The hotel is situated in a good location, walking distance from King's Cross Station. We took a room with a window. The style of the hotel is relatively modern, the room definitely needed some refurbishment as it was quite worn and tear all over the place. We probably would be OK with that as it a budget hotel, but windows and sound insulation is just unacceptable. It was terrible. The windows didn't close properly at all, and all the noise was coming from the busy street outside. It was nearly impossible to sleep during nighttime, as the hotel is situated on a very busy street even during the nighttime. Also, all those cracking squeaking noises coming from the ceiling, walls and everywhere else was very worrying and we felt that the ceiling might fall down any time. The en-suite area was clean and tidy, they have a very nice smell of hand soap and plenty of towels. However, the bed.... we are still confused what's the purpose of that bed. It supposes to be a double bed, but most likely it was just a large single bed. We barely fit there. Also, it was so high and bouncy and uncomfortable. The only purpose for that bed we could think of is either kid bouncing or ... well, adults bouncing 😉 other than that, it's definitely terrible for sleeping. The big advantage was breakfast. I think everyone is already tired of the "full English breakfast". Therefore we really enjoyed with light breakfast, various yoghurts, muesli, fresh bakery and all the coffees you can think of. However, a great breakfast hasn't justified terrible bed quality and all the noise coming from the street. It is probably a great budget hotel if you are a student coming just to sleep over after a few drinks last night and noise level and comfortable sleep is not a top priority for you. But if you are a tourist, I would pick a different hotel.

For a single night’s stay this is a good option to consider. Checking in late at nice was painless and the reception staff friendly. The corridors are a bit of a maze but my room on the second floor was quiet, being far away from the lifts and high footfall areas. The room was an open plan design, with coat hangers on the wall without having a wardrobe, no desk but a couple of pull down shelves, but storage otherwise wasn’t bad - there’s some shelves next to the bed, a digital safe and a large shelf in the bathroom. The large mirror behind the bed made the room feel slightly larger and not too cramped, and the colourful mood lighting worked well and made it feel homely despite the wooden floor. The TV was a good size for the room with decent picture quality although there’s no drink facilities in the room at all. The view from the room was very basic and overlooked by lots of other windows. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean and although the shower was very small it worked well with good power and heat, with shower gel being provided. Towels were decent enough. There’s a lot of affordable options in the area and being a little further away from the key locations means it’s a little less value for money, but I’d consider it again for a sound night’s sleep.

The room I booked was small (but this is central London), clean and newly refurbished. The staff have been really helpful, are really approachable, and easy to talk to. The location is great for access to King's Cross & St Pancras stations if you have an early start. Also, it's good if you are just out and about in town.

Booked and paid for a twin room with myself and my father. We were here for 2 night. Both nights we were left sleeping in the same bed as all the twin rooms were over booked. After the first night we we promised a twin room the second night. Never has this happened. The guy serving us was very nice and apologetic but it was the staff before him that said our room "Wasn't ready now and we had to wait for it to be cleaned". Very poor service and would encourage anyone never to book again with this crowd. Truly shocking. Will expect a refund.

Amazing location, very easy to find from King's Cross area. The area itself does not feel very safe at night but I was aware of this when I booked the hotel. We booked the windowless cozy room because we were on a tight budget - it was ok for 2 people for a couple of nights but any longer and I think we would have cabin fever. Next time I will pay for a windowed room because it was very weird waking up without daylight. The room itself had everything you need though, shower, toilet and sink were clean and modern, TV worked great. Breakfast and the lobby was my favorite part. Everything was portioned out into cute little bowls already so all you had to do was grab them and go. A great selection of pastries, cereal, fruit and hot drinks. I would definitely stay again.

