Best gym Iā€™ve used! Fantastic energy and also small enough to have a friendly and welcoming vibe, the kind of place where everyone knows your name. All the instructors seemed to really know their stuff whilst also being down to earth and friendly. The classes were so fun I wasnā€™t aware of how hard I was working.

The strong mother classes have been a total lifesaver on my maternity leave. Becca, Stu and Pat are all totally awesome and provide great strength based classes in a super supportive environment. Beccaā€™s kettle bell classes are also amazing. I just couldnā€™t recommend highly enough. I would come every day if I could.

Great local gym! Tricky to locate it, in the new location, behind the London Fieldā€™s playground. Really Nice and professional trainers! Paying attention to the detail! Advising and being there for questions and recommendations. They genuinely enjoy teaching you and seeing you improving. Definitely Not a typical money oriented class/session setup. It gives you this nice free style gym feel, on top of great workout plans! Targeting muscle groups and pushing your limits slowly. Small groups, not cluttered. I wish it had more time / day options to make a daily plan for wholistic workout week šŸ‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø The proper winter chill kick to get your day started (I still canā€™t believe I do that šŸ˜‚) but they definitely motivate you for it!

To be honest I have always been the type of guy that would always have a gym membership but never really goes on a regular basis. Since I joined Stu's gym 10 months ago all of that has changed. The gym has a great atmosphere and I cannot imagine the trainers being more supportive and helpful. The classes are hard as you want them to be but it is also a lot of fun. Really important - a great deal of time is spent improving technique and the exercises are taught to a very high level. I have learned a lot. Highly recommended!

Fantastic space and atmosphere! Thoroughly enjoyed the session with much needed advice on technique and form.

Great variety in the training, and definitely getting stronger and fitter by the class

Great environment, classes, and instructors! Stu, especially, is always creating very good workouts and makes sure that your posture and technique are spot on. Every time I finish a workout I feel like my body worked at its best and using all my muscles, creating a very complete training where you mix strength and resistance. Highly recommended and great value!

I've been going to Fieldworks for the last 6-months of so and I highly recommend it - both the group classes and PT with Stu. Really good vibe and a great workout.

Stuart and Fieldworks gym are just what the Morphogenetic Intelligence ordered. Gyms can involve mindless repetitiveness, with poor practical and functional strength translations. Crossfit would be an option, if not for doing Olympic lifts for time, and the risk with injuries that doing heavy weights as quickly as possible- cue poor form - entails. Fieldworks strikes the perfect balance. Varied functional workouts that are different every time. Small groups so you can get the 1:1 support to monitor your form. A balls to the wall hour long workout that has you dripping with sweat. Sweet spot timings like 7am, and 630pm. Bodyweight, kettlebell, barbell and 'strong mother' classes. From a place where my gym membership was lying completely unused, it's a boon to be able to get to a place where I'm working out everyday morning at 7am, and gutted if I miss even a single workout. And that's not even getting into the rollover benefits into the rest of my life that a solid workout regimen brings. Far and away the best gym I've ever trained at.

Want to do a proper weights gym class like you used to do before kids, then come to their Strongmother class - excellent instructors who really help you get the best out of your workout whilst appreciating a speedy breastfeed / few squats with baby in arms! I tried loads of mum and baby classes and this by far was the best!!

As a newbie to fitness (of any kind) I was pretty daunted by the prospect of turning up at the gym- especially one like Fieldworks which is built around group training and as such there is less opportunity to fade into the background. I neednā€™t have worried. The classes are attended by people with varying degrees of experience and plenty of total beginners like me. So you quickly get to that sweet spot where you feel comfortable but you also want to improve and push yourself. The classes vary with each trainer but all of them share a real focus on helping attendees improve or maintain their form and fitness whether thatā€™s the perfect squat or the ability to push past last weekā€™s breaking point!

Iā€™ve been going to classes at Fieldworks for a year and a half now and thanks to the team there my strength and fitness levels have grown substantially! As the class size is small this ensures that you always get the attention you need to improve technique, to prevent injury and also the push to progress. The gym team and the guys that head down there to train are super friendly and itā€™s great to workout in a welcoming environment where everyone gets the job done without ego or unhealthy competitiveness. After one class I was hooked and I highly recommend paying them a visit!!!

