Vida Bakery has been a staple in my life since moving to London and going vegan over 2 years ago. I cannot say enough good things about all their cakes and cookies (the cake tubs are my personal favourite). Needless to say, when I was getting married, there was only one place I could ever consider ordering my wedding cake from. Dani is a pleasure to work with and she brought our cake vision to life. In addition to the cake, we also ordered cookies for the wedding, an extra treat our guests really enjoyed. The cake was stunning and so delicious, we could not have been happier. Easily my favourite bakery in London.

The most beautiful, tastiest birthday cake I’ve had for as long as I can remember. Love getting to enjoy treats like this even though I’m gluten intolerant. 🌈🎂🥳

I read some of the reviews after placing my first order online and I was really worried as people mentioned the cakes are dry, sickening sweet, stodgy, tasteless 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I ordered five little cakes in cute compostable pots and I am absolutely delighted with them : I am going to review them in stages, God help me I can't eat 5 cakes today - I mean, I could but I am not 🤣🤣🤣 - and I took a photo of the first ones : the one with the dried strawberry is a really moist Victoria sponge with jam and a rich cream on top. I believe my cakes were made to order and they were collected by Hermes yesterday, so let's say they are barely a day old?!? I can't tell, because they taste delicious and, the second one, an apple and cinnamon is even more moist and delicious, if that's possible 😉 So far, and I am aware that it is my first order from this Business these are the best "cupcakes" since Mrs Cupcakes in Brixton closed down almost three years ago. And if anyone has been to that Bakery and knows what I am talking about they will also know that I am paying Vida Bakery a huge compliment... I can't wait to try more delicious desserts and I will definitely recommend this place 🍰🧁🎂 Follow up : Cookies and cream pudding is absolutely perfect, I wish I ordered a bucket of it 😂😂 The Red Velvet one is not for me, I am afraid, I found it a bit bland, still moist and light sponge but perhaps it could do with some Vanilla essence as it has a strong aftertaste that didn't agree with me. Overall Apple and Cinnamon and Cookies and Cream are both winners, followed by the Victoria sponge ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️

We really loved it here. My wife has been looking for a nice slice of cake for a while. She can't eat dairy or gluten which has made this task surprisingly difficult in London! Fortunately, we had some time to head out on her birthday and Vida came out as our top choice after some careful tiktok, instagram, and Google searches. Such a cute place, super friendly staff, and what's more absolutely gorgeous gluten-free, dairy-free, egg free cakes!!! Stunning! Brick Lane isn't one of our usual haunts (too cool for us) but it's certainly going to become one just for trips to Vida!!!

I ordered my birthday cake there and all the way along the email communication was excellent. The cake itself was delicious and even the fussiest non-vegans at the party couldn’t tell the difference and enjoyed it. Thank you Vida Bakery. I would highly recommend you and will visit again. 😀.

Popped in there for some tea and cake. I was surprised to see it was all vegan, and even more pleasantly surprised that the cake was so good. It's my first time trying oat milk in tea and it was really nice. I got a cookies and cream cupcake and that was really good. Now I need to go back and try their other cakes! I also liked the atmosphere here. I highly recommend visiting this place.

So many options for coeliac cake! I was thrilled to find this was on the same black where we stayed (my waistline may not be so happy) and was amazed at the wide selection of cakes. It was packed Saturday afternoon so got a slice to take away which was lovely but very sweet! Looking forward to trying the Victoria sponge next time

We love Vida Bakery! This has been our go-to for birthday cakes for years. Loads of great options and flare in the presentation. Wonderful people and service. The cake tubs are literal genius, where you can stack them with candles or send everyone home with an intact cake minus the soggy napkins. Ticks all our gluten dairy free boxes too. Myself and my partner will always rate Vida Bakery as the best place to go for the most delicious cakes!! We've been visiting here for years and the atmosphere and customer service has always been superb. Dani is truly wonderful and if we could give Vida Bakery 10 stars we would ✨️ ❤️ you must try the rainbow cake. It's INCREDIBLE!!!

Outstanding! I can't tell you how much it means to have an allergy friendly bakery as an option for us. My 4 year old had a dairy, egg, legume and nut free cake for the first time ever and he was over the moon! Wonderful taste and they made the exact cake we asked for (rainbow layers with an exploding middle!). Would highly recommend.

