A beautiful national trust park in the heart of Morden. I visit this fairly often as it's within walking distance from where i live, which is around 3 miles. There are good bus links to Morden from Sutton but i just prefer to walk. Does tend to get very busy at weekends so i prefer to visit during the week. Has a garden centre and cafe too. Highly recommend. Visit the rose garden and the lovely wetlands board walk. 😀

This is a wonderful venue which is now also being used for poetry readings. Such a long history. A perfect place for a poetry reading.

It's amazing what little gems are hiding in a park. Yes the stable gallery is free and open to all. It's quaint, original and very well kept. A must see for all the family, especially if you have children and want to see father Christmas

Lovely place for afternoon tea. They are only serving reduced menu at the moment. How ever there is another cafe nearer the entrance of Morden Hall Park. Very quiet which was nice for a Sunday afternoon, considering the park was busy.

The Stable Yard has a second hand bookshop, with an excellent selection of books at good prices, all sold in aid of the National Trust. Well worth a visit for readers and collectors.

Always a delight to visit here, Morden Hall Park and the National Trust garden centre. It doesn't matter what time of year, a walk through the grounds and exploring the board walk brings another adventure. This time we watched a heron fishing at very close quarters. A privilege. Back to the Stable Yard for refreshments and delicious ice-cream... Perfect 😊

It's a beautiful place to visit all year round and has lovely walks all around the park. We visited the SY cafe, it was good, but they had run out of a few things, but no fault of the person serving, as he was the only one there and was rushed off his feet!

Lovely spot to bring the kids. Some walking paths can be difficult with a buggy or wheel chair (a few steep curved bridges to cross). 2 cafes and a garden/gift shop. The second-hand bookshop is worth a visit.

Ideally located for a morning coffee or patisserie. Both inside & outdoor seating available. Good selection of light lunches. Some 20 metres away, there's a good quality shop selling mainly NT products

Good coffee and cheese scones. Disappointing Cornish pasty, not fully cooked (hard potato, swede and onion). Always a busy cafe. Lovely staff.

Love this park and having a babycino with my little one is already our tradition. We always have to stop here. Recommend that cafe and visiting the entire park!

In on Sunday 19, evening. We had tried a number of times to phone about the table quiz but got told wrong information about being able to register. Service was poor, the chap with long hair behind the bar must have seemed to think certain customers an inconvenience for him, served with a few grunts. We got told food service finished at 6 due to quiz which was fair enough. Only a few hours later for us to see food being served in the bar did not bother to disrupt the bar staff to have grunt boy boy snarl a bit at us. Tall chap short hair behind the bar was nice, chamged a drink which had been served using a shot measure still containing baileys from before, causing the drink to be cloudy. I have been here before and it has been good just very disappointed this time around.

A pleasant area within Morden Hall Park. The cafe was closed but there is also a second hand bookshop and the picnic area is nearby.

Good place to sit. Second-hand bookshop and toilets but café not functioning. There's a café in the adjoining building next to the garden centre.

A nice place to take the kids, a stream for them to dip their feet, lovely rose bushes, trailing in the grounds with a pagoda, perfect for taking pics.

A favourite. Lovely grounds. Upgraded cafe. Sure there could be more parking spaces and the prices could be lower but it’s special.

  • 4/5 Eric R. 3 years ago on Google
Huge park, really impressive walks to be had. Decent cafe (when it was open), genuinely relaxing and a great way to spend a day. One of the better National trust experiences, the grounds truly make it.

Nice little quaint place for refreshments. Even better eating outside on a sunny day. Obviously with covid they have certain safety rules in place. We had a nice panini and coffee outside. Its a shame that the bookshop next door is closed. Prices are reasonable.

I have been visiting Morden Hall Park for years and when first going there back in early 2000's the Stable yard was not open. It is a welcome addition to this beautiful National Trust Park. With a small visitors centre, cafe and miscellaneous shops...and public conveniences! Clearly during the lockdown things are different but the cafe still serves (take out style) following full social distancing. 👍 The Park is really busy at weekends so be prepared to queue...much quieter during the week. 🙂

Cool spot to grab a coffee. It's currently take-away only but if you can drop in when the quarantine is over you can sit and enjoy the historic surroundings of the old stable yard. There is a small coffee shop and book shop, but the book shop is only open a few hours a week, so call ahead if you are going for this reason.

Lovely spot, great to find an National Trust cafe in a former stable yard in South London, just a steps from a tube station.

Nice place with own character, located in the middle of the NT Morden Hall park. It's nice to have a sit there and rest after long walk in the park. Some interesting events are being organised here, like this one with pumpkin carvings for Halloween. Also a second hand books shop is there where you can find a bargain

What a wonderful gem! I only found out about it this early summer. It is a beautiful gallery space in the newly restored stable yard. There is lots of artwork to see and I am delighted to have been invited to show my photography of water there 2.-16. October 2018
