I love this place. Proper homely cookies alongside amazing dessert confections, ice cream milkshakes and incredible chocolate truffles and treats. Not to mention the great staff!

Update 02/2019 I’ve been back for several times and I think I might become a regular customer. Every treat has been absolutely delicious so far. To my taste, the cookies could be a bit crispier (a bit more like shortbread) but that is my preference, the quality and taste of them are still flawless. In the meantime, savoury dishes have been introduced as well and they are tasty and satisfying. Definitely my favourite bakery in London. 11/2018 Highly recommend this place!!! Being intolerant to gluten, dairy and walnuts can be challenging at times - the hardest thing to find in here was a decision on what to order :) I've had a chocolate brownie with a scoop of icecream and I was absolutely delighted. Texture and flavour perfectly matched my taste. The brownie was succulent and soft and compact enough to not fall apart. The ice cream was fruity and creamy although a little on the sugary side. The portion size was quite generous for a dessert, the prize most certainly justified! Besides that, the waiters were exceptionally friendly and patient with my decision-making, the music that was on was subtle enough to have a conversation and they've had a great playlist.

Honestly some of the best desserts in the world! Even compared to glutenous and non vegan ones - minus the cruelty (and I've eaten A LOT of desserts). The cookies are a perfect chewy and soft consistency - the peanut butter, double chocolate chip and ginger are my favourite. The brownie is super soft, moist and again, an amazing texture. The cookie dough milkshake is also incredible. If you're eating in make sure you ask for your pudding to be heated... Mmmm. I've had better drinks (hot chocolate and chai) but the sweet treats and staff alone deserve the five stars! Again, I can't believe these guys are vegan and gluten free. What a godsend.

Prices are great, especially given it is a specialist food place (vegan) in London. Friendly staff, great music and a welcoming atmosphere. Plus a photo of the greatest American comedian of all time (Bill Hicks) on the wall. Anyone who loves an alternative scene and good sweet treats, go here!

This bakery has a lovely location and a great sense of style. It is one of the most unique and creative bakeries I have ever seen. I overdid it a when I visited, as they have a lot of options for gluten-free and vegan treats. My favorite was the cookie dough shake. Give it a try and enjoy the treats. #celiac #glutenfree #vegan

Vegan and gluten free desserts - we had cookie sandwiches which were amazing and I had a peanut butter milkshake which was thick and delicious. It has a small seating area at the back. The staff were very friendly and explained what all the different cakes and pastries were. Will definitely be visiting again

Fab place- delicious cookies, shakes and other treats (better than many non vegan). Helpful waiter happily made half-size shakes for my kids on request.

Heavy metal vegan treats! 🤘🏽 Cherry 🍒 and almond blondie is definitely still doing gooey stuff inside me and the chocolate oatmeal cookie 🍪 is like a soft chunkie hero. Kinda like Chewbacca, but without the fur. Reminds me of Katie... but with the fur 🙄 So I guess Chewbacca just reminds me of Katie. They’ve been open since 2010 apparently and I’ve only just been there now! What’s wrong with me! Apart from finding a Chewbacca lookalike attractive 🤷🏻‍♂️ Totally ahead of the game with the vegan sweet treats, Cookies and Scream is (insert swear word here) incredible! The perfect little, or large, after dinner treat if you’re passing through the area. Or just fancy a journey 🚗 Seeing as I pass through the area quite often, I think I’ll be gooeying up my arteries with some more Cookies and Scream vegan delights more often! 😋 Insta: @veganinthebigcity

Had amazing shakes and desserts at cookies and scream! Super filling and everything is gluten free & vegan. I took a friend who doesn’t have any food restrictions and they couldn’t even tell that the desserts were made without wheat or dairy. We had the Chico pie and Mooks, but i preferred the pie of the two. There’s seating in the front and back for about 10-12 people at any given time.

Great GF goodies! GF options are becoming a bit more available overall, but can still be quite challenging to find places to eat. So happy Cookies & Scream is a DEDICATED GF place - Celiacs can feel "Anxiety Free" eating here! Plus, their food is delicious❣️

Shocked by how bad! First time stepping into this shop last week. The place was sticky and run down. The teenager working the counter was nice, though the glass case was barely half full with items (this was mid-afternoon). I decided to try a chocolate donut. It was nothing like a donut at all. More like a heavy brownie in the shape of a donut. It was all sugar, no flavor. This place definitely does not serve health-conscious baked goods, but diabetes inducing baked goods. But hey, some people like that. Perhaps I'll give it another go and try a shake and update this review. But to me the shop seems like it was a dream for the owner at first but they have since stopped caring about it. The heart doesn't feel in it. Oh, and the donut was £6 or £7 which seems very silly for a tiny donut (brownie)

How I have never previously left a review about this place is beyond me. This is my favourite spot within the whole of London. The staff have the most beautiful hearts and you can tell by the quality of the food. I am so grateful that this shop has remained throughout all the years and it is so worth the journey from one side of London to the other. Vegan heaven, I would suggest non-vegans try what they have to offer! I am not vegan myself but the food quality is beyond insane. More than reasonable pricing. Love me a Cookies and Scream!

