I first visited Horizons in 2013, and then was a member in 2017. I rejoined as a member several months ago. In that time, I have seen the facilities decline in quality. Visiting recently, I was met with a sign saying that the boiler had broken and the water would be cold / the jacuzzi would not be in operation. Although this is the first time it has happened, what was challenging was that I brought a guest and they were not informed of this until after they had paid £15. In the changing room, the changing cubicle was out of order, the shower floor remains smashed after several weeks and the hairdryer hasn't been replaced after it explored in my hands a fortnight ago. It doesn't even have an out of order sign on it. This is in a context of a changing room that often smells of human waste, I assume as a result of bad drainage, and has approximately half of the lockers out of order at any one time. Every time you open the changing room door, you are hit by a smell of dirty toilets. When I rejoined, I was surprised that the membership remained at £69 since the classes have all been cancelled. I am even more surprised that Horizons continues to market itself as a high end gym, and charges customers, accordingly, when the facilities are worse than public baths. I enjoy the quietness of the pool, the friendliness of the staff and the convenience of the location. However, I can't justify paying £69 a month for the quality that is on offer. When I emailed the management with my complaints asking them to address them, the email was ignored.

Not as luxurious as they claim. The manager (I've forgotten his name, Sri Lankan (?) not sure if he is still there), is blatantly racist and rude to black people. One rule for us, and another rule for non-black people. Despite the fact there are situated in North Brixton, we are clearly not welcome there. I would never set foot in that club again. No doubt there will be some cock n bull reply to this review. I can expand further if need be.

Standards are slipping at Horizons Spa. I have been a member for years but it seems it is ok for the staff not to take seriously the complaints raised by members about insanitary conditions and behaviours at the gym and pool. I am really disappointed, having recommended the place to many people over the years.

They say you can use the facilities anytime- wrong! They have schoolars sitting in the pool all day and you are not allowed there- health and safety they say. Staff is never at their desk, only appear in the evening to kick you out because, and I quote 'they want to go home'. Club is saving energy, so do not expect a hot sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. Administrator will put it up only when it is getting busier. Do not sign up.

Everytime I go to the club they take something away. They now make me change for football in a toilet and sometimes cancel matches for no reason with no advanced warning. The 2 stars u have given it reflects that it has previously been a good place and I assume has the potential to do so again.

Used to like coming here once a month or so and paying the day pass rate of £10 mainly for the pool and sauna. Today I went in and the manager of some sort told me the day rate never existed and asked me who let me in previously. He was blatantly rude to me and accused me of lieing. Facilities are poorly kept and gym is lacking lots of half decent equipment. The sauna is the only selling point. Monthly membership is £60 which is extortion for what you get. Avoid. In response to your reply. I know because I have been here every month at least once a month. No need to get snarky when you know you're wrong. Also you are not busy there is never anyone in the gym including on this visit as you can see in the window on the way in. I now understand why there is no one there. I'll gladly take my £10 elsewhere.

I lived here for a summer (it is a student residence) and it was terrible quality. It has a nice gym and pool, but the rooms and service are awful. Everything is old, and we had lots of problems: WiFi got broken for weeks (I had to buy my own WiFi router because they didn't want to fix it! ), our oven literally exploded (it hadn't passed the mandatory electrical revisions for ages), our toilet got broken like five times, and we had to use a public one nearby... Also fire came out of the cloth drying machine... unbelievable, really Besides that, breakfast was a bit lame, but at least rthere was a Tesco nearby, and there where lots of buses at five min walk from the building, which was good.

Poorly run facility. Stopped proving classes from September & bluntly refused to reduce membership fee. Advised to cancel membership and give reason re-classes for immediate cancellation. Than charge for the extra month regardless. Poor cleaning practice... is happening during opening hours - very destructive and noisy + all the dirty water from the floor end up in the pool (not been in it since witnessing). Stay away.

Excellent customer service but...out of date equipment, pool is used by billion school kids on daily base, really small gym area but of peak completely empty so useable in off peak times. To expensive for what you get. Also no parking (resident permit holders or pay and display but never available parking spaces).

Superb gym / leisure club, easily the best in Hampshire and one of the few companies that actually paused my membership direct debit during lockdown.

The gym, pool and spa are a fantastic haven tucked away in Stockwell. Great staff, very clean & never busy during the day (when I go). Love it!

It's an amazing place for indoor and a few outdoor recreations; I especially loved the spacious swimming pool and kindda liking, though! I reckon the people are nice and sweet and everyone will enjoy their visits for sure. In addition, the facilities in the gym and the steaming areas are awesome. They do have many more facilities and also has a football pitch. In general, it's a wonderful place for much more activities to maintain physical health with a decent membership!
