Reading the reviews you may think that the club is not so good, but after visiting last weekend I have a completely different opinion. First of all, in the queue I saw the security team gently telling a completely drunk guy going to McDonalds to get better before coming back. The security check is quite exhaustive which is always nice and most of the process was quite fast. Inside the club, I can tell the Sound and lighting system in both stages are amazing. The bar is quite expensive (what is not in London) but is fast and friendly. The only 2 things they should improve in my opinion are the toilets (queues could be quite long) and the ventilation in the Back Studio room which is not enough I don't remember sweating that much in club ever ;-)

Probably the best sound system I’ve heard, mad club really cool venue. Must visit if going clubbing in London and always have the best Dnb on. Bouncers can be a bit frisky but expected nowadays in most of London’s clubs. The lines can be massive so if you’re going to an event I’d recommend getting there between 11 and 12 to not be standing outside for a while as the searching is pretty intense and seems to take ages.

It’s pretty obvious that this club was built for a specific capacity of people. I see that to maximise the profit the club management decided to sell more tickets than the capacity allows. This simply leads to an hour long cloakroom queue, blocked exits, not having even one square feet of personal dancing area (because the rooms are absolutely crammed with people). One of my worst rave experiences ever. Never coming here again and telling everyone I know not to go to this club.

Honestly, I used to enjoy this place. But lately it has become insanely overcrowded. I don’t know why they are selling so many more tickets than the capacity of the venue. It takes about 10 minutes to get from the one dance floor to the next. The toilets are overcrowded. You can’t dance properly when there are so many people rubbing up against you.

Guys be careful, make sure your phones aren’t in your pockets. Keep your belongings secure and safe. We had a phone stolen from a front jeans pocket at the start of our night around 2am by the main toilets. Most of the security was unhelpful when we went to report it. Venue was too overcrowded, people bumping into you everywhere, they oversold the venue. The bouncer with an eyepatch was very rude pushing people around and using his size to intimidate people. One lady security guard was nice and told us they would put measures in place as people would leave. Other people also told us they had their phone stolen on the same night. E1 needs to do better and make the environment safer for all. It completely ruined our entire night.

Too many people in so little space, the sound was brutal, very good sound pressure, but in my opinion the last DJ was overrated and the one who had the night was the best, without a doubt the one who did the best session was Richard Ashworth.I expected more Techno from the other DJs and they were too hard dance.

Really nice techno club with amazing visuals and sound system. The only down fall of the club is the crowds gathering around the club. I had my phone stolen by random people loitering around the club couple months back and last weekend my mate got his stolen too, bank cards emptied. Seems like there’s gangs targeting vulnerable people leaving the club. Be careful out there !

Before Friday I had never been to rave or gig before where the organisers so obviously cared absolutely nothing about creating a fun or safe environment and so obviously only cared about selling as many tickets as possible despite the size of the venue. The main corridor/concourse is really small and maybe 200 people were moving through it from all directions at one point. Genuinely dangerous. Loads of people left early only it was almost impossible to get out because of the bottleneck. The promoters knew exactly what they were doing though.

Security and staff are incredibly nasty and hostile. My friends and I are so chill and respectful and they still treated us like dirt and spoke to us so aggressively and disrespectfully for no reason. Most of the people attending were kids who were too high and didn’t know how to handle themselves. Fights, aggression, no manners, people bumping into you all the time with no regard for anyone. A place for people with bad taste and little knowledge of the London party scene. Like the tiger tiger of rave clubs. Music and sound system low quality. The rooms had this thick stank like vomit and alcohol. Will never be going back under any circumstances. There are soooo many sick venues with amazing staff in London, don’t waste your time on this place.

Went clubbing there twice. Didn't know they are selling food. It wasn't available at the time. Friendly staff. Spacious dancefloor, too slipery when walking in heels though! I really enjoyed the lighting in the main room. I like the fact that there are different rooms playing different genres of music. Toilets were clean considering it's a club. Drinks are expensive though! £16 for a double rhum and coke. But alcohol is quality.

Music was good, but if you go you better have an old Nokia phone otherwise it’s gonna get stolen. I didn’t think it was as bad as other reviews said it was until on the night I went a lot of people reported their phones stolen. Also, fire that fat bodyguard with an eye patch, I don’t know what his issue is but he’s extremely rude to the customers and does absolutely nothing to stop people’s phones being stolen. He’s doing the wrong job

Great place for London night out! Always many people, proper music and amazing vibe!! Yes, it is pricey and yes, security is tough- because they do their job properly! Being a girl and feeling safe at the night club - its very important and Thats what I get from this place and their staff or security!

Bought a vip ticket for Cera khin event and the backstage was packed as they oversell the vip tickets. I was standing on the stairs with vip ticket! Also a guy assaulted me and a few of the girls by pulling our hair and hugging us without consent and security did nothing when reported. People were passing out and falling sick in the middle of the dance floor because there was no water available near the stage and the bar was having a long queue. It was a pure mess which is really sad for a great venue like E1.

