The place looks very beautiful. It gives great vibes and shares nice Indian notes. Food is tasty, portions are good. I can't eat too spicy food and was afraid checking out the place, but, I want to tell you, that you can find different level of spiciness here even suitable for people like me! Will definitely come again, great place 👍

The authenticity of the dishes in this restaurant is undeniable. The service is prompt and attentive, with decor of puppets on the ceiling, low mood lighting setting a playful and warm feel. We loved our dinner - the black lentil dahl and lamb korma being the clear stand outs. The meal came on the pricey side for what it is, but it's still worth it.

We were there on the 6th Dec, 2021. Decided to have some good Indian food with my dad & sis (just graduated) so was going for some celebration feel eats. Love all the food that came that day - quite heavy but the taste is indulgent & flavorful~ ❤️❤️❤️😋 the seats were a little narrow but the dining experience was on point! Thank you 😊

From the outside it reminded me of a doll house, however, once inside and you smell the different aromas and you see the staff busy with serving food. If you were not hungry before entering you'll certainly be when your sense gets intrigued . My friend ordered for both of us and they were delicious and full of flavour, however, his only comment was that the cheese nan was to cheesy. I say it was perfect! The only thing is that I think the table was to close to each other, it felt that you were at dinner party for 8 people rather than two.

As a walk-in family of 4 we were given a high table as all normal height tables were booked. This was not really a problem, the atmosphere, decor and vibe was amazing. The food came promptly, the poppadoms were so tasty even without any pickles on. My wife's chicken casserole had a slightly strange aftertaste that wasn't to our liking. My daughters butter chicken although delicious was too spicy for her but some yoghurt calmed it down. My lamb stew was truly outstanding as a flavourful experience, my only gripe was too bits of fat and grisle but the lamb that was there so truly melt in your mouth stuff. I would 100% return but make some requests when ordering next time. The staff, and there were lots of them, were attentive and efficient. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Had my last dinner here with friends before moving cities and there couldn't have been a better choice. Delicious dishes, vegetarian and meat based dishes alike. Beautiful interior. Would definitely recommend

We had a lovely meal here Friday. Got the last table as a walk in. The food was beautifully presented and tasted divine. We had beautiful starters and then thalis on my recommendation. Everything was very good indeed and we all had a taste of everything ordered. The staff were very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The retaurant is lovely too, decorated with Rajastani puppets and old decorative doors.

Had a lovely dinner here before going to the theatre. Was busy and a nice atmosphere. The service is slow and you have to get attention of waiting staff often to get your order in, the table next to me were clearly waiting a while before we arrived and no one had come over to ask about drinks or anything. Only because I kept calling the staff over was I able to order drinks and then food whilst table next to me still waited. The starter and dessert were amazing but the main was disappointing as it didn’t have that flavour combination expected in a curry and didn’t pack a punch. The naan was also lack lustre. Ok but not the good stuff that you get when it’s freshly cooked. Overall I would probably not go back just because I love Indian food and the mains let it down, and for the price point the presentation and flavour were lacking. The gulab Jamon and masala chai were really good though. I’d probably give food 3.5/5 stars as the desert and starter were good.

Masala Zone is an Indian eatery with a colorful decor and several locations in London. Ate at the Covent Garden location, conveniently located close to shops and a few tube stations. The lunch menu offers meat, fish and vegetarian options as well as bowls. We ordered each an entree and shared a papadum appetizer. The portions are generous and the taste delicious. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service top notch. Highly recommend for an authentic Indian dining experience.

Been here several times, still it is intersting. The service and staffs are really nice. The time of being serviced is quick. Had been with many Diplomatic guests and friends who wanted to try the authentic Indian food here. Try the Biryani either Lamb or Chicken and you will be mesmerised with the taste. Worth the time and money spent in Masala Zone.

I had heard about this place so many times and never came until now (I usually go to Dishoom when I want Indian food). It has a very good quality-price relationship. We shared a home butter chicken thali (it is for one person but I promise it is big if you are a person who does not eat a lot). I really recommend it. We also shared a pav bhaji and cheese naan (also very tasty). The food was not extremely spicy (also a good point from our point of view) All of this with a lemon drink from the menu was 39 pounds. We were two people and ended very full so I don’t consider it expensive.