I had so much expectation of this place, because of YouTube and Instagram, and finally I eat the rainbow Cake, a red velvet muffin and I drunk a hot chocolate. I am so sorry, but nothing was on the level of my expectation. Not the place ( very dirty ) not the cakes. The cake had so much baking soda flavor, the Red velvet cream was just a butter cream was not a cheese cream:( So I won’t come back.

Vida is our favourite bakery in London! My kids want it to be their birthday every weekend because their birthday cakes the last couple of years have been incredible - the only downside is their friends get jealous 😂 finding something both gluten-free and vegan isn't easy - but to make it both of those things plus RAINBOW inside🌈 just blows us away. The best service and dog-friendly too. It's sad to see the two reviews below mentioning the music - Vida is is LGBTQIA+ positive (and run!) - I just saw on their Stories that the person working that day who put the music on is queer themselves, and didn't know that the artist was problematic. It would have been more productive for the diners to mention it to the staff on the day, rather than share negative reviews of such a welcoming space. Going back for earl grey cake asap 💕

I live (some distance!) outside of London and have never had the opportunity to visit VIDA bakery in person but have been following for a while on Instagram and have always thought the cakes looked simply divine! I needed a last minute (vegan) cake for my husband’s birthday and I have to say, we were both so impressed with the (red velvet) cake! I understand that there are limitations with what products can be delivered nationwide, but the cake was truly delightful! It was so well packaged and arrived in perfect form. It was absolutely delicious and my husband loved it! Gluten free cakes can be hit or miss - this cake was so moist and tasty and delicious! Will most definitely be ordering from VIDA again, highly recommended!

I bought two of the personal sized red velvet cakes for my partner and I for his 30th. Delivery the day before was just as promised and the cake was gorgeous - sweet, moist and light. They kept perfectly in the fridge in their little tubs. I’m looking forward to the next occasion so I have an excuse to order from them again! Thank you Vida!

Delicious cupcakes, all gluten and dairy free. The owner was really kind and generous, we bought so many cupcakes she even threw in some free ones! It definitely made my birthday in London special. Highly recommend a visit.

We absolutely love vida bakery the services is amazing and cakes and treats are the best. My children have allergies to dairy and nuts and we have found it so hard in the past to find someone to make celebration cakes and treat until now. VIDA BAKERY cakes are so delicious and soo pretty.

This is the one. This is the BEST Gluten Free and Vegan bakery. THE BEST. I've tried plenty of them. Not one comes close to the quality and flavors here. They have set a new standard, a baseline of deliciousness. I would like to send the bakers my utmost thanks since it must of taken a damn long time to make sure these taste the way they do. On the menu for my visit: banana cupcake, chocolate/orange cake (maybe hint of orange) and cinnamon cookies. ALL DELICIOUS. Bought extra cookies for the road, an additional chocolate cookie that we regretfully didn't purchase enough of. Do yourself a favor and go here. Photo is proof I was there, yes I'm a dummy for not taking photos of the grub, but it was all gone by the time I remembered to take a picture.

Vida bakery is incredible! They have so many options, cater to so many dietary requirements, their desserts are so tasty and their service is fantastic! I messaged them asking if they could send the order on a specific date and add a 'Happy Birthday' note in the order as it was for my sisters birthday and they did so without any hesitation. They were so kind and reliable - thank you!!!

Ordered a banana cake for my baby’s 1st birthday, best decision ever. Cake tasted amazing, you’d have no idea it was a free-from cake if noone told you. The shop owner suggested alternatives to make the cake more baby-friendly too. Very pleased with the experience and will come back in the future.

ABSOLUTE DREAM! Vida Bakery are incredible - I had a last minute order to place for delivery within 3-days and they were able to bring to my life my vision beautifully and get it to me on time! The cake was stunning and delicious - no doubt that I will be ordering from here many times again! 🤍

I love Vida! I became intolerant to dairy and gluten when I was 16 and then they developed into allergies. Then I found Vida Bakery in Brick Lane their gluten free and dairy free cakes made it possible for me to eat nice cake again and these cakes, cookies and cupcakes are freeking amazing! And their dairy free soft serve is the bomb!!

The best bakery! My BFF is allergic to egg so this is a beautiful find :) All cake are egg and dairy free, it is amazing! The lady is very nice and the shop really pretty! The cakes are just delicious, we will return for sure :D
