Would never recommend staying here unless you are desperate. The staff are friendly, but there is nothing the staff can do about the conditions of the stay. I'm sure its student friendly as it is cost effective, but it's all relative to how much sleep you would like to have. If you happy with no sleep then go for it. If you need sleep, you will not get it in this place unless you are lucky enough to have one of the rooms in the basement. The basement actually is the best place to stay there as it has the cleaner rooms (if you are lucky), obviously you will have to bare with the noisy street, but that is standard in London living. Any other rooms will be disgusting, noisy, smelly and falling apart (indoor smoking seems to be fine there). Oh another tip, make sure you get a room as far away from the lift as possible. Good luck.

I was supposed to stay there for 6 nights, i left the “hotel” after just one night. Small and noisy superior room, bed with spring mattress old and uncomfortable, it did not allow me to sleep and in the morning I woke up with back pain (never felt anything worse) It isn’t a 4 star hotel, at best it’s a bad 3 stars (as found in all the signs displayed inside the hotel)… they didn't want to refund me for the 5 night that i have not used, no problem I’m happy to change hotel. I am a hotel manager and have never done a review because I respect people's work, but in this case I feel compelled to do so to prevent other travelers from having a similar experience, stay away.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. The reception was open 24 hours a day and this offers security to the visitor. The breakfast was satisfactory. There were sweet and savory varieties. The hotel is very well located. You can find several underground (Queensway & Bayswater) and buses in a 5 min walk. Also, a good selection of many different restaurants two streets away and a nice pub at the corner. On the other side, the room was small but had a great view of the square garden. Also, the central window in the room did not open completely, as a result the room could not be well ventilated. This was done for safety reasons, but it was awkward. The rooms need small improvement. Thank you for the hospitality Park Avenue Bayswater Inn Hyde Park. We would like to repeat.

The room was really small. We ordered the double bed room and in the picture it looks at least a queen size, but it was closer to a full. I'm wondering about how well the rooms are cleaned also. There were fake eyelashes still stuck on the wall and a bar of soap on the top of the shower. The service was good. The people at the desk were pleasant and allowed me to take my wife some breakfast in bed. I asked for some spoons for the tea and they provided them. The location was alright. It's about 10 minutes from where all the shops are at least for the area. There's a bunch of pubs and markets nearby within walking distance.

Even after seeing some bad reviews we took the risk and booked it. The experience was very good. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also good. We missed some tomatoes and olive oil, but we enjoyed it. Our bedroom was in the basement and the only view was a wall with a window. The good thing was that location made our room quieter. The hotel is very well located. You can find several underground and buses in a 5 min walk. Also a good selection of many different restaurants two streets away and a nice pub at the corner. We would like to repeat.

After reading some grim reviews we were slightly apprehensive before arriving at the Bayswater Inn, but on arrival we found that it was very welcoming and the staff were more than helpful especially as we were slightly early and didn’t expect to be able to check in, we were really pleased when we were told our room was ready and we could check in straight away. Our room was very clean and tidy even though we didn’t have a good view it didn’t bother us, The beds were comfortable and clean, our room was serviced on a daily basis and the beds were changed daily, we were there for four nights the lovely house keeper on floor one for our room 101 was so lovely, polite and caring and didn’t intrude please pass on our thanks to her! The breakfast was good value well organised and the staff were constantly checking there was always enough food, they were also very polite and helpful and worked hard. we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Thank you all.

We came to the Park Avenue BaysWater Inn hotel. When we arrived staff were very wonderful and warm welcome. The room which we booked online we got that exact room. Wonderful service from the staff. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay and we will be coming back.

I really don’t understand why this hotel has only 3.0 in rating here on Google Maps. I was here with my two children for 3 nights. First off all the price was very good compared to rest off London. Second, the girls at the reception are all so friendly and with a welcoming attitude. Third, the bathroom has a big walk-in shower and a good one. Fourth, coffee machine in room. And finally the breakfast was great. In the neighbourhood are many good small restaurants. There 5 - 7 minutes walk to 2underground stations. Then there a beautiful walk through Hyde Park to Natural History Museum.

Would not recommend this to anyone. Off to a bad start when the reception lady was very rude and just wanted us gone from the counter. Then we get to the room to find it’s on the basement floor, not a massive problem but we had no cell reception so had to go up every time we needed to make calls which we did often. The room was very small, not well cleaned and very rough around the edges. No aircon only a cheap fan that didn’t do much at all. Kids running around the hallway until 1am and even knocked on our door (parents did nothing about it). Super terrible stay and will never return to this place ever.

