Quirky pub with an excellent selection of beers & decent vegan food. Sharing sweet potato platter with dip and Tofish & chips were quite impressive & a good size portions. Would definitely come back here again. The toilets are downstairs, which might not be suitable for those with accessibility needs.

Pleasant pub. Willing service but clearly I arrived at the wrong time as it took 45 minutes between ordering and getting my food. Food was tasty.

We stopped there for a drink and some food snack. The ground floor was busy and we went downstairs to the basement and found a nice room like a little cave where we sat there on our own (my friend and I). It is a cozy place and we had a great time. I ordered some shared platter and a video and the bar staff was friendly and smiley. The food did not take long and the staff who brought our food was a lovely lady with great simpathy and big smile. Very friendly all the staff we had. The food was really good and very tasty. We had a great experience and we would definitely recommend this Pub. It is just opposite St James Station. Leave your car home, take the tube and enjoy your drinks there.

A great pub over three floors (I think), didn't go upstairs to check! The Old Star lies close to St James's Park underground station, on the corner of Queen Anne's Gate. Good beer, both cask and keg. Plenty of food on the menu offering dishes with a Cajun twist to sit alongside more traditional London dishes. Staff are lovely and efficient. Enjoy your visit.

The pub is right outside of the tube station, and not far from the park. It is great for a short rest after the park. It’s pretty much self service here. Find your own seat and order at the bar. The basement is great for kids, there is an area with 4-6 tables. No serving staff bothered us at all. When we were there was no milk, so no hot chocolate or coffee with milk. The mulled wine was delish.

Cool spot! Be sure to check out the downstairs! Super cool. Bartender was standoffish but the guy (maybe the owner) out in the restaurant was super nice and kind and happy to help. Had the pork buns. Quite tasty. I’d come back.

£21.30 in total, £13.75 for the meal which makes the bottle of Inch's cider £7.55. A little steep perhaps but then again I am used to the cost of living in Sheffield. I originally intended to have the steak and ale pie, however upon ordering I was told that it was out, and they only had 'turkey'. This turned out to be I believe turkey and bacon? Perhaps. Served with mashed potato, peas and a little pot of gravy. Hot, tasted very nice, perhaps the portion was a little small for the price. The cider was served nice and cold, I was offered and accepted a glass with ice. Toward the end of my glass, I peered down into the bottom as one does and saw two little flies floating about. I don't mind the two little fellows because they could have entered my glass at any point. And having just written a little bit about portion:price ratio who am I to say anything about a little free protein being served.

A great little pub that serves a decent pint and the chicken wings are great! I popped in as I was stopping at the hotel across the road. It’s situated opposite St James Park Underground, it was a really busy vibrant place on the Friday but was closed on the Saturday for some reason!

Surprisingly nice pub. You have to get in, grab a drink and enjoy the interior. There is more space downstairs, and it is great for dining. Very close to St. James station A Greene King pub. You can either use their app, or or ask staff for your orders.

Great venue but it was a poor atmosphere when I was there. Grumpy service, quiet and cold. Cool design at various points inside

Was pleasantly surprised at just how good the food was. Great pub and we will definitely make it one of our top spots when staying at the Conrad down the street. Great service and great for lunch!

Avoid this place. I ordered food that I couldn’t bear to eat. The fries with aioli sauce definitely didn’t taste like aioli. Definitely could improve on their quality of food and atmosphere as the restaurant didn’t feel super clean. Gross toilets as well. Decent service.

Had lunch here with my girlfriend on our way to Westminster Abbey. Really enjoyed it. Relaxing atmosphere and nice staff. Felt really welcoming 👍 the food was also good, so we finished our plates. Not too expensive. Value for the money.

It took more than 40 mins and a reminder to serve this order (chicken wings, French fries and shrimp sandwich). I’d you are here only for 1 hour lunch, better not to start. The food itself is ok, a bit oily.

Delicious food, great drinks, and fantastic service. The chick pea curry was really tasty, and the classic burger is perfect pub fare. And the Bloody Mary really hit the spot. Best of all, the service was on point!!! Thank you for a wonderful evening at the Old Star, Serena.

Great pub at the heart of historic Westminster. Easy walking distance to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St James Park and Buckingham Palace. The pub has historic arches you can drink in, which make for a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, and able to drink outside in the nice weather. Good range of beers and spirits. Something for everyone.

Amazing experience! I went to the Old Star on Monday evening to enjoy some drinks with a friend. The pub was quite busy yet well managed service. Special mention to Mark, who served us with his vibrant and infectious smile. Seeing him in action is an absolute delight, he is fast, smart and very efficient!

We went for a drink and therefore my review would be limited to a short visit. Well stocked bar. Efficient and quick responding staff.

The Old Star was the choice pub to mark another successful implementation. This place can get very busy, however a good place to relax and enjoy your drink. A colleague makes it a habit to get 'the new chicken tray' platter but he did not show up. l have taken a picture of it all the 3449 calories. I am sure I read that right 😁. Staff are helpful and friendly and the service is quick despite the queues.
