Great pub. Lovely Sunday roast, and lots of it. The vegetables were cooked just right. Also, very reasonably priced and really friendly staff.

A lovely hidden gem in the heart of London. A warm welcome is guaranteed. Mark and Jackie really make you feel at home. Haven't tried it yet but I've been reliably informed they make an awesome Sunday Roast.

It's a no frills, come one come all English pub. It's a little bit tucked away between Commercial Rd and Whitechapel High St, so you have to seek it out a bit. Can be quiet in the day and early evening.

visiting, small and comfortable pub near Aldgate Station, sells bar snacks Sunday lunches and a selection of ales and largers. 4 stars as care taken in pub appearance and upkeep and professionalbar staff Sky sports viewing available and not just rugby and football as racing was on at time of visit so place adaptable to different sports.

Great local! Not too busy and really cheap drinks. Lots of regulars but you still feel really welcome because the owner is so warm and friendly. Definitely recommend.

I came here for a charity night and I had rather a lot of fun. The staff and employees are incredibly friendly and helpful and the beers are good. I feel like some may find this place a bit 'local' at first but I assure you that it is well worth stopping in for.

One of the best kept secrets in East London. Fantastic staff that always offer a welcoming atmosphere with live sport daily and great traditional home cooked food. Highly recommended.

What a Gem! 17 of us came here on Saturday, Jackie or Super Jackie as we like to call her, had agreed to open specially for us for Breakfast, she had also decorated the pub with balloons and banners, and allowed us to have butlers in the buff attending. From the word go, Jackie and her team could not have been more helpful, on the day the full English was also delicious. We had a number of guests from abroad and could not have hoped for a finer example of a London Pub with Proper East end Hospitality. Thanks you so much guys, you were the highlight of the weekend, Special thanks to the landlord (Mark?) for his guest appearance with the Butlers! We had such fun - Bar Locks was a highlight of a great weekend.

Great pub for playing darts and chilling as nice relaxed atmosphere with Duke box playing. Also great place to watch sports without people obstructing your view. The Landlord and Landlady really make you feel welcome. Food there is tasty, mostly tradional English and East end like pie mash and liqueur at decent prices. Worth checking out guys :-)
