food stalls pop up. Grab a quick bite or sit down for a nice meal. The buzz of people chatting and forks clinking makes it feel alive! So, when you’re in London, swing by Leicester Square. It can be too busy but it is always fun.

Recommended for locals and tourists alike. If ever you're in the City of London, this is one area you should visit. There are many shops and restaurants to to choose from. Also the scenery is very captivating and there are usually a large crowd on the weekends. Ensure to pick up a gift for families or friends before departing. There are many streets performers in this square as well, from solo singers to group bands; much entertainment for your enjoyment.

This is one of the busiest commercial area in London. You tourist would love to come here. There are lots of shopping stores here, sneakers, souvenirs, fancy restaurants, etc. It is also located near to Regent street, one of the most luxurious shopping district in London. You might find several street performers here. It can be quite sight to enjoy. Hundreds of visitors were seen enjoying this live shows here. However please be careful. Last time we came here, my wife's money was stolen by pickpocket when we enjoy the live street performer in the square. I think there is group of thief working here, they can easily spot on tourist that were less alert to the situation. You better prepared yourself and put your attention on highest alert when come in here

There are many street musicians that play music which you will definitely love especially on weekends Should you go there try to go both at night and morning.

I loved it and getting to see the status of different characters from Clifford the big red dog to Harry potter and others I didn't really get time to see them all as it was a passing visit going on to somewhere else but really wanted to stop here as it was on my list of things to see. I'm glad I got to see this place and hope to come back soon and see the rest of the status here and hopefully when it's a bit quieter as the square was really busy when I visited.

The square was originally a gentrified residential area. Several major theatres were built in the 19th century, which were converted to cinemas towards the middle of the next. Leicester Square holds a number of nationally significant cinemas such as the Odeon Leicester Square which are often used for film premieres. The square has always had a park in its center.

I was told the British love Xmas but, I must say, they really REALLY love. And I'm. Here. For it. Leicester square is just one area that keeps Xmas decorations up past the 1st week of January. I totally approve. LS is near covent garden which is a very happening area, much like time square in NYC. This is a small square that managed to fit a whole Christmas market there. I can imagine when/ if it ever snowed, it would look that much more magical. Cool place.

I had a shoot there yesterday and it was awesome. Leicester Square is so crowded with loads of activities and shops but I totally love it. Everyone was busy taking pictures and videos because of how beautiful and colourful the entire place looked. It was a lovely place to visit and I'm sure going there again soon for more pictures and videos.

Nice park to hang out. Location is very busy, especially on the weekend but I also assume that most of the evenings throughout the week. The park has these cute metal sculptures of familiar characters we know and love. Near is M&M store, Lego store, food places, cinemas etc. Also many street artists perform in this area, we saw beatboxing, singing and mimes.

Was nice and quiet on this Saturday evening. Sat in Cinema 4 which was a hard one to gauge when booking tickets/seats - so have added photos to help future people. We sat in front row, which was yes, a bit too close. Noisy air duct right at face level under screen, although my girlfriend didn't notice it.

Funky square in the middle of London on which you never know what to expect. Lots of premieres in the cinemas surrounding it, so you might be able to see a celebrity or two. Can get very busy and always a hot spot for pickpockets in the city, so please watch your bags and valuables.

It's worth visiting place. If you are lucky at night you will find the caricature artists that for 20£ can create a nice memory for you to have from your trip...also the fast food stores in the area are open after 2300 so while almost every food place is closed you can go there to eat. The cinemas are also worth it and In general i believe its a pretty safe place to visit

This is an ideal place to stop and have a bite to eat or relax and take in the sights and sounds. There are plenty of shops and places to eat or drink and on the Saturday I visited, there were some amazing street performers to see. On the seats around the square, there are some interesting works of art….a couple of which, I have attached photo’s of !.I would recommend a visit, if you are in the area, there is plenty to see and it is in easy reach of the tube station and other attractions.

Best place to visit during summer. Plenty of street artists performing on weekends. Leicester Square tube station is near by. One of the main attractions is premier movie theatre. Many famous stores and places like M&M world, lego store, National Portrait Gallery, casinos and china town to visit in this area. Most of all type of food stores are available. All age of person can enjoy this place. Due to covid garden was closed but now its open for public.

