Boycott this place. I noticed a customer wearing a very small Palestine sticker on their jacket and the security confiscating them off of him and saying they don’t accept that. In this day and age a nightclub should not be silencing people. It’s truly disgusting and it was such a shameful thing to see. They did not even consider the person may be from Palestine or they simply care for human rights but this is a clear stance this venue has taken and it was utterly repulsive to see. Anyone with a care for human rights should stay clear of this establishment.

I'm an American visiting and this was one of the only bars open at 3am on a Sunday. We came 30 minutes only to be turned away because my British friend looks Pakistani. They only asked for his ID, only asked him questions like where was he from- then said they don't allow track suits?! He's in his 40s, clearly and very British. This is a dive bar, open at 3am let's call a spade a spade- that was blatantly racist. I've never experienced anything like this.

LOVE THIS PLACE !!! Firstly, it's the only place in Dalston with a 6am Licence - It's great to have a new LGBTQ+ Venue opening anywhere after so many have been closing. It's got cute decor, the sitting area with a bar is separate to the dance floor with a bar - the DJ Booth is in perfect position and had great DJ's on the night I attended - very attentive Bar Staff - the dance floor was packed with a great crowd and the vibe was friendly, euphoric and up for a party - Will be back soon !!!

My low scores are the for the security. You don't have to be rude, bullying, unfriendly to keep a spa e safe. It's a shame because the inclusive trans vibe and crowd are awesome, but the security staff manage to suck the joy out of it.

Absolutely superb venue with friendly staff and an intimate atmosphere. As a trans masc person I felt safe respected and will be going back soon. The music was best I've heard in years and I'm so grateful for this venue in London after being to some really unfriendly places. Ten out of ten. Love it

Visited Village last night just to be told on the door at 2AM that only groups are being let in, and single people won't be admitted!!! The bouncer told me that this is owners and councils requirement! Is this guy for real ?? I've never heard such a rubbish before! So I said, I will just wait for a group of people and join them, so I can get in - been told that's not possible haha! LGBTQ places supposed to welcome anyone, clearly this place is not welcoming single people! Don't waste your time on talking to the bouncers with challenging intelligence levels! Go somewhere else...

We went to this bar on Friday, I think about 9pm roughly. Doorman was rude to start with - just a generally unfriendly approach (but nice doormen a rare, sadly). The main problem we had was we got inside and ordered “two single gin and tonics”. The guy poured the gins in front of us, then took the glasses out the back, out of sight, to add the tonics and brought them back. They tasted very odd, which may have just been cheap tonic, but it was weird that they didn’t pour these in front of you. What made it worse, if it was just cheap tonic, the two SINGLE gin and tonics came to £17.50. I checked that these were definitely single and he confirmed. That’s way too expensive, even for London! We were the only two customers in there, and I think I now know why. Would absolutely give this place a miss. We drank our drinks fast and left.

Great atmosphere, super friendly crowd and beats were banging all night long. If you are in London check this place out. Reasonable prices and friendly bar staff ...what more do you want. ♥️♥️🙌💯 Xxxx

Good club, weird bouncers. Was let in multiple times, but then not, and then let in. Had paid and had a stamp. Weird

Great new addition to the LGBTQ+ scene. Super friendly staff since new management took over, that includes the bouncers who treat everyone with utter respect. This place reminds me of good old days at Joiners Arms and East Bloc, it's just super relaxed fun in a no fuss alternative queer environment. A big plus is the late 6am licence! Had always a fun time when there!

Great new addition to the queer LGBTQ+ scene. Gay bar that turns into a nightclub with a late licence until 6am so perfect when the other clubs shut. Super friendly staff including respectful bouncers. Very relaxed no fuss venue where you can just relax and be yourself. Great DJs on Tafkanik 's night!

Very questionable security - most door staff very nice and apologetic for 1 door lady/owner? who demanded we buy her a drink to get in (otherwise £10 entry allegedly). Dead before 3AM

I went last night with my girlfriend to be accosted at the door because 'we clearly didnt know eachother', they made us show photos of us in the past to prove we knew eachother, which we personally found to be extremely disrespectful and invasive. We were then told that we 'looked to straight'. Don't go here unless you're a walking stereotype.

Fabulous night at Medicina/Village 512. Highly recommended club with super friendly staff and crowd. Spent the evening listening to cool House/Dance music provided by the wonderful DJ Blonde Spirit and friends. Great atmosphere 10/10!

Really disappointing night. It could have been fun as the music was good. But the place was empty, we paid £10 each to get in and on asking the bartender was told there were NO FUNCTIONING TOILETS in the venue and you have to pee in the street. We asked for a refund and they agreed but it took hours for the venue and event staff to argue between themselves about who's responsibility it was to refund us and then they claimed they didn't know how to use the card machine so no refund was made. We were spoken down to and explained to like children, overcharged for our drinks, told "we don't do singles," had our coats taken from us while staff took us outside to talk and then they tried to charge us to get them back when all we wanted to do was leave from the moment we arrived. The lady working the door was very sweet and understanding and tried her best to navigate the situation when the manager and event promoter started treating us like it was our fault that their venue was flooded with sewage and they weren't warning any of the customers coming in.

I went years ago and it was very very different the new lgbt team have completed the transformation went tonight In a group of trans and non binary and lesbian people we had a wicked time. Music system was amazing and the security used the right pronouns and asked when they were unsure which was a really nice touch. Will be visiting soon again. MEDICINA and HOMOSTASH and QUEERTECH are my favourite nights and love the late night parties.

Was there on Easter Sunday, the DJ was good but everything else about the place sucked… the Dj would play some really sick music and then the manager would come up to him and he’d change it, if ur gonna hire a Dj let him do his job…

This is my every weekend must go to place on the map of London. Thanks to Marianna - the resident DJ and Marco - the manager - I feel there like in my second home. Great vibes, even greater music and a mixed LGBTQ-friendly crowd where everyone can be themselves. After East Bloc on City Road has been closed a couple of years ago I've been looking for a new venue where I can party till the break of dawn. I found it.

I was visiting from America came to this place draped in designer LV jacket Burberry shirt designer jeans easily the poshest person in the place. They told me no single entry you have to bring someone. Rubbish. I'm just going to assume they don't want black people there. Needless to say never again. The people and the security look very dirty anyway.

Ordered a drink and they got it wrong - politely asked if they could amend it and they were totally rude and dismissive. Rubbish atmosphere, rubbish staff, would not recommend. plenty of nicer pubs nearby xx
