As venues go, the location couldn't be better. Great security on the door and a very nice welcome. We were there a drag bingo event. The show was great, fun interactions and the drinks well made and poured. Would have been great to have had some table service in the bingo... I'd have spent more for sure! Also, the one thing that was a shame was the bar team packing up before the end... Made it feel I shouldn't drink more! Really enjoyable night though and we will be back.

Never had a worse experience with security. avoid at all costs. They took my things with no notice, were aggressive, and made fun of me with their other coworkers. Worst establishment I have ever experienced.

Sadly our night, 01/05/22, was absolutely ruined and we did not get to see Louie Vega DJ. When it was time for Louie Vega to go on, it quickly became clear that something had gone wrong... Security staff were preventing and telling hundreds of people that we could not go into the Club room, because it was fully packed and they would only be letting people in on a, one in, one out, basis. Myself and my partner bought tickets with our hard earned money and were being told we cant see Louie Vega, well as I am sure you can imagine we were not happy. Understandably there was much upset and outrage from many ticket holders and the security staff clearly did not know how to handle the situation. I repeatedly asked to see a manager, but my numerous requests were ignored. It was clear to me and my partner and many others that too many tickets had been sold and now the room was over capacitated. After some time waiting in the corridor we were allowed entry into the Club room, upon entering, the room, was horrendously packed, bursting beyond capacity, overheated people were packed in like sardines and there was no standing room. Myself and my partner were squashed and almost tipping over, it was impossible to get to the bar for water. There was a real lack of consideration and judgment from some of the security staff, no one wanted to listen, or try to find a solution, and the prison guard energy of some of the security staff made us feel unsafe and unsure of where this could go. Then to add insult to injury, we gave our coat ticket to the security staff member who was escorting us, she went to get our coats and returned with two items that were clearly not our coats. We were then held at the cloakroom for literally 15 minutes while the staff tried to locate our coat and jacket. Thankfully my partner had wisely taken a picture of the tickets, so we had some proof, but this did not seem to make it easier for the staff to find our coats. We did eventually get our items back and the security staff member who was with us, I have to say she was very kind and did listen to us and did apologise. I did make a written complaint to the POW manager, but I felt I was dismissed, no empathy or understanding, shown by the person who wrote back to me, and not even an apology! Dreadful customer service!

Very disappointed over all. The sound was rubbish up top. Not enough bar staff, security rude and on a power trip. Landlord also rude and arrogant. The feeling I got was you pay to get in, they rip you off at the bar and once you are having fun and maybe a little drunk you are thrown out. Not the venue for me and definitely should of taken the advice from friend's and saved my money and spent it at another establishment. Won't be returning. But love Brixton

I went here on Friday and would really not recommend. The bouncers were very uptight almost like they don’t want you to go in. I went somewhere else prior to this where I didn’t have to pay and the bouncers were lovely, so I’m not sure why they were this strict. After buying a ticket on the door, there is no re-entry even if I spoke to them before going in highlighting that I would need to come out and get something from someone, when the time came once again the bouncers took on a very rude approach when speaking to me, didn’t let me leave and whilst they were saying no re-entry I saw them let someone else in from the side. My overall experience would’ve been much better had I not been treated like an inmate. Especially considering I’m paying for the whole experience I definitely think they could do better

I hosted my birthday party here (private hire) and myself and the guests had the best day ever! The booking process was smooth, they venue were so helpful and gave me so much help and information. The venue itself is so good, has a great sound system and lights. The security and staff are so lovely and friendly, they made the night as special as possible. Perfect venue for outdoor/summer parties. I highly recommend this venue !!!

One of the worst experience ever. The venue is nice but the security is arrogant, unprofessional, confrontational. The bouncers seem to enjoy threating customers, having no good manners at all. Their presence is not discreet and to some extent they force client to leave earlier since they make the place very unpleasant, confronting people for no reason. I have been there with some friends and we really did not feel welcomed there. I saw people being thrown out from the club for no reason, I have been followed by a member of the security in the bathroom just because he wanted to be sure I was not taking drugs or other stuff. Moreover, privacy is violated since they scan IDs without providing information on how they guarantee the security of the personal data, for how long they will store the data and other basic measures. The Prince of Disgrace.