My First visit to Dolby Cinema The image: Image quality was amazing, colours and dynamic range just blew my mind. However, the screen size was tiny for such a huge auditorium. I sat at row F, and even there it was not covering much of my sight field. The sound: The quality of sound was really impressive. Mids and highs were detailed and crisp and the rumbling base shook my seat. The whole sound spectrum was well balanced, but over all sound level was a little bit too loud for me. As I was sitting at row F (stalls) there were no overhead speakers so I missed half of Dolby Atmos experience. The sad truth is that you have to choose between full Dolby Atmos experience or larger image. This time a chose a bigger image. Another very unpleasant thing was room acoustics. I have no complaints about loud moments, but dialogues didn’t sound so good. I believe that the reverberation time of the room was too long resulting in the sound of dialogue bouncing and unpleasantly echoing around the room. Maybe wouldn’t be so bad if you were sitting somewhere higher. Seating: Recliner seat was very comfortable, no complaints about it. The last thing I wanted to mention is a bloody noisy fan somewhere behind the screen. It was very audible during the quiet moments. In conclusion I want to say that it is not the best screen in the world but I would go there at least one more time. But this time I would get different seats. Would I recommend it? I’d say yes - go at least once to see and to hear it for yourself. There are pros and cons and it will depend on preferences. For now BFI Imax remains my favourite screen in the UK.

My first experience of the Dolby cinema at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square London. Saw Free Guy. Very entertaining film. As for the Dolby Experience I'm not convinced that it is worth the extra cost and time going into central London. If you are like me and have a Dolby Atmos home system with a 65inch 4k telly then quite frankly I would recommend waiting for any film you want to see to be streamed or released on disc.

There was a Christmas market set up when we visited which was great. It brought good energy to the area and created a good vibe. Whilst the market was not nearly as good as ones in Euope it still was great to browse and get into the Christmas spirit. It's a busy play so be careful of pick pickets in the area as they are around

The views are amazing, so as the shops with the likes of, TWG, Lego, M&Ms etc. The queues however, are crazy. takes hours to get into any popular shop and getting from one end to another can take over an hour. it’s just too crowded this time of year.

Great touristy area, if that is your thing. The area around it is also great to explore and spend a bit of money in all the little restaurants. Expect to pay a little more, than further afield. Just north of Leicester Square towards Tottenham Court Road Station there is a wonderful digital display of butterflies, free of charge.

One of my favourite places in London. It’s a perfect place to have a bite, sit and enjoy the amazing artists around the square. Beautiful sculptures and an impressive positive vibrant atmosphere. Lovely place to be. It's like a hub that leads to any other part of central London. If you're lost, just find your way back to the square. Very easy and has an underground station. There is the China town, Lego, MandM and many restaurants.

We just saw a play at the Garrick and had to visit Leicester Square! It’s such a fun place with plenty to see and listen to. There are 3 cinemas there and street performers. There are also many statues to cinema icons through time, so plenty of selfie opportunities. This place is very busy but doesn’t feel overcrowded, there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, with many Italian, and souvenir shops. Another must visit!

  • 4/5 John G. 6 months ago on Google
I stumbled across this place as I was visiting London and decided to follow my nose. If you want theatre, food, cinema, m&ms and Lego, this is your place. Nice cinema themed statues around the place also.

  • 4/5 mendy g. 5 months ago on Google
Leicester Square is undeniably cool, offering vibrant energy and entertainment. However, the occasional overcrowding detracts from the experience. Still, it remains a must-visit spot with its lively atmosphere and nearby attractions. Four stars reflect the slight inconvenience, but overall, it’s a dynamic and enjoyable destination.

Lovely cinema with decent sized screens. Layout can be a bit confusing and there isn't an escalator for any screen besides Screen 1. All in all very friendly staff, very helpful and hassle free! Definitely a good cinema to watch premiering movies as well as for a day out.

This review is for the main house and the Dolby screen. I have tried many of the new and improved cinemas in central London but the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square is now my official favourite, I loved it... The experience of going to the big screen has been upgraded! Reclining seats, a large screen and impeccable sound. This is where I will choose to see my blockbusters when possible, treat yourself and do the same.

Tucked between the back of the National Gallery, and Soho/Chinatown, it is an iconic place in London, but somewhat underwhelming. Places to visit would include two major cinemas, and a booking office for London show tickets. Today I had lunch next to Rowan Atkinson, he is a bit creepy! When all the work that is going on is finished, it will be a better place to visit .

The Square was closed off for some event. We didn’t get a chance to take a look as the event wasn’t opened when we were here. We came by again at night, but we were passing through looking for a restaurant so didn’t stop. When we finished eating, it was raining so we didn’t come back this way. It looked interesting. It appeared there was only one entrance and exit so not sure if they required tickets to enter.