I started strong mother classes when my son was around two months old and have been coming pretty much every week since. I absolutely love it! The instructors are amazing and there is always so much variation in each session. I have surprised myself with how much fitter and stronger I have become, and just want to keep improving. Thank you all!

A great gym - Fieldworks has helped me get fitter than I thought I'd be - and have surprisingly enjoyed it. Challenging classes with inspiring trainers, an encouraging and supportive environment, and really reasonable rates. This isn't bootcamp - rather, the approach is to push but support along the way, with activities tailored to each person's abilities. Every time is different, so it's not boring and keeps everything feeling fresh.

Welcoming, friendly and fantastic - the gym is a great space where everyone from all levels and abilities train together. You really get a sense that Stuart and his team know you, your ability and how to get the best out of you - getting the best of both worlds with group training and a personalised experience you'd often only get with a personal trainer. Having been to quite a few gyms over the years, I can say Fieldworks strikes the perfect balance between competitive spirit and inclusivity, resulting in a community atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again.

Top notch training with best instructors around. You won't find better strength and conditioning classes anywhere, and they are suitable to all levels too. Best training possible!

I've tried all the gyms around London Fields and Fieldworks is by far the best. Classes are scaled for all abilities, each person is coached individually and there's a great atmosphere. Also a wide range of classes from strength training, conditioning to body weight skills. Stu and the team are excellent trainers.

  • 5/5 Lulu R. 6 years ago on Google
A really great gym with a good atmosphere and a focused approach to training for all abilities. Stu is incredibly helpful and really takes time to push everyone individually throughout the class. With small numbers and such dedicated instructions itā€™s feels like a personal training session.

A brilliant gym! I've been regularly attending group sessions here for the past year. Really friendly atmosphere and people. The sessions are as challenging as you need them to be!

I cannot recommend the Strong Mother classes enough. A very welcoming and friendly space with high quality trainers, who take great care to help you improve your technique and encourage you to push yourself. Itā€™s like having your own PT but better because you get to meet other mums and my wee one loves it too, much better than baby sensory! All the exercises are scalable so you can make it as challenging as you want. The classes have improved my strength and technique and given me confidence to lift weights independently as well. So good I started going to the regular classes too. Definitely the best thing I did on maternity leave.

The strong mother classes are absolutely brilliant, they helped me to build up some strength and confidence after my second pregnancy. The instructors all have their own style, but are all encouraging and create a lovely supportive atmosphere where everyone can go at their own pace. Stu even managed to get my baby to sleep while leading a class on more than one occasion. 100% recommend - so glad this class exists for all the mothers out there.

Fieldworks has by far one the best workout classes geared towards mothers in London. Iā€™ve been attending classes after having both of my children ww and I couldnā€™t be more pleased with the support theyā€™ve provided to gain back strength and power. While they are mindful of the fitness needs of post-natal mothers, they still give a proper workout where you walk away feeling youā€™ve left it all on the Mat. Seriously the best feeling. Stu and Becca are fantastic and encouraging trainers and I couldnā€™t be more pleased with the classes. Iā€™d be there everyday if I could!

During my 11 day holiday in London Fields I had the pleasure of doing a few strength and conditioning classes with Stu and his group at Fieldworks Gym. My experience over 3 sessions was awesome. Stu structures his sessions really well and takes the time to provide very constructive feedback to each person. The sessions were very challenging and rewarding. The studio had enough space for everyone and the people were welcoming. Everyone was just there to train and get better. I highly recommend Fieldworks Gym and Stu's sessions.

I'd previously trained privately with Stuart and was pleased to hear he'd opened his own space. I've just completed another suite of private sessions at Fieldworks and have now joined the group classes and it's terrific. The standard of coaching is incredibly high and the focus on strength, endurance and patience is really appreciated. This is a great gym that will really give you a proper grounding towards improving your form and endurance while exercising safely and sensibly.