This was the strangest hotel stay I’ve ever had in my entire life. The “room” is TINY! It measured under 100 square feet, including the bathroom. It would more accurately be described as a capsule, rather than a room. It was so small that we felt like we hadn’t even gotten off the airplane. The “double” bed was barely large enough for one person to fit on, let alone two. It was also firm and not comfortable in any way. There was one window, measuring 2x2 feet. It had a view of a derelict alley and some construction. The bathroom is nothing much to speak of, and has a small sink, toilet and standing shower. The shower head position cannot be adjusted in any way and water pressure is lacking. The door also has no lock. Housekeeping also did not clean the room or make the bed at any point during the 4 night stay. They did enter the room to drop off new towels on a daily basis though, interestingly. In July, for 4 nights, the total came out to close to $1000. I wouldn’t recommend this “hotel” to anyone. It’s almost a capsule hotel. I’m rating this a 1/5 for incredibly deceptive advertising.

It's located not too far from kingscross station. The place is nice, clean and the restaurant looked small. The rooms also seemed small for two people. Our night there, was great and they serve good breakfast

The staff were mostly nice, and my main reason for picking this hotel was the location near St. Pancras. Breakfast was good too. But cleaning staff and cleaning in general was hideous. I’ll give it minus 5 out of 5 stars. I stayed for 4 nights—my garbage (picture attached) was there from Sat evening to Tuesday. The bed wasn’t made either. Bathroom not cleaned. Nothing. It was disgusting to walk back in room after spending all day outside to this filth. Will I come back to this hotel? Probably not. There’s lots of hotels in the area and I’ll pick one of them for my next visit to London.

If there is a place that wants to make the most out of their guests, it’s definitely this one. BEWARE! The best part was probably the location and the booking process, because once at the hotel everything started to go south. Upon our arrival at around 11am we were told we could not check in because the rooms were not ready and that we would have to leave our luggage in one of their rooms. Upon our return from walking around the city, we were finally able to get our rooms. To our surprise, one of the two rooms we had booked, the double one, looked nothing like the pictures (both on the hotel’s website and/or Booking). The double room we got was a shoe box, the smallest one on the floor as per the blueprints with almost no space to move around, tiny bed for two people, tiny bathroom. Therefore, I complained to one of the staff members, who was kind enough to check the room and assured me he would leave a note so we could switch rooms the next day. To my surprise, I was told that many people in central London want to make the most out of tourists and that this might be the reason why the hotel gets so many complaints about the rooms not matching the agencies descriptions. However, despite having checked both the hotel’s website and several booking sites, the pictures displayed are exactly the same. Furthermore, it was mentioned that we were allocated such a tiny room because we checked in late, despite having been told that our rooms were not ready. Next day morning, I went downstairs to inquire for the new room but there was no note left about the complaint, nor the request to switch rooms, so I had to explain everything again to the lady at reception. Instead of trying to solve the issue, she tried to talk me out by saying “but you’re checking out tomorrow”, which triggered quite some noticeable anger after not resting well. Therefore, she instructed me to checkout, drop the key card, and assured me that the new room was already allocated and that we could have it by the evening. However, and again, to our additional disappointment, upon our arrival in the afternoon, the receptionist had no clue about our situation. Again, there were no reports, no requests, nor allocated rooms. After a third explanation and some calls, we were finally able to head to our room (the one that we had actually booked and matched the booking description). Yet, we could not sleep well due to the annoying and creepy sound of the elevator. The cherry on the top was when, despite the issues with the rooms, we asked to leave our luggage on hold until our departure, and we were told that there was a free allowance for only ONE piece of luggage per room, which is absolutely ridiculous, when a double, and/or twin rooms are booked. We ended up paying without even being offered to store our stuff as a courtesy.

rooms are good and have everything you need. they are quite small but still cozy. everything is clean and modern. breakfast doesn't have a wide variety, however they have nice warm pastries. make sure to book a room with a window!

I stayed here for a few nights with my fiancé and I HIGHLY recommend against staying at this location unless you're traveling solo. I also don't recommend staying at this hotel either if you're a light sleeper. The room was so small that my fiancé and I constantly had to budge through each other and it felt like being on an airplane at times. The AC was super dirty too which made it all the more worse. The bed was uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep and you could hear guests outside your room slamming doors and talking so crystal clear that it was like they're next to you. Other issues were there was no fridge, kettle, closet etc. The elevator can barely fit two people in at a time either even though it says a max of 4 people. I would NOT return.

