A truly wonderful place in the heart of Soho! I’ve not been in the the temple above but the food on the ground floor is simply incredible and you will not find any hot and tasty food cheaper in central London! The people that work here are incredibly friendly too and covered in smiles. Almost everything is vegan too.

Temple is very nice. Very pretty idols. Please check the opening hours before visiting. Govinda restaurant in that building is equally good for Indian vegetarian food, though I saw many Europeans enjoying veg food there, prices are quite reasonable for that area.

Due to Covid nothing is normal and that goes for the Radha Krishna Temple too. The restaurant 'Govinda's' is a nice experience for the uninitiated. The Temple is like a spiritual oasis in a very material city. Please try to visit if you can, and remember that the Deities are from the spiritual world. Hare Krishna!

This is a beautiful temple on the first floor with a large prayer hall. Although the temple is small the energy is incredible. Located just off Oxford street, the temple has Govindas - the restaurant at the ground level and the temple on level one. You can make donations on Level One using cards. This temple also allows you to click photos or even do a video call and help allow darshan for family / friends. Lot of paid parking (streetside) available in the vicinity.

Iskon Temple is an oasis of silence in the heart of the city. Clean and beautiful, friendly people. I feel welcome even if I am a Christian person. Always open in the day time. Every day lunch for a small amount of money. Thank you!

Didn't actually eat today, but met one of the monks outside. He stopped my friend and I asking if we were rockstars, complimenting us on our vibe which really picked us up. He talked to us about spirituality for a bit and gave me a book. I'll be living in London next year and will definitely return to actually sit in and eat because it looks LOVELY! The good reviews speak for themselves

I come to the temple to worship and not to buy anything, I appreciate the effort, but being to pushy on selling book on the entrance do not make a support. At the end of my visit and prayers I donate what I think is fair (and a bit more). Massive gratitude and respect. 🙏

Lovely place and a beautiful Hindu temple of lord Krishna. In London at Oxford street a best place to have Indian food in there food place. It is in four floor and well managed. First floor a neat and clean temple. The priest and devotees are too friendly. Get free Prasad. You can get all kind of books on lord krishans.

On Janmashtami, amidst the vast crowd, we patiently persevered in the queue, affirming that enduring the crowd was a small price to pay for such a divine and cherished sight.

Radhe Radhe everyone!! If you are a Krishna bhakt then you will find and eventually go to this place and love everything about it. However, I just want to share my experience at this place because I'm new to the UK and finding this place and going there was overwhelming thousands of miles away from home. When I visited this place, the first thing I found was a British guy in saffron attire who was singing Hare Krishna in a British accent which was quite fun and interesting. Once I entered the place, there were several British pandits and the Darshan room was on the first floor and the timings of the evening darshan are from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. You can have prasad of fruits and curd and gud (sugarcane cubes ) and sit peacefully for the darshan. You can click photos and videos and also do a video call freely. Additionally, there is a shop on the second floor where you can buy Krishna goodies and clothes and idols. I have attached all images and videos for reference

I have been here for wisdom Wednesdays held from 6pm. Includes group chat, variety of guided meditation and with music and chanting. Really takes you away from city life in this bust part of London. Always good vibes and very welcoming for everyone and those new to this type of thing. The monks are very friendly and open to share

First visited here in 1985. A spiritual oasis in the centre of the mire of London. ISKCON Hare Krishna Temple. Beautiful deities of Sri Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Sri Jagannath - Baladeva - Subhadra. Restaurant, Govinda's downstairs that serve pure vegetarian (no egg) sumptuous food. Well worth a visit if you're in London and interested in spiritual life. Jaya Prabhupada 🙏🏼 🌈 🕉

Loved the place. Nice ambiance and good tasting food. For over 50 years, the Radha-Krishna Temple has served as a spiritual oasis for thousands of Londoners and visitors from all over the world. Whether you are looking for a peaceful space to reflect, an opportunity to learn more about spirituality and wisdom from the East, or just curious to try our world-famous vegetarian cuisine - a warm welcome awaits you.

