As the other reviews say the theatre is simply gorgeous and very clean. Seats were comfortable. We saw the Frozen show and it was excellent. There are some added songs to make it a full show, but the favorites are in there as well. The set was incredible those guys need some recognition- as was the band. All in all, a wonderful experience.

What a beautiful theatre! It's like an art gallery, it has a grand entrance beautiful bars inside. My wife and I went to the the frozen production, we were in the front row seats 27 & 28 the view was unrestricted and the show was great. Inside the theatre hall the decoration is very nice. The seats are comfortable and the stage is very large. I would definitely recommend the show Frozen and seeing any show in the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

The theatre looks very new and fresh. Very comfortable seating and good looking interior. We watched Frozen the musical - was very enjoyable. Mostly followed the movie story line although there were a few deviations - I don't remember there being a part with sauna dancing - was a little strange, not sure it needed to be added. Elsa and Anna, both young and grown up all performed extremely well. Definitely worth a visit with the family.

Big Theatre, the seats are not the best of the West End Theatres but certainly not the worst, and fairly good leg room. Regarding the show "Frozen" it scores very well for the stage sets/effects and costumes. A classic story line and a some good music. Toilets were very clean and a nice central bar.

Absolutely beautiful theatre. Went to see Frozen which was spectacular! What really impressed me was the attentive staff. I walk with a crutch, the man at the door saw this and immediately told us he would escort us to the lift, which he did. He then personally took us up in the lift and showed us to the door for our seats. At the interval a member of staff sought me out to ask if there was anything she could get for me or any way she could help and pointed out the best way to get back to the lift area after the show. Superb theatre. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite theatres I’ve ever worked in. The history of this building and it’s site is fascinating. The staff are the best. Every friend I’ve given a tour to has loved it. The Victorian under-stage with its massive water powered hydraulic lifts is kid cool! A must see building.

This review is NOT about the play Frozen (but it WAS amazing). This very old building is very well maintained. It has a gorgeous mix of everything from the last century during its construction to a modernity that allows for plays with the latest technology in stage effects. Certain seats might limit the view of the stage but this is very play-dependent. The price is high but it’s world-class entertainment in a world-class setting. The tasteful art makes anyone not in a suit and tie or dress feel underdressed for the occasion—but the staff don’t mind. The fact one can’t get a cocktail until after the show is a little unfortunate but it won’t be an issue for everyone. The staff was courteous and professional. Really couldn’t ask for more of them. The toilets were very clean and also well-maintained. There are nicer ones out there but we don’t typically visit a place for the lavatories! Overall, this is an excellent venue for any live entertainment. No one will regret attending an event here.

It is a lovely theatre with a beautiful interior. They do ask that the audience wear masks - and even provide disposable ones - but unfortunately, the majority seemed to ignore this. Frozen was better than I had expected, and the £20 day seat ticket in the side stalls from the official website was a bargain.

What a stunning theatre. We've had the most magical day watching Frozen as a family. My 4yr old daughter was so engrossed the whole entire time, she was singing along and had a massive smile throughout. The whole production is phenomenal. The actors and actresses are all amazing. The venue is spotless. Some great merchandise available. Good selection of bars for drinks. We had seats in the Royal Circle, which where fantastic. The view was spectacular. The legroom was great, the best theatre with this I've been to. Been 6ft 6" it can be tight. Such a special place. Thank you for the memories.

One of the big theatres in London. Very grand and impressive building, with lots of history. The performance and scenery are what you would expect from the London theatre district. Tickets may be a bit pricey, but the whole experience makes it worthwhile.

The theatre looks like an art gallery! Such a lovely interior decoration! Also bars are fantastic. Frozen was a very nice show. The ice effects were amazing! Should be more of them! A few parts were a little boring though. Lovely atmosphere but a little scary if you are afraid of heights and seated at the upper seats.