Been there 3 times overall, each time for private events, for which one would expect a more caring staff. Each time (including yesterday) the security staff was particularly rude/tense, including to girls, for no apparent reason. Similar experience with bartenders who couldn't care less about customers and seemed to only think about cashing in. One of the guests spilled his drink at the bar while just being served. It would have been good etiquette to serve another one for no extra charge ... guess what happened ? Consistently disappointing experience, solely because of staff attitudes.

One of the best club in London! Definitely a location to spend a night in when visiting this city. Been living in London for a while now and I always been going to this club with friends and always had great fun, lightning and the sound system are fantastic and staff at the bar is lovely and quick as well. Security is tough (as it should be) but very respectful and helpful, as a woman I never felt in danger when spending the night here!

Went to a night that was completely oversold and overcrowded. There is no management of capacity in the rooms to a point where you feel completely unsafe and are unable to move. Recipe for disaster where people are going to be seriously injured, as there are no safety precautions in case of an emergency. Even the staff at the bar were looking worried at how packed people were in the main room. Wouldn't recommend

Queue was at least 3000 people for a 1000 capacity venue. Stayed for 30 minutes at the back of the queue and didn't make it to the end of the first road - there were still two roads to follow after this. £27 pounds wasted to get an early bird ticket but saved the cost of 3 hours of my life by leaving the queue early. Avoid at all costs.

I started going to E1 in June 2023 and since then I go every Friday, Saturday and Sunday when they open. I've already made friends with all the staff, they're all kind, the reception staff, cloakroom, bar, security guards are excellent, I can say that I love each and every one of them at that night club. I really made a lot of friends there, I never had a problem with anyone and often my friends can't go so I go alone and enjoy the music calmly and without fear. I've taken several friends with me and now they go whenever they can. I'm honestly going crazy waiting for the weekend to come back to E1. Thank you E1 and all your staff for such good experiences and excellent music.

The bouncers who are not police, will touch up your genitals. The last time I was felt up like that was when I visited my girlfriend. Pretty shocking considering I have never had that happen anywhere else. Even so, its possible to have fun here if the event didnt sell enough tickets to be overcrowded. But the security is rude and treats everyone like they are bad people just for coming here. Most people just want to dance to good music with friends. Why work in a place where u hate the kinda people that go? Perhaps it's all a power trip complex because they are deeply unhappy within themselves.. Even the bar staff isn't that friendly or welcoming. Whole thing puts bad vibes in the air.

My favourite venue in London. Lights and sound system are just insane. Bar staff and security are always super nice and helpful, not rude as in many other venues around the city. Just 100/10, I spend every weekend here and never was disappointed. Especially grateful for last events with I Hate Models and Denis Horvat!!!

Spent my NYD in E1. Wonderful start of the year, great venue, music, sound/ visual quality. Most importantly everyone who works there were the kindest I have ever encountered. Thank you Nikki from Security, you really made my day! She took me in from the entrance and stored some of my food as it’s not allowed to bring inside; kept in the fridge and even remembered to return to me when I left the party; even made sure I got my transportation and waited for the right uber. 10/10 i would come back just because of Nikki! She deserves a big big praise 🙌🏼

Very bad experience. Music was very loud and extremely repetitive. I would suggest a change of DJ would be in order. Some of the staff were lovely, others were a bit cheeky. The price of alcohol was a disgrace. After paying 20 pound to listen to glorified white noise I thought at the very least the drinks would be somewhat reasonable. £9 for a vodka soda! My friend suggested we go here, I have since advised him to get his head checked!

Sound system and lighting are great, talent was pretty good... just came on a random Saturday night so I didn't know the producers/dj's. Staff overall was pretty friendly and the bartenders were really quick. Security lady was absolutely awesome and actually had a really nice conversation with me. One of the guy's at coat check was rude as all hell though. I was trying to put my sweatshirt in the pocket of my coat before checking it. It was 3.50 just to check one coat and he wanted me to pay double for the sweatshirt even though it would have really easily fit in my jacket pocket... so that irked me. I know clubs are struggling to find adequate sources of revenue to support their staff and keep afloat, and if that's why E1 is being so strict about their coat check, I understand. However, I would have been happy to pay extra for both if the worker wasn't as dismissive and rude. I just ended up carrying the sweatshirt around with me, if you're curious.

Always a good night out, check what type of event is on because they do techno, dnb, house, etc, on different nights. The drinks are quite expensive and the searches you have to go through before getting in are long but once you are in, the vibez are good, the music is good, the people r all good energy. They have medical staff on site just in case anyone falls ILL which is quite good and helpful. Overall a good night out, me and my mates go there quite a lot.