Visited the place relying on Google Maps, which indicated the temple was open. Upon arrival, discovered the deity was resting, allowing only a view of the temple. Disappointing experience; suggest displaying deity darshan timings. Enjoyed the mahaprasad, but found it odd that we were asked (more like a bit forced convincing) for donations before entering the temple, and then again after having the mahaprasad. I think donations should be voluntary.

This was the first time I wasn't to the temple. It's great to have a spiritual Hindu temple in the heart of Central London where you can spent a couple of hours in peace. Apart from the worship and prayer times everyday, meditation and other classes are held (timetable on website). Weekends are quite busy especially on the festival days like Rathyatra or Janmastami. So I have avoided these days even for the main temple in Watford. Weekdays are great to visit but the restaurant is always crowded during lunchtime. Even local office workers flood in for the incredibly delicious (but pure vegetarian), thalidomide deals. Best thing is that they do not believe in or encourage wasting. Groceries near expiry are collected from supermarkets and cooked in their huge kitchen in the basement. Volunteering in the kitchen is encouraged by devotees and I personally enjoyed helping out in the kitchen. Food is of course incredible. I didn't like the juices though, they were too sweet for my taste. They also gave a shop on the top floor and the incense are highly recommended.

The temple is so pretty and peaceful for a busy city like London. I couldn’t believe the first time I came here, this temple is right in the centre of a really busy city. Great atmosphere, beautiful statues and well maintained facilities. Temple is free to visit for anyone. Management need to be better when it comes to giving to people. When I visited temple on one occasion there was an event going on outside, people who were visiting were told that if they had not volunteered for the event they couldn’t get food from the van. Going with Prabhupradji’s example all people should have fed, who came to the temple or asked for the food instead of being turned away.

This place has awesome vibes. It's peaceful and Divine. You can just sit there and meditate for hours and you'll love the peace. There is a restaurant just below the temple who serves vegetarian food in low prices. Must try their drinks and desserts. The food is pure and simple yet tasty.

A truly blessed and spiritual experience awaits at Govinda's Restaurant! The atmosphere exudes tranquility, making it an ideal haven for those seeking spiritual nourishment. The healthy, authentic, and pure vegetarian food is a culinary delight that not only satisfies the palate but also resonates with a sense of well-being. Hare Krishna, Hare Rama! Highly recommended for a soulful dining experience.

  • 5/5 Soham B. 1 year ago on Google
This lovely place is located in the SOHO area on a relatively quiet street. About 14 - 15 mins walk from Piccadilly Circus. The main temple is on the 1st floor. There is a boutique shop on the 2nd floor. Govinda's vegetarian/ satvik restaurant is on the street level just adjacent to the temple main entrance. Please consult ISKCON London website to get a correct update on the darshan timings

Best temple in all of London. The restaurant on the ground floor serves authentic India food at a reasonable cost with good quality and taste.

  • 1/5 Just J. 2 years ago on Google
Offered me “free” books on the street and then pressured me for a donation. Said I’d give them £10, apparently this wasn’t enough for the “free” books and kept putting pressure to give more. In the end I paid 15£ out of guilt as they came across as kind people and built a rapport to hide their true intentions which was to make a sale only then to be disappointed with a £10 donation and trying to guilt me until I gave 15£. This was on Oxford street at Christmas

Most peaceful place one would come across in this choas. The temple is just few minutes walk from oxford circus. It is located just besides Govindas restaurant. The temple is very serene with beautiful idols of Lord Krishna and Radha. There are cartain timings of the temple to visit for aarti and the best part is you get mahaprasad which is the food offered to lord. There are devotees from many parts of different countries who come here for darshan. One should definitely visit the temple to seek blessings.

Must try Govinda thali and tea in restaurant very tasty. Try to attend evening Arti. So you can have shopping from Oxford Street, puja, kirtan and eat in restaurant.
