In
short,
I
was
accused
of
trying
to
scam
the
hotel
after
I
brought
it
to
their
attention
that
their
smoke
alarms
were
covered
by
a
plastic
bag,
rendering
them
useless
in
a
fire.
I'm
not
trying
to
scam
them,
I'm
a
firefighter
and
I
was
trying
to
let
them
know
I
wasn't
happy
that
my
room
wasn't
fit
for
purpose
due
to
that
issue.
Unfortunately
I
didn't
see
the
alarm
until
the
morning,
but
now
I've
been
accused
of
all
sorts
ill
explain
every
single
issue
I
found
with
the
room.
This
was
the
only
room
they
had
left.
We
didn't
have
an
option
other
than
to
find
another
hotel.
1)
Our
room
stank
of
cigarettes.
The
bedding,
pillow
and
morning
towels
were
awful
and
kept
us
both
up
throughout
the
night
feeling
quite
unwell,
even
with
the
window
open.
2)
The
radiator
had
fallen
on
the
floor,
off
of
the
wall
and
the
floor
around
it
was
covered
in
dirt.
I
was
told
later
that
they
knew
this
and
it's
'on
the
list
of
jobs
to
do'.
3)
The
bathroom
light
was
hanging
out
of
the
ceiling.
4)
The
bathroom
door
doesn't
fully
shut,
so
there
was
minimal
privacy
from
my
colleague
I
shared
the
room
with.
Considering
we
had
to
pay
about
£95
to
stay
in
a
hotel
that
usually
charges
£55
for
a
stay,
it
pisses
me
off
to
be
accused
of
breaking
the
law
after
I
professionally
brought
the
issue
to
the
company's
attention.
I'm
not
trying
to
bully
anyone
into
a
refund
or
blackmail
the
company
into
giving
us
anything.
All
I
wanted
was
for
them
to
realize
it
wasn't
ana
acceptable
stay,
but
now
I'm
being
accused
of
making
the
whole
thing
up
and
lying
about
it...
Even
though
I
have
photos
of
everything
🤦🏼♂️🤔