A very pleasant welcome from the reception staff. Nice sized room, for London, with comfortable bed. Decent furnishings, for extra stars would be looking for newer and fresher, but for value for money. Very nice location.

I think some of the reviews here are over exaggerated. Did a last minute booking here, 538 £ for 3 nights for a family of 4. Room was small but was enough. Beds were clean but not really comfortable. Soundproofing was not great but did not bother my stay. Great internet speed with good coverage. Clean bathrooms with new towels shampoo and soap added daily. Working TV, remote was not working. No mini refrigerator in the room. The room has heating and AC. The electric kettle was not clean. Great location and fast check-in process. All and all it’s an efficient hotel with no frills, for a last minute booking at this location and this service at this price range, your other options are going to be worse.

Where do I start.. The Double Room (room 206) was so small it was barely enough space for two slim people to walk past each other. The bed was unstable and felt like it can fall apart with a bit of movement. The walls were hollow so we could hear everything the bloke (staying in next room) was saying whilst on the phone. Which was frustrating and the hotel management's fault for not adding adequate sound insulation. The single chair by the coffee table had stains and so the only place you'd want to sit on is the bed. But the worst part of our stay was the creaking cieling joists/floor boards on the floor upstairs. The first night of our 2 night stay was awful. Couldn't sleep because of it. If you value your sleep either find another room on another floor at Park Avenue Bayswater Inn Hyde Park, or spend a bit more and go elsewhere. This place could be awesome (as location is great) if they invest in renovating a little more and sort the above issues out.

Terrible. The worst Hotel I have ever been. The rooms are a like a shoe box the door nearly hits the bed. I had a leaking gutter outside my window all night. I told the staff and he admitted it was poor building state. I filmed it and provided video evidence which the duty manager (Dilan) wouldn’t accept. He was abrupt and frankly rude. They tried their hardest to not refund me but with my persistence and video evidence there was nothing they could do. I fear many people will look at this hotel as a cheap option but I would not recommend it.

I stayed in the duplex which was quite small with barely any room to hold one's stuff. They only give you complimentary drinking water and shower items on the check-in day. They serve the exact same breakfast everyday and don't bother to keep the meals hot. The rooms are quite clean, but if you stay there long enough, like I did (more than a week), you notice that, depending on who's doing the cleaning, they might do a shoddy job. The staff are friendly and will address your concerns speedily.

Hotel was nice, staff were friendly and helpful. on check in we were told we had been upgraded, when we got to room, it had a double bed up against a wall and a single bed. Bed was hard to get in and out off as one had to sleep against the wall. Mattress was uncomfortable, and worn. TV was so high you could only watch it lying down. Ensuite was clean, had to ask for teabags etc on arrival. Housekeeping had come in after we left room to go to a function, and when we came back lights and key card left in by house keeping. Nothing replaced as towels were replaced earlier on In day so no need for them to come into the room. Breakfast was disappointing as a lot of it was cold. However hotel was in a good location would go back but not in the room. I was given

Avoid. We stayed 3 days. No security at all, I found my room's main door left open after housekeeping on the second day, the hotel is not responsible of any missing personal item , this is clearly stated on a disclaimer that we found after check-in on the room door. For 3 days the toilet bin was never emptied. Walls are gypsum board partitions , no sound insulation, room size extremely small. Long hair found in bed and in kettles even after cleaning. Definitely not a 4 stars hotel.

Loved it here this was my second time staying in this hotel group. My first time I was in the sister hotel J Hyde Park. I enjoyed my stay then and it was no different this time either I enjoyed my stay even a little bit more I'd say. Rooms are nice and clean with a full ensuite bathroom, shower and bath. Coffee Machine in room and Kettle along with drinking glasses, cups and saucers bottles of wine water, hot chocolate, English tea milk instant coffee as well. Staff are friendly helpful and are very polite. The hotel was also quiet too, one didn't hear other guest doors and was able to rest easy. Highly Recommended 5G💥 Stars. I will be staying here again soon.

With a budget hotel you get what you pay for. The room was comfortable and clean, but the walls were very thin and you could hear every movement. The location is close to a tube station, but still a 10 minute walk. Overall it was a good experience but I'd rather pay a little more and be closer to the centre

Great location, few minutes walk from Hyde Park, shops, restaurants, tube stations. Lovely room, breakfast and staff. Only reason not 5 stars is the shower was weak and the tap sprayed. Ensuite was otherwise lovely too. Would definitely go back.