The yummiest shakes I’ve had in London, improved only by the fact they’re gluten free and vegan. Succulent cookie dough and creamy ice cream, along with a bunch of other goodies.

We got a cookie sandwich with chocolate cream inside and the peanut butter pie with chocolate chips and vanilla ice-cream. Everything was fully vegan and definitely delicious. The decor and playlist is fun, a nice change. Staff was friendly and efficient. We will be back to try the rest!

We all have different taste,so bare in mind this review based on a 'sweet tooth' taste :). I liked a small dome looking chocolate cake (please see my photos), barely because it was very unusual- on a darker side plain tasting chocolate mousse on the bottom and liquid caramel inside,so be careful not to make mess like i did ;). Also, i liked chocolate and some white stuff on top or bottom😅? cake slice. it tasted similar to a cheesecake stuff, the white part of it, and it had tastier and more flavoursome dark chocolate cream in it than in the dome cake. The cream itself had more flavour so tasted much better! The coconut slice was nice, very moisture and coconut-y, this would be perfect choice for not so sweet sugar loving people. I just didn't quite like the raspberry jam inside(again, personal taste ;). The last cake on my photos was my least favourite- usual brownie cake pastry- but very soft and crumbly, milk chocolate cream and dark chocolate mousse top- very sweet but very boring. Hope this was helpful guys ;)! Will add later if i had any coeliac symptoms after my cake trial session😅!

What a treat this place is for a coeliac! The chocolate chip cookies were soft and devine. We also got a berry, crumble cake of which I had to fight my no coeliac partner for! 😋

The shakes are some of the best I've had, they are topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and not too sweet like some others I've had. Would recommend the toffee bourbon one as it's not a flavour you can get elsewhere. Downside was that we arrived around 3pm and a lot of the bakery items were gone. Don't know if they restock during the day but best arrive earlier to get best selection.

Amazing food and drinks available 😍 HUGE range of desserts available - best place I've found to date!! 💯 Customer service outstanding 🤩 I pop in for my treat whenever I visit family in Holloway, but I feel like one of their regulars and am treated so. Very caring and attentive staff 👌🏽

A bit out of the way but lovely set up with a quirky American diner vibe and even nicer staff who are very knowledgable about allergens. I believe it’s a completely gluten free and vegan / dairy free bakery/cafe. Lots of options and particularly luscious milkshakes and hot chocolates. Also don’t pass on the tiramisu topped brownie if you get the chance! Admittedly not the most aesthetic bakes, but the most generous amount of good quality chocolate in the bakes I have tried. As well as plenty of options daily and an opportunity to order some items on there website .

Cakes mmmm brownies gluten free vegan donuts all delicious. Coffee okay too. Theres a booth in the back, but a two person table I can sit my wheelchair up to & i dont have enough friends to make it's size a problem. They have a ramp! Yes, theres a step and no sign to say there's a ramp. My powerchair did a bit of damage trying to turn atound before I came out, but they were very chill about it. A bit narrow for bigger wheel chairs. Been in a few times and all the staff are really nice.

Was hooked in by the gluten/dairy free desserts, and was shocked at how good it tasted. Had a cookie sandwich, which was soft, chewy and honestly better than any dairy/gluten containing desserts I've had and minus the stomach upset. Staff was very friendly too :)

The most delicious vegan, gluten-free bakery just minutes away from Emirates. Can't resist popping in here on the way to a game! Can't wait to try more.

I went today (Saturday afternoon) with my friend and I had great coffee and enjoyed the time comfortably. The three staff were all excellent :) welcoming/personable, professional and attentive. We sat inside and it was clean and cool (33 degrees today for ref).

First visit in 4 years since moving south of the river. My better half is gluten free (not by choice) and cookies and scream always puts a smile on her face. Helpful, chatty and friendly team working there and would definitely recommend the cookies and ice-cream.
