Happy Friday dear people! 🤗 Weekend is here are you excited? I sure am! Today, I had my spa appointment at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and decided to give a try to some food. Mandarin Bar was my first choice. As you might expected from me, I ordered my dessert first. 😂 They have one desert it is a chocolate cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. It’s freshly baked and it was delicious. Had macchiato as well and the coffee was nicely done. After that had some snacks. Caesar salad with prawns was great. Prawns were nicely grilled and soft. The two pieces of anchovies you see, were amazing and actually smoked! I don’t love anchovies and oh boy was I nicely surprised how delicious they were! You must try it! Korean chicken was not that good, and it was missing something and some of the pieces were overcooked so the crispness you could not enjoy and eat it frankly. Needs more seasoning with the sauce. Korean chicken is recognized because of the sauce and crispness.The chips that I was so excited about did not meet my satisfaction. Crispy but no taste! You need to fix that. The mushroom ketchup sounded amazing and different to me, but that did not happened. No mushroom taste at all. Needs improvement and we know how delicious mushrooms can be! My fave were tuna tacos. Fresh with sesame seeds on top. Just keep in mind they are very small. You get four pieces. My drink called Yang was very nice, and chips and nuts were complementary, interestingly seasoned and went well with the drink. Customer service on point! Nice atmosphere too.

We had a couple drinks here prior to our Christmas lunch at the restaurant and one more drink each after the lunch. Staff are friendly and welcoming with smiles. Salty truffle flavoured mixed nuts and green olives are served with our cocktails. The bar was very packed for Christmas Day and the noise level was high. Overall, lychee Martini and classic negorni were delicious.

Returning after 8 months with a disappointed Old Fashioned Cocktail. This time my beverage ranked very high. Service was excellent, drink improved dramatically. Enjoyed my Sunday evening. Thank you

The staff we very rude on entering. I’ve lived in Asia for many years and ordered in Cantonese/Mandarin where possible. The service didn’t improve. They tried to tell me all my dishes would come at once (starters and main) but I refused. The soup was great. The main dish was so overpowered with ginger it was terrible. Don’t go there. (And yes they charge a service fee as others have indicated). Avoid avoid avoid

Service is always with a smile and as bar lounge should be you are left to chill, rather than bombarded with "how is everything". However this bar is only good for chilled drink, food is an epic failure. Club sandwich is probably the most signature dish in any bar lounge. How you can't get it right is a mystery. Especially when you charge nearly £30 for it. The filling is bland, but the most shocking thing is the bread, which can only be compared to a saver value slice. Either reduce you price to £7, or vastly improve your offer. Even if you get this spot on, £30 valuation is only fools price.

Having spent the day in Knightsbridge with a friend, we decided to sit down for cocktails at the Mandarin Oriental. The place is stylish and nicely decorated, as you’d expect from a 5-star establishment. The staff are friendly, kind and attentive, and helped my friend charge her phone after she forgot to bring her cable with her. We very much enjoyed our cocktails and the general ambiance. Highly recommended.

Brilliant service and top-notch drinks. One of the few places post-covid that have kept up their high standards in both service and quality of drinks. Both standard cocktails and the signature cocktails are prepared by experts. Worth every penny.

Ashlin was amazing! I came to the bar with a friend of mine from America and we had a wonderful time because of Ashlin. He was amazing, professional and extremely welcoming.

Very beautiful hotel! I came from Atlanta to visit and went to the bar for wine. Ashlin was absolutely amazing! Top tier service and he was very amicable and knowledgeable about the hotel and the wine! If you’re there stop by the bar!

Highly attentive and friendly service, wonderful cocktails and great champagne selection, and pleasant decor, I definitely enjoyed myself. My only complaint is that the atmosphere seemed a little touristy/commercial.

Not overly impressed long time to get served and seemed to be preferential service to certain groups

Cocktail menu was a bit limited - wish they offered more options, or at least listed the classics (although the bartender can probably make those upon request). Otherwise a nice bar

This is a very quiet bar whuch offers lovely cocktails. It is quite dark which some people would like. Personally I feel that the blue bar at the dorchester is better but it can difficult at time to be able to get a drink there. I don't feel you would have same issue here. Compared to all other establishments in this hotel this one falls slightly short. I say this because I do feel they need to do something with the decor. The service was exceptional. My cocktail was fun even though small. I cannot remember the name but it was one of their signatures. It did come with the drama (as pictures). I would recommend a signature of the rest because there is a bit more dramatic flair.

Had my birthday party here - it was a wonderful experience. Relaxed, tasteful atmosphere, really well balanced cocktails, delicious snacks and exceptional service. Would not hesitate to bring friends here again.