This budget hotel went above and beyond my expectations. I showed up at the worst possible time at 8 am in the morning during their breakfast and checkout rush and would have considered myself lucky to just drop bags and go jet lag Zombie around London for seven hours waiting for checkin to open but Alex one of their staff went above and beyond to find me a room to early check in in. Offered coffee breakfast while I waited even. Other than that the room was clean, bed comfortable, location fantastic. I would go again. Thanks Alex and team for the wonderful work your team did.

Just a few blocks from King's Cross and St. Pancras so it's a perfect location for travelers. Be warned that the rooms are SMALL, especially by American standards. But that being said they are very modern, well designed, and comfortable. And be honest, you're only here to sleep, not live, so you shouldn't be in the room much. The lobby is comfortable with a bar and areas for relaxing and socializing. Staff were consistently helpful and friendly. An AC issue was quickly taken care of while we were out for the day. Elevators are VERY TINY! Barely room for 2 people and 2 suitcases, so be warned. We would definitely stay here again!

Based on the reviews I expected the room to be super small. It was actually a very reasonable size for London. The bed was very comfortable and the built in air conditioning was a must have for London in the summer. I would recommend this place to single person or couple staying for the weekend or a few days in London.

This is a low cost budget hotel located in the King's Cross area. The hotel location is good with good connectivities. As expected rooms are on small side. A buffet breakfast is available for hotel guests. Cleanliness is good. Facilities are well maintained. WiFi is available and stable with reasonable speed. Staff members are professional, friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. Both cash and cards are accepted here.

Customer Service is excellent. The staff are a credit and added to our experience. First time using and compares very well with Travelodge and Premier Inn. Customer service made the difference. Very quiet and was all we required on a short tourist break. I would recommend and will definitely use again.

Weekend trip to London with 6 girls, 3 rooms each with a single bed each. Room & hotel had everything you would expect & need. The location was perfect 10 minutes walk from tube & train station. 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross Coal Drops Yard that had some lovely restaurants & bars. Also number of pubs with 2 minutes walk. Number of shops very close including Coop where you can pick up any essential. I would recommend & go again to Point A Kings Cross. Excellent value for money!

Lovely room, modern but basic. Had good space for luggage and belongings. Disappointing that there was no complimentary tea or coffee either in the room or at reception. Even had to pay for as little as boiling water :/ Always had clean bins and towels whenever we came back to the room but the rest of the room only got cleaned (bed made) 2 or 3 times during our 7 day stay.

The male night shift reception with full beard was very rude. They gave us the wrong room and put us in an occupied room. The reason is because the person in this room has the same name as me. The male reception actually said that Chinese people all have the same names. It made me feel very rude and discriminated against. Fortunately the lady was very helpful. Thank her from the bottom of my heart.

How would I describe my stay at Point A – King’s Cross? Exhausting and utterly disappointing! I am disabled and booked two rooms for four people (a disabled double, and a standard twin). I called a month before to try to get two rooms near each other and ensure one was wheelchair accessible. They did not have two near each other that way, which was fine. With travel, a flight delay, a layover, and a luggage issue at Heathrow our travel took 19 hours. We arrived about 11:35 PM local time. When checking in I asked if my room was accessible (I was in an electric wheelchair) and the person was very short and didn’t really answer the question. I asked again and he repeated himself, slightly louder, and sounded exasperated. We went to the room and it was so small, my wife had to fold the chair to get it all the way into the room. I contacted Hotels.com immediately as I had booked it through them and did not want to talk to the hotel staff again. I thought I would have to find another hotel because I couldn’t function here. I had to struggle getting off the commode and my wife had to help me climb into the very tiny shower as it was on a 4-5 inch rise. I almost fell twice, so I did a very quick shower and called it a night. The next day, my wife had to set up my chair facing straight out the door so I could get in it and leave the room. That evening someone else was at reception and I asked about my room being accessible. She asked if I booked an accessible room (I am in a wheelchair!), which I had. She says “That room is not accessible” and changes our room – no smile, no politeness, no apology, nothing. She points me in the general direction of a lift (it took a minute to find). My wife then had to move our luggage to our new room which was actually accessible. The two twin room for the rest of our party was only slightly bigger than the first room! They could barely move around. Cleaning was hit or miss. Their beds weren’t made or floor even swept a couple of days. To make matters worse, they “threw out” an entire package of sanitary products that we had just bought! Aside from the terrible service and tiny rooms: there is no iron in the room; no refrigerator, no coffeemaker, no microwave, no chair (there is one small folding metal stool), no ice available anywhere; the hairdryer is hardwired into the wall… The only reason we did not leave was because (per communication from Hotels.com) Point A refused to give me a refund for the remaining nights if I left. Hotels.com did give me a credit for the first two days, but Point A should have been the ones to make it right. Now that we are on a train to France, I say good riddance and will never book with Point A in the future. I know I didn’t book luxury accommodations, but how hard is it to be courteous and just do your job? The person at checkout was equally impolite and dismissive. I wrote this review before we left, but couldn’t leave out the last bit of discourtesy. Tl;dr: Extremely small rooms, unpleasant staff, very few amenities.