Decent music and club layout, but the bouncers were really rude, impolite and aggressive, overheard one swearing about a group of us who were there. Will not be returning, as made me feel uncomfortable. That aside, prices were really high, but hey, it’s London…

awful experience for a friends birthday. incompetent, rude security staff who ignored our concerns and made personal, insulting comments to multiple members of our party. did not want to reason, repeatedly called us aggressive when it was in fact their staff members raising their voices and coming at us? will try and get you to pay two entry fees if you step out of the venue for more than 10 mins. been here in the past with no issues but this occasion was indicative of new management or new security who simply think they are better than their revellers who keep them in business? shocking. would give 0 stars if I could. avoid at all costs if you’re in Brixton, save your money and avoid the hassle.

Fun, young crowd, and good music depending on the DJs. Rooftop area and dance spaces on 3 levels. I don’t think I’ll go again as it was a very young crowd but it was enjoyable the night that I was there. Last minute ticket: £20

This place is a disgrace, if you want to keep your dignity and be treated like a person and not a commodity. Want photo id which it then puts on a computer system! Avoid if you dont want be slave to these rules. Imagine what they could do with your personal information like driving licence number and Passport numbers? What are the implications under Data protection laws? Especially when you booked the tickets using your email etc. Enslavement of the people to the Babylon ways.

awful security, extremely rude and condescending. Treated us like we were children without us doing anything wrong. They literally told me not to talk back when he told me not to sit down in the corridor but I was just standing and told him so. How is this talking back? ALL bouncers we’re EXTREMELY rude and the only nice people were the bartenders and the lady tending the upper floor ladies’ bathroom. I understand it might be frustrating to be working at a club on a Saturday when people are drunk, but taking out your frustration on random people is extremely disrespectful. ALSO whenever they were trying to push the crowd (both inside and outside) the MALE SECURITY grabbed our bums in MULTIPLE occasions DISGUSTING AVOID AVOID AVOID

I went here on a Saturday night, it wasn't too busy. I immediately found the bar staff very rude and not pleasant to talk to at all. Following this, I had a suspicion that my drink had been spiked and I am very hypervigilant regarding this. I approached the bar staff regarding this (including the manager) and they didn't care in the slightest, they refused to use their drink testing kit as they said it's too expensive. I asked them what their safeguarding policy is for spiking and they just advised me to buy another drink. I felt very upset with the encounter and thought it could've been dealt with, with a lot more care. Myself and friends definitely won't be returning.

We’ve been to this pub and never been having a such horrible experience. The bouncers are really rude and arrogant and racist, as a minority we’ve never been traded like that. I will 100% not recommend this pub as a right place to go 🥲

Came here for breakfast on Saturday morning. It's still quiet and lovely great for large groups, service was very good and fast. Breakfast was decent and big , really liked the bread. Friday and Saturday evening soul2samba reggae 2 rock night looks interesting, will check that out next time! I've been to the roof top bar for a dub step night before , it was a bit grubby but I had an amazing time. I would rate it 4 stars for night outs.

Can’t believe how rude the secularity is !!! They are so miserable and completely not helpful. The ladies toilet bouncer especially was on another level. Me and my friend went and got kicked out immediately after for NO REASON, she did not give us a reason when I asked why and then spoke to 3 other bouncers to ask for a reason, again nothing, luckily all this is caught on their cameras so when I file a formal complaint the evidence is there. The bouncer was so aggressive for no reason and treated us so badly after we had just paid £30 to get in. I felt so helpless as I felt attacked by all the security and I wasted my breath asking and explaining the situation to three other bouncers for no reason as none said nor did anything. The club itself seemed like a freshers venue so if you’re above 18 and have self respect I advice to find somewhere better with more helpful service !