Amazing Theatre. Oldest and in my opinion one of the best. Renovated to a high standard. Comfy seats and easy to view. Access for everyone with plenty of toilets, food and drink. Reasonable prices and good location. Grab a taxi outside or hop on the tube. Lots of places to eat and drink but give yourself time as it can be busy

Great experience loved the theatre, brilliant how Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has renovated it and really opened the theatre up. I couldn't believe the bar in where it used to be the box office. Lovely Grand Saloon serving afternoon teas. The auditorium now has extra leg room in the seats and circle is nearer the stage now. Also the seats are all embellished with either the king's or princes coat of arms, either side of the royal box, depending on what side you are sitting. Great theatre tour as well, Liv and James really made it come to life with their acting and timing, it made you remember the facts that they were giving you. Loved going into the tunnels under the theatre and hearing the stories of the ghosts. The tunnels are blocked up now but one goes down to the Thames and the sailors on leave used to work backstage and that's why you should never whistle as that is how the comminute and you may get some stage props on your head. Great that Jamie Oliver's new restaurant is opening up next to the theatre in The Garden. A really lovely theatre.

I had a lovely time today watching Live Actually Live in Concert. The staff carried out great security checks at the entrance which is reassuring, inside is simply beautiful. The bar was reasonable priced for a theatre in London, we enjoyed our drinks on the outdoor terrace which was nice. The show itself was amazing, the orchestra was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to come back and watch another show.

Beautiful theatre. I sat in the upper circle row J which actually had excellent leg room and a very good view (partially skewed by a tall man with an exceptionally large head, but that can't be blamed on the theatre!). Very old building with great architecture. We watched Charlie and the chocolate factory there December 2016 and it was a brilliant show.

42nd Street at the Drury lane theatre. An astoundingly wonderful evening of music, song, dance amazing colour and sheer beauty. It's spectacular and everyone must see it. Took my granddaughter and she has seen it 3 times and wants to go again. She is 11. Photo before the show of course!

Saw a musical there. The show was awesome. Seat-wise, was surprised to learn that the balcony part (upper-most) has its own entrances and completely disconnected from the main theatre entrance/interiors and all the other seat areas.

Andrew Lloyd Webber - Really Useful Theatre flagship. Historical building You have to go there for a theatre tour.. underneath they do have a truly stunning mechanical engineering underneath the stage. The staging movement is controlled from underneath. A must see piece of engineering equipment. Remarkable

Went to see Frozen and it was just AMAZING! I was sceptical as I didn't know what to expect but the whole experience was wonderful! The staff are very friendly and helpful. We sat in the stalls to the left of the stage, row H. These were really good seats for the price (£85). You miss a little bit of the stage, right by the pillar but it's nothing much, you still get to see the actors really clearly. There is also quite a lot of leg room with the new seats. The set is wonderfully done, very impressive and the sound quality was excellent, not too loud! The drink prices are quite reasonable for a theatre, my husband and I don't drink so we had a coke which are £3.50 each for a 330 ml glass bottle which was ice cold! Perfect evening out for all ages.

There’s nothing you can fault this beauty with! Stunning Theatre 🎭. I love the musicals and to watch Frozen here was amazing. Shame the stewards were shushing the little kids though from signing along, as I personally think it would have made the performance that little more WOW!

Went to see Frozen musical. It's my first time at the Theatre Royal however I understand it had been recently refurbished which was good to know and you could absolutely tell. The foyer felt airy and spacious. We were sat on the very back row, above the chandeliers, however the view was still acceptable but buyer beware if you are afraid of heights as it does get rather steep on the balcony section.

Great experience. Clean well staffed and friendly. Toilets were spotless and the Isles were clean. Show was spectacular with amazing technology. The sound is very clear regardless of the seating area. The souvenir shop was quite pricey but that's something to factor in for the overall experience of the trip. Be aware parking is atrocious and lots of residential permit parking. Some parking in the side streets are available away from the theatre area, 5-9 minutes walk.

First time at this theatre and it did not dissapoint, it is an absolutely beautiful theatre. We had a magical evening watching Frozen. We sat in Row K, seats 20 and 21. Fantastic view, seat were comfy, and we were happy with the leg space, plenty of booster seats available for little ones. We had a great immersive experience. The sound and visuals were just superb. The special effects were just wow! Theatre is in a great location, short walk from Covent Garden station. Staff are extremely attentive and professional. There were plenty of merchandise to buy before and during intervals. The ice creams were yummy! You can purchase hot chocolate from the bar, which costs roughly £4. Toilets are very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

Probably one of the nicest architecturally speaking theatres I have ever been to. It has a different atmosphere to all the rest. The bar area was stunning with an equally very beautiful and comfortable area to sit throughout the interval over a Gin & Tonic in proper gin glasses not the plastic let's carry on killing the environment rubbish. Stunning the theatre is Stunning !

