Visited
as
a
birthday
treat
and
this
is
one
of
the
worst
Bannatyne's
I
have
visited.
It
is
definitely
more
tailored
for
its
gym
members
rather
than
spa
guests.
The
pool
is
a
disappointing
size
and
was
not
very
warm.
There
were
only
3
loungers
availableand
already
taken,
and
two
normal
chairs,
again,
taken.
The
jacuzzi
has
4
main
jets
then
the
rest
of
it
was
tiled
so
you
were
simply
sitting
in
a
bath
of
warm-ish
water
whilst
other
people
sat
in
front
of
the
main
jets.
I
admit,
these
jets
were
powerful
when
I
eventually
nabbed
one.
The
steam
room
was
very
hot
and
steamy
so
good
in
that
sense,
but
busy
with
people
from
the
gym
chatting
loudly
so
not
very
relaxing.
The
sauna
was
not
particularly
hot.
Went
through
to
the
main
reception
and
"cafe"
to
get
something
to
eat.
Happy
to
see
this
place
features
a
Starbucks
and
I
asked
for
an
Iced
Caramel
Macchiato.
The
staff
member's
service
was
not
friendly
and
gave
off
a
very
cold
vibe.
My
drink
was
also
not
made
correctly
as
I
couldn't
taste
or
see
any
caramel.
Again,
I
think
she
was
more
of
a
gym
member
of
staff,
rather
than
Starbucks.
Had
the
tuna
cheese
panini
for
lunch
and
this
was
mediocre,
not
a
lot
of
tuna
or
cheese
present.
The
spa
element
was
the
saving
grace
for
us.
We
were
welcomed
by
a
really
lovely
lady,
who
also
did
one
of
our
massages.
We
loved
the
relaxation
room
and
spent
over
an
hour
there.
I
would
suggest
they
remove
the
water
beds
as
the
leather
was
cracking
and
this
was
quite
uncomfortable
to
lay
on.
The
massages
were
good!
The
only
recommendation
I
would
say
for
future
massage
goers
is
to
research
a
bamboo
massage
as
it
is
rather
painful
and
extremely
deep
tissue.
All
in
all,
if
you
are
looking
for
a
nice
Bannatyne
Spa
experience,
try
the
Bury
St
Edmunds
or
Colchester
branch,
and
avoid
this
one
like
the
plague!