Great venue with amazing terrace! Attended for Brixton Disco Festival and had a lit time! First dsco event ever went down a treat! With the reasonably priced drinks and full house gospel choir smashing their show, Saturday night was one for the books!

Love the layout of this club, particularly the rooftop part! Went to an event on a Friday night and was so pleased with how friendly and welcoming all the staff and security were. Made myself & my friends feel super comfortable and help us enjoy our night more. Only thing is drinks are a bit pricy!

The security staff were good, felt safe, and they were amicable, the atmosphere & music were generally okay and the drinks were a decent price. It wasn't completely packed which was fine but overall, we didn't have the greatest of experiences. Some of the staff on the stage & people around made our group feel a little out of place or creeped out, staring at the girls, and the crowd although mostly chilled seemed to be there just to idle around. Then there was also a fuse that blew which was unfortunate and it took a long time to figure out what was happening. We just went to the terrace which was a chilled spot, and then what felt like 30 or so minutes they opened another room to continue the night. By then though, everyone just wanted to go home.

Disgusting service. No respect for guests. I ordered wine. The staff came to my table empty-handed and told me to go to the bar and pick up glasses and a bottle of wine myself. I had to go back and forth twice to pick up my order at this time the staff stood and looked at it. Really?!

We held our friend's hendo here and it was brilliant! We had a great seating area up on the top terrace (handily next to the bar). The security staff were super friendly, and a BIG shout out to Gary (manager) and Nick from Shabba Party for being fantastic!! The drinks were reasonably priced and there was a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

The roof top bar was a fantastic place to party on my sister’s hen do. It has a brilliant holiday vibe, as most of it is outside. We arrived quite early and had a private area, well worth investing in. Perfect for a group of hens! All the staff were really friendly including Gary the manager. As expected the venue was nice and chilled early on, but soon the dance floor was heaving! The DJs were on point, we had such a fun night, thanks to promoter Nick from Shabba Party!

The place was a gem! The bartenders were really friendly and quick, didn't have to wait long for my drinks. The security guards were appropriate. I always have a good time every time I come to POW. It was a nice venue and it got all you need and reasonable prices. I also felt very safe in the place, the security is always around and also the staff members are there when you need them.

Very nice club with good view of the stage from any point (this was the setting on the 1st floor for "Soul Stripped Sessions", super showcase of female soulful singer songwriters). Also pretty clean venue and discreet security staff. Note: food&liquids from outside are not permitted.

Rude security staff but this is a consequence of rude young people acting like primitives in the first place. People need to calm down, drink less and enjoy more. Two hours there were enough to never step on it ever again. Two hours of being pushed, kicked, stepped on so at some point I had to grow a pair and do the same to offending drunks. Sorry mate, eat or be eaten.

Staff are great.... Food not so much, tiny burger - soggy and dripping with fat. All the food was in boxes / no plates. The venue itself is pleasant with cool music and friendly staff (bartenders and security) Overall 2/5 because of the food.

Would just like to start with saying what an amazing experience today was! Let’s start with queuing at the door in the pouring rain and Deon gave us an umbrella. Next we were greeted by Kat who served us throughout the day, with a smile on her face and was just fabulous. Big shout out to everyone else that made our day, Erol, Savannah, Ishmail, Cameron, Lara and Yvonne and Alex. We’ll be back, the best brunch I’ve done in London! Love Paige and Patrycja xoxo

I recently attended an event here that had amazing security and staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe and well taken care of. The security team was highly visible and professional, ensuring that everyone who entered the venue was authorized to be there. They also conducted thorough bag checks and ID checks, which gave me peace of mind knowing that no unauthorized items were brought inside. The staff at the venue were equally impressive. They were friendly, helpful, and always available to answer any questions or concerns. They went above and beyond to make sure that everyone had a great experience, from providing directions to the nearest restroom to helping guests find their seats. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the security and staff at this venue. They truly made the event a success and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a safe and enjoyable experience.