What is great about this restaurant 1. Good food 2. Great ambience 3. Brilliant Service 4. Amazing location 5. Authentic Indian taste Observations that management should look into 1. Food options are limited in choice 2. I was not expecting discretionary Tip to be part of the bill , rather let customer decide how much tip one would wish to pay

Masala Zone is a great Indian cuisine. The staff are nice, the vibes are fun, and you'll always find a reservation even though the place is packed. The food is very delicious, tasty authentic Indian dishes.

😋What we've ordered: *Lamb Rogan Josh Thali *Chicken Mangalore * Goa Prawn curry *Plain Rice *Naan and Chapattis 🍛Review: We booked online to guarantee availability since we were celebrating our friend's birthday. We were warmly greeted and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was quick despite the restaurant being very busy. Lovely decoration when you enter the restaurant, wooden tables, dark lighting and vibrant Rajasthani puppets hanging from the ceiling. We liked all the food but didn't find much flavours on the prawn curry, it was a bit bland for us. We didn't feel it was authentic Indian food, of course, we were not expecting it to taste as good as the Indian food we had in India but something was missing. For the price paid for the Thali, we expected a bigger lamb portion. Also, the curries come on their own, you have to order rice or something else on the side so the bill can become a bit expensive. We already had in mind to go for desserts somewhere else so we were not planning to try any but because it was our friend's birthday they gave us a Masala brownie with ginger ice cream which was good, an interesting combination of flavours. We had a lovely time and our friend loved it so that was the most important for us and we would pick this place again to celebrate a special occasion.

Amazing food! Loved the vibe and food. Tad bit on the pricey side, therefore can't enjoy it as much as one would like to, but that being said, the food was lovely. The cocktails are great, each with its own unique twist. The decor is lovely too, (although a tad heavy on the puppets) would love to see some traditional Indian musical instruments. Staff were helpful too, and catered to my needs. Will definitely be going back!

Masala Zone is a cozy Indian restaurant located in the heart of Covent Garden. With dozens of servers ready to satisfy each and every desire, what will leave you surprised is the amount of knowledge transferred and the availability of staff. Poomi, our waitress, offered us a comprehensive Indian history and culinary lesson, bringing the food to life. Definitely worth visiting!

The service and ambience are top notch. The food is not at all satisfactory. We tried lamb roganjosh which was fine but other dishes like bihari fish curry was not bihari fish curry. It’s not authentic indian but a fusion restaurant. If you wanna try something close to authentic try their Lucknow dahi puri which was not Indian but somewhat close. Service on the other hand was really impressive which makes the experience better.

A no-frills, honest-to-goodness Indian restaurant that sells Indian food that tastes like it came straight out of Asia. As a Singaporean, this is the closest Indian food in Britain has gotten to tasting like back home for me. It’s spicy, not too sweet, and bursting with flavour. The thali is amazing. The service was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeously decorated.

Went here for lunch, I had booked on the same day morning. The place was quite busy so recommend booking before going. Food was pretty good, the staff & service were absolutely marvellous. The staff helps you to pick the food, plus explains how to eat some of the dishes as well. The menu too is quite interesting. Interior is very pretty and a nice place to dine in, washrooms are pretty good too. :) we took our own time dining and I’d highly recommend to anyone.

Although they were busy we managed to snag a table for 2 as a walk in. The waitress was attentive and happy to make suggestions about the menu. The food was served very quickly, which was amazing considering how busy they were. The Butter Chicken melted in my mouth, I have never tasted Indian Food in the UK like it before. And I would recommend trying the deserts. As for the decor, I thought the Indian dolls added a nice touch. Overall, it wasn't too pricey for what we got. And it wasn't touristy either.

You hear so much how great London Indian food scene is, and this is a great place that confirm this statement. Place was full, but we were seated right away, got great food recommendations from the staff, ordered and were promptly served. We ate it and we loved it, and we immediately ordered another full portion of Butter chicken, because it was simply fantastic! To be honest we went here by accident, because we didn't want to wait on the long line in that "other famous Indian place", then pay more and probably leave hungry. Masala Zone did not leave us disappointed, we left happy and full.