There is so much to say about this club that I don't even know where to start! Since the moment you arrive the staff makes you feel welcomed and safe, the sound system is incredibly good. You hardly ever have to wait at the bar and they hand you ear plugs for free if they still have. The toilets are always clean and there are at least 3 ladies looking out for you and making sure the toilets are always clean, they also sell lollipops in case of a sugar rush and tampons in case of an unexpected visit. Lastly, the lineups they curate are always the best, you see the Dj's give their best performances at E1 they even ask if they can play longer as I have witnessed this myself. Thank you E1 for always making me feel at home and see you next weekend!

Clubs is not bad, but security is terrible 🤮🤮🤮 They took all of my gums, they touched my genitals to find something . Security is terrible, i had one of those “random check”. Gums are not allowed here, super stupid security organization. But u can get free water on the bar in front of entrance.

This venue was really good and I was actually surprised. I saw reviews that made security sound like animals and the venue being a dump but it was nothing like this at all. It was a busy event and staff were nice and friendly given how busy it was. Security were doing their job but were fast and efficient and I never really had any interaction with them apart from the searches and ID checks. The venue itself was not too bad at all but the only downside was the prices, they were seriously extortionate and extremely expensive. But in some ways this was not a surprise, club prices are generally inflated quite a bit and a club in London would be expensive but the trip into London is not something I do very often so it was a very nice change. People were friendly (I guess a light up jacket grabs attention) which was nice on a night out so it was a great atmosphere.

Great place, great party!!! I went there last week with a group of friends and we had an absolute blast. Very professional security staff who made us feel safe during the whole evening. Drinks were a bit pricey, but it’s London after all.

Visited last night.. Its a fine place, good system but if youre not careful at the bar the bar tender will charge you for a normal drink more, or theyll try upsell you the most expensive ones without even asking if you want premium drinks or not. Its really annoying..

We attended an event last week. Firstly we queued 1 hour and 45 mins in the cold. Security were moving at a snails pace, it was a bad start to the night. It only got worse from there. Drinks were extortionate and tiny!! A single vodka and coke was £9 and it went up from there. There were too many people in there. You was not able to move to dance, it was impossible to enjoy yourself in there. I would not recommend. Save your pennies and go elsewhere. Tobacco docks over the road has been great in the past.

Top club. Despite some of the bad reviews I have failed to find any of them to be true. A proper sound system (if you know where to stand), decent lights and also staff who were very friendly and not at all like some of the reviews have made them out to be. Only thing was drink prices, but it's London so you sort of knew that was going to be the case. Thanks E1.

One of my favourite venues in London. Almost always a lovely atmosphere and great production for a slightly more intimate venue. And also a great selection of different music on offer! However one of the major downsides is the extortionate drink prices. One of the most expensive London club venues for this and even more than the likes of Fabric. Also think it’s ridiculous to not have free water accessible as this should be vital for any nightclub.

E1 Night club is one of the most immersive and warm night life venues I have attended in over 10 years of partying. The sound system is completely bespoke and it feels as if you are about to take off in to another dimension. The dance floor is filled with friendly and vibrant characters and there is no judgement or negativity. I recently visited and there has been an upgrade to the visuals as well! They are really giving the people something back each time. Staff are always very accommodating and helpful too.

Good variety of electronic music in E1, nice people and the overall vibe is fresh and amazing. However I got my phone stolen there and a friend of mine got his jacket, wallet and keys stolen another time. Although the security were super sweet and helpful we didn’t find the management team super effective.

Ticks all the boxes if you're into dance music. Had a great night & would definitely go back.

  • 1/5 Lorence G. 1 year ago on Google
Wouldn't return in a hurry. So many issues with the venue. For example, one of the rooms reserves a disproportionate amount of space for VIPs, meaning that non-VIPs end up totally crammed. Not cool. Also the VIP area doesn't have any lighting or visible signs and it's so dark in there it's easy to stumble into its barriers. Also - there's no seats. Anywhere. You have to sit on the floor, which is completely exhausting. The drinks are terrible and as overpriced as it gets. £3.50 for a water, which was often warm with the bar staff unable to find cold bottles. Security is aggressive. The vibe is generally off. There's a tension that hands in the air. Also the sound quality is pretty poor. Sort it out, E1.

Best line-up in the worst place to dance. The sound system and the lineup were one of the best I ever experienced but the place is not ready to welcome so many people. It’s this kind of place where you don’t feel safe at all. Despite all the security step, camera photo and even some undercover Security guy who try to « sell » you some drugs. And the price are way too much of course

if you bought a free ticket i would recommend getting in the queue at least an hour early! i got free tickets but as the queue was so long we didn’t get in before 11:30 so had to buy tickets, drinks are expensive, some of the security were a bit rude but overall the night was amazing!! was my first event the venue is huge! 1 room for dnb (was great) other room for techno (wasn’t in here much) did get quite overcrowded but wasn’t really a huge problem, would recommend!