Had booked room with accessible bathroom. Not available so ended up with a good sized bedroom and a very small bathroom, not really suitable for disabled. Okay for a night, reasonably priced and good position near King's Cross.

Location of the hotel is great. Rooms are small, but clean. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom small. Our room was located on the inside, so it was quiet. Breakfast should be more diverse, it had a lot of pastry. Wifi in our room was bad. We had to sit at the end of the bed that we get it at all. But overall the experience was ok. I would return back due to great location.

Great location, very poor room. The room was tiny, even by London standards. One of us had to move out of the way to let the other walk past. Bathroom even tinier. No tea or coffee in the room, nowhere to put suitcases, we had to stand them up the door. No hand towel for my hair. Very loud road noise. For £160 this was not value for money.

I've had a wonderful time staying here during my London trip. The hotel is only a brief walk away from King's Cross St. Pancras station, making it easily accessible from all over London. Our room was beautiful, quite large, and very clean, and everyone we've talked to has been kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place, as well as consider staying there again on my next visit!

  • 3/5 Fay C. 4 months ago on Google
Great location and a clean, if small, room. Be warned if you struggle to sleep with any lights on. There was a bright green light in the ceiling that kept me awake. I was told by reception that it's a legal necessity for windowless rooms below ground, which ours was. Fair enough, but it is BRIGHT for sleeping, so bear this in mind if lights interrupt your sleep.

Stayed here for 2 nights mid week in a windowless room. Very clean and quite comfortable. Staff are friendly and efficient. The noise from the AC will bother some light sleepers, although I found it actually helped me to sleep and drowned out the noise from neighbours. As some others have noted, the walls are quite thin and you can be disturbed if you are unlucky and you have someone inconsiderate next door. Shower was fine but not all that powerful. Overall for £63 very good value for central London. It’s not the Four Seasons but I wasn’t expecting it to be. Perfectly fine for a work trip.

This location is only 7 minutes walk from the underground and two major railroad stations. The room was clean and updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. And the price is ridiculously good. Dont book overpriced hotels if you only need a room in London to sleep and take showers and grab some fresh breakfast before you hit the road.

Stayed here for 3-night stay, I am loving the location that it is nearby the King's Cross Station and there are plenty of pubs, restaurants, café and convenience store in the area. Although the room is relatively small, it is still do-able when bringing a medium luggage. Staff are friendly and diverse, they are helpful for anyone who would like to store luggage before the check-in time. I also notice that the Housekeeping only takes out trash everyday and clean the whole room on the 3rd night. Will recommend to anyone who is looking for a short stay in London.

For a budget motel, I really like Point A Hotel in St Pancras. The location is very good (close to restaurants, Five Guys burger place, etc.). It is also walking distance to Kings Cross tube. The staff are friendly and, for the most part, welcoming. The rooms are OK size. Could be bigger but it is what it is for what you pay for. Apparently, you get free breakfast if you reserve directly. We didn't get one because we reserved through hotels dot com. The breakfast is good from what it looks like.

