It was nice experience at the Mumbai Square restaurant. We ordered mixed veg & non-veg items. We like Paneer tikka, Dahi Vada and butter chicken more. We went for lunch on Sunday. The atmosphere was good. It took a lot of time to deliver the food as we were the only ones in the restaurant. One thing not like is the lady (staff) was always behind us which was making us uncomfortable. Food was good.

Great food! Great service! Can't believe I haven't been earlier! Authentic, spicy and massive range of curries. Very friendly staff. Very considerate of allergies and dietary requirements. Nicely located near Liverpool Street Station. Affordable meal and great setting. Thank you Ayo and Niaz.

We had a delicious dinner here tonight. The lamb biryani was delightful! It was full of flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The garlic naan was also really tasty. My husband had the chicken cobra naga and loved it—the spice was great! The service was quick and attentive. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

Located in East London, this restaurant offers an exceptional culinary experience that combines authentic flavors with a charming ambiance. The menu boasts a delectable selection of dishes, including the flavorful garlic chicken, Chicken and lamb tikka, the tantalizing anchari ghost, the diverse Mumbai mix platter, and the delightful prawn and fish curries best enjoyed with garlic naan. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by an inviting and sophisticated setting that's perfect for special occasions or intimate dinners. If you are looking for a memorable gathering with friends, the ambiance sets the perfect tone. The friendly and helpful staff, like Ahmed bhai and Abhaya, further elevates the dining experience. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness contribute to a seamless and enjoyable visit. Their knowledge about the menu and willingness to assist in recommendations or special requests enhance the overall satisfaction of diners. Overall a very good experience

If you like real authentic Indian food please avoid this restaurant. Ordered palak paneer and it was bland. The biryani served with bland curry and raita. I wouldn’t recommend it. Place is also run down and needs fixing. Do serve alcohol.

Food was ok but portion on the small side. You can find other indian restaurants in the area. Biggest problem was rude owner which made it the worst service I have received.

Amazing place to enjoy a curry night, food is really flavoursome & with a perfect blend of spice, this has been my go to Indian since I've move to London. Staff are really helpful in making you choose the right curry you want along with the extra side dishes. Really nice atmosphere & all the food is halal. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

Great quality food at a great price and great ambience. Only thing that could improve is service at times. But over all recommended

Excellent service and food. The butter chicken is my favourite but all the dishes on the menu are first class. Great atmosphere and all staff friendly and welcoming.

Very good food and super friendly family business. Remeber - in Portigal the best food is also served in more simple styled taverns without any shishi :-)

Been there last night with my team members, * restaurant ambiance was excellent and spacious seating. * the only food everyone liked was prawn puri * food quantity was less but it’s bit expensive - we ordered chicken biryani, prawn biriyani & pulao rice. * i will not try pani puri anymore - all masalas were added in water itself which I didn’t liked * they too longer time to deliver food - we order around 7:50 pm and food was delivered by 8:30 pm * container was hot but the food was cold it clearly says served food was oven heated and not fresh. * overall if you’re an Indian food lover then I won’t recommend this restaurant.

Staff and restaurant manager was very helpful and spent time suggesting the food and also enquiring about the food quality and taste. The food was bit off the mark. We had Naga Chicken, Nan’s and Biryani. Naga chicken felt spicy but the spiciness was bit uncooked, Biryani was like Tava pulav with chicken pieces. But the Nan’s were good. Overall nice experience with good staff and atmosphere but food needs to add more value.

There was about 20 of us wanted to go dinner after a football match in Aldgate, near to Liverpool street, we always go pass mumbai square and never went inside. We heard they serve good Indian food, so we called to find out if they have availability. After booking this place we looked at the reviews, then instantly we had mixed messages weather to go there or not, eventually we decided to go. My god! We had one of the best meals in London, much better than the restaurants in brick lane, it’s far better and cheaper than all the restaurant nearby. It was a very good choice, try it to believe it. Try their chicken cobra naga! Ooff! Hats off to the chef!

Can't complain. Great attention from staff during all our dining session, food was full of flavor, not too oily, just right. Super spicy, as it should be :) Yummy. Quality :) Some ratings said the portions are small, I didn't think so. Even the starters were pretty large.

We waited for over two hours to get our starters and there stupid waiters still make an error. The kabab is not fresh it’s the ones you find in supermarkets and this food has made most of us sick with a upset stomach. There service is slow waiters don’t know what there on about then they ran out of coke and no ice. Shortage of food so we all walked out paid the starter bill and went to another Indian restaurant with great service and freshly Made food we had a good time there. Whoever took the booking messed up as clearly you should have stated your shortage of lamb chops and coke and ice. Slow service I have never experienced this service ever elsewhere. it’s understandable if restaurant had a full house and there busy but how you saying your shortage on food after you gave our starters with missing items and didn’t mention before you took order. Overall we lads had a good time in brick lane at the standard balti house house best service ever we was valued and looked after.

Went for Bollywood dance party and I freaking enjoyed it. Been in the UK for 4yrs and first time for Desi songs. It was lit with the DJ playing some great numbers from the past and present. The place is cosy and decent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

Went here for a close friend's birthday celebration on a Monday and had a really good time. We were looking for an Indian restaurant that had good decor and was also reasonably priced. Mumbai Square did not disappoint and would come back again. The food was tasty and the staff was helpful. It was a Monday and the place was very quiet in terms of customers. Not complaining though as some People pay to have places shut just for them. When we got in we ordered some drinks and were provided with poppadoms and a few sauces to go with that. We ordered some rum but unfortunately they didn't have any so we had whisky instead. My friend asked if they had mocktails 🍸 and even though it was not on the menu the boss kindly made one for her. We ordered a few different dishes and I particularly enjoyed the okra dish (Bindi Bhaji), the mushrrom bhaji and the chicken jalfrezi. We had some channa aloo which was also nice enough. My friend ordered the Monkfish which at first came out a bit rubbery but that was quickly exchanged when we brought it to their attention. The second time it came out really well. My only negatives were that the garlic bread although tasty came out a bit cold which we didn't mention only cos we had already had the issue with the fish. The cheesecake also was frozen but I find that desserts can be a bit hit and miss in other Indian restaurants unless its a traditional one. Overall we had a great night and really liked the owner who explained that things had been a bit tough since the pandemic.. I really hope things turn for the better now things are back open. He was a very kind guy who deserves a packed out restaurant.

Went here on Sunday, very quiet. friendly service. Was quick to receive our order. Food was very tasty and large portions. Found the price to be cheaper than what we normally pay at home so pleasantly surprised especially for London. Would recommend and is around 7 minutes walk to Liverpool Street station.would go again.
