A lovely little pub, tucked away from the main streets. Howl at the moon all you want, with the occasional werewolf to keep you company. Delightful staff and good service. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the beer, a lager but with hops added. Not the pubs fault but just not my taste. A good place, left with a smile on my face.

Top tier boozer Solid Guinness, good range of drinks & savage tacos and chips from the kitchen As an Irish bar they show all the sport (including GAA) and also have trad on the weekends. Good times too, middle of the day job so you can pop in for tunes Great buzz in the place in general 🤌🏽

🚇 Hoxton 🍺 £6.15 Beavertown Bones Lager ❤️ A fun and diverse Hoxton boozer. . Getting here is easy with Hoxton overground station just a five minute walk away. . Hoxton’s pub landscape has been absolutely decimated, walking around Hoxton you will see numerous silhouettes of former public houses that have been converted for alternative use or just lie eerily dormant. The Howl at the Moon thankfully has survived this thoughtless erosion of history and community. . This Irish themed Victorian pub occupies a corner plot on historic Hoxton Street, a good day to visit is Saturday as you can take in the sights and sounds of Hoxton Street Market. . This is a one bar pub which is fairly compact due to the clever use of space to optimise the seating arrangements. Virtually everything is painted green to give that hint of the emerald isle, around the walls are a number of movie and pop art posters. . This pub supports local London breweries and has a diverse selection of beers. I played it safe and opted for a Beavertown lager, my pint was decent and just over six quid. Just a side note, I didn’t nick the glass. Food is also available here. . There were a couple of large groups in attendance, one of which started playing traditional Irish music. The music was fantastic and these guys are a regular fixture at weekends. The service was great, the staff here were really friendly. . The @hoxtonhowl is a fun pub with a little bit of something for everyone. The beer offering is diverse and promotes local London breweries. The Irish music was a touch of class and I loved it. Visiting the Howl at the Moon was a great experience, get it on your list. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 27/08/22

Outstanding Sunday roast with an Irish band playing and singing all afternoon. Amazing service which was welcoming, prompt, friendly and hospitable. We went as guests of regulars and were overwhelmed by the incredible atmosphere. Highly recommend.

'Grunge" style pub with scruffy wood style interior and accompanying (mainly) hipster /student type customers.. Relaxed during the day/early evening.. Welcoming bar staff with a wide range of beers but no real ale.. I had two tacos for £8 that were tasty but would have benefitted from some side sauce as they were a bit dry.. Bar the Tacos & no real ale, five stars if one likes this kind of pub..

This is one of the best pubs around this area. They stay open till 2AM on weekends and people are dancing on the tables by the end of the night singing along to bangers. The food is really on point for this kind of venue, they have a Thai chef there for the season and his menu, whilst being small and focused on a few great dishes, really impressed. The staff are always super nice as well which is so unusual for London.

The music, the atmosphere. The host is the most! Here they recorded the video “why’d you only call me when your high” by Arctic monkeys and there’s a picture in the toilet.

Fantastic pub, great Irish band on, fast service and excellent Sunday roast. My only advice would be to those with children or accessibility needs to phone ahead as it’s a tricky layout and they don’t have high chairs. But we had a great time.

Really lovely place. I was in here a couple of Sundays ago and the bar staff are really friendly and the food was delicious. I did hear a male member of staff talk in a really misogynistic way to the ladies behind the bar which is a shame to hear women being spoken to like that.

I spent New Year’s Eve at the howl after having spent my birthday there 6 months prior, and once again it did not disappoint! The whole night was a movie from start to finish - the host of the evening in the sparkly trousers was absolutely amazing and kept the atmosphere pumping all night long , and if I may say so looked absolutely breathtaking doing so. The staff were brilliant, always making sure everyone was being seen to at the bar, they were quick and efficient when serving and they were all lovely to interact with, even when I was slightly a little worse for wear, they treated me very well. Overall, a splendid evening and to top it all off you didn’t have to spend a fortune, a very reasonably priced establishment! The best Guinness, the best vibes and the best pub in London!

Think that this pub should do more to keep their female punters safe. A man at the bar was extremely rude and aggressive towards me and kept touching my face when I asked him not to. I pointed him out to the bouncers and he gave him a warning but did nothing. Later that night I saw the same man getting cornered by 4 police offers while leaving the bar and trying to fight them. I really hope he didn't bother anyone else after me or hurt anyone but I wish they had taken me seriously and kicked him out earlier to keep everyone safe.

Had my first ever drinks at this pub haha and couldn't have picked a better place for it! super cozy and the drinks are great, good price, really packed but that's half the fun, and surely a testament to how lovely it is!!

I love this pub. A wonderful, buzzing atmosphere, with great traditional Irish music played live on Sundays. The pub is small inside, which adds to its warm and welcoming vibe. It often plays football, which I fortunately love, so that's a benefit for me. But it isn't intrusive for those who aren't watching. The food has been good in the past but not so good recently.

Went here on NYE and had the best time! The atmosphere was exactly what you want on new years - dancing on tables, drinks flowing, great music. The managers, in particular, were welcoming and created a great vibe throughout - deffo recommend for a night out

Friendly welcome to start... (When the place only had a handful people in it) but soon made to feel not welcome by a couple of members of the bar staff once the place started to fill up with locals. Shame really as it was a really nice atmosphere with good beer.

No nub and atmosphere, but it was absolutely rammed when we went. The bar staff said it was always like this, so good place if you want a party but not great if you just want a drink and a chat.

Lovely local pub serving some quality pale ales on tap including Stone and Wood! What’s more, the joint is using an efficient and environmentally friendly drinks replenishment system as evidenced below 👍🏼 Not to be outdone, it also has effectively it’s own private garden adjacent which feels like a secret hideaway to bask in the sunshine. Toilets nearby are a huge plus and even a DJ busting out some chill melodies if you’re lucky on a weekend. All in all, glad to call it my local but would even travel from slightly further afield to check it out :)

This place has a large outdoor area in the park opposite with table service and a big screen showing football- so ideal for group bookings while indoor numbers are limited. They also had a decent taco truck. Closed slightly early for a Saturday which is why 4 stars otherwise 5

Cons: Place is absolutely full of small flies, there isn’t a spot in this pub that isn’t full of them. Would advise getting rid of the house plants as I imagine this is where they’re coming from. Very off putting watching a pint be pulled with flies buzzing around the glass. Tacos looked good but wouldn’t order food here because of the flies. Not sure if the young guy in the hat at the bar was new but couldn’t pull a decent pint and seemed more interested in messing around with his female colleague, not much professionalism. Pros: Some interesting beers on tap & liked the Brooklyn-esque decor.

Absolutely loved this pub. It was everything I want from a pub experience. A good selection of beers on offer (I do regret not having sampled Millions of Peaches - made with Peaches & Basil) and good bar staff. We were they on a Saturday and they had a band playing Irish traditional tunes. A rare find anywhere in the South East these days. Not sure if they do food as I was more interested in the beer! Thoroughly fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