The hotel has superb location and good price to quality ratio. Breakfasts are cold, but very healthy, with many cereal, buns, joghurts and fruits to pick from. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms are small but clean. We got probably the cheapest room, without window, but it made it very warm, which was perfect for the cold weather. There is AC though, if someone feels too warm. There was no kettle in the room, but we easily got hot water at the reception. Only real disadvantage is the bed. Is too high and too bouncy, which made it quite impossible to sleep well. Otherwise, totally recollection.

We stayed here for a few days. The location is amazing, 5 minutes from Kings Cross Station. The room, small, but clean, same for the bathroom. Fab aircon (we stayed on the hottest day of the year 40.3C!). Breakfast, good selection, tasty. Staff, helpful and polite and courteous. Especially Francoise, who emailed me back quickly, after I found out there was delays on our flight, and assured us our room was saved for us. Lovely girl with a huge smile. Bad points...erm none really. As far as we could see all the guests seemed as happy as us. A mix of visitors, business, small families, couples of different age groups. We will stay again. In fact thinking of booking for later in the year and I'm only just home!

Room was basic but very clean. Brilliant air conditioning. Bed comfortable I was facing inside so it was very quite. If I was travelling for work I'd definitely stay again but not ideal for a romantic weekend away as its a budget hotel, but doing a very good job for the money paid.

This hotel is okay. In a good location and clean. The rooms are tiny and everything is slightly worn out. But if you are looking for an inexpensive option close to kings cross this is ok. I recommend bringing earplugs and a eye mask. The road is noisy and the curtains aren’t great. If you are a heavy or very tall person you probably won’t fit in the shower.

  • 2/5 Amy P. 2 years ago on Google
Good location close to King's cross, however was expecting more. Had a room with a window but on the ground floor so had no view through frosted glass. Room very small and not very cozy. The cleaners were cleaning and hoovering outside the door at 8-30 which woke us up. This hotel is convenient for the location but if you want a relaxing city break would not recommend.

Decent bed, decent shower. Solid hotel choice for a short stay and to form a base for a London visit

  • 5/5 James M. 2 years ago on Google
The staff were really friendly and welcomed us in from a very early train journey with a cup of tea to warm us up on a cold morning. The rooms are basic however are spotlessly clean and the beds are really comfy. For the price and the quality I really can’t fault it and have visited several times since. Great location with loads going on around.

  • 4/5 Colin J. 1 year ago on Google
Very convenient, basic but functional room. The downside is the noise of Grey's Inn Road. My room was on the front of the hotel which received a medley of horns, sirens and other loud traffic from 5am. The dated glazing provided little protection. I'll return, but insist on a room around the back.

Very reasonable priced, friendly staff but to only have 1 plug in a double room 🙄...really. If you are on the larger side don't book here if you want to use your bathroom. All it all was still happy with choice, very central .

Is a good located hotel and recommended just if you’re staying just one night in London. Some of the politics you’ve to think about before booking: - You must confirm that the pictures of the room you're booking correspond to the room they are giving you. - we didn’t have the opportunity to have breakfast while the rooms were ready. - Cleaning rooms policy - They don’t clean the room, change towels or check your personal cleaning elements such as shampoo, body soap (3 days in a row). That’s why is just good for one night and few people. If you have kids, for sure you can search for a better option. - when you check out you must pay for more than 1 bag (or other element) for storage if you want to continue visiting London. Even if in the room are 2 people staying, you just can storage 1 bag (for sure you’ve done shopping and came from your country with more than one bag). Conclusion: If you’re coming for business or just for visit London in one day is good, but good cleaning and services are limited.

The room is small but fair for its price in central London. Our room is without window. The hotel is new and modern overall. Traffic is convenient. The staff are nice and friendly. One of the staff Issac was helpful in helping me with the phone charging problem. The breakfast and coffee is nice with limited choice from a small hotel. Budgeted choice.
