In short, I was accused of trying to scam the hotel after I brought it to their attention that their smoke alarms were covered by a plastic bag, rendering them useless in a fire. I'm not trying to scam them, I'm a firefighter and I was trying to let them know I wasn't happy that my room wasn't fit for purpose due to that issue. Unfortunately I didn't see the alarm until the morning, but now I've been accused of all sorts ill explain every single issue I found with the room. This was the only room they had left. We didn't have an option other than to find another hotel. 1) Our room stank of cigarettes. The bedding, pillow and morning towels were awful and kept us both up throughout the night feeling quite unwell, even with the window open. 2) The radiator had fallen on the floor, off of the wall and the floor around it was covered in dirt. I was told later that they knew this and it's 'on the list of jobs to do'. 3) The bathroom light was hanging out of the ceiling. 4) The bathroom door doesn't fully shut, so there was minimal privacy from my colleague I shared the room with. Considering we had to pay about £95 to stay in a hotel that usually charges £55 for a stay, it pisses me off to be accused of breaking the law after I professionally brought the issue to the company's attention. I'm not trying to bully anyone into a refund or blackmail the company into giving us anything. All I wanted was for them to realize it wasn't ana acceptable stay, but now I'm being accused of making the whole thing up and lying about it... Even though I have photos of everything 🤦🏼‍♂️🤔

Really welcoming pub and guest house. I Spent one night in the guest house and thought it was great. A nice simple comfy place to get my head down. Food was great and staff were so friendly. Couldnt recommend it enough if you are in the area for a pint or a bit of lunch.

Not happy at all!!! Seems to of gone down hill! The short chubby Irish man that looks like a manager basically refused my room even though I had paid for it online, only to come over from the north to be told a room wasn’t available! Had to sleep in a budget hotel 15 minutes drive away! Used to love coming here but definitely won’t be a customer of this establishment again! Waste of time and money unfortunately!!! Change your management!

Great bar great food fantastic atmosphere. Always lively even during the day time they get plenty customers and it's in great location near bust stops and train station plenty to eat away from the pub after drinking as well parking is plentiful and overall shouldn't complain as its always a good experience.

Nice guest house above an Irish pub. Room very clean with good amenities. Staff really friendly and always offering to help. Extremely good value overall. Location very handy for Seven Kings station, just over 20 mins from central London, but local area is a wee bit run down.

It's a few years since I've been in here as I moved. The layout has changed since it was O Gradys but it still works very well. Service good with staff who knew what they were doing and Molly was a particular delight. The Guinness was superb, don't believe that you can't get it as good outside Ireland, try it here. Great pub.

First hotel I've ever stayed at that does not have more than one room key per room. My friend went out and took what turned out to be the only key, so I spent my first night in London stuck in the hotel room. It is also very far from most things in London. Disappointed.

Visited lunchtime on sunny Easter Saturday. Happy, sometimes excited atmosphere with Big Screens showing racing and football. Friendly Bar staff, quick to serve, clear tables.

Lovely food and service. The manager was extremely helpful. Food portions are generous and everything is well cooked. The Sunday carvery is such good value and again great food. The bar layout is so much better since McCaffertys took over. A hidden gem for the area. 5 stars

We booked 4 nights in this guesthouse and everything was perfect. It was small room with two twin beds and a bathroom but I was enough for us to rest after a day of visiting. Everything was clean and we also appreciated the ambiance of the bar underneath which served very good dishes. I recommend!

What a welcoming place to visit, the staff were so friendly and took great care of us, we stayed in the guesthouse for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on both evenings and had breakfast, the rooms are cosy and warm, the location was great and has a direct train link to the city centre. For the price it was a steal, will definitely be back again. Thanks for everything.

We had the most amazing stay at this hotel ! It has a massive parking at a good price right across ,which was a massive bonus for us . The staff were absolutely lovely ,every single one of them ! We were lucky to have stayed there for 2nights as nothing in the area comes even close to the quality of the service they provide ! We would most definitely recommend and we will book it again when in the area ! Thank you McCafferty's!

They do very bad service. There was short blonde lady she didn’t care about our service. I ordered food they served after 30 minutes even it wasn’t busy. I have been going this pub since 2010. It used to be good not anymore. Good luck for you . I hope you can keep coming to your customers!

The location was very nice. 5 minutes of walking to the trainstation. You sleep above a bar so they play very loud music in the evening. One of our bed didn't had a duvet. The floor was on some places very wet and some dirty places which we cleaned by ourselfs with a towel.

We visited on a Friday night for the live band, atmosphere wasn't not bad, however the bar manager proceeded to put his foot on the serving counter (behind the bar) while the waitress was making our drinks. It truly soured the mood and he did not think that it would not be hygienic, not mentioning gross, to conduct this way in front of his customers. He knew his customers could see it but didn't care. The waitress did ask him to move, and he did not. I could not bear to drink more in this pub. I would recommend to avoid

Very nice place staff friendly, food great, clean and airy accommodation. The stairs are very steep to go upto the rooms but once there is all good. Tea, coffee provided as are ear plugs but not needed when we started it was quite. Would definitely stay there again absolutely no problems.

Good location with parking across the road (free at weekends). The room was clean and comfortable. The pub had live music and great Guinness. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed as it was cheap. It was incredible value for money! Was expecting lots of noise from the reviews and bar downstairs, but the rooms are amazingly soundproofed. We couldn't hear a thing, it was great Air con worked wonders, beds were comfy. Close walk to the tube stop. We stayed 2 nights as we were going to a concert at the O2 and it was far better than expected, would happily stay again

Mccaffertys. What can you say about this place? It is hard to believe this establishment is outside of Ireland and bang in the heart of East London. The atmosphere is great and the decor is ostentatiously Irish with its dark wooden beams everywhere. The Sunday roast is great and plentiful and with the self service, your eyes becomes bigger than your belly. Very friendly staff and as well as the Guinness and draughts, etc, there is great tea and coffee and a small selection of home cooked desserts to go with the roast. A nice gem of Irish hospitality outside of Ireland.

Worst place ever. We reserved a room for 8 night and had to leave after just 1. We arrived 4 hours after check in and still had to wait for the key. We didn't get a proper working key until 9 pm and the room was filthy. The sheets needed to be changed and the room they offered for us to change to was even dirtier. Everything was stained and we found someone's dirty underwear underneath the bed. We asked to leave and had to wait until 4 pm the next day for the boss, who didn't even show up. They promised that we can leave and would get the money back from all 7 unused night. 2 weeks later we got the money back from 6 night and they insisted we stayed for 2 night. When we were leaving the assistant manager had promised that we would only have to pay for one night. I hope they return the money from 1 night because this is disgusting.
