The gym was disgustingly dirty when I joined up, I complained several times and they said they would clean it and then never did so I tried to cancel my membership multiple times by filling out membership enquiry forms, within the required 14 day cooling off period. I also called the center multiple times but no one answered and I found out today that had removed me from their system but were still going to charge me for my membership so I ended up having to cancel my direct debit with them. They have really bad customer service and their facilities are dirty.

Good swimming pool! Overcrowded a times but good working hours. Staff at the desk is very well trained, polite and professional. Prices are reasonable. No long term agreements which is great, easy to sign up, freeze or cancel Never tried their gym, but pool is fine, do give it a go

Definitely one of the more disappointing Westminster Council Everyone Active gyms. It offers loads of activities and facilities, but it’s mostly run down. Machines in the gym take weeks to months to get fixed, despite repeated chasing. The gym gets extremely busy. Cleaning is very poor in the gym, pool and changing rooms. When they do clean the gym, they seem to only do it at peak times around 6pm on a weekday… Deep cleaning seemingly never takes place. Staff are completely disinterested. Positives are it’s in a good location and it’s decent value.

Sports Hall walls are much nicer than they used to be and it's in nice blue. The ceiling isn't white but woody brown and overall, it is a very nice hall for badminton. Very happy they have done some refurbishment in the hall as well as the reception. Spot lights get in your sight sometimes, but much better than other centers with white walls.

Imagine arriving for a swimming lesson and the teacher just not turning up. Imagine asking all the staff and just getting shrugs. Imagine complaining and not getting an apology. Imagine no more! For just £37 per month you too can experience it for real! Edit : 1/ the prices have gone up 2/ because of their "outdoor shoes OK poolside" policy you can be sure your little ones are swimming in the little bits of street grime everyone walks in

Dirty and cold pool and pretty filthy changing rooms. Really run down. Not really fit for purpose if you want to take your children for a swim. Thought I would give it a try after many years of absence for the same reasons as the one cited above, but there has been no improvement, just deterioration. The life guard (a Brazilian dude) was very friendly.

Why are the kids from Grey Coat Hospital School having their PE sessions at the gym on Wednesday afternoon? That's just lazy education! I went to that school back in 2000 and we never went to the gym! We had a proper PE lesson. The teacher doesn't even show them what to do! She just chills out on the floor on her phone and lets them crack on. The students just end up using the equipment while staring at their phones too as that's what the teacher does. It's facilities (treadmills) are often broken. Would love to see more Aerobics classes available during the week rather than just the weekend as I work every weekend so not been able to try that class. Also would like public swimming to be available before 4pm during the week.

Am I the only one disgusted by the fact that ppl enter the pool area with shoes on, walking near the edge of the pool with dirty shoes and also pushing prams all over where ppl walk bare feet?!? Then enter in the water?! It’s utterly gross Parents entering showers with shoes on to help the kids washing, again disgusting. No policy about removing shoes and wear flip flops or slippers? The showers also are a struggle to use specially for little ones. C’mon people, It bloody common sense! You step on everything out there including dogs poos and pees then bring this in…

Grotty changing rooms with no locks on lockers. Floor is caked with dirt and damp. Drains in the showers are blocked and reeks with the smell of damp and mould. Shower heads don’t work, only spurts out water in drips. Gym is dark and dreary with equipment facing the wall. Little air conditioning. Broken and dirty equipment and not very spaced out. You have not much choice than to work out right next to people because of the equipment spacing, it’s very off putting. Grumpy staff who don’t seem to want to be there. Felt like a maze trying to get to the gym itself. I’ll probably catch a bacterial or fungal infection from the changing rooms, showers, or gym. I wanted to spend as little time there as possible. Needs a very good, deep clean, and a desperate revamp!

Very dirty facilities. I've seen vomit in the bathroom sinks, and dirt cakes on gym machines. The machines are also old, and frustrating to use because of the rust. There is never any soap or hand sanitiser, and the smell of chlorine from the pool makes the gym (in a separate area) stink - how?! Also the classes are always fully booked which is annoying. Pay more money and go elsewhere, or don't bother.

This sports centre presents good value for money for swimming, gym and sports. As expected noting that it’s council run, it is tired in areas and in need of refurbishment or new equipment. On the positive side it is very clean and the staff are really nice.

Their swimming program is rubbish and the pools aren't cleaned properly. The management chooses to shut the pool, close swimming lanes, prioritize outsiders events over regular paying members without any proper communication. The staff is unfriendly and unhelpful at times when this happens also

Absolutely terrible. Turned up for a badminton session only to find out it was cancelled because of a double booking. I received no cancel confirmation and when I asked the receptionist for a refund she had her headphones in and was ignoring me. Truly incompetent staff with no customer service skills. I also noticed other very similar reviews, perhaps Queens should fix their booking system ASAP so customers aren’t turned away AFTER booking and turning up. A customer service class wouldn’t go a miss either!

👍👍 Fitness first on Baker Street is a great gym. More than that-- given the location in prime Marylebone this is a gym that is so good I have felt lucky that a gym as good as this exists so close to my house. 👍👍 I had such a great experience at UP Mayfair! My husband trained with them a year ago and the results were incredible. When I struggled with my weight after lockdown, I decided a big change was needed. Best decision I ever made - wish I had done it sooner. The training program is hard but I genuinely...