Great gym with super friendly and knowledgable trainers! I try to go a few times a week and always have a good and fun work out! Definitely seen a massive improvement in my fitness since I started going 8 months ago - all thanks to Stu,Sam and Alice! Two thumbs up!

I have just completed a fantastic 10 week body strength course with Stu at Fieldworks. I'm a dedicated runner, a dutiful swimmer, and a cycling commuter, but I have always avoided gyms as they generally strike me as machine-focused, testosterone-driven places. My partner persuaded me to try out Fieldwork for strength training -- he'd done a special course for road-cyclists with Stu and had loved it. I went with low expectations and came away completely converted. No machines in sight -- Fieldworks is a spacious and airy gym with lots of strength-training equipment but more importantly, with excellent coaching. Stu clearly loves what he's doing and it comes through in his coaching. He'll work with you whatever your fitness level, gender, or age and he'll get the ebest out of you. The sessions were always varied, always well planned, and always both demanding and hugely enjoyable -- your entire body gets a wake-up call. I noticed the effect of the sessions on my running; the sessions quickly became one of highlights of my week and I'm already looking forward to the next set.

I have been scouring East London for quite some time to find a gym like Fieldworks. Stuart and the other trainers are fantastic and extremely welcoming. Despite having trained with kettlebells and free weights for over 6 years, in a very short time at Fieldworks, my technique and form have improved massively due to their tip top coaching! All in all a super friendly fun bunch of people to train hard with, you couldn't ask for more from a gym.

Fantastic gym. Knowledgeable trainers that push you to work harder than your ever thought you could! At the same time incredibly friendly and welcoming. Perfect for people of all strength and skill levels! Doesn't matter quite how you arrive, you're always going to leave a little stronger šŸ’Ŗ

Loving Fieldworks! The coaches are all knowledgeable, motivational, supportive, and bring great energy to the classes. I've not had one class yet where I've been disappointed (based on strength & conditioning and bodyweight classes). Classes are fun but leave you out of breath and ready to ache (in a great way), the other members are a friendly and hard-working bunch of people, coaches provide options to suit every level of fitness for each exercise, and you're encouraged to challenge and push yourself just that little bit more than you thought you could. Definitely addicted to my morning Fieldworks fix now.

Great gym and atmosphere. I've attended the Strong Mother classes and absolutely loved them throughout my MatLeave. Sad to have to go back to work and leave this group and the great training!

Great gym, friendly atmosphere, top-class trainers. The sessions are hard, which is exactly what you want if you want strength, mobility and fitness results to be quick... have tried out most of their classes and all were excellent.

I've been going to fieldworks gym for a few years now and can't recommend it highly enough. Small classes, very knowledgeable and inclusive trainers, comfortable, non competitive feel. They definitely push you though, and I always feel noticably fitter and stronger when I've been going with some consistency.

I've recently joined fieldworks and absolutely love it - classes are small so the teacher can support you when needed. Workouts are different every day which is brilliant so no chance to get complacent! Everyone is extremely friendly and patient :)

  • 5/5 Jack G. 6 years ago on Google
I can't fault the group training at Fieldworks Gym. The sessions are always scalable to ability so a real mixture of people participate and contribute to the motivational atmosphere. The trainers take great care in making sure that exercises are performed properly, my bad habits learnt from years of working out solo are slowly being corrected! I thoroughly recommend those interested to head down and pick up a kettlebell...

Stu and his team are fantastic. They know their stuff inside out and have a great sense of humour - saving my sanity and fitness during lockdown. I love the work outs because they can be tailored to all abilities and focus on making you strong, fit and flexible for the long-term. You'll be shown every exercise and given all the support you need to make sure you feel confident, and keep going even when you think you can't! Highly recommended

Without doubt the most knowledgable, hands on and open coaches in London. A great community vibe where all levels are welcome and supported! I can't recommend strongly enough - no matter where you are in your fitness journey.

Iā€™ve taken the standard and Strong Mother classes and loved both. Great workouts and the smaller class size allowed the trainers to tailor it to my needs. Strong Mother was also a great and supportive atmosphere! Canā€™t recommend this place enough!
