The BEST Chinese restaurant in London. Best dimsum and phenomenal authentic dishes with reasonable prices. Also recommend course menu - although you will be so full for 2 days!

The place in London for dim sum. A lovely place to spend for Sunday lunch. Presentation of the food was lovely. Service was quick. Food was tasty. The smoking banana dessert was dramatic. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend however it is pricey when compared to other dim sum restaurants. The food lives up to the cost though…

Look, as someone from Asia, I have pretty high standards when it comes to good tasting Chinese food. So far, this is the only restaurant (or one of the very few) I’ve tried that actually has good tasting, not bland Chinese food. My family and I came back here 4 times because it was just too good. 100% recommended

Authentic Hong Kong style dim sum. Food was delicious and service was good. A little disappointed with the Yin-Yang fried rice. The portion is quite small and not as nice looking as the picture in the menu. The taro coconut tapioca dessert was lack of taro flavour.

i've visited here few times, dimsum was super duper tasty love it. They do dimsum only for lunch. Other dishes are okay. Service was terrible (random staff) even they didn't get a card split. I don't know exactly why but staff just point that under (i can't remember exactly) this split price can't pay by card. It was not even a pound.

Superb food, superb value for money. The Royal China chain undoubtedly serves superb Chinese food, and we've never been disappointed each time we visit. However, what IMO stands out the most is its value-for-money *relative* to what you can get at typical London Chinatown restaurants. Royal China costs about 10-20% more than standard London Chinatown fare, but it offers quality and ambience that far exceeds the price premium paid.

Posh location and Top of the market Chinese restaurant. Good all round menu strong on fish. But the chicken and pork and veggie stuff we tried was excellent, plus the crispy duck. Need to ask for extra sauces. Service was attentive, even on a summer Saturday evening, we were in a good location, easy to catch the eye of the swarm of waiters.

I came to this restaurant over 25 years ago. And I always dined here when i come to london . The service is fast , food is delicious and will prepared , and the host is excellent. For me , the best crispy duck is served in this restaurant. And you must order the peppers chili fried prawns. Also ordered the pecking duck, fantastic, crispy skin and soft tender meat.

I ordered too much. 🤭 my favourite is the chicken lemon sauce ( not sure if I remembered the name correctly). Love black bun dessert 💝

This is the must go to place for dim sum in London! It is absolutely fantastic, the service is super quick and the food is the best I have ever tried. Pork dumplings were my absolute favourite together with the beef noodles. You need to queue, inside is packed and it can get quite hot and the staff is not the nicest, but if you want ti have the best Chinese food experience it is definitely worth it! We were a group of 5 and spent 37 pounds each with no alcohol included.

Royal China serves dishes that not all Chinese restaurants would not offer such as the crispy duck or lobster noodles. While the food is not the best Chinese food ever, it’s awesome for what you can find in the area. Overall, if your looking for good Chinese food in London, i recommend trying this place.

Been here at least a dozen times usually really good. Never got the Yeung Chow fried rice. Today I discovered that it's14.50 for a tiny bowl of rice. Do better?

The Royal China Restaurant (Baker Street) serves amazing Dim Sum menu and has more variety than most of the places I've visited so far in both UK and Switzerland 🤍 . I actually have a reservation at another Royal China branch nearby but we accidentally saw a big que of people and mistaken that this is the place. We got to sit and realise that we were in the wrong branch 😅 But awayway we ordered and I emailed that branch that we are in the different building by mistake. The menu are very similar though so I am happy 😉 . I highly recommend the reservation at another branch, or you can que up 30 mins before the restaurant open time (12pm) to get the seats in the first round :) You won't regret this. Oh, evey dishes are great except the last dish, noodle with bbq pork 😫, as the noodle is not of good quality and over cooked, and we have had a better bbq pork so I don't recommend this dish here though. . . #mmwhattoeatinlondon #itslondonbaby #mmlondon2023

Food wasn’t good. It was quite bland. Best dish was the prawns and maybe squid but even that was a bit hard. I asked for jellyfish to be cold but still it was warm and packed with the hot food…

My girl loves this restaurant. So do I 😀 Sweet and sour pork with king prawn fired rice are her always picks. I ordered and collected dimsum to-go for her last meal in London. We loved to have your dishes again in 2023 (as we did in 2022)and hope to be there again soon. Nice servers are there!

Been here countless times. Hits the spot every time. Get there before 5pm for their dim sum. Their dim sum is ridiculously good. There always a queue on the weekends. If you get there before 12:30 you have a better chance of not waiting 20/30 minutes. However it is well worth the wait even if you have to wait. The service is decent they try their best as they are so very busy. We always get the dim sum with the crispy noodles in black bean sauce with beef.

Yes they are expensive but the quality of the dim sum has always been to a high standard, and I'm very happy to find that the quality remains the same post lockdown whereas the quality at many of their competitors has hit rock bottom. We came for dim sum lunch on a Thursday during half term, it wasn't too busy and service was fast and efficient. We enjoyed everything we ordered and wished we had time for more. Really recommend (check out the attached pics) the roast pork puffs and the shanghai pork dumplings - the ones here actually has soup in it, unlike a lot of other restaurants, so watch out when you bite into it.

The best Hong Kong style dim sum in London that I tried. Royal China was very clean and tidy looking when I visited. The dim sum dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The dishes were hot when I got them as if they were just cooked. I highly recommend the pawn and chive dumplings. I loved how the chives were cut into small pieces but still big enough to have a texture when I tasted them. The wonton noodle soup was great too with thin egg noodle and a few pieces of green vegetable. They are located within five walking distance to Queen Mary’s Rose Garden and Hyde Park. The staff there were very friendly. It’s nice to dine there.
