The new refurbished Gym/Sports Centre building is so nice, I fell in love even more once I saw it. A well on lovely upgrade with more variety of facilities and equipment to use in the Gym compared to the temporary facility extension block building. There is now upgraded/ 3 new studios for different type of classes to be held in. The changing rooms, showers and toilets are also very nice to use. Once again the Staff are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional and strive to do the best they can to provide excellent service. Look forward to working out more again in this Gym and the success of the organisation business.

A good university gym that has everything I need for a workout. The gym has been temporarily relocated while the main building is being renovated, but there is a much reduced membership (£10-£15 per month) in the meantime as the gym area is smaller and there are less machines. I don't use them, but there are also fitness classes. Convenient to my workplace, modern machines, not too busy during the day. Looking forward to when the renovations are finished. Gym is available on PAYG (Hussle app), but better value to do a full membership while prices are reduced.

Friendly staff and a clean, spacious environment with low monthly prices. Easy to book classed and a decent range of activities to take part in.

The memberships are a real bargain while the university is undertaking renovations in the main gym. Have a look at them before you sign up, make sure the limited facilities are enough for your needs, but if they are it's great value and open to everyone. They offer classes or gym access, or both.

Friendly, welcoming staff. The cardio suite (treadmills, bikes, cross-trainers, rowing...) and resistance machines (weights) are modern and in a bright, well-kept space. It rarely feels "busy" so great if you are serious about doing your workout (or feel cautious because you're new to working out!) A good range of exercise classes, as well as running training courses, personal training, and holiday camps for kids. The FTZ suite has some great equipment for switching-up workouts. Free-weights area is smaller and has a bit of an old school vibe that will appeal to some and not others. Changing facilities are basic but well-maintained. The centre is located on 2.5 floors. Lifts, adapted showers and toilets, and a family changing space are available for people with limited mobility. Music volume isn't overwhelming and there are two off-peak mornings where music is turned off for visitors who thrive better in quiet.

Facilities are now a bit tired and old so it can be challenging to use e.g. lighting is not of the best standard and changing rooms are quite stark. Service could be better. It is often slow, not very switched on and can be a challenge to get the staff to understand fairly simple things. There isn't really a customer mindset.

I’ve to the LSBU Active many times, the equipment is all functioning and high quality, they have incredible events almost every week, and the staff is very supportive.

Amazing staff. Sports hall has a variety of activities. Gym has extensive machines and free weights. New cross fit room is well equipped and there are a plethora of classes available

Good badminton courts with high contrast lines. Not slippery. Walls are greyish beige. The ceiling is a bit low but not ridiculously low. I didn't mind. Nice clean toilets and changing. Water fountains nearby. Overall, I liked it a lot.

Been to a sports hall only. Ceiling is a bit low and the hall is too "loud" possibly because of that. Friendly staff. Clean and roomy changing rooms.