Amazing venue and show. I was truly gobsmacked. Bought tickets for my ladies birthday. Took headphones to listen to while the show took place. How silly could I have been!!!! The show from start to finish was simply astounding, and recommend it to all those who love a show or have doubts about the entertainment we have on our doorstep.

High Quality Theatre experience! I recommend getting to the theatre with time before the play starts to enjoy the beautiful architecture, take a look at the gifts shop and have a drink at the bar, the Frozen inspired drink was delicious. Frozen is a very entertaining play for both kids and adults. Visual effects and sets are stunning. Music is beautiful. Be ready for Pure Disney Magic!

Amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. We were at the musical frozen with my daughter ( 5 years old). You can find a lot of toys and stuff there to buy with your favorite character. The prices are a bit expensive but the joy of the children when they receive their favorite character is amazing.

We went to this theatre to watch a live recording of Michael McIntyre. The building was amazing and a great way to enjoy what Weber you are watching. All the bars, and lounges are real treat and a great way to start your evening out. The drinks prices are quite expensive but that’s the only negative side I can think of.

This was favorite theatre of mine before the refit but now, wow is all I can say. Its stunning. We had a wander round in the interval of Frozen and I dont think there will be a bad seat in the entire house. Stunning building, beautiful artwork and filled with some of the finest performers in the West End. Certainly worth a visit.

Amazing theatre, ideally located. We have been there to have an afternoon tea and it was very nice. The room has an incredible charm and is very well decorated. Chelsea who took care of us was very friendly and made this experience unique, with her smile, kindness and attention to details and we thank her for that. The menu is very nice and the teas are very good. Only the dessert were not to our taste as well as sometimes the volume of the music was slightly too loud. Nevertheless, this was an amazing experience that I would definitely recommend to any of my friends but don't forget to reserve !

Oh my, Wow, this theatre is well looked after from the impressive facade to the sweeping staircases this has it all in front of house, it's not let down by the staff either courteous friendly knowledgeable, but then you go into the theatre proper and it delivers, from the monogrammed carpet and beautiful velvet seating (also monogrammed) the whole thing is impressive, such wonderful sconces and architecture, you can even have afternoon tea there, either in a small piano side room or the main area. The stage is large and gives the stage show and visual prowess that is simply breathtaking. If you have tickets to a show here then you are definitely in for a treat.

Seat View - Royal Circle, Row K, Seat 24 I was informed by a friend that this theatre was fairly recently refurbished, and all I can say is WOW! This theatre is absolutely beautiful! The atrium, stairwells and corridors looked fresh, with beautiful art adorning most of the walls, highlighted by the spot lighting. The staff were dressed in a combi action of uniforms, some of which had a beautiful red jacked fastened with a fashion-style pin (something I'd love to wear at a function or night out). The seats within the auditorium are now a lovely deep red with gold Theatre Royal Drury Lane insignia. Pretty comfortable and there was a good amount of space between the people to my sides. I'm 6ft 2 and the leg room was really decent, I didn't feel my knees were crushed against the seats in front (which I have felt in some theatres). Overall, an absolutely stunning theatre! The view from the pictured seat was perfect for Frozen. Sold as slightly restricted (as you'd miss action at the very top of the proscenium arch, however in this show you miss very little). The show itself was incredible, with magic, costumes, lighting and set pieces frequently taking the audience's breath away! Definitely recommended for Frozen or Disney fans in general.

Booked a tour to find out more about the oldest theatre in London and boy did you find out more! More like an experience than a dry boring tour as led by 2 guides/actors? One or both were called James and they kept you entertained with loads of facts and stories . Lasted for over an hour and involved lots of stairs so be warned!

The bar areas at the theatre are worth visiting for a drink whether or not you intend going to the theatre. The place has received a complete renovation by Lord Lloyd-Webber at a cost of £60m. The interior is breathtaking and the bar areas are welcoming and comfy. Go just sip a cocktail, chat or just read. Elegant and stylish.
