👍👍 I went on my first hike with this group to boxhill and I couldn't recommend them more. The hosts were friendly and welcoming as were all the hikers. I went on my own, as did lots of others, and it was just like being with friends! I'll definitely be back more often. It's such a great way to see beau... I went on my first excursion with Maria at Seven Sisters and I am happy to have chosen this group. I felt at ease straight away, they are very professional, kind but above all they make your day peaceful and fun but tiring at the same time. I can't wait for the next one.

I have been twice with Hiking in London, and I could say that it is a fantastic group of cheerful people who enjoy hiking and having great rest at the pub at the end of the effort. The trails are always well organized, and the atmosphere is super relaxed. I hope to join more trips soon. Highly recommended.

Great hiking experience with the Hiking in London club. Started the day wondering if this was right for me. Ended the day laughing more than l have in a couple of years, relaxed and making new friends. My reservations turned into a raving fan! The Balcombe hike was picturesque and rewarding. Highly recommended! Thank Maria and Thomas!

I have been a member for a couple of months and have had an amazing time with this group. Beautiful hikes with great friendly guides, this group also does very interesting overseas hikes eg Everest base camp. This group provides a great relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Met great people from Spain, Columbia, Bolivia, Argentina, Australia, UK, Ireland, Canada, Lebanon, Oman, Sri Lanka, India, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Papa New Guinea, China and France. Multi lingual group, everyone speaks English, great opportunity to practice Spanish regardless of your level.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this hiking group at Seven Sisters yesterday. The hike was marketed as 12 miles with a swim at Eastbourne, returning to London Victoria around 7 pm. The hiking leader Maria made the decision (without consulting the group) to return to London much later, arriving in London after 9:30 pm. She claimed it was because the earlier train was cancelled and time was needed for the slower walkers to spend time in Eastbourne. However all walkers were already there and had plenty of time for a drink or swim so she wasn’t leaving anyone behind. According to Trainline, there were plenty of trains leaving earlier. Eastbourne is a rocky beachside resort with not much to do, and it was never communicated that we would be spending 4 hours there. People were tired after the 12 mile hike and most of the group wanted to go back to London at the time documented in our tickets. Maria was completely dismissive about the groups concerns and said if we wanted to go back earlier, to buy another ticket (because this tour gets a group train ticket for the discount, a requirement is everyone travels at the same time). I suspect Maria and her colleagues just wanted to stay longer because the weather was nice and disregarded the interests of the people who paid for the trip. A few of us ended up buying an additional train ticket to return to London earlier, at our own expense, making this trip cost £50 vs the original £36. The walk itself was lovely, but I would recommend using a more professional tour group who is able to stick to the times communicated when booking.

I went on a really nice hike to the White Cliffs of Dover with Hiking in London on Saturday and I will definitely be back for another hike with this group again. Our guide Maria was very friendly, helpful and good at directing us. The turnout was amazing and I met some really nice, interesting and fun people. The route was beautiful and very enjoyable. The whole trip was so well organised, from clear meeting points, to getting our transport tickets brought for us to making sure everyone had a great time. Thanks Hiking in London!

I have been going to this group for a year now. After lockdown I really wanted to go out and that's how I found the group and got the membership which saved a lot of bucks. This group is not just for hiking, it's for a new experience, meeting amazing people with different backgrounds in the way and having lots of fun. You might not know Spanish but still they are very welcoming. The good thing is there are two coordinators, one leads and one stays behind to make sure everyone is fine. In the end the drinks and dancing off will make your tiredness go away. I will highly recommend to anyone who wants to join the group.

I really enjoyed the walks organised by Maria and Thomas at Hiking in London. Each walk has its unique feature. Depending on each person’s fitness and ability the walks could be chosen with varying degree of challenges. Dancing on the return journey is a bonus. I feel great after each walk.

I really enjoyed the hiking - it was formidable and will definitely return for more. a few points maybe to consider in the future: could you just explain a bit more before we go either high up or steep hills as I was not prepared at all the altitude! didn't check on line before hand and I believe you could have just given us a short warning. when we finished the track i think you could have just said a few more words, direct us to your website - future hiking, asking questions etc.. but all in all it was very good - when is your next one?

Hiking at the Cliffs of Dover was an awe-inspiring experience. The breathtaking coastal views, fresh sea breeze, and the sense of tranquility made it a memorable adventure. The diverse landscape and vibrant flora added to the charm, creating a perfect escape into nature. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a rejuvenating outdoor getaway!

Maria and Tomas are wonderful guides. It's by far the best hiking group I've been on. A very mixed group of people of all ages and nationalities. Welcoming to everyone and it's very professionally run. Maria and Tomas use the professional equipment for the longer hikes and are experienced, both with leading a group and with their knowledge of the many places they have hiked in. The pace is not ridiculously fast, this is important, as with other groups I've felt like I was running instead of walking and it was not enjoyable. Both are super approachable and kind. The group has familar faces each time as well as new people, which keeps it fresh. I also like the fact you can book individual hikes and there are different levels of difficulty for each one. If you want to get outside and get fitter, join one weekend. You won't be disappointed!

It has been a lovely day trip, thanks to Julio and the volunteers. The scenery is breathtaking (not only because of the steep incline). The hike follows a designated route, including a section of the river. All group members made it from Seaford to Eastbourne, despite their diverse fitness levels. But Julio had the difficult task to balance the needs of all group members, making extra stops to wait for the once which were walking at a slower pace to allow them to catch up with the rest of the group. Despite the fact that we started the hike later than expected due to train cancellations, there was enough time for a sightseeing tour of Eastbourne and a pub visit, before everyone rejoined at the train station to catch a later train than expected back to London. I would not recommend this trip for hikers with poor fitness levels due to the terrain and for those walking at a slower pace than 4.5km per hour, in order to avoid additional waiting time for the rest of the group. In addition, this route has been proven to be difficult to master for certain dog breeds, which had to be carried by their owners. Please do not forget to arrive with plenty of water, as there are very few opportunities to purchase drinks on route. Thank you for this wonderful day!

Have done 2 hikes now with this group, they are very friendly and welcoming to new people. Trips are organised very well so you don't have to worry about the logistics, just turn up. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a hiking group to join.

It was an absolutely lovely walk and I will highly recommend for any hikers. The view was stunning. The organiser, Maria is extremely friendly and nice (as always), the pace was right (not too fast and not too slow) with regular small stops so everyone can catch up or take photos.

👍👍 Really beautiful palace, which oozes with the history that must have coursed through it for centuries.
