    - EXCESSIVE CANCELLATION FEES. If you sign up for membership and miss a class, they charge you the WHOLE fee ON TOP OF your membership fee. Therefore they force you to pay more per month instead of just forfeiting a credit. They donā€™t treat non-members like that and they canā€™t explain why they penalise members more than non-members (other than that they have membersā€™ credit card details). They donā€™t even call out the new onerous terms of becoming a member (compared to being a non-member) so itā€™s very easy to get stung! - EASY TO GET TRICKED INTO PAYING CANCELLATION FEES. If you sign up to the waiting list, they donā€™t tell you when youā€™ve got a bike - no email or app notification. You have to log in and check. Most people would assume theyā€™re still on the waiting list and havenā€™t got a bike. You can easily miss your session and have to pay the onerous cancellation fees explained above ***UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO 1Rebel*** Your response below does not explain why you treat members and non-members differently other than that you have membersā€™ card details so can easily pull payments (although youā€™re not complying with Direct Debit rules as I only authorised you to take payments for the monthly subscription; my credit card company are disputing the basis in which you took the payment since there was no authorisation). I had only budgeted for the monthly subscription price and now youā€™ve forced me to pay 100% more, even though I was happy to forfeit my bike credit to address the concerns you have below. You absolutely do not notify customers when theyā€™re off the waiting list. This has happened to so many of my friends.

Absolutely worth it. 10/10. 5*. Would give it more if I could! Every single team member I have interacted with has been excellent; friendly and great communication, and the facilities are brilliant. I trialled the "3 sessions for Ā£x" promo they had, and now I am a regular, going twice a week, and have been for the last year. My goal was not just to lose weight, but to feel I had a place there and wouldn't feel judged, and to become physically and mentally healthier. A year later, I've lost 5 stone and haven't been in a better place! Personally recommend trying a class with Kiri; if you don't feel like throwing up at the end, you haven't done it right šŸ¤£

The class was really fun and there was a person there to help get on the bicycles. It was definitely a good workout. The staff on Thursday were quite rude and very unwelcoming. Of all the studios, I didnā€™t think it could be worse than Kensington oneā€” it was. Besides the fact that she was not keen on explaining where anything is around the studio, she generally seemed like she wanted me to go away (let it be known, there was no one behind me queueing).

READ THIS BEFORE JOINING. I have been a loyal member of 1rebel for 2 years with a 10 classes per month pass, annual membership. While expensive, I enjoyed the classes and luxurious feel of the gyms. I have recently however been appalled at the customer service and complete lack of appreciation for changing personal circumstances. Whether you are injured, pregnant, seriously unwell or simply have a change in life circumstances that would shift your ability to attend the gym, 1 rebel policy (and staff) refuse to terminante a membership before it runs out. Be warned here - I am being forced to pay for 3 months of gym classes (you can access their website to see the astronomical cost of this) when I cannot use the passes due to personal circumstances, because I was on an annual membership. I explored all avenues to enable me to use the passes at a later date, pause or terminate to no avail. This is a money grabbing company that care about profit over customers entirely. Donā€™t be sucked into this brand like I was. I am appalled at this response. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY GYM I KNOW.

Definitely a good workout and a cool location. It's a bit too crowded and commercialized for my taste. More than 60 bikes in the studio, reception did not explain anything when I came in (where the changing rooms are, where to get the shoes, etc.), noone helps you to adjust the bikes, the view on the instructor from the balcony was very limited. Would probably rather go to one of the many other spinning studios in London.

The worst place ever and reception is out of order these two women are so rude they need to get fired how can you employ people like them with such a disgusting attitude! Get a training a professional where you can greet new customers in a professional manner. Iā€™ll make sure to pass my word to all my networks and people not to use this place.

Arrived at 6pm for a class that started at 6pm however they told me the door was locked and I couldnā€™t go in. Staff didnā€™t even pretend to care or try to let me in. Overall its a vacuous, highly superficial environment that seems to care more about looking cool than being kind to its customers.

The FOH staff at Victoria are amazing! They recognize their regular members by name and are always courteous in helping you with any queries you might have. I start every weekend with a Saturday morning Ride with Janine, who I think is the best ride/spin instructor in London. Her playlists are next level and she always bring great energy to the class!

Attended a reformer pilates in this studio. The vibe if the place is quite hip and cool. It was a bit difficult to hear the instructor because the music was too loud. Despite that, the class was good fun. Would probably not return but thatā€™s because of preference.

Love coming here for spin. Itā€™s fun rather than a chore. Lovely shampoo/ shower gel. Extra touches like the cold towels. More like a club than a fitness studio. Love a Prosecco Friday.

Good classes and experienced trainers but after my most recent session I got scolded by two receptionists, one with an American accent, for filling up my water bottle after a class. I assume they thought I was a mere passer-by, entering to replenish fluids but I had finished a spin not five minutes before, and then having just placed my cleats (which stink btw) in the rack. Ostensibly, unless you are dripping with sweat or wearing 1rebel attire, you will be treated as a hostile if you fill up your water! Even after I had explained I had just done two back-to-back classes they huffed, shrugged at one another and continued to fold towels and chat amongst themselves. Never known anything quite like it! For the reason, Iā€™ll be pausing my membership indefinitely and certainly never to return to the Victoria branch again.

Can't believe I've waited so long to try this out. Ben was super motivating with a varied play list that made the spin session feel like only 15-20 mins the time flew by I thought I would feel self-conscious but its so dark and fun in the room that your just focusing on the workout and so is everyone else. The next session was reformer pilates which I have now become obsessed with. Make sure to prƩ-order your shake if your going for a 7pm class as the shake bar will be closed when you get out.