I am exploring different branches of Masala Zone. The first thing they have Halal food. I enjoyed myself a lot in this branch. Their taste is the same in all branches I have explored until now, but vibes are very different in this branch. The staff is too good, caring and they have fantastic service. You will be my goto palace once in Convent Garden. I am not saying other branches don't have a good staff or bad service; only I felt they have better than others. Like 5.1 out of 5 and for the remaining until now, I explored 5 out of 5. :)

It is one of the most authentic places with amazing food experience you can have in Central London. The food and service are excellent. With the prior reservation, you can actually enjoy your time with authentic Indian food. We (@gowdham) were serviced by Mr. Vishnu and Mr. Richard, and we are super satisfied with their hospitality. Looking forward to visit again.

Lovely food and decent prices. A few minutes walk from Covent Garden station. I ordered the mango lassi, gol guppa, lamb biryani with raita, fish and chips for the kids, butter chicken thaali, chicken tikka, lamb rogan josh and garlic naan.

Super-tasty delicious food (a little bit hot if it is not your thing), very kind servers and good athmosphere. Lamb skew was really good. We also ordered Prawn Thali, actual prawn curry is pretty small however all the sides come with it making it good well-rounded dish. We enjoyed our dinner, and recommend it!

I absolutely loved it here! Came on a Friday night with a reservation booked as it can get very busy and we were welcomed in right away and taken to our table. Loved the low lighting ambience and unique decor. The staff and waiters were so friendly and attentive. I must say I was highly impressed with the service as our food came within 10 mins, even though it was a busy Friday night. The lamb & butter chicken dish was probably the best I’ve tasted in a while - full of flavour and just delightful. The prawns were just as good. Overall, it was a pleasure to dine here and would definitely visit again. Thanks for an amazing night!

First time visiting London and all the rave about Indian food I had heard from my friends did not disappoint me at masala zone in covent garden. What a great atmosphere and decor! Service was amazing, and to top it all off, the food was delicious. We order madras chicken 65, pani puri and onion flower pod for starters. Main course was just biryani (veg, chicken and lamb). Dessert was gajjar halwa with rabri and to finish it off with masala chai. This definitely was a way to start the trip off and beat my jet lag as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant with a good menu for adults. Many vegan and vegetarian dishes. Children's menu was limited and most items on it were sold out. Only disappointment was you could not ask for a dish to be made spicier, however they did give some chopped chilies on the side.

Masala Zone was a very Rajasthani inspired interiors . It was so good to see that the restaurants there in London work so hard with their theme . The overall experience was amazing . Like everybody knows, london is known for their food scene. Their thali looked just as beautiful as their restaurant . Food tasted average , not wow but had flavours in it . The best thing I liked about this place was their fusion cocktails . Their cocktails looked beautiful and tasted the best. I gave them 4 stars just because I was asked to dine in , in the basement section and that side of the restaurant looked completely different . It felt like I came to a very basic restaurant. So please make sure to wait there until you get a seat on the main floor . Avoid basement dine in .

Traditional and authentic Indian restaurant in the heart of London. The food is delicious, decor is on point and awesome cocktails. Taking out a point because the veg options are lil less. I believe they can add more to their veg menu but it is a must visit.

It was my first time eating at any Indian fine dining restaurant (always at Indian grab and go place), but I loved Indian food a lot especially biryani. As my friends know about it we decided to go to Mazala. Restaurant ambiance is good, I am no one to judge but a lot of dolls hanging on the ceiling (part of their culture I assumed) so I decided not to deal with it. So five star for the ambiance. Service was good for me. It’s above and beyond. I want to give the guy a 5 star, however, my two Nepali friends said that the server was too much for them, guiding them what too eat and if its enough or not. I have no idea with the food and the serving, my only concern was biryani. So, food was great. Good actually! Everything came in with a very nice presentation, but in a little bit of portions/servings. (It’s London, i know everything is expensive) Please, tell your waiter to set an expectation that the £19 serving of biryani is not good for 2 people especially if the customer is a biryani lover or main focus to visit the restaurant it too eat biryani. It is just for 1 people. I had an expectation that it was a big serving until I saw it and got a bit disappointed. Garlic Nan was amazing. We ordered some another kinds of food but I don’t know it exactly, just check it on the picture below. As a whole experience in Mazala Zone Covent Garden, it was good and fantastic, but a little bit disappointed with my biryani and the service according to my friends. Still, will definitely coming back to this restaurant with my family and friends. Restaurant is surely recommended to friends.