Pretty good. Room was small and the shower was not good at all (hot and cold). Staff were friendly and efficient. Very drunk and obnoxious guest shouting and swearing at staff just trying to do their job put a damper on the stay. Not really the hotels fault but wasn't dealt with very well. Good value for money though.

Avoid this place if possible. When we checked in the room was not clean, despite them telling us we couldn't check in earlier than 3 as the rooms were being cleaned. There were bags of rubbish and old towels from previous tenants in our room. Even hairs from previous tenants on our beds! The beds are creaky and uncomfortable, The elevator consistently smells like cigarettes despite it being non smoking. Even our cups weren't clean when we checked in. We had to ask for shampoo as well, as they hadn't resupplied our room. The cost of the room Vs the size is completely not worth it. The only good thing about this place is it's well serviced by public transport and close to Hyde park. The area was nice, but the place was incredibly unenjoyable to stay in.

OK - so first the good things. It’s reasonably priced and in a decent Location. And the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was initially given a room in the basement - but it was cell like and grim with no window. The staff changed it for a room on the 2nd floor. Much better. But the hotel lacks style and class and feels like a hostel. The rooms really need a bit of va va voom. All rather tired and basic. Bed creaked and walls paper thin. Lots of noise. I know you get what you pay for but this needs work.

Disgusting and Nightmare. Nothing at all. It was a nightmare. This place is no worth for the money paid, unclean - just dirty everywhere - found previous tenant’s hair in our bed and toilet, lift not working properly, unhelpful staff, window looked out into a cement wall! We had breakfast included but i just left the breakfast without having any because i found human hair in the mushroom. The bed was just uncomfortable and pillow gave me neck pain. On top of all that on the final day, the AC just didn’t function properly so we had to sleep with the window open and it was raining! I will not recommend this place to anyone! Please do not go here.

Nice enough, the rooms are a bit tired looking, reception is nice, breakfast smells nice (yet to have it if I'll even bother) strangely you have to have identification to book in (passport, drivers licence are the only 2 they accept) even if you live in this country. They don't tell you if breakfast is included and the rooms have the smallest TV in the world. Does have aircon and a good coffee machine in the rooms. Lifts work and it's quiet. I've stayed in over 400 different hotels in the UK, never been asked for a passport or drivers license. Stayed in the Hilton last week in London, they didn't ask for it 😊 in response to their (it isn't strange) each to their own tho £150.00 if anyone is interested in the price I paid (one night, no breakfast included)

We had a great stay here. We shared a triple room on the 3rd floor. The room was fab, and there was plenty of room for all 3 of us. Staff were nice and friendly 🙂 Room was bright, comfortable, and clean. The location is ideal for visiting the sights and safe for returning late at night. We will stay again and I would recommend for anyone looking for good accommodation near Hyde Park.

Had booked a standard room. The room was okay, a bit small in my opinion. Washroom was nice and clean. Walking distance from Bayswater underground station. Check-in and check-out was smooth. The room was equipped with safe lock, hair dryer and coffee maker. The instructions for the heater setting could have been provided before hand. We were half dead when we came back to the hotel at night. When we turned it on it made some on and off noises similar to a running tap. After contacting the service desk, a workaround was given but since we were too sleepy, we went to bed without the heater on.

I went with some friends and the room was great. The staff was really kind and explained everything that we should know. Also the cleaning service is great and the buffet is really nice despite not being really big. If I came back to London, I'd probably come back here.

The location of this hotel cannot be faulted. Central to Oxford Circus/Green Park/Hyde Park but unfortunately the rooms let it down. We had a lower ground floor. We had a twin room - one bed had stained bedsheets, the other had lots of hair (not mine) on it. The carpet was stained and the whole room was tired. The dressing table area looked like it had never seen a duster. The bathroom was cleaner but the towels were stained and the shower didn't adjust the height - it was broken and apparently not worth fixing. It was not a relaxing stay and despite the good location I would not recommend.

The hotel was in a nice location, and a reasonable price considering the location in London. The room was a little small, however our main complaint is regarding the hotels standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Upon arrival, we soon discovered that dirty laundry/underwear from the previous guests had not been removed from our room! Frustratingly, even after raising this issue at reception, the offending articles were never removed!!