Best spin class in London- itā€™s completely OTT and I love it. The insane sound/ lighting rig and brilliant instructors really set you up for a good day. I would give five stars if it werenā€™t for my personal nemesis: the lockers. I have been locked out of my locker three times in as many weeks and itā€™s not because I have forgotten my code. After a tough workout the last thing you want to do is go back down three flights of stairs to get help- even worse if youā€™re fresh out of the (very nice) showers. Itā€™s such a pain for the staff to have to keep running up the stairs literally every 5 minutes and I really feel for them- 1Rebel HQ, please, please sort out your lockers, it makes us late for work!

Great spin studio, reminds me of Printworks main dance hall. Cool looking reformer studio too, but not had a class at that one yet

I have recently become obsessed and visit numerous times a week now. All of the instructors are great and have totally different routines and playlists which is refreshing. So many nice touches such as the cold towels and products in the changing rooms. The only downside is that often the classes are booked up within minutes of being released meaning you often have to be on the waitlist!

Great location. Big changing room with many showers. Chilled towels is a nice touch. Big indoor cycling studio (over 70 bikes) with high ceilings so doesn't feel cramped. Shoes, towels, water bottles all available. You can digitally check yourself in so you do not need to queue at Reception. I also enjoy that Reformer is available at this location. Unfortunately it lacks a community vibe. People do not call each other by their names. Depending on where you are in the cycle studio the speaker/lights might be right on top of you, the instructors do not ask if the music volume is ok for everyone so you need to choose wisely. No technique corrections during the cycle classes.

I have done both ride and reformer at Victoria and the product is amazing! However the stand out for me is the FOH staff - always laughing and welcoming me with a smile! There's no other studio like it, which is why I keep coming back!

Iā€™ve been going to 1rebel for a few years now and recently took a year off due to pregnancy/ postpartum. I always found the front of house staff rude (particularly at the Victoria branch) but coming back very recently after this time off I was unpleasantly surprised to find them even more rude than before. Itā€™s as if they are doing you a favour by letting you take a class- even though you pay through the roof for the honour. The classes themselves are great but there are a ton of spin classes in London that are just as good that Iā€™d much rather spend my money. I wonā€™t be going back.

Favorite place for reformer Pilates classes!! Instructors are always so full of energy and vibrant personality, giving clear and precise directions! Classes are intense but fun, and changing rooms/shower always so clean!

  • 1/5 NS N. 4 months ago on Google
Honestly can't recommend. I arrived on time for a Reformer class, and wasnā€™t allowed in as ā€œthe door for the pilates room was closedā€œ even though I arrived a minute early which was enough time to join the class. Appalling customer service. They asked to email them to resolve the issue and only sent me their t&c. No attempt to help by management. Will not be coming back!

This company behaves extremely unethically towards customers: I wanted to buy a few Walk-in classes, and as I later discovered entirely by accident, I ended up subscribing to a membership costing Ā£1500 per year! I immediately informed them that it was a mistake! What do you think - they refused to terminate the contract and bombarded me with emails explaining that it was my fault. And they can't do anything! In other words, they simply don't want to. Of course, both parties can terminate the contract. They are just rare individuals seeking financial gain! Beware of them.

I always feel like I'm at a party rather than a workout with 1Rebel classes :) the spin classes in their Victoria studio are the best in the City

Pros : A few steps from the tube, the club is very nice and clean and you donā€™t need to bring your own locker. The bikes are easy to set up and the instructors are great (Clio and Martha), it is refreshing to start the day with a spinning class here ! Cons : There are not many explanations when you get there the 1rst time, how to set up the bike and I found the changing rooms myself. Music is too loud before the class gets started, canā€™t hear each other. I read some reviews of people saying the music was too loud during the class, Iā€™ve sat under speakers and it didnā€™t bother me (I am sensitive though). Apparently you can ask for earplugs at the desk if needed. No screen on the bikes with technical specs (rpmā€¦).

Always a great experience at 1Rebel Victoria, warm and friendly front of house team - especially Bennie and Kirsty! - and inspiring trainers. Fab facilities and loving the new concept Reformer.

I did a fantastic spin class with Abbie this afternoon !! Great music and energy ! Iā€™ve been to many many spin studios in London and am fairly new to Rebel but always enjoy coming here . Super friendly front desk team , I asked the ladies name who helped me on this occasion as I needed more help than usual and apparently itā€™s Kirsty W ! Very smiley and patient and was much appreciated! Look forward to my next visit :)

The best spin class in London. The service is excellent as always with a particular shout out to Scarlett from front of house who is always very welcoming and goes that extra mile to make sure you are happy! The facilities are spacious, clean and convenient! Thanks 1 Rebel!

Went to Victoria for my first ride class since an injury and couldnā€™t have asked for more. I was made to feel really welcome when I got there by a young guy called Bennie and he made me feel at ease, as I was slightly nervous getting back into it! Customer service was great from the get go and the class was so much fun with amazing music. Will definitely be back soon!

Went to a Bruno vs Usher class here and it was amazing! The mezzanine Ride studio is really cool.

Generally great classes and instructors (although spin studio is excessively warm and cramped), well-equipped changing rooms but SO busy and cramped at peak times. Unfortunately, customer service is really underwhelming (bordering on rude) for such expensive classes.

  • 1/5 Moe H. 1 year ago on Google
Reception were proud to be rude. The system rules are structured against you. Unless you donā€™t care about your money going to waste. Some trainers were actually nice though. Nonetheless, I would NEVER come here again.

Wrote a review about 1Rebel on the OG one in St Mary Axe but visited Victoria for a spin class that certainly did not disappoint. The space and designs are incredible. Probably the best spin studio in london
