TOP TIP: bring a board, make friends I love Southbank skate, for many years after threatening to close it down, and the public saying NO, itโ€™s important to pay homage to one of the original skate spots of London. Sheltered from the elements, with river views, one of the best places to skate come rain or shine, 24/7. If you donโ€™t know how to skate, you can simply watch the ones that do.

Itโ€™s a very cool place for skaters and even if you donโ€™t skate itโ€™s fun to go there and watch the experts doin it right The area is surrounded by several cafes and restaurants. Suitable for families and kids.

Amazing place, especially as they opened the new section. Skaters: amazing ledges and really fun park. How ever many pedestrians will be watching you and take pictures. Non-skaters: come and watch us do our tricks and admire skateboarding culture.

Friendly skate park on the south bank popular with tourists. Mostly seems to be kids learning to skateboard and a few pros. If you have a skateboard and wear a hoodie then this is then place to hang out. Also popular graffiti spot. They tried to shut this place down a few years back but now itโ€™s a permanent feature.

Iconic skate location. I am an avid beginner to the world of skateboarding but even so, some of the more seasoned people there were very friendly and wonโ€™t judge you if you make a mistake.

A classic spot... awesome fun. perfect for practicing wall rides (has spot with slight banks into the walls) and a couple nice ledges and stair sets. And an awesome vibe with beginners to advanced skaters using it. With the great sites around the Thames and passers by enjoying it too.

This was a dope skate space underneath a bridge pretty close to the London Eye. It was very active on a Friday night. There is plenty of space to watch the skaters shred from a safe distance. Super salty that I leaned up against a fresh tag that someone did on the wall. Those shorts are ruined.

Great to have something like this for the kids right in centre of London. Fun place to stand and watch people skate boarding. Lots of very talented people here. They tried to develop it into cafes a few years ago but it's great to have some proper culture as already too many cafes.

Not into skating but this place looks fantastic for doing it. Doesn't matter if it rains or not, being covered gives the opportunity to practice it everytime of the day/season. Also, good spot for graffiti work.

Awesome place to skate, everyone minds their business and do their own session ( in case youโ€™re a beginner and donโ€™t want too much attention when skating ). Some people are helpful too, I was scared to drop in, and I got very helpful tips from someone and I successfully did it!

It's a great atmosphere and fun to skate but some of the ramps are a little sketchy to ride up and down but that's what makes it individual but it's also understandable since it is a DIY skatepark

:) sweet skateboard park. Missing are nearby public toilets that are open late. Parks skaters were friendly and didn't mind us watching and standing out of the rain. If younger and or more time to practice we would have joined them :)

This is a great place for skaters. Filled with graffiti not one inch of wall is uncovered. Lights within it make it easy to use during the dark too. A fence around the outside encourages many people to watch, which they do. It's a very popular area. Nearby you have food stalls and restaurants. Right next to the river it's a fascinating backdrop. Plenty of space to get up speed, and even stairs to practice on. Few bring a bmx here but be careful as the roof is low.

This was always a really fun place to walk past. However it was only recently that I stopped and looked at the palce properly. The graffiti and street art on the walls is ever changing and is very colourful and cool. The people who use the space are from all age groups and practice fun and amazing tricks together. It is located in a young fun and exciting part of london. This was also used for a scene in the BBC sherlock holmes which is cool !

Good place for spraying as there is light when it gets dark outside and coverage from rain.

It's an iconic skate spot. It's existed for many years and it is a fixture of the area that I think anybody who wants to skate or watch skaters should definitely find their way toward. I spent about an hour or three myself skating around in 2017. For skaters it's not exactly Mecca, but it's one of the more notable and meaningful sites to put your wheels down. A wide array of skilled skaters come through here regularly so you'll find everything from actual pros on occasion to little kids just learning what it feels like to fall hard on their knees. Either way, the community there seems to be pretty welcoming and open as is normally the case with skating spots, barring the occasion of sideways rain, it's location is protected enough from the elements that even in bad weather you can still have a good time.

Beautiful Grafiti, and a cool vibe while being right next to the river. A nice place to stop by during the riverside walk and check out people doing tricks and falling :D

Love watching skateboarding. Seeing younger kids finding their way next to older guys filming difficult tricks is really cool. Entire park is covered in graffiti. No cost, no tickets, no wait. Just walk up to the railing and hang out.

i came here yesterday to watch the skaters and they were very good. there is a great atmosphere in the nearby stalls/bars with music and drinks. not much place to just sit and watch them though. it is also right near the river thames so you could also look at the water when you are there.
